there's a new Bluey episode called surprise that came out recently that had tons of fun Antics with Bandit getting abused by Bluey but it also tackled a really special topic regarding disabilities you got something going on with your head and your body throughout the entire episode it has this core focus on Bandit wanting to watch the London marathon on TV an event that was airing the same day as this episode was released while taking care of all of Bingo's new make believe children I've had another baby jeez and running away Bluey but this event band is watching the London Marathon has the same annual wheelchair race in real life that is meant to help support athletes with disabilities and to help bring more visibility to the sport seeing this aspect of the London Marathon being supported isn't something you see tackled in media often so this is beyond special and this theme of supporting those with disabilities is also later reflected with the final baby of bingos is he okay no his head doesn't fit on his body properly but most importantly reflected with a really heartfelt speech near the end this won't hold you back you know why you've got a whole bunch of brothers and sisters who've got your back and your M and I are behind you all the way cuz we're a family I started talking about blue due to my history of working with kids in a therapeutic setting which has inspired me to start the series and seeing the way that this episode chooses to tackle this topic has stirred up the discussion that this possibly could be referring to Bluey or Bingo being near Divergent in some way due to how she reacts while the camera slowly pans the bluey when specifically talking about a condition that affects the body and the mind you got something going on with your head and your body it's basically your head and your body not only that but the speech Bandit gives seems to be important to him since we never seen Bandit openly give a heartfelt speech to a toy before in the series making it appear like a genuine conversation he had to give in the past the episode has a huge General underlying theme on disability so the episode making it appear significant for blue as well as everything else leads to me being quite the believer in this being reflective for the children since near diversity is a invisible disability and we even had previous moments in other episodes that alludes to this aspect you know she can't help it I know but what's really awesome about the speech that Bandit gives is that it's purposely vague so it could really be anything so it allows just about anyone who has dealt a difficult hand in Life or any parent that has a child with this aspect feel seen as well as encouraging a mindset to support their development and that this doesn't have to hold you back in life but don't worry this won't hold you back I really want to delve into this episode's representation of disabilities alone when I deep dive the episode in the future but I really want to focus on what this could possibly mean for Bluey as a character and provide the things we see within this episode as well as others to support this possibility of this being a new representation of NE diversity in the show but before we get into the parent in dayc carees of the video don't forget to like com subscribe you have no idea how much helps me out to get these videos out to more fans like you and let's leap right into surprise before going into other episodes I want to talk about the specific things said about the make believe children as well as this message of what it's like to have children in the beginning of the episode Bluey asked Chile what is having children like and she isn't really able to give a full answer it's a bit hard to expl L however as the episode progresses Bandit is essentially being that answer to the audience every time he interacts with the tennis ball children he is seen encouraging them even when life is literally throwing curve balls at his face constantly like blue we here the Bandit juggles all of it while giving each child what they need which of course is the rock of eyes for the babies and support towards the one riding the bike that's it mate ped and this all comes to flourish once Bandit trips over on M bucket and Chile finally gives her answer to BL stop how I wonder you BL that's what having kids is like directly after the scene we have a participant in the wheelchair race getting up off the ground as the announcer says a line that alludes to Bandit's parenting mindset this won't stop him that he has later in the episode this won't hold you back where we finally get to the last tennis ball baby which was just born where Bingo says he needs to go to the hospital oh really is he okay no his head doesn't fit on his body properly see what's really special about the scene is that Bandit offers to fix the baby but Bingo outright refuses you want me to get a smaller stubby cooler no I've always taken the scene as a way to show that even if a baby is born differently they don't need to be fixed and instead supported for the aspects that makes them who they are WIS but of course this is later cemented with the amazing speech bandit has at the end but for now Bandit takes the baby to the hospital and decides to look at the situation in an encouraging Way by focusing on the special hospital bed oh look you've got your very own bed how good's that seeing the baby go to the hospital combined with the special bed felt like this was meant to represent how those born with disabilities are sometimes put in a niku which is a special bed that nurses babies that need intensive care out the wound back to health this bed is also used for babies that are premature Indy wanted to play early baby like her sister in real life and studies find that babies born premature have higher chances of being born with disabilities including near developmental ones like ADHD and autism during this Hospital trip Bandit says a few words to the baby saying there's something going on with them it's just you got something going on with your head the last time to show refers to someone's condition as there's something going on was with Jack which is a character within a show that is meant to represent those with near Dev elal conditions there's something going on with me but as the music swells Bandit continues to give this emotional speech and well it can speak for itself you got something going on with your head and your body it's basically your head and your body but don't worry this won't hold you back you know why you've got a whole bunch of brothers and sisters who've got your back and your M and I are behind you all the way cuz we're a family and you mean the world to us at the end blue seems to have a chord that struck with her and jumps out looking to support the baby saying that she's her sister and that she'll look after him I'm fukan sister I'll look after him you take the others to daycare this is usually where the Divide on who this is meant to represent occurs because Bluey appears like this is important for her but she also steps in as specifically the sister so it's possible that this tennis ball is meant to represent Bluey herself or her sister being go once again it's so openly vague that I feel like both answers could be correct depending on how you look at it but the important part is that the episode encourages this amazing supportive mindset sh Bandit with Bluey inhering this idea that no matter what type of challenges life throws at you you don't need to be fixed and that this won't hold you back in life now at this point I want to showcase some previous moments in the series that some individuals in the community believe to have been signed towards Bluey and bingo being near Divergent in some way even before this episode aired I will admit that when presenting conditions and representations within the show I usually spend a very long time analyzing everything my background on Mental Health stuff helps to make this faster but I haven't dedicated a huge amount of time towards this thought process for Bluey and bingo until this episode aired so everything I say going forward will be a working Theory so perhaps I can revisit this topic for each character individually with more finesse in the future but let's start with BL BL has had a couple moments here and there that shows that she seems to be sensitive during certain stimuli in the episode movies the entire plot give or take is about blue becoming comfortable enough to view the movie Loud and how everyone else was able to do it easily I think I am different I'm the only one of my friends who doesn't watch movies I wish I wasn't different well I'm not going to be different anymore I'm ready for movies just like everyone else having a sensitivity the stimuli is very common for individuals with near developmental conditions and it takes quite literally almost till the end of the episode I can't do it I'm not ready for her to fully adapt to the happenings around her it could also be a means to show that she doesn't fully feel comfortable with sudden new environments or situations which is also reflective in the episode Creek maybe we should head back she is practically anxious and unsure of the entire Adventure into this new area and once again it takes her the entire episode for her to become adapted to everything around her unlike the other children around her in the episode The Sign there was a moment when everything was about to conclude and they're about to move and near the end you can see her wearing headphones and it's possible this was used to help her manage her emotions she was feeling at the moment which is common within people with you know narrative and mental conditions another aspect within her character that might allude to all this is in the episode hideand-seek where she is constantly being distracted oh tenis B and has a hard time focusing on one particular task can you believe I got distracted and forgot we were playing hide and seek yes but a really big one certain individuals have benched to me that in the episode unicor when she is having trouble going to bed blou not again come on back to bed and although it was very tiring for the parents Bandit mentions in a very hush tone you know she can't help it I know and it even happened told that her singing in multiple episodes and noises are possibly stemming behaviors it doesn't even need to make sense just noises are fine Bor Bor Bor Bor what's Difficult about all of this is that you can also say that these are derivative of just how children are but it feels harder to disregard these aspects we see the children do after that whole speech Bandit gives and the fact that everyone on the spectrum is unique and vastly different from one another so it's hard to say that yes this is correct and know this is false I for one am someone who was late diagnosed with autism when I was 25 so I don't want to come off as projecting especially when talking about a topic that is more personal for me than others even though I had no problems discussing with my Jack video but that video came out before I had my diagnosis but essentially what I'm trying to say is that I could see these possibly being evidenced towards this topic since I experienced these behaviors Bluey has especially the singing one since I have an automatic stem that makes me hum really fast can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King whenever I pet an animal some romance music I know that's really weird but I guess I just wanted to show that I can relate moving on to bingo a really fun aspect within the episode dance mode is her not really communicating easily regarding her emotions with the family uh well it's just pretty pleased okay yes which eventually leads to the car scene where everyone works towards fig ing out her thought process you want to tell us what's the matter honey while she mostly uses her body to give answers and choosing to use non-verbal communication no when presented the opportunity to finally voice herself with the yes or no button is it because people keep taking things from you without asking yes with this also being reflected in the episode hairdresser where she had problems finding her voice you say it combined with the aspect that she has also written in a way way to show that she is more sensitive with her emotions oh Bingo for both characters we also see them going to The Glass House Primary School AKA Calypso school with Bingo only being shown to go there during her Flash Forward moment and daddy drop off but this type of schooling which is called Steiner Waldorf is believed to be developmentally beneficial for those with near developmental conditions so you can also make a case for that for both children I do want to reinstate that a lot of the time the characters are written slown with characteristics that align with behaviors or aspects that a lot of people of any Walk of Life can pick up on and ultimately helps you put yourself in a character shoes so I don't really see a problem with the idea that certain individuals could see Bluey or Bingo also being a representation of themselves and I think this all goes back to how the creators prefer a bague writing style I have an entire video discussing the significance of this writing style but to pull a small snippet from it I feel like that the way a lot of the characters SL themes are presented are usually in a way to help people see themselves in the characters and helps different experiences and behaviors be displayed in a positive light whichever it could be the entire episode surprise messages of supporting and encouraging those with disabilities is really impactful and seems to have really touched pretty much everyone I've seen online was some form of disability including myself and I can't wait to fully tackle this episode in its entirety with a possible deep dive in the future so don't forget to hit subscribe so you don't miss that or any new video that I post at this point I just want to showcase the amazing fan art that was sent to me by the ever talented artist in the community all their socials will be on the bottom left so you can check them out with the first one being from dreamy Pond now every time I showcase their art I always mention how much I love their art style because of their rounded edges so I'm not going to go through that and say that again but look at how cute these working guys are you can see my OC on the top left as well as a couple different OC's in the community tell me if you recognize them down below I love seeing characters kind of be put in a form of like kind of like a pelet I guess but it's not quite that obviously but it's very cute and I loved it a lot and this next one is by guts fer I think that's how you pronounce it but um basically their art style is absolutely fenomenal it kind of gives me big anime Vibes and I like that a lot and I love the way they draw their fur it's just so magnificent looking and it kind of gives me Arcanine Vibes if anybody's a Pokémon fan hopefully that makes sense but once again this art style is really something else I love the way that they chose to use the lighting by it being a traditional Shadow and them having this cool neon effect below it it's just very very cool looking and this next one is by the Discord user Sandy with me giving a bombastic side eye with Jack in the background there I've explained it before but I'm a big fan of like side eye looks and drawing and stuff so they drew that for me and I really appreciate it and I even have it as a Discord emoji on my Discord and this final one is by wowi wowi always does a phenomenal job by making cool little unique art pieces and this one is with Jack and Rusty singing a song and it's actually a reference to this really stupid meme I made where Jackson was singing The Jackson 5 I want you back but as always I love their unique style that they bring into every art piece with this one having a cool chalk like/ neon theme thank you to all the artists who sent me their art piece it always makes me smile whenever I get a notification on my phone and it's just you buddies making something really special for me it just
