guys the latest and greatest and always Legacy content with Hogwarts Legacy officially being out for over five weeks as time goes on more and more cut content revelios itself specifically the removed companion system and if there was any doubt about this the games files confirm as much of course content is a normal part of game development every game Cuts content over the course of development especially since this game's development started back five years ago but how do we know according to comicbook.com evidence of a scrapped companion system can be seen during Quest where there is literal companion dialogue for various characters this can be seen in such quests as ghost of our love and well well well how robust or massive this companion system was going to be they admit they don't know but characters like Natty Poppy and Seb have multiple lines of dialogue in some of these quests suggesting Not only was it fairly complex but pretty far into development far enough to have recorded the lines with The Talented voice actors which to me makes sense based on the state of play introducing the companions feature just a year ago and on our Channel we've been breaking down the change after the introduction of Amit the car the long-awaited Ravenclaw companion but not really a companion calling him and other three classmates at the time of amidst reveal all of which pointed to Avalanche software removing the feature in Hogwarts Lacy now at the moment of comicbook.com publishing Avalanche software and WB Games have not commented on any of the speculation this discovery has created in other words we have no clue why this was cut from the game but our guess is it could be a lack of resources or it just didn't meet a certain quality standard for the game as these are usually the only two reasons content is cut from a game during development that being said I hope this feature and its initial functionality is brought back in a future sequel which a sequel is definitely happening because back in February it was reported that Hogwarts Legacy has sold 12 million units in just two weeks four days faster than Elder ring the 2022 Game of the Year well August Legacy has dethroned Eldon ring again after five weeks passing the lifetime or one year sales of Elder ring at least in the UK okay a massive achievement not to be understated due to eldering being the second best-selling game of 2022 overall August Legacy passing that in just five weeks and on half of the platforms is scheduled to release and in 2023 is astounding don't forget the PS4 and Xbox One releases have been delayed to may but I think it's going to be a massive boost in sales on the Nintendo switch specifically releasing in July since the switch has more than three times people owning it than a PS5 August Legacy will more likely be the top grossing game of 2023 especially since all the unreleased top games are console exclusives games like Legends of Zelda tears of the for Hogwarts Lacy included many positive changes to the game including lip syncing characters getting stuck on objects and more one other change that was made with this patch was not even in the patch notes itself but confirmed by Chandler wood Hogwarts Legacy Community manager saying and I quote just confirmed an additional feature in this patch that didn't make it into the patch notes reduced the frequency of Ignacio wild Smith's lines a significant reduction by the way so while travel is definitely more convenient with flu powder you won't have to hear about it consistently in quote ignacia was Miss for those of you guys unaware is the flu powder lady an amazing quality of life feature that myself and other fans of Hogwarts Legacy have enjoyed for a week or so the sheer amount of dialogue though from Indonesia was so annoying that it was a popular mod on PC that being said this and other quality of life features alongside bug fixes can be found again on the link below and if you're still having a ton of issues or bugs in your game we have another link below where you can report it to Avalanche software and WB I myself still have the bug that prevents the use of the unforgivable curses in the dark arts battle arena which makes it impossible to beat especially playing on hard so please even if you see it's a well-known or regularly reported bug still send in a report the more a single bug is reported the more it becomes a priority usually what wasn't usual was Hogwarts Lacy Gathering a huge player base on this steam platform reaching almost 900 000 concurrent players at its peak August Legacy even entered the top 10 Steam games a list with multiplayer games that usually dominate said listing however this player base has quickly died out since its launch and the game has currently lost nearly 90 percent of its daily steam concurrent players as of when I'm recording and this isn't just steam it's everywhere on all platforms the number of content creators and streamers streaming the game that I pay attention to is at an all-time low which is honestly to be expected for a single player game like Hogwarts Lacey that doesn't really have that big of a replay value that being said the game is far from inactive a hundred thousand players may not be huge for a multiplayer game but it's great for a single player game like Hogwarts Legacy because they are rarely able to retain this many players according to Tech for gamers article again Elder ring who we mentioned earlier saw and had a similar Trend so that being said August Legacy is likely to see another surge in player counts once it releases on the switch and the old gen consoles going forward which will gain sales and a new audience joining those of us who are living the unwritten until then players like myself who are fans of this game not people who are following Trends will continue to keep this game active like my shiny hunting series I've started shiny shiny
