General Booth's Prophecies Now Being Fulfilled | Episode # 1092| Perry Stone

[Music] [Music] i want to welcome you to the manifest telecast and today's program is very unique and special i'm going to be sharing with you a dream and some actually say it was a vision that general booth had that absolutely all points of this vision which happened many many years ago are taking place right now now let's get right into this because you see the name general booth over to the side of my shoulder who was this man called general booth general william booth was founder of what we now know today as the salvation army and you are familiar with the salvation army during the holiday season especially around christmas when they have the pots sitting outside of the stores ringing bells raising money to help not only poor people but they come through during times of great disaster reliefs and earthquakes and things of this nature general booth originally named his movement that he started the christian revival society and he was pastoring a church but he saw the need in the inner city of so many poor kids and poor people that he left the pastoring of the church to go on the streets and to minister to the people feeding them and clothing them and helping them and formed this great organization which is called a relief organization that exists today now general booth received and i hope i have the time to cover all of these i'll try to make them as brief as possible in my commentary but he received what was called six prophetic warnings about what the condition of christianity and the church would be toward the time of the end of course prior to the time of christ's return that's what we allude to when we talk about the end time or the time of the end so let's get started with these immediately the first thing that general booth saw was this he said there will be politics without god what he meant by that was that the western government that we have in america would come to the point where they would have absolutely have no fear of god whatsoever there was a time and most of you can remember this when whether a person was a democrat or republican let's say if you're older you're in your 60s 70s or 80s you know what i'm saying that they had a belief in god they respected christianity they respected the bible and many of the individuals even in washington attended church today the opposite is completely true very little bible reading if any very little church attendance so basically we find out that we're living in a day that general boots saw that there would be politics without god involved in fact the big phrase today is separation of church and state and see there are people that it's not really an issue of keeping uh the christianity out of the government what they want is god out of the government so we have come to this point now i want to give you a warning that when leaders of a nation that is a covenant nation based on scripture begin to turn away from the almighty god the way that ancient israel did on numerous occasions they are given over i should say the country is given over to what is called the wrath of abandonment and that is when god lifts his hedge and abandons abandons the the nation not his people not the believers not those that know him because there's always a remnant separated out of the unbelief or the unbeliever such as in the time of noah and the days of sodom and gomorrah but the the unbelieving ungodly he abandons the leadership and so people begin to suffer because there has been what's called the wrath of abandonment and of course that's another message number two this is something else he saw that really is quickens into my spirit because i see it today in what we call some of the mega church pastors and preachers he said there will be at the time of the end preaching on heaven without the preaching on hell now we need to understand something that most of america's preaching today is what i call a need deed or seed driven in other words the ministers preached to the needs of the people they preached for the purpose of christianity or causing people to be inspired to do deeds and there are some that are just on what we call quote unquote the prosperity gospel if it's a seed a seed a seed so most of the preaching today follows under need deed and seed however if we look at the scripture and we look at what the scripture warned us about the last days about the seducing spirits about people being ungrateful and thankful and holy what we have is what i call a toothless christianity we have messages that have no bite to them we have messages that have no sting of conviction to them and my friend mira morello i heard him talk about that christianity today is christian light you know it's uh it's lighter and less filling so you hear messages that really don't uh stir the spirit they don't convict the spirit they don't lead a sinner to repentance because why there is absolutely little if any preaching on the afterlife everything is about you know success now living now having everything now and yet the bible says we live 70 to 80 years by reason of strength and many people live less than that and many live longer than that but the point is there's a time limit to live and yet we focus everything in this life and not the afterlife now hell is mentioned 54 times in the bible and jesus made it clear that it's better to uh to discipline your body radically than it would be to end up in hell when things when when this life is over so folks there's only two places a human spirit goes after death according to scripture you either go to paradise which is located in the third heaven where your soul and spirit will await the resurrection of the righteous and that place is named in second corinthians chapter 12 verses 1 through 5 or you will go to hell which is mentioned 54 places in the bible which are huge chambers underneath the earth under the crust of the earth according to the bible hell is always down and there the soul and spirit will await in uh in a very uh horrible condition until the great white thumb judgment where god will judge the spirits of those that have departed and gone to that place showing them why they are eternally in the condition they are so we need to preach a balance of warning people about the afterlife or encouraging them to follow the covenant with jesus christ so that they will spend eternity with him in heaven and of course ruling with him on the earth for the thousand years according to revelation 20. general booth made a third prediction so number three is very important he said this there would be forgiveness without repentance now what does he mean by that well in the bible especially in the old testament and even in the new you see the word repent repent repent we find that repentance is mentioned 45 times in the singular form i'm sorry the word repent is 45 times in the singular form and repentance is 26 times in the in in that form in jonah was the one place that you read those three chapters of god calling a city to repent or the city would be gone go to severe judgment and of course nineveh repented and god spared the city of nineveh for about another 150 years until it was later destroyed by a major army now john the baptist began his ministry by saying repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand even after john's death jesus picked up on this message and repent and repent repent and repentance was a theme of the ministry of jesus christ peter on the day of pentecost told those thousands of people gathered at that festival in acts chapter 2 to repent then we discover that john in the book of revelation speaks to the churches actually it's christ speaking to the churches warning them of the necessity of them repenting now what does it mean to receive forgiveness without repentance people often say oh i'm sorry oh forgive me i shouldn't have done that or i shouldn't have said that but yet they return to the old way of gossiping again backbiting again repeating stories that they really know absolutely nothing about only based on some rumor or innuendo they have heard and so they continue in their condition without ever really repenting because repentance is actually a word that has a broader meaning than what we've been taught in the church as a matter of fact for many many years we've always heard repent and we think it means to say i'm sorry so we would go to the altars kids and we would say god i'm so sorry help me not to get him to go the next month god i'm so sorry help me not do that again and to us that was repenting however the word repent carries the connotation of actually turning teshuva teshuva is a season that we enter into usually it falls in the month of august and september on our calendar the 40 days of teshuva and shuv is the hebrew word there which means to turn or to repent so it means the season of self-examination and turning when you repent of sin it doesn't just mean to say i'm sorry many people watching me right now are in a sin cycle and what i mean by that is that you get help for a season and you go back and return to the thing you really don't want to do you sincerely don't want to do it and then you go for a period of time where you're free but then you return back to that thing again so repentance doesn't just mean to say i'm sorry that is part of it to regret your past actions but it also means to absolutely have a turning and so it's not a matter of just receiving forgiveness from the lord or receiving forgiveness from people it's a matter of changing your thinking changing your lifestyle changing your heart and you know only the lord can help you do that but that is true repentance so general booth warned there would be people that would be getting forgiveness but they're not repenting or changing their lifestyle at all the the fourth prophecy that general booth gave was this they would be salvation without regeneration now so many people claim that they are christians some even use the phrase i am born again however what is regeneration well if i were to translate the word regeneration into a contemporary word it would be to read gene to change the dna to change the dna uh this or the genes of a person now we know what genes are dna is it's in the human cell the the human body and it's what makes you what you are the color of your eyes the color of your hair the shape of your face your hands your finger and everything about you is based on the dna that comes down from generations in your family lineage and so when we talk about regeneration it is god redoing you inside not necessarily changing your liver and your pancreas and your intestines but number one changing your thinking to think the thoughts of scripture and the covenant and the bible and god and number two is to change your heart because the bible says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked who can know it so the heart problems we have today are not just physical the heart problems we have today are spiritual issues and so you need a regeneration a regening a changing of the mind and the heart now how does that come it comes through the gift of salvation or the gift of repenting of your sins to god and so many times we have people that have gone to an altar and said a sinner's prayer but they they actually performed a ritual action and did not really repent in their heart here's what the bible says godly sorrow worketh repentance now what that means is this that when you are truly sorry for things that you have done and you repent to god and ask him that the blood of jesus cover your sin forgive you and cleanse you then what happens is there's a spiritual work it's very supernatural that is done in your life when you truly by faith mean what you said and said what you meant god goes to work inwardly because a lot of our problems that we see manifesting outwardly are actually rooted inside jesus even said it this way he talked about out of the abundance of the heart proceeds murders adultery fornication lying in of the like in other words the actions that we do on a daily or a consistent basis are actually birthed inwardly before they are manifested outwardly and the only way that a person can change is through asking christ to enter into a covenant with him of redemption to receive forgiveness of their sins and for god to for not only forgive that person but cleanse them from all unrighteousness so general booth said there would be salvation without regeneration meaning there would be people that would go through the ritual of a prayer but they would never be truly changed now i know you're a christian by two three things number one because you love one another number two because you produce spiritual fruit and number three because you are changed from the previous actions to brand new actions of following the lord the bible says it this way if any person or it says any man but that's any person would be in christ they are a new creation old things are passed away and all things are become new so that's the fourth warning that general booth gave the fourth warning again is salvation without regeneration now the fifth thing that general booth said was very significant he said that there would come a time at the time of the end when there would be religion without the holy spirit now there's actually a verse in the bible that indicates that is going to happen it's found in second timothy chapter 3 and verse 5. it talks about that in the last days that men would have a form of godliness but they would deny the power thereof they have a form of godliness which is like saying a form of religion as some translations say but deny the power now the word power here in the greek is the word dunamis and it's the same word found in acts chapter 1 and verse 8 that reads this way that you shall receive power after that the holy spirit comes upon you that word there is dunamis and it actually is a word in greek that refers to miraculous supernatural ability or miraculous supernatural power we would say it refers to the power of the holy spirit that works miracles and miraculous events to demonstrate the power of the gospel so what did the apostle paul say this is the last letter he wrote in the in in the scripture that's recorded it's actually the last letter he wrote before he was beheaded in rome paul was saying this that you're going to come to a time in the end when people are going to have a form of religion they will go through the ritual they may attend a service but they will deny it didn't say they wouldn't experience because as an outpouring of the spirit in the last days you can experience whatever you want from the lord he said they would deny say it does not exist the dunamis of god now this is sad to say but there are entire denominations in the united states some of them are very strong for example in the state of parts of georgia especially in the state of alabama that are very strong in what's called the cessationism ideology or doctrine now what that word means is that the gifts of the spirit have ceased and their belief is that the nine gifts of the spirit especially the miraculous and power gifts and vocal gifts that's all of them by the way all nine were for a previous time or a previous generation and are no longer valid today now my friend though those people that attend those churches are having a form of godliness they go through the ritual they go through the choir music the singing uh they go through the preaching but they have no power because they deny the power of god now i'm going to say something to you if i were to and i know i know before i make this statement let me preface it by saying this that i know that in many places especially parts of the midwest and the west that when you live in rural areas and very very small towns there's not a great selection of churches for you to go to and attend and some people do their home bible studies a lot of people use our own material for small groups in their bible studies which i'm grateful for that but there are places that people say perry i'm an hour to an hour and a half from the from the largest city near me where there is an actual church that would would practice the presence and power of god but if you're in an area where they have many churches and you attend a place that denies the holy spirit that denies the power of god you are limiting the blessings that god can bring into your life and your family's life and i'm just going to make a suggestion find somewhere where the power of god is being activated where the spirit of god is moving i know right here in cleveland tennessee we have what's called ramp cleveland and ramp is just the name of a ministry that was formed by karen wheaton but every tuesday night at the omega center international building we have a service that starts at 6 30. and i have never seen a dead service there i've never seen a dry service there the music is powerful praise and worship that directs us to the presence of god and there's various speakers i preach there once a month dr cutshall preaches there occasionally karen wheaton comes tim wood i'm sorry t michael wood comes i call him after his dad's name and we have great preach from the greatest steady preaching pastor samuel preaches uh there and and uh host host the facility and so i'm saying to you if you've got places in towns where you can attend where the power of god is operative and there's altar services do that because you're going to have to have the power of god in these last days now the sixth thing and i'm glad i was able to get all six of these predictions in that general booth head of the salvation army saw many many many years ago because you can tell these are older pictures that we have behind us he said there would be in the last days a christianity without christ a christianity without christ and some would say this way a christianity without the cross i heard a story and it's true of a very large congregation that was going to buy a facility and they were purchasing that facility from two different businessmen and both of these particular businessmen that owned the large facility were of another religion and in the agreement of building the building or i'm sorry selling this large facility to this christian church they requested that the pastor never put a cross up on the outside of the church because a cross happened to be offensive to both of these two men based on their own religious beliefs and of course there was an agreement made for that now while a cross is a symbol and it's not always important to put a cross up identifies it as a christian church it identifies with christianity we should never be embarrassed of the cross of the christ folks paul said this i don't want to know anything else among you save christ and him crucified the bible said tells us that the foolishness of preaching the cross or the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that perish in other words those who do not believe in the power of redemption through the blood of christ and his death on the cross it's foolish to even talk about the cross but i'm going to tell you what i believe the power of god unto salvation is found through the sufferings of christ the beating that he took on his back is for your stripes and with his stripes you were healed and then we discovered that the cross and the crucifixion took care of our redemption and the covenant that we have with him through his blood i believe that there must be in these last days a restoration of truth and i'm talking about real truth from the bible not opinion not theological discourse but actual preaching from the word of god i've been preaching now for 46 years i've never compromised any area of the scripture i've never compromised the name of jesus the word of god the power of the holy spirit the gifts of the spirit i've never compromised the word of prophecy that jesus is coming back again and i say that for the glory of god has it been easy absolutely not we have as many uh critics as we do people who love our ministry but that just comes with the territory that doesn't bother me in the least bit because i'm not going to answer to my critics one day i will answer to the lord for the doctrine i taught and for the gospel which i presented to you and that's why i want to be a truth seeker and i'll never ever compromise the word of god to you or anyone else i minister to i believe what god said i believe he said it i believe he meant it and i believe the bible is the inspired word of the lord and i want to say this about your pastors and teachers that minister to you if you find teachers and ministers and pastors or evangelists such as myself and you find that they are truth men and they stand true to the word of god that's who you put your support behind that's who you pray for that they will remain strong and powerful and continue their voice in the earth in these last days we're living in the time of the end
