But weather outside across the area today a little bit of haze temperatures are warm and it is on the muggy side too. We've got dew points in the upper 60s now, pretty comparable with where we were at this exact same time yesterday, so we'll see our temperatures climbing into the 80s. Again, we want to give you an update on pollen readings 'cause tree pollen is now high Cedars back up to 172 parts. Elm is at 70, so keep that in mind. We've also got mold that's at moderate levels today. Sky cover, plenty of clouds. We're seeing some breaks back. Well off to the West, but. Cloud cover will likely hold for a good duration of the afternoon. Doesn't really matter though, 'cause we've got winds out of the South that are propelling our temperatures way up into the low 80s. These clouds are bringing with it a few isolated showers and sprinkles, but nothing widespread. The big talker is going to be the changes that unfold over the next 24 hours as a cold front. A strong cold front off to our northwest has been moving ahead of schedule and faster to the South and dropping colder air in the North Texas 24 in Amarillo, 77, Austin and Houston, but that cold front. She's headed in our direction, and here's how it looks locally on the models as we head into this afternoon. Still warm, still humid winds are out of the South, but overnight tonight there's that front just after midnight, we'll likely see our highs in most locations 70 in Pearland, but 55 at Conroe. That front slowly. In fact, they may even stall across the area, keeping cold air to the north of it and mild along the immediate coastline through Wednesday morning and by Wednesday afternoon, according to this model. We're in the mid 50s. And then once the sun goes down, cooler air surges in and we could see a few spotty areas well to the north, dip into the mid to upper 30s by Thursday morning. So big changes after high temps yesterday and today in the 80s, about 20 degrees cooler, tomorrow 50s on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and overnight lows. Could be flirting with some freezing temperatures now. Here's a look at moisture in terms of rainfall. We're going to squeeze out some isolated showers ahead of that front, and as that front drops its way South. It'll act to lift a lot of that moisture and create more showers. Notice the pinks off to the north and West? That could be some sleet pelts well out of our area and nothing to worry about. So for this afternoon 80 degrees by 5 PM 76 maybe a spotty shower by 7 in your 7 day forecast. After today we're not going to see 80s for quite sometime. By the weekend. We do get rid of the shower chances, but we stay chilly through early next week with highs only around 60. Comes Sunday and Monday Sherman.
