witnessed all the ages of man in a momentary twinkle are the whispers of eternity [Music] the oldest story ever told is written in the stars [Music] long ago before man had mapped the skies he watched in awe and wonder in expectation for something was about to happen those who observe the dance of the king maker jupiter to the humble witness the greatest of sights as the king of planets aligned with the king of stars regulus a triple conjunction of such accuracy could only but ignite the skies and curiously there it lingered long enough to be seen by all and to be followed three times it passed the star announcing to all creation a new king born not just any king nor even a great king [Music] but the king of kings long ago all saw his star but few discerned its meaning [Music] oh my a wondrous sight quick balthazar come and see wash your hands before you touch it i'll wash you in i'm just saying it's the finest telescope in the whole of persia it did not come cheap yeah what exactly am i looking at the star can you see it yes of course i can see a star i'm looking through a telescope at the sky at night not just any star as the firmament subtle motion dictates and judging by my calculations jupiter has aligned in conjunction with regulus to form a light so bright i'm certain it's the oh too much sulfur of mercury elixir of life anyone it's the king star not all this again and a king means a quest oh here we go a clear sign that a king is to be born in the east we three should go and meet the new king and pay homage so what if it is a king what are we meant to do about it don't they already have a king or as that herod fella snuffed it not that kind of king the star signifies the king of all people and the beginning of a new world of peace and harmony and if we go now we can be there at the birth a new king maybe someone should let the old king know no he mustn't not yet it's too risky okay melchio this all sounds very exciting [Music] but i'm a scholar i will be the messiah and he'll rule over everything i'm not really sure of the details but there are three men in the east that might know more word is they're analyzing the star to work out the location of the birthplace of this messiah as we speak i suggest you talk to them i can't go i'm not saying you should go to to find them in the east your majesty surely you could send some men for you forgotten we're on a quest i'll uh give you a minute look all we need to do is find the star we find the star and it leads us to the king no all we have to do is get home alive forget about the king oh but he's no ordinary king can you help us listen closely i know who you are there's not much time the one you seek is in great danger so are you you must go back yes but how follow the star actors right sit down [Music] let's run it i'll be the narrator he was the king of kings born in a stable in bethlehem to save humanity from sin and reunite heaven and earth a birth that serves as a reference point in time and space that we have celebrated every year since at the birth there were three wise men who traveled from the east as they followed a star to help them find the holy infant and bestow upon him symbolic gifts that foretold his destiny that sucks isn't it the three wise men yes that's right so what would happen if uh the wise men say lost track of the star and then never actually ended up in bethlehem well nothing actually to be honest they're really quite peripheral to the main action of the plot though there is one thing in some traditions of the story they helped thwart the efforts of the evil king of that time from getting hold of the infant and killing him which really would have been a disaster for all humanity nasty piece of work that king a fellow called herod yes well done so you do know a bit of the story thank goodness so it's quite important that we find this stable in bethlehem before king herod finds out where to look yes good point time is we are following a star as a matter of fact but you can't see the sky in this age so we're looking for the um greenwick observatory that's going to be a bit difficult now greenwich observatory i know it you do excellent can you take us there sure if you can share some of your gold frankincense or myrrh we don't have any gold frankincense or mer what kind of wise men are you you can't visit the baby jesus without that can you excuse me everyone knows that's what the three wise men gave jesus when they met him make a note balthazar we'll need all three madam i can't tell you how important this is we must meet and honor the holy infant and throw king herod off the scent or else if he catches him nothing in this world will ever come to any good you're having me on aren't you i know it must seem that way but what i say is true you really believe what you're saying we're in your city by mistake we traveled here through time to evade king herod but now we must get back to our time and the way here just for me a pathetic woman lost on the streets of london who everyone walks by without ever noticing maybe well wouldn't that be a christmas miracle my dear if this baby is who i think don't [Music] [Music] herod let them go but for how long would their trickery be undetected they didn't have much time ever onwards ever pressing ahead ever following the bright path of the star [Music] yet danger lurked in the shadows they tried with all their might to obstruct every attack and scheme no time to stop no time to tire through dark storm and tempest blast ever onwards ever pressing ahead they wondered if this page of history would be turned in blood they prayed as he would not but this was heaven's story and god himself was making the way and so at last our three sages arrived to the place that had been foretold to the place marked by the star to bethlehem [Music] what am i doing [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] what's jesus ever done for me i used to pray to him sometimes [Applause] [Music] excuse me i'm sorry for waking you would you like some water [Applause] [Music] thank you me and a couple friends are having a drink oh no [Applause] is is [Music] know [Music] just that simple thought of if you just make a decision to believe and today i just want to just encourage you you might be watching this and you don't know jesus that jesus that's uh portrayed in in today's presentation the the christmas is all a date that's set aside in a calendar and a christian calendar to to actually acknowledge celebrate there's a whole lot of words i could use that this this time where as the bible teaches us where god took on human form and came into the world that we live in and when we look at jesus this baby he grew up to become who we know as jesus and he did he revealed to us he revealed to us the nature of god he revealed to us the love of god he revealed to us in his interactions with people god's heart towards humanity and then most of us would would know or maybe you've heard that the jesus's death comes to what many would say is a as an end what we know as his death on a cross and the bible also tells us and it's not just the bible who tells us but history tells us that um that he rose from the dead and he didn't just rise from the dead he ascended into heaven now there's a concept in itself it's not just that he ascended into heaven it's also that he from there the holy spirit was sent the holy spirit who is the holy spirit it's it's that aspect of god that is everywhere all at once not just everywhere all at once but the holy spirit's what takes everything that everything that we know in whom god is revealed to us in jesus our father who is in heaven not just who god is revealed to us but also everything that jesus accomplished for us victory over the things that control our lives victory over the over the the internal struggles and dilemmas that we find ourselves as human beings jesus his death on the cross and his resurrection represents to us the power of god to help us as human beings sort all of those sorts of things so he sends the holy spirit to bring everything that god is everything that jesus accomplished into our very own life so he just didn't send the holy spirit the concept of the holy spirit is he brought all of that into our lives how does it come into our lives we make a decision to believe and i want to encourage you today no matter what's gonna take that step take that step and say i'm gonna today i'm going to believe this is not just a concept this is not a religious theory this is actually a truth it literally what happens is god begins inside of you this what the bible talks about is this transformational process bit by bit little bit by little bit god starts to put us together on the inside he starts to reform us he starts to heal us he starts to make us whole he puts purpose and hope in our hearts and slowly but surely god starts to mold and shape the who we are into believe it or not into his likeness and what is his likeness look like jesus and when you look at jesus who wouldn't want to be like him and so the easy what's next is we're just gonna pray a prayer and um it could be as simple as what i just said which sounds dismissive but it's not dismissive it's so simplistic that a lot of people miss it and it's just an authentic heart a genuine desire to say jesus today i want to believe and i really believe that you're going to encounter him today i really believe it's not just going to be a one-off encounter but it's going to be something that you'll look back on and say this was a truly transformational moment in my life so wherever you are however you're watching this with whether you are with friends with your family maybe you're watching on a device in some form or situation by yourself somehow someone said you should watch this but right now you're listening to me and i really want to believe that you're going to encounter the reality of this living god who is personal so come on i just want you to pray a simple prayer that goes like this just say jesus i just make a decision in my heart to believe i ask you to come into my life i actually surrender my life to you and i thank you i thank you for everything that brings first and foremost it brings me into a place of absolute forgiveness before you and i ask you to take control and to begin to work yourself in my life i thank you that you gave your life for me i thank you that you revealed yourself to me in jesus name a man fantastic
