information now let's get heating all right here we have this residential covered patio structure and let's go ahead and look at the dimensions that I have so I have a diens of 18t by 18t and also I have a dimension of the overhead beams here at um 9 fo6 off the finished floor now there's some other information that I have here and this is the information that they had requested they requested a uh desired area to heat and that area is roughly um 16 by 12 so I just placed this 16 x 12 here centered in the um patio that I built the uh true 18 by 18 is possibly not um accurate but in any case um this is the type of space they want to heat up here so that's what we're going to concentrate on all right so the I'm going to go ahead and turn that off um we have sliding doors here we have a door that swings out into the resident itself or out into the patio itself and then we have seating I have like a dining seating over here and then reclining over here and possibly some reclining seating over here and um the other thing I do have this beam coming cross down the bottom edge here I have it in from that 18 in at 12 in in and um it's on both sides here by the way um let's go ahead and look at a couple of different options and the first option would probably be something that they're looking for like the um 16x 12T area coverage and so what I have here is two of the uh slim line 4,000 watt units we do need to make sure that we are meeting clearances to this doorway here here for this um application and um let's go ahead and look at the clearances here below so below you can see there not an issue with regards to the dimensions I have which is this 18t 17 here to the edge um but if it's closer you know that might be an issue with regards to this so it' have to be at least 18 in from the edge of this doorway here and I think that's about it let's go ahead and look at the um footprint of heat and just to mention too um the slim line has brackets that are adjustable so they they can slide left to right and um there's just this little Groove here that there's a nut that goes in here and then that a bolt will go into this bracket here holds onto the nut and you can slide this back and forth so that you can align your um brackets here with what it is that you are looking to um mount it to so you can see this one here is not mounted at that point yet but we could just move that over slightly and keep the unit in the center of the patio itself all right let's go ahead and look at that footprint of heat so footprint of heat is going to be roughly uh 10 by 12 maybe 11 by 10 I should say more like 11 by 10t this direction um 11t this direction so this would be the closest I can get with regards to the um desired area that they're looking for um you can see that we're not hitting that full 12 uh foot uh area but we're covering most of it pretty well also um you know having the two units together let's go ahead and look at the distances I have apart from each other so you can see that Center to Center I have these at 8T Center to Center and again and that's um centered within the patio structure itself from this point here to this point here um and um we want to make sure again that we have that clearance area over here so um let's see if there's anything else you know and if you know if this area here was truly you know placed over here to the right let's say then you know we're going to be very it's going to be hard to get that um area over here covered however this is a doorway you're not going to be sitting over here so that shouldn't be a big issue um it's more you know something of this nature here or this chair here but uh let's go ahead and turn that off you know I'm just going to mention this as well now this is infrared lightweight Wes you're not going to see the infrar light waves infr light waves are invisible to the human eye but um you will see the heater itself and let's go ahead and look at the other option another option would be just to you know on the cooler days and you could just move the table and chairs over something of that nature to get inside that Ray so let's see if there's anything else here I think that's pretty much about it for the um just heating up that one Central space that we are talking about let's go ahead and look at a different option the different option would be to heat up the whole entire space utilizing for the 4,000 watt slim lines going parallel with the uh above beams over here and making sure that we have 18 in of clearance to this edge here I again the height of this uh beam that I have here um let's mark that off real quick here and you can see I have that at 8 in so the heater itself should be at 9 and I think an qu inch down from the bottom of there with the OEM brackets but this would heat up the entire space just fine um over here again you can see the clearances below um not an issue with the 36in door opening here and um this would heat up the whole entire space just well personally if this was my location I would probably look at even though adding two more units U might seem uh a little uh High for right now now but uh down the road utilizing this whole entire space differently for different uh functions I would go with this you know running if you know if you were going to say hey let's uh look down the road and maybe we'll put two more in running that electric all from you know your main panel all the way to the patio again would be um kind of an expensive thing to do twice so um this would be my preferred recommendation and let's see if I have I do not have this but let's go ahead and look at the distance apart from each other I think it's like 9 and 1 half feet let's see here 9 ft 9 ft Center to Center so um that would be great and I think that's about it all right well I hope this has helped and if you're looking for some assistance with your outdoor heating application and you would like us to review your
