Helping neighbors isn't always easy, I don't know how to fix this right

we're just gonna have them dumping down here because i can't i'm not having one across driveway you want me to spread it oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so welcome back to outdoors with the morgans it's hard to believe it's the middle of december right now another beautiful sunny day but sooner or later the snow is going to start flying so i just started this video melissa i did a five minute uh little dolly for the plow for the sidekick great idea this thing is uh it's heavy it is and it mounts into a front receiver and it's a little cumbersome a little awkward trying to get it hooked up wow these are just your basic uh harbor freight dollies couple two by fours and i'm not i was going to connect this one with that but i don't want to do that because what i'll do i can just pick this up and slide it right into place because this rolls around it rolls around real nice and if it rolls around out here on this concrete yeah it'll roll around uh really well inside but i'm slowly cleaning out the wood shed down there to actually put wood in the wood shed good idea that's where this was stored i got a bunch of stuff in there but i'm slowly getting that cleaned up but uh yeah eventually it's gonna start snowing i know but you know what it's a sunshiny day today and i'm happy about that tell them where you just wear i dropped um archie and piper off at the groomers and ruger's devastated yeah rude is looking out the window like oh no he doesn't like going but he doesn't like when the other dogs he doesn't need to go as often because his hair is totally different those two they're hairy hairy so um yeah groomer she loves to see them coming but yeah when you pick them up couple hours yeah yeah she texts me well yeah well that's very um wow that's look at you you could have entered like the kids fourth grade invention that is about a fourth grade project right there yeah it's five minutes a couple dozen screws and some two by fours but it'll work yeah sometime i'll have to tell them about eva's fourth grade invention in fourth grade the kids had to come up with an invention eva's was that um the bath mat with the fan oh yeah which one had the footed blanket that one was levi yeah which which wasn't a bad idea the bottom of the blanket had like a pocket in it he had sewn right he sewed on this uh nice cushy soft i mean not cushy soft material to the bottom of his blanket and when he would get into the bed he could stick his sticks his feet in there and then you know what no kidding after that because levi's what 27 now um after that i saw there was a real invention right somebody yeah yeah the pocket blanket or something like that i always go to sleep with one leg outside the blanket i do like to do that too i'm very claustrophobic so i don't want things tight or tucked or yeah all right melissa demonstrating how about that you want this out no not now we get closer to snow good [Music] i had a dream my darkest day [Music] like a balloon under on my darkest day i just can't get over the day especially for the middle of december i'm down here at the wood yard i just moved a couple full baskets out of the way put a couple empties there for uh levi to fill up and i just put the land plane on the tractor because my mom called the other day she wants a load of stone for a driveway and i ordered it and i think it's going to be there this afternoon so i'll be ready to go if it shows up and then i just cleaned up this little spot down here i mentioned the other day in a video that uh i ordered a log splitter for the kx57 and so what my plan here is i got a couple big five by 12 pallets i'll lay them out over in here i'll cut up all the big rounds the big stuff set them over on the pallets until i get that log splitter i'll just stack them all up and then once we get it grab them swing them over here break them down to a manageable size and then i can finish them off with the wool fridge this stuff right here by the way that is uh limestone sand i had a couple tons of that left from when i put those uh crete heat panels in the new building that's what i used to uh level that stuff up looks like sand kind of is sand but it's actually limestone sand but anyway i'm going to top off the tractor with fuel grab a couple things and probably head down to my mom's place i think he's going to be here within a half hour so that was perfect timing that never happens i just got up to the house and the driver called said he'll be down there in about 15-20 minutes so i'm gonna head down to my mom's place right now and uh get ready for him all right i'm down here with my mom's and yeah our driveway's getting pretty sloppy down here at the end we'll probably end up dumping this stone we're gonna have to kind of dump it over in here got this power line right here i don't know we'll figure it out i know last time we did we dumped it right there i think i think what i'll do before he gets here i'll pull some of this loose stuff here kind of drag it out over top of here try to uh scarf fire up those uh potholes a little bit yeah better hurry up [Music] uh so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] what have you been up to i don't have a triaxial outcome you have one coming yeah he's on his way now yeah we gotta replace that pipe we've been wanting to blacktop this driveway for the last 40 freaking years yeah well i told him there's a driveway corner yeah we can pull it back in we're just gonna have them [Music] yeah i'll get this uh out of the way oh okay we're just gonna have them dumping down here because i can't i'm not having one across the driveway do you want me to spread it oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so my all right i got my mom's driveway all straightened up i'll show you that in a little bit now i'm headed over the neighbors here they actually got a load of 2a limestone as well today now some of this stone is going to be used to uh backfill a new culvert pipe probably not till spring uh we'll go over that in a minute i want to hurry up and get this spread before it gets dark and i'll show you what the problem is here with this big culvert and they want me to get my price to do it and uh i got to take a look at this there's a lot of things i don't like about this they got that uh they got one joint of pipe right here looks like a four footer but this has been a uh they've had a lot of problems here over the years whenever we get heavy rains this thing is like a raging river through here and number one i don't think a 20-foot joint is going to be long enough i don't know that's why they've got this uh gabian stone these gabian baskets right here i think should be quite a big job here but uh once we get this stone spread we'll get out and take a look at this all i'm gonna do is put maybe five or six buckets out here and fill in these uh potholes and just grate this one little section up here came out of the mud [Music] so [Music] so [Applause] [Music] all right i just put a thin layer of stone on here kind of keep them out of the mud we didn't want to waste too much because this is all going to get dug out of here now they asked me if i wanted to give them a price they'd like me to do this job and to give them a price but a couple things i don't like about this right now definitely the wrong time of year to do this uh we do not have too many more days like this weather could turn at any minute the other thing is there's three houses up here one up that way and two up there so we'd have to coordinate you know getting people in and out uh i don't know and this whole thing has washed out a couple times before in the past like i said it is like a river i mean a raging river when we get flooding comes down through here i'll have to think about it if they want to wait till spring early summer next year uh you know i have the skid loader the svl track loader as well between that and the excavator i could knock it out but i do think would need more pipe i'm not sure and one thing i'm confused i've got the gabian wall on the outlet side i think they just did that to make it wider because really that should be on the inlet side like a nice head wall right here so a lot of things to think about here but uh i'll consider it i also get nervous about working in streams generally speaking from my oil and gas days i mean you stay far far away from streams there but i would definitely get with the township and all that i know a culvert replacement is not a real big deal but uh i have to get with them on that but yeah so came down here to fix my mom's driveway and may have ended up with a big job out of it we'll have to see we'll see all right we're back over here on my mom's driveway looks much much better this stuff will pack down really nice yet really good and tight i won't have to worry about plowing or anything like that it'll be hard in no time at all although this is where a roller would be nice i want to talk about something before i wrap this video up uh we get a lot of messages every day you know facebook messages bunch of emails lots of comments on the videos and usually once a day sometimes twice we'll get a question from someone trying to decide what type of tractor they should buy you know what brand how many horsepower what attachments i think they need and i used to have more time where i would sit down in the evening and try to answer some of those questions and honestly if i kept doing that i wouldn't be able to do anything else there's so many of them so i apologize for not getting back to people i would recommend though we've got a ton of videos you know well over a thousand videos and probably at least a third of them if not more are tractor related so maybe you can find your answers go back through some old videos but you can kind of see just by watching our channel what i can do with the tractor this size what i can do with the bx and everybody has different needs different properties so i really don't like telling someone what tractor to buy you know what i mean i would suggest just watch our videos and other people's videos and say hey you know what i do that type of work or i need to do that type of work that would work for me i think that would be your best bet like i said i apologize for not being able to get back to everyone it's just uh it gets overwhelming at times and i don't like that feeling i feel like people think i'm ignoring them or something but there's just not enough hours in the day and i apologize uh but i think that's about it uh yeah i'm gonna wrap this video up i'm gonna think about that big culvert here tonight and try to come up with an answer on that whether i'm interested in doing that or not i'm just
