I love that I live in an age where a person flying is really no big deal now.

I've witnessed many people getting extremely high in a lawn chair.... but this!!!!

What happens when you find you're in an aircraft's flight path?

Man, when the dude just starts spinning, which is the part that truly is off-putting.

I can't believe he basically landed 20 feet from his car at the end of it all.

Can you picture thousands of these things zipping around a city at various altitudes during a typical morning commute - people in suits and dresses wearing helmets and goggles landing on top of banks and shit?

This is getting pretty close to 1950s retro-futuristic personalized aircraft.

today we're going on an adventure in a few minutes I'm going to throw in all that cold weather gear strap that motor to my back lay out my wing and run through this to your soccer field and if everything goes right I'm going to end up somewhere around 12,000 feet insane normally I don't do high-altitude flights like this I've done one to six thousand one to seven and then the highest was one to nine but today's just one of those days I want to set a personal record I'm shooting for 12,000 I'm pretty stoked I hope you guys enjoy this video let's get to it all right let me tell you what I am burning up with all these clothes on but got to make sure I'm not freezing up there it's probably like 65 degrees on the ground got about 10 liters of gas and the trusty old scout and I am flying to hide Ron I'm just excited to get in the air get some airflow get a little altitude and get that air conditioning it's like I'm ready to leave the ground let's give this a shot [Music] so easy it's been a while since I launched this wing someone like I said it's abnormally warm today and calm so I figured why not go for a personal record I am stoked for this man this wing climbs so much more effortlessly than the four meters makes all right so here's the setup I've got my phone ahead and open up the GPS app we've got a speed of 20 miles an hour altitude is 1600 feet so the majority of this light the climb up is just going to be boring so I think I'm going to shut the GoPro down some battery I'll check back with you guys when I'm around 5,000 feet ready Time Warp alright currently the time is 3:20 we just passed 5000 feet I'll give you guys a quick panorama I'm holding steady into the Γ©douard which is coming from that let's go quick three six see Philadelphia off down the river there see the ocean from here which is crazy I've only ever seen the ocean an early morning flight New York City on the horizon that I keep a scan my fame focus we're approaching 10,000 feet at this point because I don't risk missing the shot so at this direction I have a ground speed of do a quick 360 hater ever dude the water right there we got the ocean New York City packing a little power efficiency is definite who knows I do safely beautiful up here all right we got eleven and a half now Street ground speed of 14 miles per hour it's nice and cool up here it's not too cold I think I definitely dressed appropriately body is nice more I can do yeah buddy trinket unreal this whole paramotor thing the potential that lies within a setup like this my body up to 12,000 feet all right that's 12,000 feet time is 339 I think I'm gonna go a little higher rate is still sufficient good on fuel and if I read really cares I have all day to fly back down yeah park down there I don't want to get too far down with these plugs are heated but I don't have the batteries hooked up it's all fine I floated much colder got 13,000 I'm still getting Instagram Dunphy 13500 that you would normally start Iban to be honest I thought my climb rate would slow down a lot more as I got to these high altitudes is rotten err I'm losing efficiency the wing losing efficiency but I'm actually surprised my climb rate is steak good it's it has most definitely dropped down keeping up pretty good trusty scab back here doing work 13700 slow and steady we're definitely dropping an efficiency at this altitude there we go 14,000 is slower at this altitude though I'm going to give it a few more minutes we'll see if we can get to 15,000 fifteen thousand to be the max or shut er down and come down you can see it there 15,000 feet that's going to be it for me time to throttle back I'm gonna let her idle for just a minute go ahead and kill it there we go this is 15,000 feet what a beautiful day I'm gonna wait till I get down a bit lower to do some wing overs oh so beautiful man I want to do to go to crazy get back down to a reasonable altitude now yeah ah it's amazing all the way up to 15,000 feet with this piece of fabric this two-stroke motor on my back probably about halfway down now airs getting warmer totally been considering doing a Sat real quick I don't know should I do it I haven't done a sat in a long-ass time this flights had so much adrenaline already I think we'll go for it I would say we're probably five to six thousand feet right now let's just do it for a set I grab onto the ball here push off of this riser give it as much weight shift to the right start pulling right breaking one two three yeah there we go nice little surge of g-forces as we get into it then I can just hold it right here take that good amount of force to hold this baby let's come out yeah lots of g-force and dizzying let me tell you what should we do on to the left to still got a lot of altitude to go hold that like that pull full weight shift left yeah there we go got the park down below just gonna hold it for a little while yeah dude that's insane hey shut it up wingtip came in mad biggie whoo like a damn helicopter world spinning I'm just gonna relax the rest of this flight I think I'm a comfortable altitude now feel like I compress my spine a little bit with all those g-forces I wish you could see in the detail I can see right now New York City I don't know if you can see it on the GoPro but you got the Freedom Tower shining bright might be able to see that you can see the entire city over there probably down to I would say 3,000 feet just a guess right over the park right where I want to be probably 1,500 to 2,000 feet now this is a normal altitude I might climb to at the end of a flight to just throw some wing overs on the way back down I'm going to see how close I can land to my Subaru getting lower than the hills now about ready to start setting up for my pattern can't wait to strip off all these layers I'm already back to sweating as it's warmed up down here Beauty yes I made it yeah so sick time to strip this gear off I'll be right back with an outro back to my normal clothes that was insane it's one of those things that is still kind of hard for your mind to process like what just happened shout out to Scout trusty Scout coming through bringing me all the way up there I guess that's all the excitement for today I'm going to go ahead and pack everything up if you guys like this video like this video if you're not subscribed yet hit that subscribe button comment down below if you have any ideas of what I should do in future videos yeah pyramids are sick until next time peace out guys see [Music] [Music]
