FSR 3 FG Mod Comparison LukeFZ vs PureDark Red Dead Redemption 2 on Legion GO #fsr3 #rdr2 #legiongo

[Music] hello everybody Welcome to the channel today let's take a look at Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Lenovo Legion go gaming handheld so what I'm going to do is I'm going to play the game natively like I am right now and I'll show you what it's like and then I'm going to install FSR 3.0 frame generation mod so I've got two of those one is by pure dark and one is by Luke FC both are currently paid mods but um I'll test them out and you can see which one's better I think pure dark's one is better right now but um Luke FC's one is like promising I hope it gets fixed and it might be better in the future so right now I'm in St Dene like the hardest City I think this is the hardest part of the game to run so natively I'm getting like 30 FPS you can see on the top left corner I've got the FPS counter you can see I'm using the steam decks like in game overly because the Lenovo Legion goes counter the FPS counter it's not working for me I use used like I installed a custom GPU driver and yeah messed that up I think lenover knows about it hope it gets fixed but uh yeah the like custom driver was recommended to me by my like friend fellow YouTuber deck wizard I think you already know him if you don't he's very popular he's more popular than me at least um and I'll leave his like Channel details in the description you can pay him a visit so he does videos for steam deck l Legion go Rog Ally stuff like that so yeah go check him out he's been helping me with the Lenovo Legion go I'm pretty new at this I'm a newbie all right so yeah I think you know what it's like on the like natively check out my settings don't really have any High settings okay let me move my camera okay so resolution I'm at 1080p uh triple buffering is off and quality preset it's all the way to the left so it's the lowest I've just bumped up the texture quality to ultra and anistropic filtering to * 8 that's all I changed and then FSR I put it on quality okay so that's my settings my settings with my camera and yeah I think that's about it so I'll go and install maybe I'll install pure dark mod first so I'll show you what it's like so I'll see you soon okay so I just installed pure dark FSR 3 frame generation mod you can see here I'm using FSR 3 upscaling and enable frame generation right so the mod is on right now and I'm in Sy the KN you can see like the FPS counter I'm getting like 60 FPS I get more on handheld mode like it's because I'm connected to to a capture card so uh if I'm just on the Lenovo Legion go I get like 70ish frames and like one thing to notice is we don't get any UI flickering so yeah that's good the graphics looks fine I think there's a little bit of ghosting like just a little bit so if I turn the camera around like this you can see on the left hand side of the screen like a little bit of ghosting and on the character as well just slightly uh you don't really notice it it's just at the sides of the screen so the left and the right hand side of the screen if you turn the camera like this there's a little bit of ghosting and I did mention this to pure dark I don't think it can be fixed he mentioned that like in higher frame rates so if you're playing this on a computer and you've got over 100 frames you don't really notice it uh it's because we're on 60 FPS on a gaming handheld that's why it's noticeable but really slightly so if it is really good like I think this is the best way if you want like 60 FPS and you're playing on a gaming handheld this is the best way to do it with a the2 um yeah settings is the same so like the graphic preset is all the way to the left and I've just maximized the graphic textures to ultra and the anex so pick like filtering to time 8 all right so that's all I did and I've just enabled pure dark's FSR 3 frame generation mod so yeah very good St Dene 60 FPS okay let's go and install Luke FC's mod and let's test that out too okay so before we go any further I'd like to introduce you to my secondary channel do have like UI flickering all right very noticeable the mini map and the subtitles but uh we're in s Dene we still get 60 FPS so the mod is working I think it's because it doesn't have frame Generation Um this game doesn't have built-in frame generation so like look FC has to like fix these games like game by game uh I'm pretty sure he'll fix this game so we have to wait if you press the start button in the menu we do have some artifacts and yeah settings is the same so if we go to Graphics uh okay let me move my camera okay so still 1080p um triple buffering off so the quality preset is all the way to the left and yeah texture quality I set to ultra an anistropic filtering that's very hard to pronounce okay times 8 yeah so yeah pretty much everything is the same okay and yeah like we don't really get ghosting uh not that I can really notice but uh yeah it's just the UI flickering so like in my opinion if you're uh playing Red Dead Redemption 2 portably on a gaming handheld uh if you're using FSR 3 mod go with pure darks right now but I don't think that'll get like updated anymore like I think that's pretty much the final form but for Luke FC's mod keep an eye out on it it's going to like improve so once you figure out how to you know fix the UI flickering um I think there won't be any ghosting as well so this might be the better form like in the future but that's just speculation but right now I think pure duck has the win here and yeah I just hope Luke FC fixes it soon so we can compare it and I'm glad that we have like competition that's I think it's friendly I don't think it's like any rivalry but like the more moders doing FSR 3 mods the better for us Gamers so yeah this is this is really really really good oh I'm going to crash okay I almost crashed into that guy so let me change back the camera and let's just like go around St Dene and yeah I've been really enjoying the lover Legion go so if I play Red Dead Redemption to portably on a gaming handheld now oops now that I have the legion go yeah I think I'll like play it more on the legion go because of the better graphics and you know if I'm not playing for a long time I'll go for like the legion go if I'm playing for a long time if I plan to like play two or 3 hours yeah I'll probably stick with the Steve deck because it's more comfortable to hold but yeah both gaming handhelds really really good very promising and I'm really excited for the future of like gaming on handheld you know I don't have time to see in front of a monitor and watch TV stuff like that so I
