HATCH - An Intruder Is Secretly Living In Your House In This Japanese Horror Game

hey everyone this is manly badass zero and welcome to hatch a japanese horror game where a mysterious hatch appears in room and you suddenly find yourself with an intruder in the house read diary i'll check the router again and the power's about to go out day one i will find a hatch in my room day two part of the house is out of power and there's no internet connection and why is it night all time wait why would it be night all the time there's some strange people outside my house it's dangerous out there telephone card i can still use it hmm oh there's a slot for a telephone card why is this hatch take a telephone card god it's like selling hell don't make sense so this claims to be a stealth horror game find a flashlight um i am flashlight could be in the changing room like i said at the start i do believe this is a japanese horror game although i don't think it's necessarily japanese themed or anything like that at least at first appearances anyway those empties your doors we like inch them open you got a light switch no i guess we just gotta go find that flashlight and i can hide in the garbage can with my soul so this is the most fitting game in the world for me it's a really weird stair layout well there's a flashlight um there's a locker in here too so based on the fact they said that it's permanently night outside and there's people outside i'm assuming this is a surreal situation pretty turn on off the flashlight okay i have no reflection that's cool though i don't need one what are you looking wait what find a can opener god i'm a little upset all these trash cans i mean the implications of what's going to go down the fact there's a sheer huge amount of them really implies that something is going to come from my butt to the point where i need to like hide anywhere work you got a can opener canned foods in the kitchen open a canned food use item okay yeah you open that can um empty can wait oh yakitori answer the intercom um hello yes package delivery i'm coming you look unusually depressed for a package delivery person more so than usual hello wait hey oh god did you get inside god amazon's getting too good like my soul hey hey wait hey you wait where'd you come from i didn't lock her yes what [Music] repair the router was that a scripted like kill oh no no trash can god it's like hilarious it's good this is like this is a janky game but at the same time i think it's kind of intimidating it's like an interesting jank back to your room i don't know where they are after me get back in my room no yeah they look relatively normal before the jump scare i can't ever get stairs very fast oh god okay no no we're good we're good don't you make that stupid noise i don't give any openings i'm gonna go for it no no no don't you hear me don't you hear me oh my god that's how close she was the only reason this spot is worked out is because it's around a hard corner so the ai gets cut off that's literally the only reason i'm gonna opened the hatch day five today a strange woman came to my house and chased me she might come into my room i'll take a picture of the hatch just in case how do i i guess there's a camera around here from certain areas to get work done by going inside and outside the house which is not going to be easy so now you're going up to the library because you think oh my objective's at the library uh uh-uh we're gonna go for the carrot because the carrot i think is actually harder to get than the live the credit card because the credit card at least you can like chip at it go back in chip out go back in it's very tedious do a little bit of work leave because you guys start heading towards that way if i'm understanding how you work if i touch the objective you move to the objective yeah see so now the question is did you go back to the carrots because if you did that gives me a lot of time to work on this loop around go back out work on the carrots and so on now you're coming here because i'm working on this see i got your ai down now your patrol route is up top which means i can go out work on the carrots and then after a while leave that come back inside grab the credit card or just tap it at least i still hear you opening doors [Music] got the carrot now we got pull out yeah you're coming yep i knew it that's why i'm gonna try to hide out up top because i could go and tap the credit card then get you to get away from the kitchen you drank carrot juice back to your room i did i was able to rush to it the lights won't work seriously and you don't see anything strange in the house hmm except for you maybe a little stinky that what's my objective could find any clues i'm going to clean my house for a change stop trying to clean your house run the washing machine clean the go to this area first you loop around and then you're probably gonna go back to the lower back area this seems to be your pattern yeah ladder now while we're getting a little bit of an opening let's get out of here lose vision of you here that was rough um it's me it's evil me or is it me me i don't know anymore anarchy where's this game go i think this game is based off of uh was it us very anakin field i don't think it's literally based off of it but i the whole like thing a little bit weird the body there buried shovels that way [Music] all right do we on a key you really you're going normal it's locked locked there's no lock on it just open it bye [Music] oh man why can't i go in person weird i don't even know who you are supposed to be at least everyone else has some kind of representative let's go inside step out the gate i'm not sure if i could go in the hatch or not because every time i did like the brother would like come and kill me there's a box here move inside the box what what's the point of all this oh yeah we were the evil one it's been a long time you don't look so good [Applause] this is a comedy [Music] i guess one must be like a dad one must be like a sister and one must be a mom [Music] i'm sorry anarchy i should go bye what [Music] hatch [Music] that was certainly a game i think it was inspired by us so that's it for hatch i believe that's the only ending because if you say like let's go down the hatch the the one of the anarchy one of the things that kills you instantly almost like you have no chance to go down it so i understand why i said i think this is a kind of almost comedic real version of i'm thinking the movie's called us where there's weird doppelgangers and they're they're replacing your family or something like that aside from that i don't think i can really comment on the story because the story is it's very janky surreal almost to a comedic point almost purposely but at the same time it's so jagged it's kind of creepy in its own sense it's got some charm in a very weird way so it has game balancing issues as far as difficulty um the enemies are very tight on the patrols the difficulties very high as far as your timing everything you have very little time to do things it's a little tedious and the jump scare is kind of comical but it's also kind of weird i kind of like it in a very odd sense like a schlocky sense but overall i think there actually is some fairly good creepy points in this game there is some high points it's it's an it's an experience you know it's it's unique just as presentation is unique even the inherent plot is not anyway so if you don't want to play hatch i'll see you guys later and take it easy [Music] you

Ngl the game is pretty interesting, but the ending is super confusing. Like, what are the origins of these creatures? Who are we? The ending just kinda left the game feel unfinished. I feel like it's supposed to be a plot twist or somthin, but I don't even know what that plot twist is supposed to be.
