Goodwill Games #2 - PBG

hey everybody I'm peanutbutter gamer and I think it's about time we did another goodwill games video once upon a time you could walk into a thrift store and buy some really cool stuff like a box copy of Donkey Kong 64 or a random NES gym or anything good at all but these days anything that's actually worth something is usually sold on the internet so there's not too much to get excited about but eh who knows maybe we'll find something good and let's start with another Magic School Bus game this time Magic School Bus explores the ocean alright let's start off with the intro um either my game isn't running correctly or we have our first casualty already no not Dorothy and why couldn't it have been Arnold now we have to create our character and mine defaulted to this which is somehow even more terrifying than the one I used last time and he had his freaking brain sticking out well you can't improve on perfection so I'm just gonna leave it as is after the intro we're on the beach you can play a couple minigames one of which is a totally pointless sandcastle building game and the other involves helping Clarence crab hunt clams while avoiding being eaten by Birds he ate a grand total of 167 clams before I got bored and gave up it's alright Clarence you had a good run miss Frizzle says something about a treasure that according to her is ultra cool so we're gonna go find it and finding it apparently requires her to shrink our entire elementary school class into tiny edible little bits and throw them into the ocean what could possibly go wrong will in similar fashion to the last Magic School Bus game we played explores the ocean is all about learning and there's really not that much more to it other than um I think it's broken well I fixed it but now it looks like this don't tell me what to do I guess my computer just isn't powerful enough to run a game made in 1995 but at least it has a door so that's pretty cool but either way as much as I love the Magic School Bus this game is starting to get a bit dull do you like listening to children teach you things because if you do Magic School Bus explores the ocean is for you seriously though I'm not sure how much more of this I can take oh yeah and the treasure ends up being plants yes you heard me plants up next we have another game based off something near and dear to my childhood it's the big game Charlie Brown good grief I'm pretty sure that's not part of the title but it's in the same fire so earnest welcome welcome baseball fans please let me look who's talking Charlie Brown what was that I think it was supposed to be a disc but it didn't really make sense you got to work on that Lucy Charlie Brown is sad because no one showed up to baseball practice so we've got to round up the slackers right off the bat get it is baseball I love the graphics in this game it looks exactly like the cartoons and comics but unfortunately that's just about the only thing I enjoyed more on that later though for now let's go recruit our first player Schroeder Schroeder is annoyed by Lucy so you make her follow you tell her off once you're outside and then come back grateful for your unabashed Audrina si agrees to join the team oh wait a second maybe if you can show you're as serious about music as I am I'll change my mind huh well how hard could it be that was really great Charlie Brown thanks I know and now that I've proven my musical prowess we play a little baseball minigame slash boring pitching tutorial wasn't even close get it over the plate that wasn't even close not even close it was right over home plate don't give me your crap Schroeder I know how to baseball game we are playing baseball Charlie Brown thanks for the info and that's pretty much how the whole game goes find someone solve their problem by playing a minigame and play a baseball tutorial rinse and repeat until you've recruit the whole team it's pretty slow incredibly linear and definitely not the most enthralling game I've ever played I'm having so much fun okay so then let's see if your management skills are up in my psychological test you have to prove that you know each player regions and I'll ask you eight questions with four possible answers I fell asleep I eventually managed to get the entire team back together and just look at how excited we all are baseball you know what would make baseball more fun is if you turn the baseball into a gameboy and then you play that instead as far as the actual baseball game it's a slow and boring as the regular game possibly even more so if you want to play an actual good baseball game you can always try backyard baseball which is a personal favorite of mine all right we're gonna play some baseball having so much fun with all my friends Pablo's up to bat follows-- gonna try and hit it out of the park puddly off the team no more team soul teams over Pablo is all your fault I told you this what happened it was me never get where is Miles we're talking about championships and we're gonna have so many non endorsement deals no endorsed reveals gonna be any camp classes for the rest of our life Marty wait a sec we Artie end up last we have a mere the search for grandma's remedy then with box art like this you know it's gotta be good let me tell you a story about a little mouse oh goody a poop spiders singing to me just what I always wanted and that's actually all I've got because other than the intro video and the tutorial I couldn't get the game to work but oh well I found a slightly newer version of the game that I actually could get to work Mia Romain's new hat this game's intro well not quite as creepy as the poop spider is slightly terrifying Mia gets caught in a sudden rainstorm and is swept down towards the sewer only barely escaping death but she does lose her mother's hat which she admits she was is supposed to have taken you better not let her find out or she'll probably kill you so we have to help her not only find her way back home but also find enough sparklies for her to buy a new hat but I can already see that it's going to be difficult because she's kinda dumb Mia would you get that can please okay you did it eventually I came across this clumsy frog guy whose Jeep is broken and of course he's not gonna fix it himself so he wants me to do it for him luckily it's not all that hard and we're on our way and I've gotta say this guy should be a let's player because based on his reactions alone he's perfectly suited for it alright ok here we go know what I mean well ok wow this game consists solely of walking around and then taking quizzes or excuse me playing games Oh every now and then you find a random sparkly on the ground but other than that quizzes I mean games quizzes no all right whatever let's just keep moving along wait is that the poop spider yes too cute to be scared well she might not be scared of him but I sure AM according to the tutorial video Mia will sometimes ignore what you say and do her own thing instead and as much as I would love to yell at a tiny pixelated Mouse for not obeying my every whim I never actually noticed this happening it's active anything she seemed way too eager to do anything that I told her to do mia jump off a cliff she's died it's time for a funeral now oops I didn't mean to do that oh sure you didn't yeah I'll tell the cops the same thing if they ask me oh don't worry guys is okay she didn't mean to shortly after that my game glitched out and Mia got stuck in some dish soap and despite saving multiple times
