what you doing um you know just browsing the internet yeah yeah you hear that i signed up for another race i didn't hear that i can't keep track though i think i want to do worlds and i think i have one last shot one last easy shot to be able to do it this year you want to drive nine hours with me so the swim we'll start with the swim workout i swim with north bay aquatics masters this is a solid group of swimmers hey hey guys guys yesterday was awesome yeah every tuesday morning there's a set called tahoe tuesday i missed the practice on tuesday so i came on wednesday but no walking on the bottom of the pool not a lot [Music] i'm gonna take the stairs don said you can't do that [Music] just a plain white it matches my outfit [Music] the hammer's there because i don't bend my deb the hammer kept me honest she kept me honest and kept me going all right 600 400 200 100. i don't know if i can count to 600. so can you ring a bell for me yeah you owe me your cowbell and then 400 200 100 a little bit faster than a 200 100 and then 100. this is like very exciting and the 600 is negative split the 400s are negative split and progressive so that second runs faster the 200s negative split and progressive and there are three of them and then the four 100s progressive so the last one is fast [Applause] [Music] um [Music] you were out in a 339 pretty much even the first round i really just cruised i wasn't trying to go anything impressive 400. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh this is the first round the first 200. she's out in like a 112. she's trying to negative split this 223 out of 112 back in 111. the first of four or 100 this one should be kind of easy because they're only getting faster from here i'm honestly extremely embarrassed that you're filming this you're pretty much even on everything i'm just like trying to hang on and make the interval then i put on a snorkel halfway because i wanted to feel better yeah because it looks sweet [Applause] aerobic sets are mentally hard because you're always in this little hurt locker [Music] my goal once i realized that i wasn't going the times that i wanted to go was you just do the set correctly with a negative split and with a descent [Music] that was good gotta be comfortable with the hurt [Music] this is the second 200 i think she was out in around a 110 and now she's on her third 50. [Music] [Applause] 221 that's what this set was just getting comfortable with the uncomfortable even though the first half was hard the second half is going to hurt more about a 109 how are you feeling he's tired understandably you're doing great with your hands i think by by the last 100 i started to feel good right last round was a single 100 fast [Music] that was good it was hard i didn't do very well you guys the triathlon as i said yeah you look good the gutter and the stairs caused some sort of current over here yeah yeah i think my body is still just exhausted i'm just mad about my performance i think swimming is hard because there's a lot of history there i'm glad i had deb to do away body hair is normal everybody [Music] [Music] i'll switch to water okay i really wanted to do worlds and i just didn't want to be sitting around all weekend not competing [Music] we do all of our rides inside except for a long tt ride outside over the weekend which one should i do you can barely see them that the the baby yoda yeah [Music] i often times in the past have ended my rise just utterly spent dying for food so tired just want to get off the bike just dump it all out it's not as impressive doing some research and realize that i'm a sweaty salter i mean a salty don't sweater at me what are you taking with you well i'm trying to do stuff that i would have on race day i think i'm gonna have a waffle and some chews and i want to try a goo what's the difference between espresso love and cold brew coffee three hour ride today we're doing three 20-ish mile loops my workout is three by thirty uh 70.3 pace so around like 190 watts [Music] it's a perfect day for this huh [Music] so i just finished round one i hit that one about 190 which was exactly what i wanted to do got back at the car to fill up a water bottle there's some like workouts where you're trying to hit a target power and you're struggling to keep the power and this was not one of those rides let's go [Music] starting in lagunitas through the redwood trees going on these like slight little rolling hills [Music] you can either make a loop out of it by going up and over the hill i did most of mine just outs and backs on this really nice basically newly paved road i thought i was in great shape in april and i took a couple weeks off for my surgery but that doesn't mean that that fitness that i had before then was completely lost [Music] so yeah did that for three hours ah what perfect timing high five [Music] big news of today is jenna figured out how to do long rides without bonking and the key is sodium think that has bed bugs now would be a perfect time for someone to go steal our bikes new dining room table junk i'll jump start at 11 a.m out here you're not going to be happy but right now jenna's pretty happy i'll be happier once i get some tacos all right sorry i forgot to film my tacos they were so spicy i just had to keep on eating you know that i'm so crushing my car burrito [Music] how you feeling okay i really love these shorts but any shorts that aren't black once you start to sweat in them it looks like you pee don't zoom in on my garage [Music] how do you do b skip i don't know i won't put that in there don't worry [Music] i was having some hamstring tightness stemming from my tibial contusion on my left leg got all taped up by the best pt in town there it is [Music] all right what's the plan i'm gonna do some strides and then prescribed workout was four 1600s at like tempo pace so around seven minutes i was told to do two 1600s one counterclockwise and then one clockwise that i'm pushing off on on different legs each each lap and got it rolling i don't know it was exciting being on the track i haven't been on the track in so long [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] i was supposed to hold around a seven minute pace but i think i did at that threshold [Music] one minute rest it was basically just like uh a straight two mile tempo run rust interval is one minute got it i was thinking to myself like i'm only doing two i should up the intensity just a little bit nothing crazy [Music] but i felt great it felt so good it felt really good to run fast for longer than like a three minute interval which i think is the most that i've done in the last year or so uh 6 46 50 that's strong how's the hamstring feeling felt good while i was doing it now it's starting to feel a little tight i need to make sure to stretch and roll out a lot always be cautious um i'm just ready to race [Music] they're also dogs i can just stick her in my handlebar bag you
