[Music] hey there i'm claire and i don't know how this happened this does not make any sense at all i am a virgin a virgin but i'm pregnant i stare at the pregnancy test and those two betraying little bars that seemed to mock me this could not be happening i racked my brain trying to think of any way i could have possibly gotten pregnant the pool this is the only explanation i can come up with for how i could have gotten pregnant when i never had a relationship with any guy had some disgusting pervert ejaculated in the pool and then i went swimming and the water does not have boundaries i gasped as i feel a panic attack overtake me i tried to take long steady breaths i need to calm down i need to tell someone i scroll through my phone looking at my contacts who can i tell that will not freak out into a flying fit of rage mom and dad are out of the picture sisters are a no-go likewise the brothers are a heart no i look at my unrelated friends my eyes land off on one name and i know this is it the only person who will understand and support me no matter how or why i got pregnant i sent her a quick text saying i have some important news and i will tell her on call i wait a full minute before dialing her number she picks up on the second ring i do not even give her time to greet me before i burst out with the news i'm pregnant i shout down her line there is silence for a few tell me that we need to go shopping for baby clothes and she wants to hear the entire story again this time in person i had no reason to disagree so i did not three days later we are shopping for some maternity items that can help during this first stages of pregnancy i tell her the entire story again and she is in awe the same as me she asks if i have told anyone else and seems slightly relieved when i say no this seemed kind of odd to me but i brushed it off we decided to go out for coffee after our little trip there's a local cafe that sells rich steamy coffee at a reasonable price their site is in a slightly run-down area but it's worth it to go when my friend suggested this place i was greatly excited not many of my other friends wanted to go there because they were afraid of the area i was so ready to get some of their coffee even as we parked the car my friend fiddled with her keys i thought nothing suspicious it was not until she locked the doors while we were still in the vehicle that i wondered as i turned to her to ask what she was doing she pulled out a color and stabbed me in the stomach she mumbled deliriously about how can i have a baby if it was not my baby and that was not fair i fainted there and when i opened my eyes i found myself lying on my bed i recalled what happened and i didn't dare call my friend again my name is maria and i'm 22. i love puppies absolutely adore them i also love kittens and birds and basically any other animal i tried to be a regular donor of money to the local rescue centers but lately i have been struggling with money it wasn't so bad but it was enough to make it impossible to donate anymore this was extremely upsetting to me donating to my little puppies and kitties was my favorite thing to do i never ever wanted to give that up i didn't think that i would ever have to i could only donate a dollar or a few cents and i was happy for weeks i loved to play with the puppies too the staff was happy when i came because i could tire out the little puppies for free and i always left a donation i had always considered joining the little clinic as a volunteer but after looking into the requirements of cleaning cages and feeding time i decided i would rather be an extremely welcome visitor who was loved by the staff and the puppies i could enjoy all the benefits without the grossness but now that my finances were tight this wasn't possible anymore at first i thought that it would be okay that i could get through it i would work hard to get back up with finances and then i could be happy again that was the plan until i heard that the rescue centers were going to have to have a mass euthanasia day because no one was getting adopted what they needed was an adoption fair but they couldn't afford it this was an outrage to me this was murder how dare they how dare no one else donate to this cause these animals needed people were people really just going to turn their backs on these innocent creatures creatures that depended on them i began to look for ways to make money fast i looked on the internet and worked to do the most that i can i started to sell some of my pictures on the internet they paid really well too i thought this was going to be a good way to make good money and then i could get out and help out my cute little puppies things never work out as you expect them to pretty soon i had gone in too deep they asked for private pictures i had denied them for a long time each time they would up the price that they were willing to pay i started at a few hundred dollars but quickly rose to the thousands now i was being offered 32k per picture i couldn't turn it down only a fool would i accepted i sent four pictures and then i finally was able to help my shelter i stopped selling pictures i put most of my money into savings and then donated the money to the shelter the shelter was so happy they could finally hold an adoption day so that they didn't have to euthanize any pets they also were able to spend money into updating the cages and hiring employees i was so happy that i could have been a big help but now i had a new problem i missed having the attention of those people i missed sending my recent pictures for hundreds of dollars i missed all the attention i probably shouldn't have but i got into the business again i promised that i would not use any of the money i made off of pictures for myself i used the money to save up enough to live comfortably i used the money that i got from the photos to support other charities i only had one client with the photos he paid thousands of dollars per photo i would only send one or two at a time i still found it crazy that people paid for this maybe it was crazier that i was still sending them i didn't need to do it anymore but i couldn't help it i had become addicted i had also become addicted to donating my money to charity i just loved the feeling i got like i made a difference i donated to aids for pregnant women charity shelters and animal vet clinics i didn't care what i donated to anymore as long as it was a good cause and they needed it this was now my passion and i wanted to donate and help them as much as i could although i had started out pretty broke and only in love with animals by the end of my experience i was very well off and had a completely new obsession with giving to many barn who went through all the stuff she said oh that was easy since we didn't have any help we told everyone that it was a blind barn auction so everyone bid on a box without seeing inside as we
