Hollow Knight But It's Only The Hitboxes

hello welcome back to another Hollow Knight mod uh this one is basically all visuals have been removed except for the hitboxes themselves so basically I have to judge everything all of my gameplay just off of the hitboxes there is wall collisions as well those count as hitboxes but it's basically just lines and like the attacks will only appear once the Collision is there I don't know it sounds like an interesting challenge so I wanted to try it out yes this is what you love to see our protagonists yellow rectangle [Music] my attack weirdly shaped blue polygon oh no red red rectangles Oda believe it or not this is how speedrunners actually see the game so you're just seeing how I see the game now this is how it normally looks to me I don't know what that purple is oh God this fights red spikes see this is like perfectly fine to me I know exactly what's happening Oh I thought the blue was the big door never mind I don't know what the blue is oh it just got really dark so chat you're probably wondering uh am I just gonna have to look at this like gray the whole entire stream the answer is no I have prepared for this you see there's a there's a nice thing about um a consistent color in the background is that you can just replace the background where's Elder bug what I don't even know where Elder Elder bug isn't doesn't exist but yeah we have a series of images that I can go through um you know this is a pretty good one I think so yeah the NPCs you just can't see them because they don't matter I guess it's not it the text is actually there but it's chroma keyed out you can see a Geo there so it's fine we don't need to talk to anyone can I get a cycle oh my they just appeared immediately I mean that makes sense but I wasn't ready oh God these actually like grow do you see that those actually do grow screw you blue rectangle all blue rectangles percent ah here chat I got a good idea for the next one here let's go silk song is out silk song is here let's go yeah you're just a red rectangle everyone is this is a pink rectangle how original whoa that hitbox oh they stretch look they actually like squish this is some beautiful architecture here you're gonna see this a lot they really went all out with the visuals and silk Sun oh they were they were combined I didn't even notice big giant red rectangle oh I didn't hit you enough ow oh my God that's just a series of of small rectangles the shock waves oh God I want to see the shock wave again look at that if it went far enough you could probably like land in between the rectangle I don't know why it doesn't show the hitbox for the head like some stuff is just kind of missing that's grass right there oh no that's gross the grass is missing you can't see the grass that's the chest what the hell is happening it just turned into a Nintendo switch yeah that's that's a pretty big oversight that you can't see the grass just want to say what is that the door it's blue rectangle see you can see the the text the text is here uh I can't see the fireball though where is it got it consume the ventral spirit although I wasn't prepared for this section but I have a I have an idea it's Baldur's Gate on stream right now it's solo rest screen balder even the Ballers are squares they're literally circles hi tech deck all right here's the father that was mentioned in the background I don't know if it's okay this bits are a lot smaller that's a ball bear oh I have to talk to you right why can't I some things are just missing the fence is missing the bench is missing I just have to like know it's there so much interesting geometry in this game look out for the rectangles this is like a very simple Graphics indie game Hollow Knight with way less budget there's so much purple I think it's like respawn points is that true it is okay oh yeah we're in Green Path now so we can uh we can switch the image that works I can't see the birds the birds aren't here how am I supposed to I feel like the boss fights are gonna be the hard part so it isn't real chat only red rectangle morphs as it roars foreign look it's grubby look how cute grubby is so adorable yeah I'm Gonna Save grandma green rectangle is so cute and then they just disappear all right Chad I didn't prepare a uh an image for the Hornet fight so I was thinking we could just make our own image so first I have to try and uh make the arena itself right yeah we got this so I'm gonna like dress up the arena here we go no need to like add some grass in right you got some grass very important part of this fight got some like hanging Vines there we go what happened to the background I don't even know Hornet just wait I'm I'm building the arena from scratch now we have to draw a hornet I think that's that's very hornet-like probably but like the needle got the string okay perfect drawing and then the Knight is over here nailed the head shape all right it's ready let's go there's the shaw Circle circle is a very rare shape to see doesn't it feel so real the images it's so it's so uh immersive let's go wait I should stand over here where's the emik where's the thing found it take in the mouthwing cloak there we go all right we're arriving at the entrance to uh to this place let's go whoa the amount of circles they like bounce too do you see that the processing power required to produce this many circles is very uh very high why didn't they make this a circle why isn't that a circle these guys are circular they can shoot a billion circles but they can't be circles themselves that's illegal oh look at the little squares oh god oh I'm gonna die they gained like five hitboxes when they do that at 10. look what is it what are all these boxes there we go all right I think I think we can say we're firmly in the Mushroom Kingdom now whoa what the hell circles actually looks kind of cool wow they produce so many circles oh and that's an actual enemy that's a circle oh wait ah oh God I can't see them why I can't see them until they blow up wait are you telling me this acid pool is a scam and there's only Collision on this one little spot immersion ruined oh my God I don't I can't see the explosives they're just gone shade hitbox reveal they're just a smaller rectangle than me there's no way I get this skit but I'm gonna try ah whoa what the hell is that what's on your head oh why is custom picture for this one yeah the graphics are pretty crazy in the New Hollow Knight oh yeah what's happening something weird going on uh red rectangle all right I have to do shade skip in hitbox swim hmm weird I got like a cold sense when I walked through there gotta shiver down my spine oh yeah check out this hitbox this has one of the craziest hitboxes ever it traps you in this like huge rectangle get domed oh I picked that up right what is this I guess that's just an invisible wall oh everyone said a hollow Knight's Graphics were so good but like they seem a little uh a little basic oops Coral's still here I can still hear his voice yeah that kind of looks more like Radiance I just looked up moth and it was the first month I think the radiance is watching me yeah I just have RTX on it's just the normal game what is it you have a little hat I guess that's his head you're so rectangular this is why you're annoying to hit sometimes oh uh I got some good all right for over here I think the attack on these guys it's just this a rectangle just pokes out jeez what are what are these hit boxes they look so weird ah triangle oh this doesn't have anything either all right I got a know despite being literal circles yet again they have rectangular hip boxes honestly this isn't that bad I've I've done so many mods that like it's way worse to fight these guys seeing the hitboxes know shoot your Doritos back at you your spicy Doritos got him what aren't these like a circle like a perfect circle what the hell is that it even changes when it flips are you kidding me that looks awful oh God oh God the lasers I don't know where they're pointing you can just jump over this one wait I never knew that you can just jump over this one yep that looks good wait wait wait wait wait wait there's that's how big the Crystal Dash hitboxes why is that so big wait is this why you get hit when you're sea dashing because you're sticking out of the bottom you're sticking out of the bottom that's such a scam my Collision is not protected fully look at these guys spikes it's so uneven I think I can like hug the wall next to it as it doesn't yeah hey bud how you doing oh God I don't know what you're doing what is that are your lasers not visible what is that is that the laser oh my God you can't see the laser it just has like this weird oh what is hitting me it's the lasers they don't have collisions that's not fair okay I'll Canyon I have this look at the jellyfish they're not even attached properly oh also yeah Circle I Circle how you doing oh God circles oh God that's the bubble no you can't see some things you just can't see this is not just hitbox mod this is hitbox mod but some things are invisible god dude I don't know where this where I am right now screw you squares okay hold on I do have one for the for the umu fight ah rectangle within a circle oh the circles what's the rectangle oh the rectangle is the exposed part but you can't hit it before that the circles are chasing no that's slightly got my corner let's go we got it okay we finally beat ooh now we won't be fined screw you blue rectangles I'm attacking you out of spite what do you mean easier qga we're doing normal qga yeah all I gotta do is make mine up my rectangle like that and you can tell immediately that I'm never mind I have so much space here like come on there we go let's go qga all right here here's my brilliant image that I found right now I looked up white tree and this is one of the things nice double get blue rectangles idiot oh wait it's getting dark chat it's getting dark G it sure is dark it actually doesn't matter I mean I have Lantern but even if I didn't I have the full Collision that I can see so it's like completely fine oh no there's another Among Us run crewmate head is chasing me hey you're pretty sus the game crashed Among Us crash my game anyways I also have this image that I had nowhere to put I didn't know where to put this one so I'll just have it on for now oh you can I just found a silly standing spot you can go to hold on didn't know you could stand here all right chat just a warning uh I have a very scary image for this part so you know I know this might spook sunny I know it's pretty scary we'll we'll get through this quickly though so we can not be scooped anymore red rectangle is pretty scary this is like big red rectangle the final boss it's like I'm actually hitting the spider in the background oh I have another image I can use for this brief moment this one all right chat it's finally time for the black egg Temple we're finally here oh wow it's actually just a black egg [Applause] wait where's the bench it doesn't matter I don't need the bench all right the final boss who's it gonna be wait where are the chains all right here we go the final boss is oh no oh it's so can teleport oh my God zooke's such a hard fight what is this like pointing out box it looks so dumb that's not what this character looks like what is that what are those collisions you're just like scribbling and calling it The Collision this is why you get hit in this fight sometimes look at that that's not what that looks like these collisions don't even make sense the Knight is literally two rectangles and one is like protruding so far in front of itself that extends like past its face why does it disappear sometimes it like it appears it disappears at random what is that oh my God oh no stop stabbing yourself no not the rectangle sound this is so sad they're melting into the ground oh seeing the hitboxes of that definitely has made it hasn't made it any easier for me to dodge it I still suck oh my God we got this we can beat so oh God I bumped into them let's go we did it Hollow Knight with hitboxes only it's done [Music] excuse me where is your Collider excuse me ma'am why do you not have a Collider that's actually illegal oh there you are yeah this is this is doable this is this is fair well those are very modeled look at those spikes they modeled each individual piece it's insane we're giving I'm so dead phase two though I feel like those are gonna hit me while they're sitting on the ground oh my God I don't know I don't think I can do this
