Aransul, the Wandering wind, you that arise on the vast plains of Rohan, tell us about the young nation of the Horse-lords. Thunder of hooves, an earthquake, as when they ran first through your homeland so many centuries ago. Why did they come? Why did they advance from the North, those, who we in Gondor know as the Rohirrim? Five hundred years before the coronation of king Elessar, our land was invaded by fierce hordes of Balchoth. Battle after battle was lost. It was then, when the ruling steward of Gondor Cirion placed his hope to the North - to the legendary Eorlingas. Six volunteers departed on a perilous mission, to plea for alliegance to our cause. They ventured far and without peace, to the ancestral realm of the Rohirrim - Eotheod. However, the road was guarded. Knights fell, one after the other, until only one was left - Borondir, although utterly starved and drained, he made his way upon the border of Eotheod. Baldor? Hold on, Baldor. Where are you, Riders? Where? Aransul, Southern wind, Breath of Sulimo, my guide. You have helped me along my journey, bearing me forward. Grant me one last request: carry forward my voice! Carry it far, far as the ears of the Horse-lords. And if they are not but a legend, speak to their hearts. It had to be⦠the last one. And the strongest one. Maukurzat! I am Borondir, son of Emeldir. I come from Minas Tirith. You do not belong here, warrior. Nor that strong blast we heard. We are looking for the man who blew the horn. Your search is over. And so is mine. What brings you here? I come in peace, but with a word of war. I have a message for your chieftain. Gondor calls for aid. Afterwards, the Riders headed South and in the Battle of the Celebrant Field they crushed the Balchoth army. For this glorious deed, Cirion gifted them the province of Calenardhon, which was from then on known as Rohan.
Wow pretty impressive production values for a fan film
This isn't a fan film it's Peter Jackson trying to pull a sneaky on us
Great choreography. Fight seemed a bit slow but pretty darn good overall.
I can see why they switched to a system of tower signals. Way more reliable.
High-quality drone footage has really become a game changer for camera work. Not just the really gorgeous sweeping shots, like the cliff work there, but also just simple stuff like crane shots (which don't necessarily need a crane, now). I hope the pilot/camera person on this got a lot of appreciation.
I'm sure all the HEMA fans appreciate the half-swording and the mordhau. Everybody loves a mordhau.
Best Actor for the horse. I am very disappointed that we do not get closure for the horse. I thought for sure he would kill it, then I was like yay, he's gonna save it and then... we forgot? Maybe he gets a ride back with one of the protoRohirrim there.
Nice effort. Well produced. Solid costuming, okay action and music.
On the downside, the horse was the best actor in the whole thing, and the narrator was rather bad.
Wait, before I watch this... Is it SFW?
For all you fans of lord of rings and this movie there a city called Gondor for real in Ethiopia place was built in medieval times so come and visit some rly cool shit
I would definitely pay to watch this really impressive for a fan made .
