so today I wanted to talk a little bit about this new technology called Goan splitting new technology I mean everybody's talking about it already uh it's been around for a while but Corridor Digital just came out with this video and I think it was pretty cool this uh infinite Corridor effect and I looked it up on YouTube and there is just not much coverage about how to do any of this kind of stuff so yeah I thought I would like to break the ice so let's jump right into it first of course you need to download post chat this is only a beta version I mean they are still developed in it but you can just download a free version on Windows and just set it up as a normal program you don't have to do anything fancy so let's open a push shot and as you can see we have an unlo project here already import your footage I'm going to use this set of images of this ship loader it was shut on the Drone yeah as you can see we have some nice Reflections on the water so here at least we can also take advantage of the reflection properties of the Goan splatting but of course with water it's sometimes a little bit tricky because if the wind is blowing the surface it's uh of course not going to be smooth and the reflections it will confuse the program but for now let's just focus on the solid object I mean of course we could just make a photo scan of this ship loader and then uh work with it as we usually do but actually I think this cion sweating even if you're not working with Reflections it can still give you a lot more detail yeah let's import the images let's select all of them and hit open our Max features is currently set up at eight let's increase it a bit I usually increase it to like 24 so it's like three times the amount the maximum image is 89 as we have 89 images I think if you want to get the best results possible you have to set up your images manually so that's why I'm using all images this is because I already deleted the blurry frames or the frames that I thought were not usable so now I can just hit use all images I actually don't want to D simple the images because you want to get the highest result and I'm also unticking this stop training after 30,000 steps because I just want to let it train it and then I'm just going to stop it when I think it has a good enough detail and we just have to wait for it to finish while the training is running I'm going to show you how to work with these files inside of After Effects let's create a new project and a new composition and let's create a new solid in our composition let's call it Nerf and apply the post shot effect on our layer here you can just load the file that you trained already and it should already show up in the in After Effects it's actually very smooth and uh yeah the workflow is working pretty well and then I can create a new camera and just yeah move around the scene as you would inside of After Effects you can make a lot of cool things with it and I'm already working on a video about how you can use this in the real life basically actually I was thinking of breaking this video into three or like make a series of this Nerf scanning with After Effects and Nerf scanning pipeline it will take a little bit of time but yeah we will see
