Golden Gate Drunken Bridge Is the Greatest Creation in Poly Bridge

welcome back everybody we're back in Pali bridge it's one of my new favorite games so we're gonna continue on in the campaigning you see this we learned a lot hills and valleys and when you look at the map you can see why because I think we have to build a bridge that is hills and valleys this is gonna be weird we got a smallish kind of tutitu car and we gotta make it from windmill and over here there's also a boat kind of looks like an ironclad to me oh and we have access to a new whoa so when you look at this you can see that this is gonna be tricky so we have to connect this somehow and we've got wood and steel but I'm wondering you know the Golden Gate Bridge now take eight shots of schnapps and that's kind of what I'm gonna try to do here so essentially what I'm doing is the Golden Gate Bridge has like two giant iron posts sticking out of it and so that's what we're doing here - it looks slanted doesn't it looks like it'll fall unless we can cable them together so that they hang supporting each other using the cables yes I don't even know if this is gonna work but we are doing it for science Oh God my budgets already a billion dollars well that's problem but in the last video what we did was we had Hans and Fritz battling for who could come up with designs and they kind of had different styles Hans was more conservative in Fritz he was more debonair all right will it hold no so it broke like where did it break I'm gonna try something maybe we just need one there and then making stronger triangles since the 90s nothing's breaking yet oh wait held no ho I spoke well hey too soon will we strengthen this area right here so speed it up all right well apparently the drunken Golden Gate Bridge strategy may not be the best all right here's the road I tried to make it less high and less low so we kind of cut some corners here so we're just gonna do tons of triangles and I think the goal is actually to build the triangles under the bridge not over it maybe that could have helped on the drunken Golden Gate that's definitely something we could go back and try again but all the good things take time like the drunken Golden Gate all right and now we can use steel look look at how much we've spent so far $30,000 now is this gonna hold i frickin don't know even though I'm the engineer here let's just for fun for fun as expected triangles trust the triangles they will never steer you wrong I don't know maybe make some stuff you know do some do some things definitely is stronger there if he can make it all the way down here without breaking guys oh it's probably gonna break here and we were drastically under budget we are so good with a hundred and ten thousands best person in the world I mean I'm just so proud of us all right this one's called suspension bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge so we may not have to build a drunken one we could build a regular one so I think the first thing we want to do is connect the roads and we just spent about 10% of our money already just on the road section to know is it was the part in Godzilla like this is the bridge in Godzilla right so I think they should make poly bridge to have Godzilla attacks excuse me your mission this time is to build a bridge that can withstand a kaiju attack now that's a game I could get into all right that looks nice this is how science works now does [Music] I know what I'm doing we need to have a won support they're building the Golden Gate Bridge and it's beautiful Oh like how many of us have grown up I mean like you know what I want to build bridges I have a buddy who became an engineer he's like I want to build bridges and it's like dude that's awesome and what do you do now that you're an engineering is like I go inside dollar trees and I like make sure that they're up to code I'm like dude that ain't no bridge building and will it hold oh my god it actually kind of holds it kind of did until it didn't now let's see if he gets all the way there it's kind of weak there so at the beginning sections it's the weakest so what if we just stabilized it with some would once again increasing the cost but if it keeps the citizens of San Francisco safe as they cross this beautiful bridge then by golly it's worth it now can't dude we did it we frickin did it I'm impressed so let's just watch that one again in this view we built a golden game and we built a drunken golden game although we didn't try the drunken golden gate like this so would it be possible we haven't we have similar amount of money I don't think so okay this one's called the split wood steel hydraulic and rope okay so we're in a relatively low budget of twenty six thousand oh I just realized why we got two places we need to get to eight goes first so we need to build a road no we don't have any limits to the roads so that's nice what if we just like built a trap door right so a goes up there well first we gotta get a up there I don't know I don't know and we can just cut that and then have it drop there so now we got a build structure we've got steel Steel's kind of expensive but in my experience it's usually worth it and then we just connect it here and then we hydraulic this peace because we only have one hydraulic right will that break that all right let's speed it up there to d2 jr. because we know you're gonna make it across this and then that just drops and so then this guy goes can we get it our first try it's very rare that I do but I mean yeah how do we do 290 first thousand this really is good for your ego okay okay sloped drawbridge huh $50,000 that's not a lot all right I think it's clear we have to build the drawbridge here and this is an anchor point so we have unlimited hydraulics that's good well first I think we always need to start with the roads and then go from there to here it's almost nice so where do we want the drawbridge to be right here in the middle we have just two drawbridge portions I kind of like the idea of just having one solid one this is one part and then this whole thing is another but in order to do that I'm gonna have to get some steel out here and we can connect a cable there but it's still gonna need at least wood and then this is this that's correct okay and so then we need the hydraulic here oh he can only connect there will that even work I don't even know if that'll work well only then way to find out I mean not really not really a way to find out will this do it ah oh okay it actually kind of is until until what did we oh look I don't know why that surprises me that that didn't work because we have a strategical failure there so he makes it all the way over here and now he gets up the cliff right and now we just need this thing to hold as it pulls itself which didn't work we're over budget the design just doesn't work delete everything execute order 66 all right this is a key spot and the connect roads here try to use as minimal steel as as possible Gerber derp now the triangles but high ones I feel like high ones are good I wonder if this will even hold but here's how we gotta get a little bit weird I've tried this before where you basically I want to call it like a caterpillar hydraulic system now one thing we should do before we do the hydraulics is test does it see that's pretty strong higher triangles seem to work better he makes it all the way there the boats come they wreck our dreams when we go back to the future not to the drawing board my friends and we put in the hydraulic II caterpillar system because we can't build fancy draw bridges we just can't all right please work strong triangles all the way through you can see where there's a little bit of pressure and this some of the kinks could be worked out but then the caterpillar bridge shows up and the river ferries drive on by and it doesn't break oh my god it doesn't break this is actually simpler than I thought it needed to be okay it's fine this is fine I'm happy you're happy now watch something something's gonna happen something else is gonna go awry when it's not an exact measurement and they got a leg outta do this weird thing cuz stupid station wagons get stuck how did we do this time look at that we broke the top twenty one thousand normally we're in the hundred Sultan sums double overpass okay we don't have a lot of money this should be pretty straightforward just clear it and then just triangles we just got to make sure we have the good triangles it sounds so funny like I wonder if anyone was over here music like recording maybe like why is he so obsessed with triangles hmm I think we have the concept right maybe if we raise it up so it's a stronger arch and we have a more curved arch is that the way that we do it will it hold oh my got it it holds oh there's an island in the middle I didn't really notice it the first time all right a strong base will that will that work well that oh no not exactly all right we're gonna use that rock this time and we're gonna lower this so it's less expensive so those smaller triangles all the way through I guess it's supposed to sack a little bit now this puts this over budget but it should be good oh and he makes it okay oh man we're talking to the aliens I've heard that there's secret alien levels when you beat this game what what does this mean man this looks like we're going and we're playing Kerbal space program right now what hydraulic and rope lift me up a be a 2 - 2 a 2-1 what exactly happens we've got five road pieces I think we've got to build a hydraulic II boy here make sure we get these right so we'll use the copy tool [Music] what if we just put it straight below it we'll try 50 percent at first so he goes and he stops here but it looks like we've set this up the wrong the wrong numbers all right guys just look to the camels for comfort I guess there's no way we have a solution for only eight thousand three hundred weight Oh almost okay he needs to raise higher I think will this work clearly not test 1184 failure what if I put a hydraulic here I think that could work Oh get the star he's like he's just like looking at it reach for the stars green car reach for the stars like he's touching it man there's like one pixel give it all that I don't think we even need to do that we could just we've been hydraulic in here what if we hydraulic too there is that's all required because if we can do this for 9000 man that'd be like so huge come on [Music] yes we could try this but hopefully the hydraulic is up for it please don't break please don't break please don't break hit that star yes now just just make it over there oh that's a little bit tall okay okay what did we learn hydraulics dude they crazy ten thousand we were way under budget dang see who's doing it for zero dollars or seven hundred seventy eight I don't believe you land brace we don't have an anchor point over here what land brace Google land brace Boston okay we built Boston there's no way we do this with only one point we can't like see wait maybe I can just do that maybe I can do that that's how we do it we could do it this way we'll have to build a ramp one two three maybe this isn't super easy can it really be this easy oh yeah triangles triangles we're over-budget though what it should work and we'll use one rope here okay and we're just barely under budget - so as long as they can make that ramp oh my god okay so that's what a lat oh there's a bowl did I really forget the fact that there's a giant boat coming okay well that won't work it's not as nearly as easy as I hoped what if I do a reverse brace I guess I could build a hydraulic okay so this thing has to lift this whole guy and I mean triangle steels because it has to hold okay does he make it yeah he does he does a flip but he makes it and this raises exactly how was he wanted to [Music] okay now it's back into position in taxicab number two see we we just had to get them across the body of water we didn't have to say that they would necessarily stay upright now that we're getting our feet wet we're getting all the vehicles that are supposed to be getting across the water wet because we're failing at times this one's called schedule we have to schedule things I feel like we've made pretty good progress now why are there two anchor points so I think it's just this seems pretty simple yeah whatever I do here I should be able to replicate over here a1 and E all right that looks good doesn't it right and then so what we just do a contracting alright that goes up not high enough okay so we need I guess I could always just do we don't have any limits on these so let's just copy all that see if it works huh okay hydraulic controller at all what's this well family this is deceptive right cuz we need I just need to figure out how to like move these things and I think it has something to do with clicking the hydraulic controller right cuz it works is it's a nice little design yeah but much more work needs to be done but so let me know if you guys want to see more poly bridge because honestly it's just such a challenging game but it's also pretty chill and fun and
