Gold & Antique Jewelry Discoveries In a Box ESTATE SALE FINDS

good morning from deals to stay sales today we I have a special little treat I'm going to unbox a collection of jewelry that I recently put together from a house that we're going to do a future sale in it's a very nice little home uh very cute very quaint and the lady was an author and an artist and that is shown throughout her home along with her grandfather actually was a jeweler and we have some of his jewelry today and we're going to go through it piece by piece and see what we have so I am going to walk over here to my table and I'm going to turn the camera around and we're going to start this and Mally is going to follow me and hopefully he won't be into everything so it's all in here I don't know that this is all of it it's what I could gather up I'm going to show you well normally what I do is I I look at it obviously I I bag it I price it but there's more to it than that I'm looking for uh Sterling I'm looking for gold I'm looking for Marks and I'm not going to really do all that today I'm gonna gonna kind of quickly go through it not really quickly but I can't make an hour long video um so let's start by looking at some earrings and see what we have here I don't know which way is this is the way so we have some little earrings smiley faces say hello Mally go away go away no okay go that way Molly is pretty old and he is the little ones on the uh well you know it needs cost and attention Okay go I'm trying to do a video here all right those are those earrings okay Mallie move please okay just a minute go go okay let's start with this box here smelly wool cooperate okay looks like a buckle okay what do we have that's oh it's pretty it's definitely older it looks Art Nouveau which dates it to about you know 1915 1916 1917 something like that around that time period okay some costume uh nice piece Mallet get away please I see a hair okay all right that's a nice piece that looks 40s to me and it's got some rhinestones but that really doesn't matter too much with the collectors and later I'll look more closely for a Maker's Mark some of these can go in the 200 range I'm not so sure about this one and condition wise however they can we don't sell them for that much at the estate sale people in the No No as they say Okay Melly go away this is a little fish pan that's pretty well the rhinestones be nice if it was diamonds and a ruby eye there but no alas it's not I can pretty much tell gold when I see it I've dealt with it so much okay what do we have here it's a purse it's a it's a um it's definitely antique and now I've got the earring thing hanging from just a minute [Applause] I'm going to rip it apart before I even get it sold okay just a minute okay fixed okay some more earrings what do you think Molly we have some sterling silver seals around the sides those could be real right there they look like Opals and definitely have that opalescent finesse to them and those could be diamonds and uh gold for sure there's some lapis lazulu some Sterling Sterling that looks like malachite the green those big ones are probably cubic zirconia we're going to set those back here with Mr you know who okay Nelly move okay this is what I'd normally deal with when I'm doing anything is of course now I'm one-handed it's kind of hard for me to get him to leave okay there's a pin pretty again has that 40s look where they added some color uh popular with rhinestones a lot of floral and curved curvy areas popular in the in the 1940s if it has a mark that would help stop licking me thank you very much okay Melly go all right we're gonna have a discussion me and Molly okay go lay down he's not allowed up here but of course he doesn't care what I have to say about anything all right what's in this Royal sister [Applause] so let's kind of look at them as a whole Okay so we've got some costume with that silver tone and this looks like some abalone shell and those look like what's in that box okay I mean I'm not handful anyway [Applause] here is now that again looks like lapis really pretty I like the round simpleness of it Sterling what's this it says mom it's a newer a newer piece beaded necklace with some art glass it looks like pretty colors Aquas and teals in the earrings to match okay newer piece but nice okay this is a pretty bag I showed these on my YouTube video that morning I was in the home and looking out the pretty sunny window look how but now you can see the detail much better look how beautiful that is with a little dangle the bottom there's usually something dangling and they usually had some damage or were missing because they're easily ripped off while they're these bags are being carried okay what else do we have this one was in the video and this one has an has 1850s well actually it has more of a 40s look it just you know the more you work with the stuff you really get a feel and a and a taste for the eras in which the jewelry was made and I would say this definitely this is chain mail it's uh with the dangles there that dates it to me to the 40s maybe late 40s go back to this box as in the intrigued a little bit okay it's hard for me to one hand this and but however this looks like it's a bracelet it is Sterling which leads me to believe that these stones are real let me feel them on my face they could be real I'm thinking they are it's pretty and by the way this has an art deco look about it to me the shapes of the stones or the polished stones have definitely has a 40s look I mean an art deco look which would date it to the you know 20s 30s okay this blue that's pretty I just think that's just something not you know not real but still a pretty little collection so far I'm gonna go over there and turn on that light because the Sun is going down behind me and it's getting dark so not that one that one let's go back Melius decided to go to the floor which is great hopefully he'll stay down there okay thank you what else do we have in here some green almost looks like a jade could be a beaded silver tone necklace I don't think that's real and this is costume definitely okay another box down let's go back over here oh see what's in here Napier established 1922 yeah that's the name you always see when you're looking through jewelry collections you see it and this is a newer piece and another 20 years it'll be collectible right now this is considered some contemporary jewelry it is new but it's lovely she had really good taste I mean all of her stuff tends to have that green purple blue teal kind of looks and when you see her home you'll kind of understand she she loved nature and it was reflected so much in her artwork and in her clothing and just just her home in general okay SLT another new piece simple little things now that's a cute little smile necklace so smile now that's something that we wouldn't sell for very much at the estate sale but you know what somebody's gonna love it make a nice little gift here is something sunny and bright and reminds me again well of this collection of her house of this lady again that's the problem with these jewelry collections that a lot of times they're all um Tangled Up so there's a nice pin what's this oh kind of hummel-esque looks like a Hummel I'm not really as you know into animals but that's kind of cute oh a little oh it's broken up there that's too bad but a little uh handmade woven like out of basket straw pan I have a butterfly it's really cute probably can be repaired right what do we have here that's a nice big one oh definitely got that uh 50s 60s look going on kind of Swarovski crystal s probably not Swarovski but they are crystals they're glass I can feel the coldness really pretty see all right nice collection okay let's open up this box see what we have going on hey well now this is lovely this is a ladies compact on a chain when they would go out to the theater or to dinner I can't imagine being able to keep track of something like this and not like dropping it on the floor and like I do with my cell phone constantly so the enamel work is called goulash on this and I may not pronounce that correctly but with my accent that's how I what I call it I call it goulash um it's the enamel work if you look closely you can see the lines in it and this is a beautiful lavender which I have not seen too many things in this color hand-painted details of the flower on top let's open it up we have a mirror a compact with some powder so that's what every lady needs when she's out to dinner to be able to dab her nose and cheeks and and see what her lipstick looks like this part this part may come open too but I don't think I'm going to try that right now okay let's see what's in this box okay these are really some beautiful rings oh no of course you know it wouldn't be a complete video unless Nelly didn't throw up in the background sorry about that so anyway that's great story of my life okay Krista and her barfing cat all right so here we have just ignore him please this is a lovely opal ring look at the red Sheen inside of that and that's probably most likely that's set in gold these came from the store her grandfather had in the 30s so that that these are automatically dated and she did tell me that when she pulled these up that's a lovely um probably a golden topaz a gallon something gold sorry about my cat people I mean he's 14 he has a tumor what else I could go on and on about him he's my big baby I can't go anywhere without him being like next to me or at least three feet from me but she is still I'm doing his thing um mice Cameo ring satin and gold what else do we have here sterling ring lapis she loved her lapis lapis lazulu picture hanger or something another earring from stuff over there let's see what we have here hmm looks kind of like a Star Sapphire it could be not a very good Star though um I don't know I can't tell oh I forgot to put my glasses on as usual I have them around my neck here let me put those on and that will definitely help out the situation here okay here is a gorgeous and very asymmetrical amethyst ring let's look and see if we can see any marks in there there is a mark but I can't see what it is right now I'm sure it's probably 14 karat here is a a neat black cameo that could be it that's probably an onyx background is there damage on that I can't tell but maybe see all the stuff will need to be looped I'll look for Marks I'll look for you know the carrots there's the mark right there pretty little collection okay this is definitely a man's ring I can get it all the way up my pointer finger there and is it white gold or platinum one of the two either way it's very heavy and very nice um another opal ring I'm gonna get the hang of this YouTube business one of these days this the whole filming is a little difficult for me at times now this one is gorgeous look at the color of that garnet now I would it's not a ruby because it's huge for a ruby I mean there are of course huge rubies but I think for this quality of a garnet Stone if it were a ruby it'd be worth quite a bit but that's neat little seed pearls around it possibly that's the design or could there be a few missing possibly again another band this time ladies band maybe it's matching that one I'm not I don't think it matches but this is uh either white gold or platinum actually next to that other one it looks kind of gold it's probably because just yellow gold okay this looks like quartz or mother of pearl those do not look like real in fact this whole ring just doesn't have a real um look to me there's an abalone ring this ring is caught on a some little pin and a marcusite ring very nice quite a collection okay we have I love these velvet cases you could always you always know that there's something nice lurking inside or something empty is it empty no oh boom there is a watch and that is a Bulova and that could be the watch that went in this box I'll have to mess around with that you know you can sell these Bulova watch boxes just by themselves so I mean if you're doing a sale or you have this kind of thing at home don't throw it away for God's sakes you wouldn't believe the things that we find in the trash I found a mirror beautiful mirror from the 1930s in the trash I have found Toppers to their parents and grandparents wedding cakes in the trash those things have value and they have not only a sentimental value maybe not to the person who put it in the garbage however other people would appreciate it and that's what we're all about we're a very green company we try to recycle everything even the broken jewelry goes in a bag and we sell the broken jewelry there are a lot of jewelry makers that reuse this stuff why put it in the landfill I don't understand that so this pen on first glance it's got a lot going on you know it's got the Aurora Borealis these little ones here with the iridescence and look like peacock feathers that's called aurora borealis um you've got rhinestones these three in the middle kind of make it look almost like it's real it's not real it's costume it's well done costume though um really hard to date that it looks like it has a mark on the end of the leaf I'll have to look at that later a glance of all that get that nice stuff this is a is a nice collection right here this is a Watch chain we have here a pen that you wear um it's a can and you have your your pencil or your pen on your shirt or sweater you can see some old-timey librarian wearing something like that or a clerk or something in The Andy Griffith Show okay what is this there is an earring caught on this but I believe it's part of a broken necklace but again it's still neat it's still old you could take these pieces apart and make something use them repurpose them into another bracelet or a necklace or something else so here is a is a pendant and it looks gold I see the GF that means gold filled looks like something that somebody got from work with one little diamond in it maybe it meant 10 years or five years or something like that here's a little here's a little bag with something in it let's see what it is it's not teeth or something oh wow look how beautiful that is that is a beautiful gorgeous now that's either gold or gold filled that is a lovely Onyx this has a very Victorian look to it late 1800s 1880s 1890s is my guess okay will I ever know that for sure no but again knowing the styles of jewelry this is a locket let me look inside is it a morning could it be morning jewelry can I get it open oh it's pretty it has several it's got glass it's got several it almost looks like a case that somebody would have made morning jewelry morning not the morning but morning m-o-u-r-n-i-n-g grieving where they would weave hair into flowers designs like basket weave and they would forever have that remembrance of the person that's passed away around their neck that was very very common in in the Victorian household that they would do that they would even make giant arrangements and frame them they were a little on the Macabre side I would I would say okay so this bracelet goes with that big necklace that we found earlier and back over here this has caught my eye look at that that's pretty that's turquoise inlaid turquoise almost enamel like turquoise swirls they look like paisleys that's really neat this box uh that sounds special I'm not close quite old even though it's just shelves but they're really it's an older thing it's neat oh wow that's beautiful everybody know what that is that's I see now that there's a little enamel loss on that but that's that's okay that is a little lily of the valley and it is so pretty and it's so 40s a lot of the stuff must have been from the grandmother and we have a box of watches we have Timex Indigo Indiglo okay what do we have here we have Timex [Applause] we have a no brand I know well she liked her Timex keep on ticking or whatever they say no brand consort foreign Chantilly I don't even know how they could see these really and it was older ladies wearing these too Cornell can't see that yeah okay so the watches they're just there's basically watches and dried flowers in here you never know what you're gonna find about these boxes so don't be scared or fighting something Critter shows up or something like an overall view very nice we still have quite a bit in here though this is heavy see if I can one hand it here okay okay that appears maybe broken but that's older and there's some earrings that match hello Mally see your tail oh that's nice a bar pen could those be real maybe they look really like it could be a gold filled and silver pen with some garnets and diamonds and that definitely could be real that's just not something you can think about and say oh it's real or oh it's not real you have to really look and I have all the testing materials in my office where I hang with my other cats Malley's not an office cat okay there's an earring [Applause] oh this is pretty now that's once again this looks gold and that's rose gold see how it's got the two different colors the gold and the pinkish tone flower there rose gold seed pearls large amethyst amethyst all through this now this this is an antique piece this is this is beautiful that's my birthstone I'm not really into purple my for myself but that is a gorgeous piece thank you [Applause] Robert's lucky because amethyst are semi-precious and we see a lot of amethyst there's two pieces right there right here and right here and there's just you know it's not something I want to buy but somebody definitely wants that here's a nice older Cameo definitely Italian cut shell carb shell rather a nice pendant again probably gold with a diamond we'll have to look at that closer I hope you guys are liking this here's the pendant may it matches that those earrings okay there's one earring anyway um this is costume but it's got that onyx look to it put it over here and then we have I remember picking this necklace up at some point this has a very 40s look to it when you see these cascading chain necklaces like this with a little dangles at the bottom that really dates this to the 40s and that's actually maybe backwards I don't know and that's some tiger eye Crystal star earrings and well we've got another that's that um matching earring over there here we got a bunch of earrings and necklaces turquoise and half of them are probably laying down in there some necklaces pretty I'm gonna just stick this right over here like that right now and just see what else we would have pink quartz little antique bits and bobs silver pen a lot of solar earrings something in here oh shiny pen that's pretty again costume so that's not real but it looks nice it's got substance to it that's a pretty earring that goes with that one over over there These Chains look old they maybe gold plated they may not be gold I don't know through the old scratch test here's a neat pin over here we have this looks like Whiting and Davis could be popular until the present day they still whining and Davis still still makes pieces that is an older Peach you could tell by the zipper by the pull it's many many little things that give age of items away just overall quality and feel in your hand this is an older piece you can tell again old snap sewn on so they just does don't make things like this anymore nice lining and it has the little holder in the back so again this would be for going out on the town to dinner or something with your sweetheart formalities anymore and that's that's a shame I missed the I don't I never knew the formalities um born in the late 60s I didn't have to wear hand gloves or wear hats or do anything like that that's kind of neat this cufflinks a pretty Cameo laying over there by itself that's definitely a real cameo probably not gold however the Cameo is nice [Music] oh pretty a flower pen well I hope you enjoyed this spending this half an hour with me and him Mali he's my buddy I'm sorry about what he did but anyway life with a cat what can you do our videos we really appreciate it um one last glance of this jewelry collection it means so much to us that we have people that just have told us at the sales that they love these videos and to keep them up and and we plan on doing that um until at least I get to the point where I can't do it anymore or I just I just keep I will plan on doing it look at that I just love that that's probably my favorite piece what's
