The improvised lines from the kid were better than the adults. Impressive.
i heard his parents had recently had a dog put down or something along those lines. so there was some pretty fresh emotional pain for him to draw on. absolutely incredible performance.
He just turns it on like a water faucet. His parents must have been skeptical of every tear.
Powerful for a kid his age who just got a line of whats happening to portray it in this way.
My acting coach showed this video a couple of years ago to show us how inadequate we all were at conveying emotion. I've never been more jealous of a child.

That smile after "Okay, kid. You got the job" was great. He just knew he was perfect.
I met this guy at a bar one time. Nice guy!
One thing I noticed this time (after so many re-posts) is how good the off-camera actor is. Really sharp. And he helps coax this performance out of this kid.
