Guyanese Roti

in Guyana we call this Roti traditional Roti dough is made with all-purpose flour baking powder a pinch of salt water and some fat like melted ghee or oil some people also call this oil Roti because it's cooked in oil or ghee or a combination of oil butter or ghee some Indo Guyanese also call these parathas but generally when Guyanese people say that we are making or eaten Roti this is what we mean I know that in India this is not Roti trust me I know and although Roti was given to us by Indian endangered laborers who came to Guyana after the abolition slavery I guess they weren't too fussy about specifying that this really is a type of ferrato somehow all flatbreads got grouped into one generic Roti name and this Roti is clapped hot off the tower to release all of the delicious flaky layers
