foreign [Music] [Music] nuts and spices men that was an outstanding meal [Music] hey everyone hope you're having an amazing day it's Mark Wiens I'm in Singapore but tonight we are flying from Singapore to Fiji so we're on our way to Fiji this is going to be my very first time to go to Fiji I cannot wait for the food but we are flying with Fiji Airways on business class so in this video I'm going to show you the entire journey and all of the food that we eat my first time to fly Fiji Airways first time to Fiji I'm really excited okay here we go goodbye Singapore we are on our way Fiji Airways on our way to Nadi hello thank you very much thank you hello hello [Music] okay and so I'm sitting next to what's your name oh cool to meet you and you're from Fiji yeah just from Randy oh very cool very cool I can't wait to be there all right menu um let's see we're taking off at 8 55 p.m and then I believe it's about uh 10 is it a 10 and a half hour flight 10 and a half ten and a half hours so Fiji is really I mean in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and this is the the menu I think we'll be having dinner and maybe even breakfast since it's a 10 hour flight yes please thank you very much thank you you're welcome oh yeah sure oh that feels great oh yes okay so look down here we have some of the oh yes handles um slippers who have a whole packet and then of course gotta have possibly the world's most famous bottled water [Music] all right thank you very much well we're well on our way to Fiji and dinner is served I'm First beginning with the there's a salad and I think this on the menu is pumpkin soup nice I think those are pine nuts on top of it oh it's sour cream well it's really rich is something from my bakery tonight some of the brown bread thank you enjoy thank you very much for your main course there were three different dishes you could get I immediately went with the prune chicken kofta and oh man this smells incredibly delicious rice on the bottom you immediately smell the curry leaves on top the aromatic Curry leaves there's the chicken kofta like a chicken kebab there's some curry sauce there's some aubergine and kind of a spinach on the side of the aroma of those Curry leaves oh man wow oh that's so good the flavor of the spices and the the cumin the almost has a flavor of clove oh man oh man rich and Hearty and nutty I think I said there's pine nuts in there too and then that sausage creamy and flavorful aromatic okay and then next up on my plate is the eggplant which it really kind of smells like a like a Chutney or an achar the Mustard Seed in there creamy flavorful spicious and we got some of this like a spinach puree full of mushrooms it looks really good like a similar to a hot paneer but with mushrooms [Music] foreign [Music] that was so good the combination of the the puffed up infused with pine nuts and spices the there was a sauce that was kind of tomatoey and acidic and creamy and then that creamy spinach that was my first meal it's sort of in Fiji but outstanding in the air with Fiji Airways again then for dessert I went with just the fresh fruit there's a mango there's some papaya some melon some dragon fruit blueberries oh and that just landed in my lap oh great mango the fruit is always the perfect way to end a meal so far flight has been excellent staff are really friendly and helpful and even the people sitting around me are really friendly and that dinner was fantastic so we have about eight and a half hours left to go until we arrive in Fiji I'm gonna get some Rust and then definitely wake up for breakfast before we land for the next meal [Music] thank you good morning had a not too long of a sleep but a little bit of a nap and we are now about an hour and a half outside of Nadi so we are getting close we're still over the Pacific Ocean uh but breakfast is served and again I had to go for the Fijian Indian influenced dish then again it just smells so good immediately with those fried Curry leaves um see you can smell the Masala there's some Chutney I think some coconut chutney maybe some Dal on the side and then served with some breads with some fruits that smells so good mmm oh delicious again the coconut chutney the utapama is nice and spongy and then with that kind of like it has a nice acidity to it sour Nest hardness tomato cumin seed Mash oh there's a whole um like a Vada I think it's made from doll flour maybe on a combination of rice flour doll flour oh man that texture is spongy fluffy yeah this is my kind of breakfast in my entire breakfast is very South Indian in flavor and just it's really really good there's whole Peppercorns in there as well it just bumps up that spice level foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] right here [Music] the greatest immigration ever live music at immigration [Music] I love Fiji already [Music] fantastic International Airport everything smoothie thank you very much thank you oh excellent [Music] yes you will be having the um the special of the day with the local spinach and also with the download is similar to yam cassava so definitely you will this is your first days of Fiji thank you what's your name again Eli Eli see my brother thank you we came from the airport straight to a hotel about five minutes away and we're just here because in a couple of hours in approximately five hours from now we will be catching a flight to Suva which is the the bigger city of this island of Fiji and that's where we're going to begin our entire food tour we have a lot to do uh so we're just kind of in transit here and just kind of waiting around but in the meantime we are kind of hungry so we're gonna order some food here at the hotel this is the dish this is that this this is the which is kind of like Spanish Macker with the local spinach there we call it Auto in Fijian so water with coconut milk fresh coconut milk okay so they scrape and squeeze and whatnot so there you go mark that's the special for you oh it smells so so good Dalo but I gotta try that that walu first hmm [Music] oh it's so creamy so rich from the coconut milk all the fish is firm oh it's delicious so normally fijians would add some some chili also so with the lemon thank you for the extra chilies as well these chilies smell so good oh huge pieces of tarot on the bottom here [Music] I love it with that sprinkle of lemon juice lime juice that brings out the aroma the flavor of the acidity those chilies are delicious [Music] oh man these chilies are awesome too like a scotch bonnet in flavor and Heat [Music] I
