we just finished checking out that drift section we originally came into this area from that direction and then behind me here is an area we haven't explored yet so getting into that oh getting this good stop action here look at this that's cool that's my buddy's light up there or shining up there i should say he's standing over there yeah guys just continues from what we were looking up to before myers graffiti here there's a really good view up in that stove right here look at this huh another and balls right there yeah on a bowl nice oh i said oh i missed the yeah look at the horn the larger contacts to the horns wow poor ferrari looks like he's eating a corn cob i wonder if that's a ruby rosa reference right there that's funny um that was a tobacco tin or two missed yeah that's really cool and then oh yeah that's a great view of this tube wow it looked like quite a ways yeah for sure it runs up there too and looking ahead it's a couple carbide cans makes that timber set wow really good shape yeah much a fuse cord uh rope oh rope okay yeah that's a more modern newspaper it says 1995 oh yeah nice stop action here that goes up away we're wow down this way another carbide can down there two of them that's in good shape or you know relatively good shape yeah a little dented up by abandoned mine standards it was in pretty good shape actually a horseshoe up here on the right 19 20 29 i think yeah it looks very looks like a nine yeah hard to say but i could be convinced and we're gonna scramble over there i just clambered over that and you can see there's a relatively sharp bend here and something interesting connected to that you can see that to shave down the timber here in order to get the ore cars by it which is pretty interesting and then oh it's a pretty big stop over here as well there's some decent timbering a lot of gobbling up there shake that up oh yeah that's a kind of cool perspective of all these timbers underneath here looks like they're tracking or car loads over there of course got some gobble on the right here more good graffiti name right there yeah a little raise going up there 1939 [Music] 1527 27 yep oh yeah 19 19 19. huh there [Music] gm i'm trying to make what that says i don't know what's almost a code yeah i don't know what that said maybe 19th of december maybe oh yeah de 19 19. so december 19 1919 there's some gobbing there on the right a little stoop here it's a rough shape yeah it's a messy one speaking of messy it's a little messy yeah rose back there see some materials come down here and old sardine label product in norway yeah that's freaking cool this stoop up here so this is actually a route down to the 400 here all right yeah there's something back here though i think we should go back here first okay cool kind of safely as possible clamor through this i'll ditch my backpack yeah i think it's a good idea just made my way through that and there's a treat back here for us in the form of an ore car nice guppies in here it's a nice one still in the track and everything yeah you don't see that too often it still rolls too oh wow that's cool it's not a i thought it might it was so uh beat up down there i thought it wouldn't frame for a minute but that's like a riveted steel [Music] it's still yeah oh still tips it works [Music] that's pretty cool wow yeah look at that see that door door just tipped open [Music] very cool that's a nice find yeah always good to find one of these on the track for sure yeah that's a rarity unfortunately [Music] [Music] it rolls really well it seems like yeah doesn't look like you're working too hard to do that yeah it needs a little bit of lubrication some resistance but it's not bad not bad for sitting here for probably 100 years or so yeah definitely wow coming up on 100 if it was 1930s and then drift keeps going past or car good section of gobbing right there for sure that looks like a patchy powder huh it's definitely not hercules this is probably apache powder apache is not a brand i see very often at all some carbide sifters yeah tomato juice very nutritious mm-hmm bloody mary's in here wish came on a junction here runs that way see some ground fall back there and there's something running off that way yeah the water intrusion now huh that's all you can see it all over the back here yeah for sure we're down pretty deep see the water yeah jeez that's impressive the amazing thing is we haven't had consistent rain here in over six months that's yeah that's amazing how slowly it percolates it's cold too yeah it's actually cold yeah it's cold that's cool almost refrigerator cold actually wow yeah a little pit dropping off down here yeah this is another pass that we also have on our repelling radar wow that's so it yeah this was another section of mine that burned i see we think we know where it goes we have an idea okay um which this can i think i found the bottom of this last time we were down here so uh we're i think i'm not i'm not totally confirmed yet so we may or may not repel it okay go that way we came in from that direction and our forward progress has been stopped by this cave section in front of us interestingly there's or there are the remains of the work car here in front of us and the frame of it here the wheel's gone but still kind of interesting to see that i don't know why i see that section off by itself then to our left is very very backfilled drift garbage nothing really interesting some some barrel banding and wood yeah a little bit of dynamite crate that's the end of that we were just looking down there where the remains of the ore car are we came in to this section from that way you can actually see the other ore car right there the intact one behind me here this backfield drift just ends right there and i pointed out this other drift on the way in and it just is completely caved right there so we will go back this way drop down to the 400 we just came out of that section there on the left and made our way through and we're going to drop down here to get down to the 400 level obviously i've turned the camera off for that and uh i can pick up at the bottom once he's clear i don't know how steep that looks on the camera but that's pretty steep we just slid down from up there and i've come into a little stop chamber here see some muck sheets there decent gobbing right here and there are two sub levels here actually there's one running off that way and apparently there's another one below that you can see the remains of an ore car here and looks like a shoot right here yeah that's dropping down below us out of the man way next to it we're gonna be going down there in a little bit but there's some cool stuff back here to show you first over here see there's a classifier screen right there remains of some dynamite boxes and that just runs back there a little way next to this pile of gobbing so i'm gonna scoot over this here huh there's some black looks like black calcite right there that is interesting huh and yeah you can already see there's some interesting stuff over there so i'm going to scoot over this and i'll pick up right there just crossed over from next to the ore car there that's looking down where we're going to go dropping down there it's an old oil can here from the looks of it there are a couple shovel heads here uh burlap sack or the reins of one here all right orbin or excuse me or shoot right here and one carbide can there this is kind of cool looking you can see down some stops on the left that drops way down there oh wow see the the track down there this is a cool view obviously like that remember i mentioned that sub level down there that's it it's unusual to see them terraced like this a little bit down there that's really interesting and then you see along the skinny little edge right here to over here a couple tobacco tins right there looks like prince albert on the left and yeah prince albert on the right uh this is kind of a cool view that looks precarious those timbers there was that oh that's cool look how hammered down the edge of that one tip is compared to this wow yeah it was up here where was that it was up on a ledge here that's really neat up in this little stove kinda how long that's been there i don't know you just found that up there yeah it's amazing and i uh i saw where you put it yeah right there actually hill hills brothers coffee can that's neat that's a that's a rare you can tell i got some use too oh yeah jeez just uh just ends and stops right here yeah and it goes up that way but it's all it's all real small and just doesn't go anywhere yeah as you can see just stops right here a little pillar right there ah a little bit rough working back here yeah all right we're back at this man way we're gonna drop down to the sub-level below us see andrew making his way down we're going down that one we saw with the rail clear yep just came down the ladder here and down that indiana jones-looking trestle and the 400 is down there so we are working our way down here's a view of what's in front of me i think that's extremely photogenic personally shooting off back that way there's a can of lard there the miners weren't actually using the lard on the ground that's um you know they would use that at home for cooking or whatever and then bring the buckets down here carry their lunch in or drill bits or whatever something really interesting here an original candle the miners were using the wick has dissolved away but that is an original candle that is i remember last time i saw that that's exceptionally rare that's really really neat to see that that's how i used to light the mines when they were working no fancy lights like we have there's andrew down there making his way down there when he's clear i'm going to drop down as well there's looking down the indiana jones trestle there i thought this is really photogenic it's hard to photograph easier with video so just wanted to show you real quick this is what's supporting that trestle and i'm gonna thread my way down through there that lard bucket is right here as a point of reference i just noticed that interesting mineralization there man i love this that's really photogenic we're still threading our way down through these stoves as you can see dropping down there and then we just slid in here from up through that crack there so it's pretty rough going through this section but this is the way down to the 400 more stops over here so obviously i need both hands for that so we're going to keep bending and twisting our way down and i'll pick up when i can we have made it to the 400 believe it or not we came down through that mess not easy as you can see probably and we're on the 400 level you see the track there we've picked up and we're headed off this way see how dark it is down here meaning the rock not the mine itself very dark rock down here nice little pit in front of us here nice it's a stop or uh okay there's a hole here that this uh airline drops into as well cool i had to do some interesting footwork you'd cross that i'm sure obviously i gotta put the camera away guys so i'll pick up over there i just crossed over that and it wasn't easy because to get across you have to dig your heels into that and then put your hands over on that side if that makes sense so not easy you can see it's an airline i believe dropping down there you can see a spaghetti pattern of airlines down there we may go down there later but for now i'll see a little bit of the 400 heading off this direction a little dynamite box right there it has a pretty impressive gobbing here actually drift running off that way that sign right there yeah that's actually part of the old signage that marked the drifts on this level that's cool you don't see that very often no i don't it's pretty pretty uncommon just stops right there yeah stoke dropping off down that way i think it just stops right there ah another or car or part of it there's only two down here oh another one 41 i like that that's cool with the microscopy there yeah i tell you that's been upside down for a while yep yeah that gobbing was all the way through here that's pretty impressive back through there this is what you're saying it still has the bottom part of the frame on it collapse that way okay collapse down that way and that way we just look down there and these stoops are virgin mine territory in the sense that they have not been explored so we're gonna drop down see if we can find anything we're off to a good start because andrew already found california blasting caps can oakland california backed expressly for apache powder company curtis arizona which is only 20 miles from here that's cool and they're still in business that's a neat find man that's really cool well it makes me curious about what else might be in here we'll find out exactly hold paper dynamite paper dynamite paper packing material cool the sawdust kind of scared me from it might be the end of it we just came in from there and i think we may be at the end already uh as you can see that just ends right there and then andrew's up where we looked down before and that carbide can was that's albert cam that's cool but that's the end over there for you right yeah it doesn't go anywhere past this point actually goes back up into the drift here okay i'm glad we checked yeah we just finished exploring that section of the 400 and we're back at this interesting crossing and andrew says demonstrate what you have to do to get across leap of faith right there i'm glad that airline's there yeah i wouldn't want to trust that rub that timber there nope so i'm about to do the same and i'll pick up over there to get under the 500 we've got to drop down here so just made his way down there and i will be doing the same and getting out could be interesting but we'll figure out a way we just climbed down through here into the stop here which is widened out a lot and i'm now looking at the largest stole i've ever seen which is right there obviously runs into two or three feet under andrew's there to get some scale runs all the way up there that's the biggest you've seen too right yeah i haven't seen anyone anywhere else he's been in a lot of minds as well so that's that's impressive actually what's even more impressive to me is the fact they got it down here i don't even know how they did that well those twists and turns that's incredible to me you know what's funny is it's upside down the narrow part of the tapers at the bottom i thought that yeah i didn't know if i was it was an optional illusion or not but yeah it looked like that to me yeah i mean in terms of like especially power poles or anything like this it's upside down that's funny huh this uh is virgin unexplored territory through this stop here so excited to see what's down here there's the telephone pole right there we're looking at the stop here real nice goblin wall right there he's standing next to and the pipes are dropping down this way so we shall as well there's a little stoke behind me here he looked in while i was coming down and just stops right there so next stop heading down here trying to get down to the 500. how's it look not flooded awesome i can see rat tracking down on that drift fantastic that's good normal floods this is a definitely a two-handed maneuver for sure there's looking down to the 500. there's a pillar right there and some track on there and like you said it's not flooded so that's exciting dynamite box nice that's in surprisingly good shape considering how damp it is down here yeah it's definitely rotten but it's solid this is a two-hander so i'll put the camera away and pick up somewhere down there you
