Prime Cuts is the most difficult achievement in Team Fortress 2. to get it you have to give all nine classes in a single round using the uniquely terrible sniper the classic so in a quest to prove I'm still an elite player after my eight year TF2 Hiatus I made the horrible decision to buy a classic of my own and get the achievement What followed was pain oh my God stupidity and suffering so boys let's get into it I hopped on my first match of payload and whipped out the classic or as I like to call mine a classical all right baby we're in our first game there aren't any Bots and most importantly we have El Clasico I was full of optimism and ready to knock Prime Cuts out of the park how hard could it really be to give nine classes with a sniper so the game started and I figured out how why is it not charging laughs no I think there's something funny about this gun that I don't know about charging shots is done manually by holding down the fire key oh yeah that's that's gonna complicate things now that I actually knew how to use the classic I charged it up and boom heads are dead baby I am one ninth of the way there and the game is already halfway done let's keep going boys not having an ads to charge the classic was really helpful with situational awareness but as you could imagine the spies were still a problem oh love dying a spy let's go what the [ __ ] that spies got drip because the classic wasn't your typical sniper I do adjust my strategy charging shots without having ads is great but the 10 damage reduction on body shot and the 100 charge requirement for headshot makes it pretty much a useless to shoot anything other than a fully charged shot so my greatest Ally in getting this achievement would be positioning I think the best thing I can do is to look down as long of angles as possible or like this hallway right here there's like no room to strafe in there I would literally bet my entire CS go inventory that some idiots just gonna run through there what did I say absolutely oh monkey also I'm about to get another headshot right here it's just that it's that easy I spent the rest of my first game trying out a few different angles and also realized that enemy snipers would be a bit of a problem medicine enemy sniper is gonna be easy to kill but I guarantee that at some point later on I'll be on the verge of killing a class I need just to be domed by one another headshot is teleporter why why why few minutes later my whole team was wiped and the first game was over but this challenge was far from completion the next few days of grinding contain new knowledge and strategies with a dash of pain and suffering they too started where I continued playing payload and was placed in one of the most sweaty lobbies I've ever seen I didn't get a single kill and after my team was decimated in less than three minutes it was time to find a new lobby but tf2's matchmaking system had other plans it decided to put me in the same Lobby over and over and over and over and over again for the entire second day the following games went about the exact same as the first there was no Auto balancing and it was pure misery I was destroyed by demos demo Knights Uber demos pyros ubered pyros and of course bots in one game I did manage to kill three classes which was pretty good and I found that playing defense basically guarantees you a kill at the start of the game I was also able to verify my assumption that killing enemy snipers would be easy peasy but they'd also be a complete pain in my ass to deal with for the rest of the match after a few hours one of my games ended in a whiplash inducing 4 minutes and 30 seconds yep I'm done with payload today instead I switched to control point which somehow ended up being worse having the entire enemy team jammed into one tiny location sounds like a recipe for success but unfortunately TF2 devs design maps with greedy snipers like me in mind and there were almost no angles onto the control Point even if I managed to single someone out the enemy snipers were glad to ruin my day awesome yeah baby I love sniper dude I'm playing a sniper too I can't complain what the [ __ ] I also completely overlooked the fact that rounds of control Point were significantly shorter than those of payload and in a challenge where longer rounds would only serve to help me blank control Point made literally no sense and fortunately it only took a few precious hours of my life to realize that on day three I hopped back over to payload and started to make some decent progress I joined a match that was halfway through but managed to kill a pyro Scout engineer and sniper making for the first game where I killed four different classes I also experienced one of the most terrifying things that could ever happen to a sniper we have oh oh I see you the more I see them a man but despite my relatively successful match my team was once again completely obliterated and I was starting to doubt that I could ever get Prime Cuts at the rate I was going it was gonna take me at least another three weeks to get and I started to accept the fact that my time away from TF2 had taken its toll on me I reluctantly waited for the next round to start where unbeknownst to me the momentum was about to shift this game started different than the ones before more specifically I wasn't vaporized by a soldier within the first 10 seconds and though I'd only made a tiny amount of progress in my previous game it turns out that I was actually getting pretty good walk right into my Crosshair all right medic this is a Godly angle here oh that's it wait what's like I call the soldier oh what what you doing little Angie what you doing Angie oh my God that's a demo dude kill me I don't care I'm having a grand old time I don't know sniper heavy heavy I got him that's five I'm almost halfway done baby I'm over halfway done babe let's get a spot a sniper Pirates catch Scouts by sniper he could let her head out boy oh [ __ ] oh my God all right hey patience patience holy [ __ ] pyro I got him holy crap Lois um we're going well guys Slow Down slow down no no no we're going too quick stop the card please stop the court boys stop the card stop moving please bye oh [ __ ] I got him I only need a scout and a sniper holy [ __ ] Brian Scouts I don't think they have a sniper no more oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] sniper oh I got him I just need to get a scout there he is stop brushing the card it's so close oh my god there he is [Music] oh wait wait no that's not funny that's not fun where is it where's the achievement where's the achievement over the next five minutes I went through all seven stages of grief and tried to figure out what the problem was one two three four five six seven eight nine did I get a heavy did I not get a a pyro I don't understand I don't understand what didn't I get I oh oh no [Music] oh was that it oh what Jamie pull up the replay medic Soldier engineer crystal clear heavy demo Hiro okay spy plus this guy who's this sniper let's go that that's a scout that's a scout medic Soldier engineer three heavy pyro demo the next three spy sniper Scout why didn't I get the achievement how do you get Prime Cuts in TF2 while using the classic El Clasico give all nine classes during a single round I obviously use the classic I got all nine kills and it was in a single round so and give it oh no what's a tf2 give various body bits and pieces of a player's body that are left behind when the player is killed in a specific manner or explosive nature what the classic Gibbs when the finishing blows damage is greater two or equal than the oh no it was at this point that my time away from TF2 had finally caught up to me I was outdated on the terminology and for the duration of the challenge was under the impression that Gibb was tf2's Ward for kill every single kill I got was a Gib except for one are you kidding me it was the sniper see he doesn't blow up uh yeah now I see why they call it the hardest TF2 achievement I'd already spent days trying to get Prime Cuts and at this point I could either choose to give up to fail a challenge and admit that I'm bad at the game or try one last time and prove myself wrong so I hopped into one last match of payload to finally try and get Prime Cuts alright boys this is it because I do not want to do this anymore oh my God this heavy stuck in his animation look at that demo oh he is ready for killing charge it up baby come on yes demo all right holy [ __ ] my team is hauling that's what happened last time when I should have won so I'm not gonna complain oh sniper easy oh my God I'm just so good honestly I I think I have a shot at this all right boys move forward oh [ __ ] I got a pyro no joke I actually got a shot this game just four more why does the medic have a shield I'm gonna try and get him still they don't oh they don't know I'm here they don't know I'm here [ __ ] come on you just need to stop moving hey let's go oh [Music] um Scout couch oh my God all right I I am actually so close I am so close yeah I gotta stay calm and collected my team needs to chill out with this cart oh we got a bot pushed in the cart oh my I swear to God if that's how I lose if I lose because a bot pushes the cart to the end oh I need a soldier I just need a spy that that is a heavy oh what have I got myself into oh no no damn it come on baby we're running out of time I saw eight people oh they were spied they have a spy okay I don't care that he killed me I just need to know he existed we are back in we are in this still we are still in this okay oh that's not good oh we are pushing this way too far I got a sniper that's cool where is the spy oh come on I just need to kill him there's less than three minutes left I need this oh my God I saw him [Music] [Applause] oh my God oh it's so good does getting Prime Cuts really prove that I'm a top tier player no not really but I sure feel like it and mark my words I will never use the classic again
