FROM A VERY BUSY CASTLE TO THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE IN ENGLAND

[Music] so [Music] there's hermione and dumbledore good morning from anne castle hello sammy you might recognize this castle because it starred as franchise castle in downton abbey yeah what cinder bee had his shooting party here and lady mary was here with her fiancee bertie and yeah yeah but the truth is it's the 11th century castle and because it's the second largest inhabited castle you can visit the state rooms but you can't film in there yeah yeah we just been and they are huge yeah i especially like the pictures there were two pictures from canaletto um really really nice and you know my favorite bit was the dining room with all the silver and crystal but i couldn't live in there no it's too big in the dining room the plates were empty so nothing to eat that's true well it's a very touristy place but i think it's still worth a visit yes and it's big it's so big well we film a bit for you of course yeah and hope you like it yes and the weather is just amazing sunny and dumbledore just said hello to us as well yeah i think the bailey was used for quidditch yes so harry had his first quidditch lesson here yes quite interesting [Music] i'm just curious to know what exactly lady edith walked around when her parents came to visit her and her fiancee bertie do you know no remember the scene no i can't remember anything i do but i don't know the spot and i just read that um the scene where harry potter did the quidditch practice yeah was filmed outside the castle yeah between the river and the castle with the castle so somewhere over there yeah just outside the castle yeah but the more tired i get and that's not because i'm unfit because i'm wearing a very tight cord and believe me doing this in a corset is not easy so i'm going to slow it down and my beloved [Music] we stop for tea and in this building you will find dumbledore and hermione and the sorting hat everybody who knows how to cope who knows about who doesn't it's lovely for children and there was a couple next to us and the man said this is so perfect for children and his wife was like not just for children i think you're never too old for harry potter no the books are really good the books are great and i think we watch harry potter every year during the christmas period it's always so nice this is vegan carrot cake interested to know how it tastes jack this is the spot where children have broomstick lessons and i think it's going to start any minute now i just discovered something yeah yeah all the landscape around us was transformed by capability brown as always yeah in the 1770s he was huge i wonder how many people he had employed back in the day a lot but you know what what we need to say is we arrived very early this morning which was the best idea it's so busy now and we booked the very first time slot to see the staterooms and we were basically on our own which was really good it was when you see it now i find it awful because the the cue is yeah and you're probably rushed through yeah we had time to look at bob's picture then yeah i think it was just amazing i do prefer a smaller country house but i wouldn't mind having a dinner there in their huge dining room in the state rooms yeah just for the experience won't ever happen yes but it could be nice it could be with all the silver and i guess the food's really good i bet but we would have to buy clothes so yeah it would be an expensive dinner yeah now we couldn't go naked that's not good it is a tiny bit too touristy for us it was nice to see but yeah what do you think yeah yeah it's nice but too many people too many people yeah we're not used to that no we're not used to it we really like it i don't know a bit more chilled yeah [Music] jack looked up dunstenborough castle on the internet it's a ruin and we popped the car here in caster yeah a small village and it's 12 degrees celsius it's not as the weather forecast said i changed my clothes nothing matches but doesn't matter i don't care right now nothing you can do it's beautiful though but i can't believe that we actually had a picnic plan for today it wouldn't be possible well i usually don't wear the hat like that but i will lose it with the wind otherwise i'm jealous of your cat right now strange i think yesterday we had about 23 degrees celsius and today 12 degrees so chilly can you see the ruin so i can't believe it the walk from the car park to the ruin here is about a mile and it's very nice not bad at all on the country we really left the fresh air oh now you can see the room a lot better hang on you can see the ruin a lot better now and it's right next to the sea so i would imagine if the weather is lovely the views are quite incredible you know what i think this weather and the ruin has quite a bit of an atmosphere [Music] so yeah we couldn't fly the drone because first of all it's not allowed no this property belongs to english heritage the ruin yeah so they don't allow it and second the wind it's really weird it's too dangerous but still it's really beautiful and we just saw seagulls and where they missed yes yes very interesting yeah and nobody was there that was very nice so on a sunny day with good views oh then i must say i really like this weather as well yes we look disheveled well at least maybe not but it's fine it's got something the fog and ruins yeah atmosphere and our friends are here as well and they really seem to enjoy it we're not even at the car park yet and when we're there we will have walked 16k today which is great because we love exercising and it's one of those days where you don't have to worry and can eat carbs and not feel guilty about it two fish and chips yeah please from a fashionable lady yeah it's now quarter past six and it takes us about an hour to drive to her accommodation and we spotted this fish and ships truck and said we should get some fish and chips and then we don't have to cook yeah so why not fish and ships and that's the view it's 12 degrees but it's not too bad good yep we're heading to the car now and we are both freezing it's crazy compared to yesterday yeah he said i got a sunburn yeah in his face but i must say the walk to dunstan borough castle was my favorite yeah it was nice it was wonderful yeah very very foggy and mystic and we can really recommend this yeah you should do it when you're here i really loved it i believe the view on the sunny day is just stunning incredible that's what i said earlier i think so too it would have been amazing to have a picnic there yeah it didn't work out good morning what's up you're so slow come on this morning we came to house stairs yes and it's an old roman 4 which forms part of the hatreds war yeah and i think the last time we visited is three years ago and back then we had horrible weather and because we have glorious sunshine today we thought we would go on another small hike and just enjoy because it's beautiful yeah it really is so just to give you some background the hadrian's wall was built on around 120 anna domini so it's 1900 years old it's crazy and you can still see parts of it in in the countryside yeah and because it lasted for about 300 years so this four was inhabited until around 400 uh anadomini yeah it's so old and yeah really worth seeing over there is the museum that gives you a bit of background and as far as i know you can rent one of these cottages it belongs to the national trust and it's really nice [Music] let's have a break [Music] so we're halfway through now really yeah i don't know we just found a quiet spot because around the corner there are too many people yeah we don't really like that [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it was a great workout wasn't it oh yes we really liked it up and down hill it was amazing and very often i complain about the wind but i must say i was quite happy with the wind because it doesn't feel too hot the perfect temperature yeah and yeah we need to go back to cheshire now it will be between four to five hours unfortunately probably because we have bank holiday weekend so today is monday and monday's off yeah streets will be quite busy yeah but i hope we don't get a stout well we hope you liked what we filmed and we had a great well it was was it no three and a half days yes it was three and a half days yeah so it wasn't really a wonderful weekend yeah in northumberland yeah and next weekend will be another lovely weekend with our and we can share that because that will be part two of a jane austen road trip yes it'll be looking forward
