all right you guys hi I'm super excited it's time for my first fabulous fakahatchee trail camera pick up episode of 2018 today is Saturday April the 14th I'm here at my favorite spot I was here on October the 8th after Hurricane Emma to pick up my camera Jane scenic drive here has been closed ever since past gate 12 which I think might be a very good thing because there's been very few cars if any and people out here so I'm hoping that it's going to allow for everything to be comfortable and bears and Panthers and deer and things walking around in the daytime let's go down pick this camera up see what we get you can really see the difference from the way it was on October the 8th after Hurricane thermic aim through here on September the 10th there was a bunch of fearless back of hacker volunteers and some state contractors that came in here with wood chippers and bulldozers and chainsaws and cleared these transfers so really appreciate that I've had this camera out for four weeks I set it out on March the 17th I think so without any humans out here to speak of having the camera on the trail here hopefully it's gonna be pretty good one thing I'm concerned about and the problem I seem to be having on my last couple cameras that as dry as everything is down here now the animals are free to walk around wherever they want to they're not confined to these raised trams so I'm hoping that they're still going to be enough activity on here even though it's dry everywhere else right here is the tree that I had the camera set out on during Hurricane Erna overlooking this little tram here so it's kind of interesting to see how it was back then where there was 2 feet of water here on the tram versus now and everything is dry when I came in and picked the camera up from the hurricane on October the 8th how there was no leaves on these trees and this whole tram here was just all fallen trees and you could barely even walk through here but now it's all clear and it's starting to look like it used to before hurricane ARMA so I'm really encouraged about that here's my super-awesome water hole from last May where I got all the sweet bears and Panthers and otters and minks and barred owls it's starting to look perfect the water level is going down so I think I'm gonna come and bring the camera back and set it up right here on the same Cypress knee that I did last year water still a lot higher than it was but I know it's gonna go down quick so I think I'm definitely going to bring the camera back here set it up on this water hole should be perfect so excited another nice little waterhole over here on this side with a big all hollow log that a mink would love to be in that's awesome maybe I have to look at this little waterhole 142 feet up here on the left starting to get excited I'm really hoping this camera is working this is one of the cameras that got flooded last June back at the water hole we just passed but still been working like a champ ever since so hopefully gave me one more set here there it is I see it [Music] that overlooking this tram here nice raised area that I'm hoping a lot of animals we're walking right through here so hopefully we get some daytime bears and pant there and deer let's get this thing off the tree so exciting all right guys here we go cross your fingers oh yeah sweet all right only 35 videos 35 videos and 94% remaining battery life so 35 videos in four weeks I just sent that great but maybe we've got some good quality as we got some date time Panthers or bears or deer walking by here so let's go put them on the computers and see what we get [Music] all right good luck this is such a good spot thank you guys you're about to see some good stuff you [Music] [Music] [Applause] everybody else [Music] and overlooking this tram here all right that was a pretty good spot still more human activity than I had hope for but those Panthers are pretty cool and how one bear I don't know what it is about these cameras but they love to come up and sniff them and try to eat them so that's why I was pretty good so I'm gonna go it now and change the SD card and put this camera back on the water holder right back here so four weeks from now we should have some sweet action damn Gator in my water hole man that means there's not gonna be anything in here dammit alright here's my final setup I couldn't find a spot over there that I liked so I decided to bring it back here even though it's farther back from the water hole than I would like I think there's still within range that if anything walks through there we should pick it up and maybe we'll get some good action of that Gator coming up here and laying in the Sun or maybe walking across this way and I think a lot of the bears and things come in from right through here so we might get them on the camera as they go in and come out right here so that might be pretty cool so we'll come back and pick you up in four weeks or so good look whoo-hoo it's a good spot thanks for watching
