Gifted Conviction Unlocks VERY Strong Builds (And Very Awkward In PvP)

this exotic is very special gifted conviction it's for Ark Hunter and great news guys we have something for Ark hunter that doesn't involve tumbling around all over the place getting melees that's great this could be used with Prismatic or on arcstrider I'm going to talk about PVE and The Crucible today because they both play very differently on what you want to do with it build around it certain selections are needed with PVE there's more than one way I going to talk about a ton with how the perk works with the Exotic and there's really cool things that I'm going to show you different ways to build craft for The Crucible there's some things to clear up it's very odd in PvP but when it works it works it feels like you're playing Smash Bros Z combo legit every time I do this in PvP I say that in my head and it cracks me up and we'll talk about the Happy Feet Wombo Combo later the Exotic perk is the gift of certainty activating Ascension or Tempest strike throws bouncing explosives at nearby Targets that jolt and damage them jolting nearby Targets grants you damage resistance with Tempest strike that's the melee chart we have two balls that go out left and right of the wave this is because the melee itself baked in does jolting the wave has good damage it jolts so two balls on each side Ascension the new aspect while Airborne consume your class ability to summon your Arc staff Propel upwards create a burst of energy around you and amplifies allies and jolts Targets this one shoots three balls from your Center camera they go Tad further if you look straight up in the air if that option ever comes up and you can also look straight down and they will extend out in a wave in front of you just wherever you're looking and a a big note here something to consider even though you do consume your Dodge it is not coded as a Dodge or a class ability meaning something like Reaper does not proc and I'm not sure why because other things work but not this but don't waste a slot on Reaper both of these can jolt targets and you can run them together one's a melee one's a class ability both jolt at base but the Exotic has these bouncing balls that hit targets that aren't in your area of effect and it can jolt them they do damage and if one's already jolted a ball could hit them and then proc a jolt to do damage to nearby Targets when you jolt something you get a stack of resist and resist 1 is 10% resist 2 25 3 40 and resist 4 is 50% damage reduction again each jolt adds a stack I'm going to come right back to this the last part of the perk jolting nearby Targets grants you damage resistance it means that in the literal way if you have a volt shot weapon like nonu Ma I just went over the volt shot bow when you tag targets with Jolt you can get a stack of resist the max stack is four that 50% and has a 10-second timer within that time frame if you jolt another Target the timer is going to reset but also again in a literal since it works on nearby Targets you're not going to slap on this exotic start volt shotting things and get resist because if you shoot a bow at like mid-range get jolt on a Target no resist you could be on whatever weapon but get closer to an enemy like right here you apply the jolt you get the resist so you do have to be somewhat close like 15 m in in keep that in mind it's not just free Dr all the time like yeah it's 50% but also your resilience ties in a Dr right so at tier 10 resilience as you should be in PVE that's 30% resist 4 is 50% out of the gate that's 65 5% damage resist so even though yeah it says resist 4 50% you should be running tier 10 so it's more like 65 between Prismatic and arcstrider with Prismatic you use the Strand super pick up an orb you can get woven male woven male and PVE is 45% so that 45% with the resilience 30% with the 50% from resist 4 from this exotic is 84.2 five resist that's a lot of damage resist again Vol shotting things with an arc siphon you have Ascension picking up orbs you just go Prismatic is great I almost have all the unlocks for Hunter but even if I did I encourage you to run this exotic on the regular Arc Strider you have Gathering storm for bigger Target damage or you just use the plain Arc staff because with this exotic you can use Ascension at will all the time jolt targets before going in for damage or if you don't have any resist you could jolt an area to get resist four then go in with your super so the arc staff isn't bad and the options there to run tip of strike and Ascension together but I don't recommend that I would go with Ascension and Flow State because Flow State defeating jolted targets makes you Amplified while you're Amplified your Dodge recharges quickly you have resists while dodging and you get a fast reload I run instinct when low Health you emit a burst of energy that jolts so that translates to if they're close to you they pop your Shields you jolt them and you gain a stack of resist that's good haste better recovery resilience Mobility while sprinting resistance when surrounded you get Dr so that's 25% that goes into whatever you do whatever stack you get up tier 10 resilience with resist four from this exotic you're looking really good Focus Sprint and you get your Dodge back faster helmet is an arc siphon because you're going to want orbs heavy finder Scout loader for the arc weapon and then focusing and bolstering so a melee or grenade hit gets back class ability the chest charged up harmonic resist and any resist that you want in this case void the legs stacks on Stacks better ready and insulation picking up an orb gets you charged it gets you health and it gives you class ability energy and you can switch out stacks on Stacks insulation or better already for surges if you want and the class item double utility Kickstart no Reaper utility Kickstart does work for whatever reason and you're going to use those charges to get back your class ability so it's going to be within seconds because all of that combined like you're going to throw Ascension you're going to get resist you're going to get some orbs maybe have a volt shot weapon you're going to be running so your Dodge is coming back gaining Dr by enemies gaining Dr through this exotic using utility Kickstart you see how fast that class ability flies you can keep throwing it kickart goes off keep running and one of the better Parts about Flow State and being Amplified is the increased reload and this is why Arc strer over Prismatic I just think it's overall better because we can switch some things around like this is very strong by itself remember exension you immediately get Amplified and then flow state starts coming in but this kit you have a lot more options there's one that I want to show you that I think is extremely strong that no one's really talking about like say you have a volt shot embedded kindness you know everybody's best friend but even if you don't have a volt shot one I don't have one that's the dream but with amplify float state it just negates the reload so if you have a volt shot one you get off more volt shot procs but it's a special weapon that means you can take off a fragment of your choice and add in spark of beacons rarely used while Amplified your Arc special or heavy weapon fin blows create a blinding explosion and with how fast you get your Dodge how much Dr you have like I said I don't have volt shot I didn't miss it because I have a lot of resist because I have Ascension up all the time but these final blows with this rocket sidearm are blinding everything around it and they're all jolted and oh yeah I forgot to mention ionic traces going to be there giving you energy too the embedded kindness blinding setup is nuts I love it and the fragment isn't used too often because it uses Special ammo or heavy ammo and you have to be Amplified this exotic gets you Amplified 24/7 things are jolted you have Dr the rocket sidearms are ammo efficient it works and I also want to give a mention to glaes real quick I mean Amplified negating a glaive Reload is huge because the glaive reloads are slow but you have another source of Dr to use sitting in front of bosses or whatever regaining health and activities in front of them taking aggro I did the 2000 I believe it's 2005 power the second level the expert of the new activity it did great you have that 70 plus Dr on your back you have the shield up front you're just vibing but with this exotic you're all about resist four and throwing a ension nonstop especially with that build that I talked about and there's different things you could add to it or take away but the core of it is there Flow State utility Kickstart strong use a volt shot weapon or something again like the rocket sidearm and go it is very strong in PVE and I can't wait to use it in higher tier content when I start doing my RAID runs this is what I'm going to use moving on to The Crucible I have some fundamental issues with it I mean I have big issues with it actually can you get it to work sure is it fun yeah at times but at what cost like first resist in The Crucible is new nuked I mean glaive stag renewal over the years as expected resist 1 2.5 2 is 5 3 is 7.5 and four is 10% when push comes to shove in the end like in close quarters a resist one or resist two if you get it to proc it's not going to save you cuz you've already taken damage it's not going to really help you but first we have Ascension now Ascension is a good thing for its use case like say at the start of a game or a trials match you make everyone including yourself Amplified and you fly to Mid that's good or maybe a last second get out of jail free card to get away or stay alive a little bit longer while teammates get a clean up on someone but in The Crucible all these examples are egregious using it with this exotic what you're trying to do it kind of feels like there's never been a better way for certain death cuz you're trying to drop the balls on people you're up there for way too long and if there was something like a shatter dive to combo this with it's a different story but as it stands don't do it just to do it cuz you will go down like a 95% success rate at that someone will find you you're up there too long you're going to go down even if you think you're safe you're not but the whole idea idea is to drop jolt on them ping pong jolt with the balls on Sola targets eh two or more that's where it's at kind of like kasto and also you're up in the air so you want something good from the air and a couple Clips I am using kavasa cuz that first bullet always Ricochet if you jolt a group and then land a bullet you're going to get a Ricochet so that's good but things like sidearms a couple times I was using the new legendary wither horde but with Ascension it is best in small areas doorways above doorways because you either throw the balls in and around corners or or down at your feet and the balls go inside and they kind of seek out but by itself Ascension I wouldn't do it it's just I don't think it's worth it and the best use case again is just baiting doorways and corners and more on that in the second because that's not better than like a faot trace or Stompy and a lot more or one in particular I'm going to bring up in a moment and then we have Tipp a strike the other way and I have a couple issues with tip a strike like first of all the wave is good 146 damage is great it jolts anyway and the two Arc balls and the resists like aren't adding too much I think I don't I mean if there's two or more enemies it does have that added utility but just like Ascension using doorways and Corners with the tip of right you can throw the wave out Miss the wave but an arc ball can bounce around the corner and jolt someone like sure that's cool your whole goal with these two things and this exotic is Close Quarters combat and in the end I'm not sure it's better than bomber deers in this use case of what you're trying to do like especially on strand there's so many times where I'm like okay baiting a doorway or corner I'm going into an area like bombers would have done better I did find it best to run them together there's three reasons for that one if you're doing it do it go all in you're using this exotic use both of them because two you can use them together as you saw in the opening clip of for PVP it's a lot better together than separately because in groups it will wipe the Happy Feet Wombo Combo and things like getting your Dodge back Faster by sprinting having a decently High melee like your abilities are going to be back and also with running them separately the third thing is like right here here I started off with an Ascension got Amplified for reloads and such I got a jolt off got some resist get a couple kills another enemy comes around I throw the tip of strike so I go from resist two to resist three I had both and it worked out great having the option to use one of the other or back to back or having the combo is way more beneficial than them individually not having the other one and in the end I found like even when tactfully using it it gets you killed more than it helps and I haven't really brought it up like even though you have the faster Dodge abilities are premium your Dodge on the ground to get away usually sit being up in the air with the cin and most of the time it just puts you in bad positions if you're aggressive with it so I don't recommend that and it felt like the only way to really use it is defensively above and around corners and again if you're doing that anyway there's bombers there's other options and then beyond that neutral things stompies coyote whatever and after playing with them like it was fun there's only really one word and one word only to describe it for PVP neat it's neat that's it fun to use when it works it works and it works well but just know what you're getting yourself into have that mindset have some fun with them PVE is where it's at there's a ton of stacking and building you do with them and a lot do get caught up with the stacking Dr like you get 99. n914 Dr you're going to crush GM's 1,400 power below it like sure cool whatever but there's so much more than Dr right here at base and you can add to it and the base resist of what it does the times for through resilience is is more than enough it really is and then you can build out other things when you're throwing these ascensions every 7 seconds or sooner it's always up like I
