my first guess he has an ominous car nominated actor who has named star of the century I gotta find out what the star of the century by the National Association of movie theater owners his latest film clear and present danger opens today very exciting film salt last night you don't want to miss this one Harrison Ford a standing ovation you know usually usually have to be dead to get that kind of motivation it's very good and and star of the tell me about this star of the century that's that's very impressive what's that mean exactly web uses 1994 if they wait any longer they'll have to give it to Macaulay Caulker yes what does that mean exactly that means I've sold a lot of popcorn this is a National Association of theater owners there's nothing to do with being a good actor is nothing it's not like a Oscar anything this is but I mean your films have been the most successful financially to theater honest is that what it means uh I don't know I I guess so but I mean it must be it's a statistical construction it can't mean well I'm thinking all the time now they're the trilogy the Star Wars trilogy Zolder huge yeah the Indiana Jones presumed innocent my favorite my favorite haircut movie yours by the way that's why I soon had the the Shannon Falconer here that would yeah thank you but my favorite now how many of the dead heat on America rounds did they do did he just do the one with you didn't talk about well this is Mike this is my favorite Harrison Ford film you know what I'm talking about yeah I know what your target yeah how many people see him dead heat on a merry-go-round none no no this is this is his very first film and I find sometimes when an actor with such impressive credentials I find it can be humbling when when he go back to the vault and perhaps fine perhaps find that they'll find that first piece of work find that first piece of work that really embodied who you are and what you do you probably haven't seen this film in a few years huh can we show it this is scene watch him honor this is very first acting part I believe if you play the role of the bell hop if I'm not mistaken DeBell lien bellhop right none so there aren't even a tickler areas yeah here he is what about 1966 up like that I know how did you get good reviews you get nice notices on that one oh uh I was called into the office of the guy who was the head of the new talent program at Columbia after this he said sit down kid he always used to call me kitty was about 15 minutes older than I was but he always called me kid he said sit down kid I'm gonna tell you the story he said I saw the dailies of your work yesterday I I frankly think you ought to think about some other occupation really he said listen the first time Tony Curtis was ever in a movie he delivered a bag of groceries a bag of groceries you took one look at that guy and you said that's a movie star and I looked at and I said I thought you were supposed to think that that was a grocery delivery boy and he threw me out I was our home yeah yeah yes we now they probably take credit for all your success don't think oh yeah I discovered the kid yeah made him develop yeah listen I was grateful to have any job at all yeah time as you can see it's just funny good so I mean you wouldn't think I'm funny too you know so after that then you did a lot of TV right I know you did I didn't do a lot no no if you had seen it I mean I didn't do a lot I did a little I did episodic TV I did Virginians and gunsmoke's and we got a polos I got my thanks they're fun oh yeah did you get injured a lot doing those did you I mean doing the westerns the guys just get banged up pretty bad imagine Vienna well i Gunsmoke actually uh there was the first in my uh in my list of body parts where where I actually lost something he lost well I was a bad guys one bad guy and I'm shooting out the window at the sheriff in this posse and the good guy came down the stairs and I whirled around a shot at him and he shot me and I was supposed to slump against the window and crumpled to the floor and the first time I did it I separated my shoulder and so I jumped right off the floor and they didn't have dead long enough so after they're all very kind solicitous and they gave me some ice and they sent me home and then and then a couple days later they said listen we have to do it again because we don't have you dead okay so could we do it again chip shot away no and there's good guy and I shot up and he shot me and I slumped against the wall and I fell on this on the ground and my gun bounced up and knocked out all my teeth really yeah it's got all your teeth yeah are those jerky oh yeah I don't have the store-bought one what do you want no well actually the store bort i bought ones were not such a great bargain because they sent me i was under contract at the time to a studio and they sent me to their company dentist who would put in these teeth not these teeth because six months later they started to fall fall out and i went to a dentist and he said how old are you I said what do you mean he says I haven't seen this work since the nineteenth century I'm into bad you must be really I said what you know so I went back to the guy and I tried to find this guy and his partner said who now he's gone each just left yeah he's not in the dentist business okay so I had to pay for my own teeth and a you know at the rate I was going I was a big bump it knows oh yeah yeah well it's well let's take a break we'll find exactly what other body parts are missing I know you have children so that part so no miss missing missing we'll find out more target with ours and Ford here let me uh let me about the movie you're talking about being physical here the one thing I do like about all your films especially these this latest one too is all those a lot of action it's not action that could not happen but sometimes you see these movies and the stunts are so ridiculous or so you know over-the-top but uh the realism this movie is is is it's pretty incredible tell us what else was about her the movie yeah yeah it's have you seen it yet I saw it actually no no you want me to set up the clip or you want him set up the tell me about the well he tells about the movie and it's got a play the movies about I played Jack Ryan again as I did in Patriot Games the story is about an illegal war against the Colombian drug cartels being connected conducted by the president the national security adviser and the operations branch of CIA and Jack Ryan has now been elevated to the head of intelligence of CIA he finds out about this this campaign against the drug cartels and when he went it and he asks he insists that they shut it down because it's illegal and because he's a good guy and he knows what's right and when they shut it down they leave a number of soldiers down there and Ryan becomes incensed about that and goes down to Colombia and helps get him out Nathan and this is the clip where you're trying to get the helicopter right yeah they're cut off without any supplies down in Colombia the head of the of the operation is Willem Dafoe and he says give us a hand here and I said what do you need he says we need a helicopter take a look clear and present danger you this movie seems so real to me and so close to the actual things that actually happened do you ever get bought I mean there's a real CIA go or any government people got I'll wait a minute this is a little this might get people thinking this happened to that happening do you have any problems with these kind of films you mean like people show him my house I don't know with a cooperation no no no well I mean the first time we made Patriot Games and we got tremendous cooperation from CIA but this time because there's some reprehensible behavior that takes place yeah within say yeah the CIA I think they felt it best to stay well away from it but I mean but in all fairness I mean the good guy is CIA right right as well so well it just seems so out of the headlines I mean it seems so real to what we read every day it's not yeah it's it it has the kind of complication that these situations have in real life yeah yeah so now you're off to what you have the premiere tonight together yeah yeah okay well listen I thanks for coming by I know you hate dude you know why stop the pleasure thanks her thanks for having Ono it's always a pleasure to have you thank you you
