RTX 3080 vs Minecraft #UltimatePlay

demo that we just saw let's actually jump into the map itself which is the thing of beauty ah here we are ooh fancy explorer you have been tasked with analyzing the various alien ecosystems alien ecosystems located on this planet oh my gosh please be aware of danger look at this advice look at all of this chief operator of research okay we need to find the chief operator of this research facility but while we're doing that just look at everything around us the reflections on the ground all of the amazing lighting effects with this custom resource pack this stuff is awesome oh and i think i see some armor over here that we can get our hands on right now now in minecraft with rtx 3080 performance is faster across the board allowing you to experience stunning path traced visuals at smoother more responsive speeds with chunk distance cranked all the way up at much higher resolutions than normal so that way you can see some serious graphical display no matter where you are in game at some serious performance as well now what do we just get our hands on oh let's get this bread baby and taser charges amethyst and a stone pickaxe i feel we're gonna need these real soon i mean the detail is everywhere look at this we get right next to this yellow light right here and we begin to see that instant illumination even this little pottery block right here it's got a shadow being cast right behind it let's see what's inside oh yeah we just got our hands on a bunch of goodies check that out all right we gotta find this guy anyways to celebrate the launch of the rtx 30 series graphics cards nvidia has actually released two special worlds on the minecraft marketplace that are available free for download but you're only gonna be able to experience them like this with an rtx enabled gpu so make sure you get your hands on one stat what do we have in here check this out let's see ooh even more goodies hey oh we got a oh a taser nice oh i can't wait to go nuts with this thing most important of all nvidia has actually partnered with mojang's developers and released some updates for the game that further improve visuals and performance all details below let me be the first okay thank you you might have noticed that robot over there oh wow look at this well how should i say someone stole his gpu card because of the robots ron tx the ron tx rtx we're gonna get closer oh gosh we gotta get down missing components okay the area contains portals to visit a variety of different buyers different biomes i think we saw some earlier you should get in touch with our researchers in the different areas yeah i'm sure they'd appreciate your help i'm on it jim haha okay sounds good to me unfortunately they'd like something in exchange first before they want to do business naturally must be villagers so three artifacts from each biome and we need to find four rtx pieces so that we can power on ron tx oh boy yo we've got a serious adventure on our hands now okay so look at this as we slowly make our way into this brand new dimension you can already see the details of rtx showing their face everywhere with random light beams coming out from the sun we've got all of this luminescent lighting different color schemes all over the place you can even see the details in the landscape as we move between these shaded areas and the ones that have a little bit more brightness all over them and i feel like these guys are kind of bright i mean we'll have to find out once it's dark outside but looks like the path splits here let's see if we can find something of interest well this place looks interesting all right and it looks like there's someone right over there that has something to tell us too some kind of shrine i bet you're gonna be able to get one of our rtx parts right inside but before we solve the contents of this shrine in front of us why don't we explore some more of the portal pioneers map so you can get a good glimpse at what minecraft with ray tracing and this rtx 3080 can do for your gaming experience let's head into this forest trying to find one of these other rifts all right so we're in a brand new area icy snowy portal region this is a serious rift here first thing you'll notice right off the bat is the change in atmosphere both with the color scheme as well as the temperature wow this is cool look at all the reflections coming through like this ah you can literally see through the ice blocks and and i gosh the plants are not too happy to have me well thankfully they're stuck in place we've already got some scuba gear on hand here so we could take a dive and check out the underwater instead oh my gosh digging down deep or i guess swimming down deep is more appropriate here under water you can really make out all of the amazing glowing effects that rtx enables and all of these refractive light elements you can literally see the light bouncing off of blocks that even wouldn't normally have these reflective properties but with this graphics card i mean this world is literally transformed and i gotta say the atmosphere of this as well it's just something to just oh just take it all in guys it's amazing but there's even more to it than just this area but first let me say hi to this little guy what are you even hi all right let's kill it yeah oh my gosh the loudest thing i've ever heard and he just gave me something what what did he just drop fish yeah i'll take it oh wow look at this look it's like a rift of some sort and wow when you go on the other side the blocks they just what's in here whoa oh wow look we're we're back in the main forest area oh that is sick okay hold on okay guys now take in how beautiful this area is wow with the light rays and then we instantly get cast into darkness and i think that that right there is another rift for us to explore all right boys stay out of the way things are about to get real dicey i have a feeling hi cat hi explorer hi cath crystals are amazing aren't they they are look at these discovered a strange structure deep inside the cave okay we're not sure who built it but it looks like it was the cause for the strange whoa whoa when we get close to it it lights up checking it out just follow the crystals get past some spider-like creatures dude imagine this in just regular minecraft i mean i mean you couldn't you literally couldn't do this in regular minecraft the level of atmosphere that we get from the ray tracing graphics i mean the music and stuff that's all an amazing touch but just like my eyes are just it's so hard to take all of this in but i'm doing my absolute best and it seems to be working holy moly and this cave system just seems to stretch forever and ever and ever look at this the water effects too everything is just i mean it's just beautiful honestly like words cannot describe what i am witnessing right now like in the water toy okay get out of here i'm like literally trapped in a corner right now i need to oh man and we can see them on the other side of the reflective glass there or crystal whatever it is okay easy does it that looks like the area we need to go it is super foggy in that direction too okay i think we found another rift right here whoa wow look at this this is the darkest area yet we practically need the lights coming from these what fungi trees just to look around okay wow guys i found another riff tucked away oh wow what is this place lava all over this oh gosh what are you oh bad bad whoa why what are you might want to stay i don't like everyone's talking at me i'm so afraid oh gosh okay good luck yeah i think cool yeah thanks i get it because we're in lava area my wow okay guys this place is insane there is so much happening over here oh man and i feel like i feel like i'm just getting messed up on in every direction right now okay just eat some bread calm down why do you keep coming for me rain taser gun get him yeah oh they're everywhere no this place is very dangerous that's all i can say about that holy moly at least we got the checkpoint okay i'm gonna head back to main base let's go find that shrine from before that seems a little bit safer hi there what's your name explorer ronald this area is full of magical wildlife oh it sure is but down to business you got it intel reports a gpu part inside the stride okay this shrine contains mysterious blocks that you can push around serious blocks to push around seem to have a specific color assigned to that okay maybe this is the clue we need to unlock the secrets to the straw all right let's jump in go ahead maybe you can figure it out i hope we can figure it out now look at this already off the bat we can see rtx just totally revamping what you know about minecraft in fact wow look at this the water detail and everything wow and the shadows that it's casting all over it this is amazing this is really cool and like literally the same price as graphics cards from like a couple weeks ago this is really cool hold on a second i think things are about to get a little bit nutty here we have our hands on oh oh gosh whoa i think we just so so we can push these interesting so i think we need to push them to the appropriate yeah there's a design on the top there and then there's one right over here as well okay so then if we push this over maybe that'll begin lighting it up let me see okay you go ahead step on there and then hey that's a good start right there okay well now we can push this one right over here and get our hands on i don't know maybe the next room or something let me see go ahead on you go beautiful yes excellent all right up the stairs we go okay now we've got something here check this out hold on well we've got okay more colored block options here it looks like and oh whoa no mind blow i did not know what was about to happen there okay that's kind of spoopy to be perfectly honest so we've got even more color options here it looks like we're gonna have to do a little bit more tinkering to get these all to the right place so let's try and find some of these cubes i think if we put them right inside of here let me see there we go get on up there baby yes aha that's all we had to do okay so then now we just need to put this in the right spot so i think if we push it all the way very carefully ever so gently down this path we should be able to put it exactly on that red area over there okay so then i think all right not bad okay so just one more to go and with that i believe we did it hey we're in okay now we gotta find the next opening looks like it's right through here yeah this is something brand new huh oh wow look at this as we get closer the lights illuminate you can just see that much more clearly this is awesome oh i love this dude this graphics card is like a mind blow and we're running at a buttery smooth 60 fps like the whole way through all right and that is one please light up when you land and yeah we got it all right oh boy this one has holes all over the place we're going to be really careful now this part's going to be hard because we don't have a block that we can place there so we're just gonna have to extremely extremely carefully go around the hole oh my gosh i have never done something more nerve-wracking today at least oh we made that wow but i think there's another hole that we yep right there okay well we got a couple blocks to make that happen okay one more area to be very very careful about and look at that we're almost right there i feel like i feel like we're gonna get the piece after this i feel like this is it guys oh my gosh we're about to do it yo down you go baby that is all three yes beautiful watches it slowly very slowly navigates down but check it out they're all three lit now yes all right okay so we're headed up some stairs right now this is right in the next room that we were just in hey what do we have here we got an rtx part yes we got one of the rtx
