Hello guys! Good day to all of you. Since I have a lot of chilies today, we will cook a delicious chili garlic oil. I will teach you the procedure, and I will provide you some tips on how we can sell this for our business. Of course, watch until the end because we have a list of costing so that, we know how much will be our capital, how much we can sell it, and how much is our possible earning. And if this is your type of videos, stay tuned and we will start already. Tipid Tips Atbp Chili Garlic Oil Ingredients for Chili Garlic Oil We will use ½ kilogram of chili (Cayenne pepper). I already washed these. ¼ kilogram of garlic ¼ kilogram of onion 4 tablespoons of vinegar Any vinegar will do. ½ cup of light brown sugar ¼ cup of oyster sauce 1 tablespoon of ground pepper You can also use black pepper. And you can use whole or ground (pepper). ⅛ cup of atsuete (annatto) This one is optional. You can put it or not. But I want it to look more red in color that is why I will include it. And of course, we will be using 800 mL of vegetable oil. Any oil will do. We will be using containers (jars). I already washed these. The size of these is 100 mL. I bought these for 16 pesos. We will also use this for sealing. I chose the transparent one so that it will look nice. This costs 65 pesos per 100 pieces. Which means that it costs .65 centavos per piece. But you can buy these in small quantities. We will use a hot air blower, so that we can seal our plastic. But for those who don't have this, don't worry. Watch this until the end because I will teach you how to seal even if you don't have a hot air blower. So now, let us start making our chili garlic oil. Before we start, we will boil our jars. In this procedure, we will boil these to sterilize our jars. In this way, we can prolong the shelf life of our chili garlic oil. There, the bottles can fit. Good thing they fit. Let's now put water. The amount of water should submerge our jars. This is already okay. Let's put the lid on. Boil for at least 1 hour so that we are sure that the germs are eliminated. Let's get back on this later. Now, while we are sterilizing the bottle/ jars, these chili, onion and garlic, will now be peeled and remove its stems. Now, we have peeled the onions and garlic, and we have also removed the stem of the chilis, we will now refine these. I will use this food processor. You can also use a blender, or manually refine this using a knife. We can now combine these. We will do it all at the same time. We have already processed our chillis. We will now cook this one so that it is simultaneous with the sterilization of our bottle/jars. The first thing that we will do is to boil our atsuete (annatto) in the oil. Put the oil on. And the atsuete (annatto) as well. Let that boil for a short while until the atsuete (annatto) produce color. Now it is already boiling and the atsuete (annatto) produced its color already. Let us now turn off the fire. The next thing that we will do is to prepare a container and a strainer because we will strain it. Since the bottles/jars have been boiling for an hour, we will now remove it from the fire, before we cook the chili garlic oil. Let us now remove the bottles/jars from the water. And I also prepared a clean cloth. We will place it here until it is dry. We will just air dry it. Okay, now, we have removed the bottles/jars, we will now start cooking our chili garlic oil. Let us first place our chili so that it will now splatter on us. And let us also put in our strained oil. The process of cooking the chili oil, is for it to boil properly so that it will not spoil immediately. The secret of this is that the chili should be boiled properly. Of course, aside from that, the container should be very neat. The oil is already boiling. We will now lower the fire. And we will be setting a timer for an hour. Let's get back on this later after an hour. Okay, I just want to add, there is background noise. I turned on the exhaust fan because when we are cooking this chili garlic oil, the odor is kind of irritable for the nose, and it causes an itch in the throat. Okay, in four minutes, our chili garlic oil is ready. Occasionally stir it so that it will not burn on the bottom. Because it will be wasted if it burns. Now, an hour is over. We will now add in the remaining ingredients. Put in the vinegar, the ground pepper, light brown sugar, and the oyster sauce. Stir it until it is boiling Okay, now the chili garlic oil is boiling. We will cook that again for 30 minutes. We will set a timer. Let us now start the timer. It still has to cook in low heat. We will stir it because the bottom might burn. Okay, 30 minutes is over and we will first turn off the timer. One more tip here, to know if the chili garlic oil is already cooked, you will notice that there are no more bubbles on top. If there are still bubbles on top, it is still undercooked. Now we can see that it is just the oil, therefore, it is already cooked. Let us just wait for the chili garlic oil to cool down. Okay, the chili garlic oil has cool down already. We will transfer it in a measuring pitcher so we can determine how many mL we have made. So when we calculate, we will not have a hard time. We exactly made 1,500 mL of chili garlic oil. The chili garlic oil has already cooled down. All our materials are already prepared here. I will enumerate it for you. We will be using a funnel so that, when we transfer it here in our bottle/jar, it will not make a mess. And this is- we will use this here because if the chili garlic oil will clog, so we can unclog it. We need a pair of gloves. All the materials that we will use here, has to be very clean so that the chili garlic oil can prolong its shelf life. If you can remember earlier, we measured this, we measured 1,500 mL. These containers are exact for the 1,500 mL of chili garlic oil. We have here 9 small bottles/jars. The size of this is 100 mL. I also have these plastic containers here. We will put 200 mL in here. I included these because for example, you are having a hard time looking for this, you can just place them here. And there are also different sizes of these. But we will only use these. These are already sterilized earlier. That is why, everything here that we will use, is clean. So now, we will start putting in these jars. Let us start with this 100 mL (bottle/jar). If you are placing it in, stir it first so that, the amount will be equal, with oil and chili. For those who like spiciness, you will surely like this. Okay, now, we are done with one (jar). I will put it on everything first. We now finished putting it in every container. And we will now put on some lid. Now we have finished placing the lid on. We will now remove our gloves because now we have - we have prepared the chili garlic oil properly. And we will now put on some sticker. To those who are asking about our labels, on how to do it, you can go to a computer shop to make you one. The design of our label is simple, but if you are creative, you can make it more pretty, or if you are going to a computer shop for them to make you one. We are putting a label so that our product looks more presentable. It should include your name, just like this. Tipid Tips Atbp. Homemade Chili Garlic And you will add a contact number so that if someone wants to order from you, or wants to resell your product, they can contact you immediately. It will be better if you will include an expiration date. Let us just put labels on all of these. The chili garlic oil is ready. We already placed a sticker. And the next thing that we will do is to plastic seal. The first method that I will show you is by using a hot air blower. We will spare one of each of these because I will show on these later how we can seal these, if you have no hot air blower. Let's start with this. We have sealed one, and we will also use the blower on these. After a few seconds, we now have a good chili garlic oil. There. Okay, now we are done. The next thing that we will do, I will show you one way on how we can seal these if we don't have a hot air blower. Let me also add, for those who are asking where I bought this hot air blower, I bought this online, in Lazada. And this is the brand. I bought this for about 800 (pesos). The water should really be boiling. And of course, you will need a clip so that we will not be scalded when we pour water in here. Sorry, we forgot. We placed the sticker right away. So if you are to do this method, you have to seal this first before you put on the sticker. Now, let us start. We will just zoom this in, so you can see it properly. And one more tip here, it will be easier if you will use a kettle for this so that, you will just pour it. Okay, now we are finished with one (jar). The technique here, so that you will not have a hard time, when you pour the hot water, (the jar) needs to be angled. Because if it is not angled, the plastic will move and be removed. You will then be wasting one plastic seal. Now we have sealed both (jars) with the use of hot water only. Now we are done with the chili garlic oil. And this is the small one we made. And this is the 200 mL. And now we will do the costing for us to know how much is our capital here, how much we can sell it, and how much is our possible earning from this. But before I start, I am again reminding you, this costing is for our location since we have different locations and different prices for the ingredients. I am just giving you an idea on how to make a costing for the product. So now let us start. ½ kilogram of chili, 30 pesos. ¼ garlic, 20 pesos. ¼ onion, 17 pesos. 800 mL of vegetable oil, 72 pesos. ⅛ cup of atsuete (annatto), 3 pesos. ¼ cup of oyster sauce, 10 pesos. 4 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 pesos ½ cup of light brown sugar, 6 pesos. 1 tablespoon of white ground pepper, 5 pesos. So the total capital for the ingredients is 165 pesos. Now, let us add the gas and electricity consumed, this is for the boiling of the bottles/jar, and for cooking in low heat of the chili garlic oil, and for sealing, let us just price it at 50 pesos. Let us also add 40 pesos for the labor. Therefore, the total capital is 255 pesos. If you can remember earlier, when we measured the chili garlic oil, we measured 1,500 mL. The 255-peso capital, divide it by 15 (pieces) of 100 mL. Therefore, the result is our capital is 17 pesos per 100 mL. Let us first calculate these small bottles/jars. The size of this is 100 mL, and our capital for that is 17 pesos. Let us also add in the price of our bottle/jar, 16 pesos. And let us add 2 pesos for the sticker and plastic seal. Therefore, the total capital for this is 35 pesos. Since we now know that our capital for this is 35 pesos, this one, you can sell this for 60-80 pesos. But, let me repeat, it depends in your location. But what is important is that we know that our capital for this is 35 pesos. Setting the price for this will still depend on you. But in our location here, I will set this to be 70 pesos. We made 9 of this product so we will earn 630 pesos. Now we will compute for this big (jar). And the size of this is 200 mL. Since our capital per 100 mL is 17 pesos, we multiply it by 2 since this is 200 mL. So our capital for this is 34 pesos. Let us add the price of the container. This one is cheaper because it is made from plastic. The capital for this is 5 pesos. Let us also add 2 pesos for the sticker and the plastic seal. Therefore, our total capital for this is 41 pesos only. This one, you can sell this for 90 to 110 pesos. But, let me repeat. That depends on our location. The important thing is, we know how much our capital for this is. But in our location here, I will sell this for 100 pesos here in our area. We made 3 of these thus, we will earn 300 pesos. Now let us add our earning from these amounting to 630 pesos, and 300 pesos. Therefore, our total earnings will be 930 pesos. Let us subtract our capital which is 255 pesos. And let us also subtract our capital for the bottles/jars, the stickers, and for the plastic sealer we made. Let us price it at 162 pesos. Our capital for these larger jars is 21 pesos only for everything, including the sticker and the plastic sealer. Therefore, we will earn 492 pesos. That is for the half kilo only. This one you can sell it instantly. Just have a good strategy. Offer it to people you know, post it on Facebook, offer it to your co-workers. If you are already selling in front of you house, you can now display these. These 9 small jars we made, and 3 larger ones, you can sell these immediately because as you can see, the chili garlic oil looks presentable. Even though the capital is just small, these still look pretty and this really tastes good. You will not have a hard time selling these. If you sell this every day, and you are able to finish half a kilo, where we earn 492 pesos from that, multiply it by 30 days, we can possibly earn 14,760 pesos in a month. When one person buys this product, and they are satisfied with the taste, they will be the one who will spread the word that in that store, there is a delicious chili garlic oil. If for example, you are consistent in selling these, you are already popular in your area, in one or two months, if you are really going to pursue selling these, you will surely sell more than half a kilo. The 14,760 you will surely earn more that that, as long as you will take good care of your products. Just like what I said earlier, you can offer this at the stores, you can look for resellers, and of course, you will give them a fair price so they can earn as well. The important thing is we know our capital. For our containers, you have seen the difference of this glass bottle/jar, from this plastic bottle/jar. It will be up to you on what you will use. With this, you only have a small capital, 5 pesos only. This, on the other hand, is 16 pesos. It's more expensive. But it looks more presentable. But just judge it for yourselves, on what container you will use. I just showed you the difference of these two. For those who are asking about the shelf life of this chili garlic oil, this will be okay for up to 3 months. Just always remember to have a very clean process of making these to prolong the shelf life of these, since we are not adding any preservatives in our dishes.
