hi hello hi so today i have kind of a cool idea that i've been really wanting to do for like i don't know a couple days now and that is to make completely fixed hitboxes now i think i saw someone do this like quite a while ago but the method i'm going to be using here is kind of new i think and i don't think i've seen anyone else really do it before so if you don't know um let me turn hitboxes on here you can see this is the hitbox of a regular spike this red rectangle in here and as you can see it's not really very representative of the whole spike now what some people do to make fixed teeth boxes is they'll get a spike like this and then they'll put it inside of this spike here like so now that hitbox is a lot more accurate it really is but it's still not completely fixed right but recently i saw in a video made by wolsey where he made a troll level is that if you scale negatively using slider limit on mega hack v6 here you can see that it actually creates just a very very tiny dot of a hitbox here look how small that hitbox is right but what i kind of had the idea to do is to take this and then to kind of line it up here and create a proper actual properly fixed hitbox so i could do something kind of along the lines of this right i might need to make these invisible give me a sec now that's great and all but there's still a gap there and we want to make the most accurate hitboxes we possibly can and that is like the smallest step you can do but you can go even smaller with free move right here yep that's right so we can enable free move and if we kind of duplicate that and then move them in between like so do that duplicate it one more time and then move that in between you can see that is a pretty damn accurate hitbox like that yeah so i think that's what we're going to be doing here um let me so let's put that spike back there and let's start creating the full hitbox here [Music] okay and boom there are the completely fixed hitboxes for this spike oh my god look at that preview mode off it looks a little bit ridiculous but also kind of cool what anyway let's turn that back on all right so now that we have the complete spike let's link that together and we can see that it's almost 300 objects per spike so yeah this isn't very object efficient to say the least okay so let's just hop into normal mode and let's take a look at how this feels right oh man look at that you die as soon as you touch any of it that's insane like i'll place a normal spike over here right like if we go after this spike you can see that we die the minute we get anywhere near this one look how far into the spike i am there so i want to mess around with this a little bit first of all let's try and create a triple spike shall we fixed hitbox triple spike oh god hey i did it okay hell yeah twice in a row three times in a row okay this isn't too too bad yeah actually that's not that bad at all all right reckon i could expand the triple spike at least a little bit oh oh this might be a stretch oh okay i did it okay so let's flip those around oh god okay i think that's about as good as it's gonna get okay so now what i want to do is try and make some straight fly yeah uh oh why is it done that oh no flipping it doesn't work properly either oh no let's select this spike in the middle move it out and then if i flip that over okay and then i can flip that over and put it out there okay we're good we're good so regular straight fly it's really oh my god my frames bro yeah normal straight fly not that bad because the hitboxes are really forgiving this fixed hitbox straight fly though this will be interesting i can't even get in there is that even physically possible it's technically possible oh my god that's so tight though let's go into speed hack mode here and let's see if i can i can't even do it in speed hack mode oh god the lightest micro click while you're there is like death i got through one spike okay so that's how tight straightfly would actually be if you know the hitboxes were accurate all right well with that i think i'm going to go ahead and try and make a challenge with these fixed hitboxes yeah it's not going to be anything fancy but i you know i just kind of want to make a short little layout challenge thing with them got to use this i reckon okay so i'm going to do something like this and then i think i kind of want to make a ufo gap like this is that even physically possible i'm not sure i'm not used to working with fixed heat boxes normally that like isn't that impossible and i'm not convinced that's even possible okay let's expand that a little bit then now i'm gonna make you mini just so that you can whoops just so that you can like have a little bit more freedom with what you got to do right so like i can you know do this i can make this actually just like a normal gap right and it's still like it's not impossible because you're mini right in fact i might make this mini right out of the get-go just so that you can do the normal gap right yeah i kind of want to do that okay how about i start you off mini i don't like it being on the ground so i'm gonna try and do this yeah that's really hard without fixed hitboxes i don't even think that's possible okay i'm gonna do that no that's not that hard though it's too hard it's not then it's not hard enough i'm gonna do that yeah sure all right do something like that and then i might do kind of a gap down here and then up like that maybe okay that seems really difficult so far let me try this in normal mode so far okay all right that's doable that's doable it's hard with the wave because i feel like it's pretty accurate anyway right but normal wave will be a little bit interesting yeah okay i'll do normal wave sure should i do wave spam like that oh that might be evil and i also want to do one of these gaps as well i feel like that's possible no no my frames are dropping no now we have 5 900 objects i'm going to shift that over a little bit just so you have a little bit more time to react as the wave yeah it's so weird because this does not look that hard at all but like because it's all fixed hitboxes it's so difficult like i'm struggling big time with this like especially even this part like this part shouldn't be that hard in theory right but oh my god it's so difficult what i might even do is do something like that if i just do that as straightfly that's probably still going to be like impossible it's a lot more doable i might leave it at that yeah i'm gonna make this normal gravity because i want the difficulty to be in the hit boxes not the upside down gravity of the wave right oh my god so i think i'm gonna have this being the full challenge and before i do that i'm gonna decorate it a little bit again not too much effort is going to go into this but a little bit a little bit okay there we go i've altered this gameplay a little bit just so it cuts off but like a little bit more of a climactic note i guess you could call it i think for these i'm just going to do pillars down using these blocks here maybe here what i can do is make it go into the 1.0 block kind of style like so and screw it i we need another one of these structures so i'm just going to do this in here okay now of course this isn't going to fit with this background here we got to make this a dark red yeah i wasn't gonna do pulses but now i'm like really tempted so i'm gonna do some can't help myself all right five six seven seven so one two three four five six seven select all of these and align x and that should do it perfectly on the beat more or less here and then we'll make this white make it fade out of 0.6 maybe and then put one of these scale it down make it group one so it's invisible like so okay and then beyond that i might just go ahead and do like giant black glow in the foreground because i don't know that's what i really have a hankering to do right now so this all to group two group two is going to be half opacity right off the bat like so just so it's not as you know not as annoying and then group two will go to zero opacity in 0.1 when you get to the end okay couple things um first of all the ground and one last thing is i'm going to select all of these saw blades here and then make them slow rotation because you know you gotta do it 30 the golden number right there the only issue i see is a bit of glow being not on the screen so what i'm going to do is i'm going to copy paste this shift this up put this in group three but i also need that to be in group two so that'll instantly shift 10 down and five to the left so like that so you can see it's behind the level now and that should make the transition a little bit smoother right i think yeah and the last thing i'm gonna do is just select all of this don't fade and don't enter yeah there we go cool can't believe i polished this so much okay all right let's restart here and let's try and verify this then oh god i'm a little bit scared not gonna lie and if we turn hitboxes on you can see the little red outline on the spikes perfectly matched to the spikes which is good i'm gonna try and practice the wave part first of all because the wave part is really hard that honestly might be my best bet just spamming my way through the whole thing oh 59 i forgot to spam damn it no oh my god it's so hard it's so hard like that would normally be super duper trivial like within regular hitboxes but with the fixed hitboxes it's so much harder it's actually surprising how much more difficult it is right oh 60 damn it i think i got a lag spike as well uh maybe not a lag spike as much as just like a bit of lag yes okay oh my god that challenge is a little bit ridiculous i'm not even gonna lie to you 86 attempts 471 in total wow although this is the same level that i was like testing the straight flying stuff in so this is a 10 count not really that accurate right that's a very bold claim but i'm pretty sure it's the most accurate hitboxes ever made in gd i don't think anybody's made more accurate hitboxes than that right so yeah boom i'm going to upload this and uh i'll allow copy sure share level alright let's go there's the id if you want to go and play this for yourself and uh yeah you know what windy landscape could be very interesting with this so let's try windy landscape so i'm gonna slowly go through and replace all of the spikes with these fixed hitbox spikes here and i think this could be very interesting to see how we go [Music] okay i'm gonna keep it there i'm going to do it up to this triple spike and let's see how we go with this that's so much less forgiving oh lord oh the next part i'm so scared about the next part oh god that's like frame perfect almost probably oh man [Music] i'm gonna hop into practice i really really want to do this beginning part here because i feel like i could do it it's just really difficult man you gotta is that physically impossible uh-oh okay that's physically possible can i make it out of there you can survive that oh my god you can survive that that's so difficult okay let's see if i can do it from here that's ridiculous oh my god i might have to nerf that ever so slightly because that is so impossible i really don't want to nerf it but i'm gonna have to i'm gonna shift that down by one and this down by two i think yeah just to make it that little bit more forgiving right yeah yeah that's a little bit nicer oh my god that though hey i survived nice okay well let's try and go from zero i really want to get this whole like part in one go it might take me a little while but i really really want to do it oh man oh 10 okay that's a good start oh 11 no right at the end of the triple oh man hey nice okay let's see how far i can get then ah 26 okay that is just about it for this video i guess i really hope you enjoyed it i thought it was kind of an interesting was that the tech cube that just went past yeah this is a really cool and unique concept um i have seen people do it before but not using this strategy with you know making the blocks or making the spikes rather negative scale right i've seen people use like small objects to try and recreate it as accurately as possible but i've never seen it be quite this accurate right and yeah that's going to be just about it for this
