hello everybody it's thursday february 25th 2021 79 degrees fahrenheit 26 celsius in fort lauderdale florida today i'll be riding the water taxi and get close to lauderdale by the sea where i'll walk to that neighborhood and that part of the area hopefully the internet connection is fine now because this is probably my fourth time restarting this area i mean this live stream but hopefully this time is the charm so far no errors yet i restarted my phone and now it's working well so a little bit of technical issues to start the day but at least now it seems like everything is working fine let's hope it stays that way [Music] hours persistent and the live stream is finally working now all right good now it should be working well yeah i don't know what was going on before but now it's finally good and we're gonna ride a boat today i apologize for spamming people with notifications due to restarting the stream a few times but i was trying to figure out what was going on and finally it's working well so i'm coming up to uh las olas boulevard now and the riverwalk the water taxi should be pulling in soon i think it runs every half an hour the last one left at 11 and now it's 11 30. i was supposed to uh start this live stream 15 minutes earlier but hopefully i'm not late now for this boat all right am i in time for the water taxi yes i'm in time for the water taxi it just came oh wait is it just sailing past the stop that's not good either they told me it runs every half an hour all right good there's some people waiting here all right so i'm gonna be riding that boat over there the yellow one they also have the water trolley which is free to ride but this is uh not operating right now let's see the information here when's the next one coming scan qr code to find the arrival and departure times all right they have a live tracking what's going section so i'm at the first stop select stop okay uh estimated arrival is nine minutes and i don't know what this person on the bike's doing with his speaker it looks like just statics coming out of it that's gonna be annoying to listen to for a while nine minutes straighten that okay perfect all right see that there you go it's all recorded right awesome i'm gonna collect that as you get on the boat okay thank you okay i'm lucky number seven lucky number seven let me walk away from this guy with a boom box i'm gonna see the boat anyway but let's go over to this side because i don't want to constantly be hearing too that's bad so this is the start of the river walk at the first stop the riverside hotel there's also yacht tools yak yak tours here coastal yacht tours dot com what in the world was that what was that what the heck what's in there sound like it jumped on the bush or something well maybe that was a lizard of some sort like these over here the florida lizards watch how fast it moves man this one's even bigger over here they're all over the place these lizards flora doesn't have mice and rats but they have lizards all over the place man oh by the way this is the uh the back side of the riverside hotel it's a beautiful hotel i think it's been here since the early 1900s and there's their other section of the hotel all right let's uh head back over to the water taxi stop because i don't want to miss that boat over here i'm kind of far away from the d bar d part point liz c that was your nickname growing up lizard hopefully the guy with the speaker isn't here still trying to adjust the sound it looks like you turned it off good all right looks like we got a crowd here now glory asking are those lizards of the gekko i'm not sure if they're the gekko i don't even know what the difference between geckos and lizards are some lizards are geckos i guess let's see when this boat is coming let's refresh this [Music] it says the next one is coming in one minute i don't know how accurate that is but i doubt it's going to be a minute because i don't see a boat here at this instant this is a hop-on and hop-off ride so you can ride it as many times as you want after you get off this is their map over here all right so this is stop one that's gonna go here three four five six w seven eight nine ten so i'm gonna get off at 10 the bond campus beau campos i think it's called it is beau campus and then i'll walk north towards lauderdale by the sea here's all the stops riverside hotel shops and restaurants at las olas nice yeah one minute's up the taxi's not here so that countdown clock was inaccurate where i'm riding this boat to is uh four miles away units received with 20 australian dollars you love fort lauderdale you go there once a year to visit the filming locations of your favorite movie fight of the navigator flight of the navigator thank you very much for that appreciate it um so this is where i'm riding to you're going to see oops why'd i do that i uh forgot to flip the phone oh over i just messed it up where the address was oh well it looks like a short walk from the last stop to lord it all by the sea anyway i guess this doesn't depart every half an hour as they say maybe every 45 minutes so i'm not really sure zoe with five dollars thank you zoey but today we're gonna see why this area is called the venice of america the water taxi is gonna take us to all these nice places oh oh by the way i paid 28 dollars oh oh you can buy it on the boat too i thought it was p purchase but anyway it's 28 dollars for this trip it's nice i think a lot of people are gonna get off here this is the first stop [Music] oh good look at that we're definitely getting one looks like a nice boat bon bon thank you so much for the five bucks i don't think this boat's gonna be playing music i was looking at it i don't think they have the capability of playing music on this boat so we should be okay with copyright oh joan is 28 for the spoke oh yeah i guess some people decided to stay on the boat i don't think it really matters uh where in the boat you sit because it's still a good view either way [Music] hmm axel you grew up on the fort lauderdale beach nice okay oh this is gonna be fun all right thank you okay okay thank you whoa this is cool let's see where do i want to sit let me sit here oh this one worked well the cable's full this is the view what it looks like behind me you want me to go all the way to the back all right let's do that let's go all the way to the back it makes sense because i got the camera there we go i ain't afraid of some sun this is where i am now no one's like on the side of me or whatever but the problem is uh there's a sink here if anyone wants to use the sink with a the soap there then they gotta get past me but there's a better view i think this is the back of the boat which is fine let's put on wide angle we'll see there we go all right edge with 4.99 relaxing watching happy yes [Music] and this is uh what it looks like at the front we got the captain there at the steering wheel perfect [Music] man this is so relaxing hey guys welcome aboard rio vista hope you guys are having a great day it sure has beautiful weather it's almost like being air conditioned even though it's not sun is beautiful today but anyway let's get to a couple of safety announcements before we get too far underway in the rare occasion that we run into a south florida water uh iceberg and we begin to sink all the life vests in the middle compartment here real easy to lift up and not bolt it down or anything you just pick it up and grab your right back there's ones in there that kids too under a federal order because this is public transportation all the time unless you're taking a drink and by the way [Music] on board at any time or of any kind sorry i'm trying to adjust my backpack so it's a little better for me but the angle is not really uh working too well i gotta reset it there we go [Music] all right which one of you guys got on yesterday so we're gonna go in numbered order we're passing stop two right there i don't know in downtown fort lauderdale on the river and we're gonna take the river all the way out to the intercoastal and the first thing we're gonna do is head south to pick up our spots three and four on the southern end of fort lauderdale that's where we'll make a u-turn and then head parallel uh to the beach along the barrier island all the way to top 5 through 10. below our pipe and those are our beach stops and then seven is our mall eight is our state park nine and ten bunch of restaurants okay i'm pointing the outside private house okay so she doesn't want to be filming pointed outside i mean it is their boat but hey i'm just showing it just for the instructions cg jam 80. i'm glad you're enjoying the south florida thank you [Music] anthony no it was uh the person on the microphone before that's who told me so like i was saying this is a working river boat traffic our harry potter house right there that's our that's a water taxi cruise nickname for that house it's just so beautiful it's really fun at night beautifully with but it's also fun on the holidays they decorate for every single holiday my favorite that they do the best is halloween they have a giant spider coming up the wall and [Music] there's a boat coming by they have a bunch of lawn chairs that they actually put skeletons in and their eyes are all glowing red yes there we go okay [Music] so you guys have just got on in stop one this is one of the really gems of the inch iron excuse me at the downtown metroplex the new river this is the former home of wayne heizanga mr heizenga came along over here and bought the entire block then he took every single house and fused it together to make one massive escape if anybody is looking for housekeeping employment just keep in mind this particular house has over 17 bathrooms uh that is one of my favorites because mr heisenga didn't knock down all the houses so i really respect that because we've lost so much of our old fort lauderdale for the new modern look that they're going for look at that new home dispenser so this river was actually formed about 2 000 years ago when the earth split open probably in earthquakes on the first quake and exposed an aquifer that was under the ground and raised to the surface at one point in time the river was the deepest shortest river in all north america they had some areas that were as deep as 900 feet so some of the dredging projects like you can see the man-made islands they could take some of that fill and put it in the river but this is the history of fort lauderdale this is where it all began we will meet up with the intercouncil which is a federal highway for boats it's about a 3 000 mile long highway once we have yours we can stay that course for three weeks and end up in norfolk virginia without ever touching the atlantic ocean hence the name intra coastal it's on the inside of the united states the atlantic ocean is the outside there's a lot of folks over here he's our portable gas station he starts his day out with 40 000 gallons laser last super chat i saw was spencer actually 9.99 i think i addressed him already but i did it i apologize thank you it's all filled up that'll probably be somewhere around ten thousand dollars and that's just to go to miami [Music] coming up on the corner over here on the right hand side will be eventually when it's all finished that will be our most expensive mansion in fort lauderdale somewhere around 50 million dollars in change uh it is uh definitely built like a france hence the name fort lauderdale our original course was all the way back in 1908 when major lauderdale came to town with the tennessee volunteers for one reason to push the seminole indians back to the florida everglades so that side the far side the back side of the house that's the mother-in-law corner this main area that is the main that i remember i told you look sir that's like a five-year project uh that archway over there separates the mother-in-law's quarters from the main quarter that archway is the most filled with crocodiles the moat actually goes all the way around the house it's their second line of prevention on high docks but if you do get a hurricane not only can it withstand winds up to 175 miles an hour because it's poor concrete um but they gave themselves about a five to ten foot leeway if they drink high water comes through here hurricanes are definitely [Music] here's all the canals now the vanessa i was going to say venetian islands but that's miami beach this is uh all the islands near las vegas boulevard in fort lauderdale [Music] yeah we've got some drama camps [Music] and [Music] so you guys check out the white house right here this is pretty much the most fun house to talk about this is the former hutchings family estate just to have you with the famous inventor for general motors um but it is the most prime piece of real estate in fort lauderdale uh right straight in the back is the finisher replica of itself that's the detached six-bedroom guest house there's a full house there's a big giant swimming pool and then there's an authentic irish room inside there looks like a white house to be honest in washington dc except with palm trees yeah it's a little bit less big taxes on the white house upwards of 30 thousand dollars a month that's what it's going to take to live in this neighborhood you see right here and that is because of the proximity to the open ocean access straight ahead so anytime you're this close with your yacht you can be out there in whatever place in the atlantic ocean in five minutes you're gonna have a big giant property values as well as victorian property taxes so spending it that's the 17th causeway bridge that is the tallest drawbridge in the state of florida they open every half hour upon request for basically sailboats that their mass is too tall like over 55 feet and uh sometimes we get giant mega yachts obviously look around some of the yachts like steven spielberg's shot seven stories tall so they need an opening as well spielberg's got it currently worth 160 million it is for sale not because something's wrong with this he just wants a bigger vote port everglades is in the top 10 busiest ports in the entire world we are the second busiest cruise sport uh when the cruise ships are running they're not running right now oh look at that house it's all glass palm trees once we get to stop for have a look out into court everglades there's a celebrity cruise ship out there uh not only has she never had one but she is twin sister to the celebrity edge which are the two most advanced ships on the planet i particularly my preference is the edge because the edge has the only female cruise ship captain in the world her name is captain kate anybody worked up an appetite yet this place has some excellent cold beer and fish dip gator tails uh over here oh look at these yachts three fifteen three centuries insane well do you raise your hand you're getting off here is there more than two people oh okay i'm just kidding when i say that you guys we stop at everything [Music] you guys it was fine it was interesting have a great water taxi day use your tickets for discounts thanks for taking care of your crew you guys greatly appreciate it wow look at that so many mega boats there so yeah this is the size of the group right now [Music] [Music] so we're gonna head into stop number four does anybody want to get off this stuff if not we're gonna probably pick up some people see you guys just hearing that [Music] look at that there's a huge fault here [Music] i like the name of this boat endless summer [Music] by the way this is the uh bridge i think that goes over this waterway [Music] so [Music] this is a gorgeous view here [Music] okay whoa that's a cruise ship over there now you can even drive ships he's got a big license but he will take you offshore and run you up and down the coast that's 500 feet in the air if there's any thrill seekers on board he is located at stop number five of water taxi at the beginning center [Music] so [Music] see all those boats over there that is the pier 66 freeport hotel and marina um currently they are close to the public except for the but it's under renovations for about two years it was brought by a gentleman named mr joan lewis he's also got three of the top 100 yachts in the entire world according to their size we are pretty sure he got this whole entire property for 160 million so he could drop his yacht for free because he's got a 300 foot yacht that takes up that entire billionaire in all of england and he's a hotel he runs through the world collecting hotels but he's a pretty nice guy he's a humble guy older gentlemen but his one yacht that i have been telling you about there's i'll tell you a little bit about some of the capabilities that these yachts are that are that size this technology is like prius so it's not only got its 80 000 he has a fuel tank capacity he's also got a 100 million battery cells so he can go run as fuel for a nautical distance of 5000 miles when he runs out of fuel you can switch the battery over and do another 5 000 nautical miles so all in all 10 000 we don't actually go into the uh the canals there are those 80 fuel thousand capacity it costs 1 million just to fill it up i mean i've got a v6 and i've cursed that something so i'll tell you a little bit about this neighborhood over here at uh it one point in time back in the seventies it was really really fun i mean this was 40 cents right fans they wanted to come to this neighborhood they heard about it uh the green roof belonged to mark griffin over here this flat roof was rocky marciano bert reynolds and jackie gleason had a place back in there sonny and cher they owned a place right out here on the water the man held sisters dinah short and barbara strike they have lived right back here on this side and they would all gather at the pier 66 for sunday brunch where when that was a restaurant and it spun around overlooking the ocean and everything like that and eventually the paparazzi found them so they had to kind of to the east that's where we'll and i highly recommend both those stocks today in fact that would probably walk from stock five to stop six um because it's kind of like the most beautiful day it happened since january first that's top five there's coconuts bose beach and public on shrimp company and then it's top six when you walk along the way there's all kinds of shopping sunglasses surfboards uh bathing suits some sunscreen i think i'm getting off at stop that's the one that's the furthest before [Music] slow down saying perfect extreme good quality thank you it took me a while to set this up finally happy now that's a good connection so [Music] i like this home over here they got a nice big waterfront property there big lawn in the back this yellow one too has unique palm trees take a look at that um man they also own this boat too there's an insane looking boat that has [Music] auntie i think we can cool it now with the tour guide of the boat so this is already overwhelming as we're headed to the beach which is directly ahead this is the largest home in fort lauderdale look over there to the right hand side of the boat that street courthouse with that beautiful orange baroque roof is somewhere around thirty two thousand square feet every place that's included in that it's occupied by all these two people what you're looking at there is just the backyard let's see right alongside if you look through the arc please you're going to see a courtyard before because on the other side of the courtyard in another the episode that live there mr and mrs stan altman and they are just exceptional people they're very lovely people uh they were entrepreneurs and uh you may have heard of things like sunglass hut or perhaps mario makeup green because that solar panel rooftop there basically he does not get an electric bill absolutely zero um he is a 77 year old bachelor if you are at a restaurant in downtown los angeles and you basically hear someone talking about their sculpture garden that's your cue that's when you know some of you might remember a really famous name named johnny weissmuller that was tarzan tells that cape cod style house that you see right there now he would swim to work he would jump out this dock and swim over to the international filming hall came that's one of his uh places that he worked and found in as well he helped us through that all the way from the beginning he's gonna let this side pull back in there and also here on billionaires row is my house which is right there the right one with the black windows so yeah that was in seven episodes of miami vice so that's why it's probably one of my favorites uh the cigarette butts and all those guys would uh but it is a one bedroom mansion which is all i needed one different [Music] you can see all those big giant beautiful yachts coming into view that's where i suggest you uh pick out your yacht otherwise the further north we get the odds get a little bit smaller if you guys are looking for a target now see the amaryllis right here with this beauty she's also in the top 100 gallons in the entire world just a magnificent over [Music] she has a full-time crew of somewhere between 27 and 31 people and again 80 000 gallon fuel tank capacity what that means is these guys can make it from here everywhere all the way over to the mediterranean without stopping in the bahamas the caribbean or the airport uh and the parts that they carry in case they you know royal gas down here there's the yacht yard over here there's basically another cruise uh fruit uh yeah inside that yacht right there they have to take all that stuff with them do you guys like going out on cruise ships seven days five meals a day beautiful itineraries you're surrounded by five thousand other people goodness it's about eighteen hundred dollars per person you don't have to these boats must cost like tens of millions of dollars if you don't wanna be surrounded by 5000 additional people you can still go out to the caribbean for seven days but you get to help make your itinerary and your menu check out the never enough right there you guys five guest room five get five guest room suites accommodating 10 guests so nine additional people including yourself 15 to 18 people i have the camera zoom all the way out i still can't get it in the whole picture and that will run you 500 000 for the week [Music] man man i guess stop by the expensive yachts [Music] yeah i saw that pelican oh okay you guys are gonna check out this is pulling in know oh you went on the jungle queen uh that's awesome i'm dating food on the jumbo queen there [Music] that's a fireball over there oh my gosh we're gonna get another view of the yachts on this side this water taxi is well worth the money for the views [Music] and here's the amarillo cherokee this uh water taxi was 28 it's a hop-on and pop-off received so that antique that you see back over there is actually a replica something that used to be real mysterious and go down the nile if i'm not mistaken it's actually a trinity out which is way here in the usa if you can uh get another look just look past the amaryllis right here but three honors ago was a guy named johnny depp two owners a bill was a lady named jk rowley found he sold that boat that is all hand varnished i don't know who the current owner is um but he's got really good paint because the inside of that yacht is spectacular on a hand carve and everything like that wow more boats coming up right in the middle smack down in the center of the working channel we've got all this space over here all that space over there yeah so check out the gallant lady right here this is uh see the gold lettering there that says friendship that is by far uh the most outstanding yapping painting here in the yachting industry that ships are classified as the rolls-royce of the yachting industry they're all handmade custom-made specifically to suit your taste so they're a four-year process and all you guys if it's coming up on your 50th anniversary you want to do something spectacular in order to get the ball rolling for a fed ship like gallant lady right there the only thing you need is a 60 million dollar cash down here non-refundable they will take four years to build that beautiful boat for you uh and then after the end of the four years you're going to need the additional 40 million but here's the good news they will deliver exceed but the gallant lady happens to be forever they'll show him all the odds we have here and that is because it is owned by the jim moran corporation there are actually two government ladies and they are just a billion dollars ladies four hours for a dinner party in the intercoastal school buy quite a few houses [Music] this is his place of work is the fort lauderdale international swimming hall of fame the rooftop funny-looking rooftop you see over there that looks like ocean waves that is your landmark for when you want to go to my favorite restaurant the whole entire city called coconuts coconuts is right down this waterway here exactly halfway between size five and six yeah that's uh you know my family comes into town and i always say where do you want to go eat and you know what i'm like they say look at this and i'm like do you not want to try something else and they're like why just take us for coconuts before we're happy yeah i try to get there myself my secret is get there between 3 p.m and 4 p.m because i don't like i don't mind waiting an hour but not under pandemic and then because you have to you know belly up at the bar uh but they also have only so much see the reason i like it is because they have fresh fish but he only gets so many pieces of fish like you have three times every day putting us against like 20 40 60 pieces when he runs out of that 20 pieces he stopped reaching into the freezer okay when the fix is done the dish is done that's why i actually go there three and four in the afternoon at least four times for the elbow room at night and i'm not doing the yellow room and damage right now either also for my bridge this bridge going overhead is the very first bridge ever built in fort lauderdale stretching from mainland to the barrier island over here now you know all these historical things they have their sagas and their mysteries well there was uh the original bridge that was here uh was a sling bridge and i don't know how many cars were actually here or made back then um but between the boats and the cars they would all agree because that swing would take so long so one night it was seriously burnt down so they replaced it with this cement structure but the the uh when that wasn't there what was in operation very automobiles and people from the mainland over here to the barrier island with the delta queen was an original ferry boat and our very first tour boat in the city of fort lauderdale established in 1949. the multi-color building right there is marriott beach place that is our stop number six this is where you're gonna get all your uh uh beach going supplies towels frisbees uh surfboards all kinds of kooka shells if you guys think about it over here in fort lauderdale we custom make our t-shirts so you can go to one of our t-shirt shops over there and pick out your divine and there'll be one page supplies you can go there and you can uh get a five dollars so much and if it says fort lauderdale beach you can take it home and wash it once and once and then it'll always say beach so that makes it an international t-shirt yeah i wouldn't want a t-shirt like that i want something that i love it has all kinds of walking and real peachy food like duncan taco and peach pizza now the drunken taco right here is very good if you're drunk all right you guys just remain seated we're gonna pull in this top six over here does anybody want to get off this stuff six big one two three thanks you guys for riding with us all the crews are pretty unique we all have our crazy personality so you guys enjoy your water taxi day thanks a lot for taking care of your crew as well definitely appreciate it [Music] thank you so much not sure look at that there's a yacht pulling in now i'm not getting off now i'm getting off at stop 10. [Music] [Music] [Music] so if you look straight across there's a few more um beautiful mansions once we get out into the working channel i'll tell you a little bit about them [Music] see you guys uh see the house with the double twisted columns over there back in the 80s remember when ted turner and jane fonda were married carrie anne thank you for the two minutes thanks [Music] yeah they were happily married for the longest time and then they got a divorce but at the time their next door neighbor was over here and under the green roof nick nolte and he was really really really really crazy he you can find him on fort lauderdale beach every single day every single day till about noon that's because he was sitting upright in the morning on the bar school and then at noon not so much um but i liked him i mean he was the friendliest guy ever you know uh but he got into some trouble here but the one thing that he did here in fort lauderdale was help us implement 7 a.m happy hour on fort lauderdale b you can't beat that i like this problem here i probably walked by here already yeah i did so there's three bodies of water out here the two of the long rivers and then this one's in the inner coastal the intercostal is saltwater the two rivers are freshwater and they have their origin over there in everglades national park which is also called freshwater wow look at that one that one kind of looks like it has a curve to it there's a crane up there so there's any construction let's see that's the river right there this is the middle river now it literally divides fort lauderdale tied in half against the name middle river um so you've got the hats behind us and the have knocks in front of us and i mean sincerely because these homes are worth 30 million and those guys we call this [Music] section is the yellow mansion coming into view across the middle river over there you can get a better view about here in just a second belongs to jay leno oh mr leno [Music] thank you i don't think he's a new york guy yellow mansion's coming up soon there it is i think that's jay leno's house so i was really hoping at the beginning of my day that i would see some sea life out here today i know yesterday over uh by the port there was some dolphins they were having peace off two areas oh really can you see dolphins supposed to go dolphins ed duncan thanks for taking these tours so i don't have to appreciate it for some manatees as of last friday our council is 484. uh and slowly those are good numbers um this time of year slowly they start heading north to tampa where the the way they lord is they're also migratory so they come down here when the water up there is too cold then they go up there when the water down here is too warm their average their happiness is 76 degrees so there's two things that stop seven one is the galleria mall which they have uh like i'm not really a mall person i don't really spend any kind indoors except to sleep at night so we have the sawgrass mall which is an elephant hall 15 miles away oh i was there on my first day getting a breeze in there i mean we've got florida's largest parking lot and there's never an empty space this one is the galleria it's not only elegant and beautiful but there's plenty of elbow roads there's your heartbeat that signals great getting rid amazon their stuff at about 50 to 75 discounts and we have a macy's and this macy's over here is awesome but one of the things i like about this mall is they've got a great food court the other thing is at this stop is the bonnet house that green space you see right there with no building inside there is 40 acres of botanical gardens in a 100 year old home [Music] i'll talk you are reporting coming out and they come out every friday for fun but what they do is clean them entire intercoastal um just because it's just something they want to do if you come out with this tomorrow you'll see it with me [Music] playing while you're washing on your 86-inch [Music] that vegetation there is called mangroves see those uh roots they actually thrive in salt water mangroves and ended up they used to cut them down like terrible horrible ugly weeds and you know it was like not attractive and they didn't understand the purpose nor the function turns out to be the most important vegetation on the planet that's because those roots act as close to 180 species of fish before they go out to become giant school deficient to feed the planet and then the treetops there is over 100 species of migratory birds we are halfway between canada and mexico [Music] anybody for stop seven today okay all you guys are staying on until tomorrow okay so uh we'll look and see if anybody wants to go if not we'll head up to the top eight and then i know you guys are probably working up an appetite nine and ten is gonna be restaurant row i'll talk about that when we get a little bit closer okay [Music] [Music] [Music] oh that was a rough stop there lots of people sunbathing here so thank you [Music] mhm [Music] so all right three more stops left eight nine and ten i'm getting off [Music] this is a great view too beautiful view [Music] i'm gonna get a shot at this [Music] [Music] here's the other water taxi going south [Music] so the bargain yachts are right here you guys these are actually this is actually the last of the big boat marinas uh big bug beans basically 85 feet minimum so if you come in with the 84 foot yacht you're gonna say next door here the part or excuse me the coral ridge gal club established in 1943 that is by far my favorite young club in the city because the people that run the club the commodores are basically retired so they have so much experience and so many stories and so much knowledge um it's a little bit different from the water daily off club down by port everglades it's more expensive to be there because they're closer to the ocean um [Music] yeah i think it's a drawbridge and uh over here you've got nothing but expertise so these are the tiny yachts compared to the mega yachts hugh taylor birch state park over here on the right hand side uh it's also water taxi spot number eight there's plenty of hiking trails and viking trails it's got a little micro restaurant which is really really good you get a discount with the water taxi ticket plus it has a tunnel for uh beach access so this is beachfront property as well as waterfront property i thought about the world so from this point all the way to uh the end of the line quarter taxis got nine and ten that is the northern point of fort lauderdale and it's also that of restaurant road top nine has uh two restaurants that we highly recommend shooters and footpaths they're exact opposites of each other [Music] i think it might be a good idea to go off at night there's uh nothing fancy about it it's kind of the place where me and my crew like to hang out the dress code is in the [Music] then we'll head on under the bridge to stop 10 about two minutes away and that'll be pro campers our largest yeah let's get off at nine ten's only two minutes away so it's not worth it separate menu i could probably cover that just between nine and ten for pizza the sushi bar with the sushi chef as well as their specialty they specialize in wings and ribs and they have an assortment of about 45 different flavors when i get off at nine though i'm gonna turn the gimbal off and put on a b right backstreet just so she knows i'm not like so we'll turn around there and head back to los alas it was a long ride for 28 bucks [Music] thank you gush make five bucks do you think you enjoy narrate water attacks i think you'd be good at it yeah i guess i could i don't know if i'd want to do it though [Music] i've also thought about opening up my own tour company in new york city but at that point i don't know i'd probably not want to do it anymore i like the direction my youtube channel is going [Music] [Music] so so [Music] so [Music] so i looked at the map it's going to take me about 40 45 minutes or so to get to lauderdale by the sea i'm excited for that [Music] thank you so [Music] so you guys see the big giant marlin over here in the backyard that's not really a statute that's actually a trophy there's only three of those in the world like it mr uh billy martin captain billy marquez one of the finest fishermen in the entire world you can definitely learn something from him uh if you watch his television show on the fishing network i don't even see it [Music] little drinks in the can you'll get some crab cakes up there it's also virginia [Music] boy we well worth the money for the views and all the information heck if you were to take a car service and go the same distance it probably cost the same amount of money [Music] [Music] this home is nice look at this one wow looks like a one big balcony it's not a swimming pool there [Music] well phil um 28 is not cheap yeah it's not cheap for a lot of people but for a tourist attraction like this i think it's well worth the money that ferris wheel i took and um miami that was 1875 and that only lasted 15 minutes this is 28 and it lasted almost an hour and a half now and you could actually stay on the boat take it back you don't even have to get off [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] adoption man the scooter was the best ride yeah i wish they had these scooters and what water i couldn't see anything [Music] so if you do uh get off the go campers if you drop right out front there's some more additional like uh little mono top shops over there three little strip kind of shopping places head over to be just walk right down the road then you'll be in the northern fort lauderdale beach anything north of uh campus is going to be another city that's going to be lauderdale by the sea [Music] by the sea isn't part of fort lauderdale it's another city that's one connection for laura is so much better than miami so far well i also have a atnt personal hotspot now so it's giving me more options to wear i can livestream so i have the best two cell phone providers connected verizon and att yes made five bucks and i was lucky enough to live there i'd love to buy a small boat and just drive it around the beautiful waterways to get the ocean yeah it's great here uh where is the sponge and ass let's see i think north east 32nd avenue and we're slowing up so we're probably stopping soon at stop nine so that house right there on the left hand side on the corner you guys see uh you can see it at night he's got a 1939 bentley touring car in his living room so you can just check it out he turns the lights on so it's for our viewing printer this next door neighbor is also a classic auto car collector guide uh right now flavor is a monster that's tiffany if you guys uh don't know what a tiffany is kind of looks like the old excalibur or the old family uh maestro's five star steakhouse unfortunately gentlemen you will need a coat of time reservations you must use the valet and they have a entree on the menu for one stake entree for 175 they're very proud see you guys let me just remind you one last time ten percent discount at these two stops flip flops little one and then shooters this grand deluxe right over here do take advantage you can uh definitely work off your water taxi ticket by the time you're done with fort lauderdale all right we get it all please remain seated please remain seated while we approach the dock and now thanks you guys for taking care of your crew we definitely appreciate you have a great day all right i'm gonna turn the gimbal off and put a be right back screen on so that way we don't get any resistance from the tour operator and i'll turn it back on once we get off onto the dock all right here we go let's go all right thank you sir thank you very much thank you appreciate it thank you what's going on here there we go okay so that was the boats the water taxi if you enjoyed it you can do something if you don't feel like coming down here to take it you can leave a review on tripadvisor because i certainly enjoy this water taxi it was well worth the money to see all the views of fort lauderdale but yeah let's get off here and explore what the rest of fort lauderdale and lauderdale by the beach which is my destination has to offer let's go wow there's sure a lot of people dining here right now i mean granted it is lunchtime but i don't think that many people will be here eating i didn't even know about this place there's a lot of things going on so yeah let's uh go out into the parking lot and onto the streets all right there's the tides hotel now i gotta find out where i am and where i can get to the beach so i think yeah we gotta go straight and then make a right and then just pretty much walk by the water here and i'll be at lauderdale by the sea it's only about half an hour away not bad at all so here's the parking garage marshall saying shooters is rated as one of the highest volume restaurants in the united states it is wow got some nice looking cars there burger croissant 10 euro this beats the staten island ferry sorry new york city one of your best streams action kid in my humble opinion thank you so uh two things i need i need a drink of water which i can get when i get to that bench and the second thing i need is a restroom maybe we'll find a restroom as i walk towards the beach there or lauderdale by the sea i'm not going to use this one because it's out in the sun although i could yeah i could use the restroom in the hotel but i've already passed it all right let's stop here and get a drink joe hernandez jada's ten five bucks you weren't feeling well this tour made me feel better glove from orlando very close to here you're still in florida but yeah let's put this down oop let's put this down where the legs are actually touching this bench because there's holes in this bench and we will get some water because i don't want to dehydrate even though i was sitting on the boat the entire time the sun was hitting me for a good portion of it [Music] all right very good [Music] the bus oh no it's the uh the truck over there now uh let me make sure that i can exit this way yeah i think i can there's a beach called earl lifshe ocean park that looks close by to here drawbridge is up by the way over there hey someone let go of some balloons they're flying off right now so it says the beach is to the right but i don't think that's just for cars i think i can still get to the beach if i go straight the sun is really strong today the end you're saving some dough and visiting here or miami one of these winners very nice in florida yeah it's very nice here it's a good change up to being in new york city where i'm from there's a tattoo place across the street paneer dolce italian bakery and all these cars are waiting for this drawbridge to go down so they can cross 500 hp 4.99 we need people like action kit in florida love to have you appreciate it all right so this is uh a1a which is the main road that goes through the oceanfront of this part of florida if i head up a1a i'll be by l'oreal by the sea in about half an hour or 40 minutes now let's see how i can get to this park earl lifshe ocean park because it seems like i can just continue straight and get to it all right let's cross is there a button yes there is hey that's good service push the button and immediately turns green for me that's what i like yo man he just blew right through past the stop marker ah shake my head all right i am here and there's another one and another one up there and i have an option of renting a bicycle but did i bring my chest mount that's my question because i can certainly ride a bicycle gee man so many horrible drivers here how much is a bicycle let's check that out first of all five dollars for 30 minutes pay as you go [Music] a temporary hold of 51 will be placed on your car let's see how much it costs for so oh uh five dollars per 30 minutes bill by the half hour plus taxes usage fees three dollars for 30 minutes after the first half an hour so it's oh my gosh so it comes eight dollars every half an hour after the first half an hour so if i were to ride this for an hour it cost 13 bucks i guess that's not bad i mean i rode the scooter for like an hour or so and i paid more than that in fees let me put this down and make sure i have my chest mount on me there is a bike lane here if you see it's uh separated from the travel lane right there the cars can't come in that lane there let's see did i bring my chest mouse no i did not oh man oh well probably not such a smart idea to ride a bike here anyway especially because i don't know the road yeah i didn't bring my chest mount so i can't ride my bike ride a bike not my bike let's check out this area maybe they have a restroom and maybe there's a boardwalk here or a broad walk something [Music] [Music] hey little lizard all right we are at earl lifshe ocean park now hopefully they have public restrooms here jessica when you're in fort lauderdale you saw iguanas everywhere yeah i saw one in miami climbing a palm tree i was shocked at that creature it was so big and i was able to climb it so quickly you would never think i don't think we're going to have luck with a restroom here but there is a coral reef but at least we can check this park out all right we got the beach the beach the beach the beach this is a nice beach very quiet beach and the water looks very nice it's very calm looks peaceful to be honest walk along the beach why not so what if i get sand in my shoes i'm already walking on the sand [Music] i'll get off at the next available spot looks like it gets busier up there looks like there's a big pier up there too lucas is moving back to florida this weekend from michigan oh awesome what's going on i think this area is private i cannot exit the beach over here but i can up there where there's more people i think this is a much better view than walking by a1a where all those cars are you think these might be all hotels they might be residences too or condos the picture quality is superb great great to know my hot spot is working well all because of this little device here i guess i'm still connected personal hotspot 8 tnt so stephanie asked how much it cost me was not cheap i paid 75 dollars for 40 gigabytes of data the device itself the hotspot itself was like 145 and it was 15 to activate it plus tax so all together was like 250 something [Music] but i gotta do what i gotta do to keep the internet connected in bad connection florida i wish i'd done it earlier when i was in miami [Music] i sure am smelling a lot of sunblock right now and tanning lotions this is going to take me longer to get to lauderdale by the sea because walking on sand is not as easy as walking on the road or the sidewalk rs turbo lag 26 when am i getting back to new york city um not sure yet i just still did not book a return ticket back to new york city and we're talking at 11 years old wonder if that guy's a new yorker he said talking like a new yorker with the awe well he's was talking about i can hear someone's sand castle uw saying a lot of people in florida are from new york city i've i've discovered that i met a lot of people from new york city i remember meeting someone from staten island another one from rego park another one from brooklyn another one from flushing queens so i'm not alone here there's a lot of new yorkers in florida the audio has a tapping sound let's see if i can fix that all right i hope it's okay maybe it was the microphone was uh bumping on a button somehow you want to see the waves okay let's walk closer to the water all right it got fixed perfect yeah i think the microphone was next to one of my shirt buttons and i was rubbing against it [Music] there's the big restroom to my right did i bring a bathing suit nope i did not bring a bathing suit let's get a selfie action kid on the beach whoo oops i just unbalanced my camera povhr is better than the new york beaches yeah new york beaches are not really that nice jackwood sck850 thank you so much even the best rated beach the best rated public beach in new york state is cooper's beach and the hamptons i didn't think it was nice as nice as this [Music] [Music] oh pretty sure i'm in the public area now unless uh yeah i'll just continue let's walk up to that pier on the beach this is a nice view it's very relaxing i haven't walked much on the beach anyway since i was here in florida plus this is a good test for my wi-fi hotspot to see if i'll lose connection at all because seems like every time by the water it disconnects [Music] [Music] [Music] the water's so calm today i thought that one might make it to me kenneth asked me if i could smell the waves yeah i can't this is awesome okay there's a couple that just smiled at me a lot of seaweed over here you can tell it's a little bit darker [Music] all right i think this is the public section of the beach coming up i see a lot of umbrellas maybe i'm at lauderdale by the sea already i'm not even sure because walking on the beach you can't really tell too much no i'm not yet lauded out by the sea but i'm close i'm close rich here jacob did i rent a car you keep asking me no i didn't rent a car i didn't really need it on my entire trip i actually found it to be less expensive doing it my way than renting a car i took the water taxi up here ubers are like 30 dollars or so they get to the next city renting a car alone will be more than [Music] that all right we're getting to the umbrella section now [Applause] all right into the public section of the beach past the hotels yeah lar is a much picturesque way to get here for sure you won't see this if i drove here no way it's definitely a lot more people in this section of the beach [Music] this must be the hotel spot yeah ocean sky hotel resort we're still in fort lauderdale lord all by the sea is coming up quick when i get to that pier i'll be pretty much in lauderdale by the sea i'm getting an exercise and a workout just walking along the beach [Music] look they got jet skis down here [Music] yamaha jet skis i probably could have ridden a jet ski if i had proper clothing and uh my chest mount on me that would have been fun is that looks like a good uh area to put an umbrella so nice to see people here relaxing enjoying the beach children here having fun it's great hey gopro [Music] so now corsada you know miami and nearby places more than your home city now well that's that's something else a lot of people have discovered new york city through my videos because i've just covered it so much amazingly i don't have too much sand in my shoes right now [Applause] foreign [Music] [Music] and when you like this beach better than miami yeah definitely a different feel to this beach compared to miami this one is a little bit more established i would say and not so much touristy sam your family from new york said they discovered rediscovered new york for my videos [Music] oh this is a deeper sand now i'm uh struggling to walk over there there's a jet ski [Music] it's too bad that water taxi doesn't take you all the way to lauderdale by the sea or maybe because that waterway ends over there not sure why they can do can't do it maybe it's some legal thing but it's nice to get off the boat and explore once in a while [Music] [Music] i have to be in lauderdale by the sea now yeah i am i'm right by the border think that red sign up there might be the border with lauderdale by the sea and fort lauderdale yep uh plaza east this is the border of lauderdale by the sea and fort lauderdale and i am gonna need to uh get a sip of water because the sun is very hot right now let's get some water in this shade you see here it is lauderdale by the sea florida's beach diving capital the sea turtle nesting area let's exit over here so i could find a cool place to uh sit down and get a drink of water maybe i'll walk on the sidewalk cause it's very tiring to walk on the beach i know this area says private property but i'm only going to be here for a few seconds all right good gotta put this down with i need two hands to open it up water water water that heat on the sun is grueling also i should eat a little something to hold me over until i get to uh the pier area i got a cliff bar with me by the time you realize you're hungry it's already too late so oh uh lauderdale by the sea is part of pompano beach i never knew that i thought it was part of fort lauderdale but it's a different city um okay oh pompano is after lord adele by the sea it's a different city than l'oreal by the sea it's confusing like because they have chosen another name than waterdoll by the sea and there's already a fort lauderdale oh that was my bus if i wanted a quick way hey look there's the sign the city signed for lauderdale by the sea it says relax you're here christina wants me to check out boca raton it means mouth of a rat it makes the hamptons look slummy okay mouth of the rat and it makes the hamptons look slummy huh well isn't that contradictory hey i saw her before so great mall and views and boca raton nice james and carla's here awesome if anyone missed the collaboration i did with james and carla it's on my youtube channel and they also did another one on theirs in hollywood florida yesterday and glad to see the internet ish service is good now we had issues with the collab livestream in downtown yeah it's uh not good over there [Music] in hollywood the problem with those cliff bars is there's little tiny nuts if you talk before you finish eating they can cause some issues well isn't this a huge vacant lot there is no shade at all here no shade at all all right so we got the visitors center to the left and shore diving is to the right i think i'll head to the visitors center because they probably have a restroom there yo hey awesome man another person who watches my channel welcome to fort lauderdale okay grand reopening chamber of commerce let's go and there's a crosswalk here so i can cross the street but these cars are not stopping for me in any which way so good luck with me crossing the street and getting these cars to follow this yield to pedestrian sign because yield people yield thank you thank you sir oh dude come on come on oh these stupid drivers all right chamber of commerce is there a restroom around the back let's see let's see let me ask i'm going to turn the camera off because i don't want to uh stream a restroom if they have one [Music] so so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right i'm back i am back they are so nice in there the restroom was very clean it was air conditioned i got some maps and some information about florida by the sea so let's uh take a look at this map while we're here here's a 11 bus she told me this bus will take me all the way back to las olas boulevard believe it or not this bus goes all the way back and i don't have to pay for it it's free so uh let's open this thing up and see oh wow look at this so now we have an idea of where we are so wait a second that's palm beach where is broadway county broward that keeps saying broad oh there it is this gimbal does not want to cooperate with it being down so we're here lauderdale beach and the next one is pompano beach and i came from down here all right we'll keep this map we'll go to the pier and we'll see and i'm just curious how often this bus comes because it might be an idea for me to get back and not have to pay for the uber you know one's coming in two minutes and the next one after that is 47 minutes so it's on 45-minute headways all right we're gonna go to the uh the pier so let's go there's another street past this one called elmar drive and we will cross where the crosswalk is because we saw what all happened back there when i got almost left hooked into at least i have a higher chance of surviving by crossing with the crosswalk you think right oh boy oh boy oh boy come on need to put a traffic light here this is ridiculous well there's a red light on the other side now all right let's go oh gosh what a stupid driver that driver made a left and the person on the scooter went straight and the scooter almost hit him what's wrong with floridian drivers [Applause] you know i was uh walking around last night near las olas boulevard in the residential area of downtown fort lauderdale there was a really really inconsiderate driver who was like driving really slow on this like two-way street and the car behind of course that driver was really mad she was like laying down the horn like for like a good minute or so and this driver kept driving so slow so they finally speed up right the first person in front they speed up and then all of a sudden they stop in the middle of the intersection and finally the driver behind got a chance to go around that other driver and as soon as they passed the other car i heard the driver say a few and i think there were some like hand gestures exchanged so yeah floridian drivers have a lot of expression i see too much expression here's coaster del sol there's a vacancy here rudy salazar wants to meet me at the pier i guess you could i mean i don't know how long it'll take for me to get there but it'll be fun h-town annie most of them are new yorkers i don't know maybe there will be a poll someone does which city has the worst drivers or the most expressive because i'm i'm pretty sure new york has some pretty bad drivers florida's got bad drivers too massachusetts they've got the mass hole drivers my brother tells me all about them and i encountered a free a few mass holes when i was there too and uh i heard la drivers la drivers get a lot of crap too so i don't know i guess it's universal throughout the country maybe so it's only three minutes to the pier nice and i don't have to walk on sand here's the windjammer resort i should hit the aruba beach cafe to a nice for a nice lunch nice okay very charming areas this one says ocean treasure and we got here a courtyard villa hotel if vincent saying am i going to pompano beach i don't think i will because this live stream has been going on for a while now and it is a hotter day than usual i don't think i'll be able to walk as long in this kind of heat up to pompano beach rather go to the pier here relax have a nice meal and then probably head back downtown to downtown fort lauderdale to my hotel so i guess this live stream was meant to be because um i wasn't able to rent a bike because i didn't bring my chest man with me but then again i was able to walk on the beach very nice here's the broward county sheriff wow is this their version of downtown commercial boulevard i mean it has to be right nice this i guess is like the last olas boulevard of lauderdale by the sea whoa this is neat looking look at these beach balls they're not actually made of plastic but they're like stone whoa whoa whoa lauderdale by the sea there's so much color here i like this better than fort lauderdale to be honest this is more of my type of style more residential and this is the aruba the person recommended me to stop by here to eat i might well might as well i'm here this is so chill beach cafe open 24 hours fishing pier heck yeah this place rocks [Music] rip currents local reef why not i've already walked on a lot of beach already crazy disney ladies here awesome it looks so nice you need to drive down here maybe you should lauderdale by the sea more chill and reacts relaxed atmosphere than fort lauderdale it's a bigger cousin just one city down aruba beach cafe i'm gonna take some pictures because this beach setting is so nice so we'll go on this fishing pier now let's mute the music because i'm getting close to the restaurant [Music] wow it costs uh two bucks to get onto this pier i had to pay two dollars for this pure look at these crows they're so aggressive and the crow chased the seagull away that's funny well awk you man you scared the seagull away all right oh my god okay well i think this will be a good place for me to end the live stream anyway folks i'm here at the angie's fishing pier at lauderdale by the sea beautiful background behind me but um if you enjoy this walk up here from fort lauderdale be sure to smash the like button subscribe for that water taxi ride from the riverside hotel all the way up here because that was amazing also and i'll see you next time take it easy folks bye-bye and uh for that person who want to meet me on the pier here i'm not sure how long it's going to take you but i don't know i guess i'll wait here for like another five minutes if they don't show up then i just go to the beach cafe there aruba so if you're still listening to this i'll wait around for a little bit but i'm not gonna wait around for a long time so oh it's m joy m joy how long will it take for you to get here i'll just wait by those tables there [Music] like you know maybe i'll just wait here at the table it's nice here anyway with a breeze until they come oh they're watching me at the webcam okay i forgot who was gonna meet me here unless they said they wanted to meet me and see the camera but hey i'll just hang out here anyway it's nice why not just get some breeze for a while you can enjoy the view too let's put this down [Music] so in about five minutes i'll shut this live stream off but until then enjoy the views and sit back me one foreign look so [Music] [Music] you
