from flex you know we we've started an interesting series here which we are continuing with I have Jorge Silva here you know I know him as Guiteau I know him from the North East Bronx I know him from well let me let me be specific I know of you because I born I was young and we're even we're about the same age you know but um I lived on dreama Avenue on the 4100 block so I might be four blocks from you maybe five and Beto which is the name that I knew was um you know Ward 41 crew correct this is the corner of to 29th and Laconia to 29th and am I saying that in the middle in the middle who know 229 vism is the center of the project correct it was right in the middle correct so you know like I told you I knew of him and got and met him later when Jim Jones I think and he came to the car show and you know I always I have mentioned him before before I met him in before I knew him because in the Bronx you know his area where he'll is from used to be a line of cars always but it's this is an ordinary cars and this isn't like Cadillacs or or Lincoln's this was like Maximus and BMWs and i'ma he had him your team the legendary car from that hood bro was a yellow maxima with the black rag that's the first time I've seen a ragtop I was the first one to put a rag top on the Maxima I never saw a rag top on a car and it seemed probably one other person back then that put a rag top on the Maxima mm-hmm and I was probably I was in Harlem mm-hmm who had a red Maxima with a black top so you knew you would you had to do was this before you were after or at the same time same time but then I know my maximum was black at first black on black then I changed it all around now yellow broke an area statement so that's when that's what they were doing those wild colors at the time what a Reston what everybody didn't have it like that to get it done but you know what you had it yeah car creativity my brother was was on level 10 you use on level ten so I want to go to the very beginning because I know you've done you I know you you were arrested in 88 89 and you how many years to get into the beginning of 89 and how many years were you incarcerated 17 17 years but I want to go back before that now you're young you did you what part where were you born and you're born and raised in the Bronx Jacobi hospital Jacobi hospital I want you to guess is that dare anymore is there I don't know if it still called York I think it's called Jacobi oh no Monda fury took it over I don't know what yeah they got smash I think I was born in Albert Einstein I don't know why I don't think that's there my son was born there but it's not that that's not there anymore the college um a lot of college students okay study there and they get the degree and they get aren't hands-on you know they do a lot of definitely prenatal I mean you know a lot of prenatal stuff do you remember Fordham hospital my mother used to work there I was bought a house for tea that for hospitals I've heard of it but where was it it was like I feel like I think I feel like it was somewhere in the concourse area if anybody was going to you table for four months anybody remembers that yeah and it becomes this is like late seventies early if I remember correctly Cordia this record you remember nobody I was someplace you didn't want to go until no hospital I still don't like hospitals until they took over someone else took over I was hot that was Bronx Hospital talk so you you you are what school what what school did you go to when I think it's all high school Evy you would so you went to van the child and the child yeah did you graduate from there no I dropped out on dropped out what wait what ninth grade one years yeah yeah like this isn't for you I realized that that school at the time no disrespect to you know everybody that go to that school but at the time that school wasn't a million if you wanted to learn you had to have that drive to learn but you can easily get distracted because it was so much going on and so many people not going there to learn that it was just you know smart i didn't feel like i was getting anything out of it plus i was so focused on the street at the time that it was just if we just call that denial now I'm not learning nothing here not because you don't really want to learn there you're saying it's not you that's how we you know we grow up trying to think that a negative thing is coming from something else and we we just blame other things for our world mishap you know what year was this ninth grade for you this is like 83 83 it was yeah early early so when would you say is your or what was your first hustle like what will you wear what will you what were you like what were you hustling like you know what you're saying you said it might regular already you already had a little street life in you and what you want to do so what were you doing prior to that so then that means 7th grade or 8th grade like where is it where is it around there you know like I was like 12 13 years old and you know started getting familiar with the street calling outside coming upstairs late you know my mom very stressed my time in and out because I was you know starting to show signs of manhood whatever and um I started hustling like I would wait to like the firework season okay thought that's how I got into like just knowing how to flip a pack I started buying like little fireworks like bricks or firecrackers and I was telling them I was young I was something doing you know this is seventh grade yeah I was young yeah I was young like 13 mm-hmm so right around there I was like hustling like fireworks during the you know firework season and that would be my little hustle and I couldn't wait to that time of the year came around so I could do it again you know but then I you know come I hit 15 I mean fireworks I mean tell me that's already smoking by when I was like ah 11 10 11 years old I would he smoke but I didn't hustle no but until I could learn how to hustle now what the fireworks what would you buy it for would you sell it for like one of your profits go to brick wood course you wouldn't any game you you want a hustle and you want to double your money so whatever it cost like that's a different stage we said double the money you want to double that money listen you know it might've cost $8 a brick back then or $7 a brick uh-huh you want it I think something like 80 packs in the brick at the time and just had to do the math on the bombs for some reason ladies the bronze was very shout to all the Italians are part of town they were so about the fireworks man I used to do it big we didn't have to buy anything during fourth of July if you live near who would you go to get I'm just curious like you'd buy it back go you buy from the times and then flip it like where were you bark in the hood you know I used to go by 87 Park 87 you know I'm at 87 don't go over there do you know back in them days yeah AAA know somebody or get to know somebody okay so now what is your so this is what this is this is 80 77 80 1881 we talked about you know seventh-grade 8283 so remember them MB fives absolutely hate so those came on a break let's break this down those came on the NB the NB 5 who made it was in Honda on the MV 5 yes it was a moped that wasn't a moped it had moped wheels but what it worked like a bhai gears yes years now and they are and the Rav was alright that was a smaller boat the bigger wheel Kawasaki one they made they kawasaki made a bike - you know the big rounds now this was a bike that you wore with the helmet you always had obviously I see your face all remember this right oh my god md5 ok so then so this is what 82 yeah so now 82 is here are you are you what's your next hustle because now you're away from fireworks right the fireworks is only happening once here what's your next thing so you're selling we know I used to go to the plaza we call it we they would think it was okay okay skunk skunk home absolutely all those names terms okay so now if I stick in home days you know correct but you know so now the names now the its progressive so now does this become something you're doing every day or you're you selling weed every day this is no school he's still in school though he's still in school when this is happening this is after you decide not to allow school I was already hustling before I left school okay but not for I didn't hustle for the game a house before the survival like for I was like just keep money in my pocket each day you know to smoke so this is no this is lavish living this is this is equivalent to a job for you and I have money in my pocket I'm able to do it at my own leisure and ask my parent 20 money you know to try to survive on your home without going and you didn't eat more projects at the time definitely okay so now you sell it we this is eating more when I was four move the image for which where were you born what point I'm from the Tremont area daily I've moved there I moved out of there when I was four okay yeah I was that it was active over there bro oh yeah no doubt but a little less hectic give me the world I feel like that was definitely a move would be being a little less hectic from Tremont to Uptown was a little like like light when it comes to the drama and all and it was less as it wasn't as busy like you know them busy areas and uptown is could be a ghost kind of a ghost town sometimes you know so so you you move there okay you're there you're in either ward you're getting ready to drop out of school you're selling weed this one out were like 83 so what happened to you next like so you're selling weed how does that go for you like you said in the plaza so the plaza I felt was definitely I was a lot of Jamaicans that were in that area correct how did that even work for you it didn't work for me haha it didn't work yeah like I was down there and the dudes you know they got familiar with me being around there but um yeah I was trying they try to run me out of that black guy got stabbed in my neck down down that plaza get out a this is when you was when you first this happened I was 15 so talking about 15 years old that's from this ninth grade yeah I was out of it he dropped out when you do it knocked out yeah I didn't I didn't stand Evie for more than six months over the first year I went down okay and that's it I dropped out of school and started running around but yeah hustling on the plaza you know got into a little misunderstanding with some individuals try to tell me I couldn't be out there and I was like yo where are you from like I live right there I'm saying so I wasn't trying to hear that and next you know and you know we got older to be forever like I embarrassed you know individual in front of all his friends cuz he was like 27 years old and I'm 15 and he's trying to push me around and like I put the beats on him the B's and then um somebody handed him a knife and he tried to like intimidate me and then I didn't I didn't run I just kept fighting them not realizing that he was cutting me not really didn't feel it do I you know do the adrenaline of the fighting or what I didn't really feel it but my man um one of my boys I was with Frank dual he was like yo come on he just snatched me and told me the clue got his run to take me back to the crib then I went to the you know my mom's house I looked in the mirror I had like bleeding I was bleeding out of my forehead mm-hmm and then I realized oh I've seen this wide open I went to the hospital you know like a lot of the old G's did you go back to that Bluff they went the old G's from the hood went back down then that's when they kind of shut them down they couldn't hustle out there no more after that because they was like yellow which I you know look at it now like our 27 year old who stabbed a fifteen year old kid that everybody knows and like I had a reputation as being one of the young kids on the block and they did that to me like didn't like that I took a person you know so any anytime you know when it comes to my hood you know eating war like we rep and there's any violations on that we would go do all I do but only if to protect our own interest you know that's this how we used to be so you're selling weed down there right now this is a do so now he's selling weed you're in the plaza which uh I know exactly where you're at because I'm envisioned in my mind a quote correctly from wrong like across the street from the precinct right like the precinct is down the street yeah you can see them literally coming down the street so for seven precinct this is going on though the cops even like coming down here see what's up saying anything anything nothing on the plaza yeah they coming in there rod due dates on it um they used to jump out and do just to run every direction dip in the stores you know how did Tim install may believe playing a video game that's when they had the video games asteroids are lazy babies you know on that millipede Tata Muhammad you know middle of playing all those games trust me I'm a gamer you like it I still play no yeah I'm you know I'll keep I try to keep a young mind you know keep my ear to the ground that was going on even though you know I got the old head mentalities to buy either way so now you hear the plaza you selling weed what's the next step for Guiteau after this like where do you will you where do you move to because you know I sort of paper you know when you got arrested and you know the numbers that I saw was like two hundred fifty three thousand cash in a wall you know ten twenty thousand a day you know take me now how it even guess that because you're a tweed it's 83 we're now we're three years before the crack of academic what are you doing in between like very time you know we told them what happens after the week my 83-84 you know we started getting into the a little bit more serious of my husband and I'm getting a little bit of trying just trying to get paid and really do it for more positive reasons besides just having money in your pocket okay we don't try to come up I want to put some money at whatever charge now there's no forty one crew yet this is just you it was always a 41 crew okay Dave was know that was not known for hustling okay just known for like hang now you know I've you know for one was always a popular building okay come and there's a few popular buildings around you know in eating war but forty one was just one of them okay and it was you know we made noise over there but at the same time you know he was humble dude was growing up young and we learned from other know the individuals that we saw and that's really the reason why I got into the game because the only individuals that I saw coming up was dudes I was hustling okay I was never really exposed to would you see like who you know not see like per se but who are the hustles that you knew of before you got started off during like what who were some of the oh geez at the time and I rest in peace Eric you know like I'm gonna be saying names out of like like I said rest in peace Eric he was a twin and he got another brother I forgot his name but they were brothers and they were I used to see them they was fly you know I see a couple cats on that I like no I don't really like to say too many name okay okay I don't get permission this from that individual need to say their name so I wouldn't really say in it but yeah there was individualized to watch and I learned what are individuals did you watch from afar that you know because at this time correct me if I'm wrong fat cat does exist right in this time this is all never heard of him until like later on when things got a little bit not gonna eight let you know 88 ever at 87 I think they already had came in somewhere by 86 87 okay I'm not even sure what year they got knocked but that case was somewhere around 88 89 89 yeah no I used to see one time I was you know I went downtown hmm and I started trying to you know look for connect whatever because at that time I didn't know too many people I was just trying to get money so you didn't so so this weed so the weed you're graduating now you try you're graduating to another level so you don't have a connect you're looking for connect yeah well this was before like right around before the crack ever came out mm-hmm I introduce you know to the rock you know the rock form crack and I was like wow and didn't know what it can do for you selling cocaine before this well you would you into the cocaine game you so you went from weed to crack you you never did the cocaine game you never sold that I did but during the crack ever but now I used to be into that leaky League okay I know what that is but I was into that but like I said not for now for a big gain yes for like survival and because like I was the only one around and we're not pushing this on people or glorifying it we're just sharing homing in time and what New York City looked like in these years okay I definitely want to express that like I mean I chose to you know to do to speak to you and all that but definitely my message is not to try to show people that what I did to try to follow my path far as getting in the hustle game like you know there was there was individuals that got in the game got out and they you know that's that considered successful and that that percentage is very low mm-hmm and I'm definitely not trying to get a young bubble to listen to this and be like imma imma start up and blow up like him cuz really that I've been through a lot after that you know and I did all those years in prison and nothing in this world nothing that I ever had could could replace the 17 years that I did hmm that was a very you know just missing my family and not getting to do things took away my 20s and my 30s you know and you know I know I didn't know you at the time you know nobody thought you was ever coming home bro I'll keep it a book yeah I know it was when I read in the paper I was like wow this is not the first time I saw my lawyer within the first two weeks of me being arrested he was like yo you facing 20 years then he came back the next week he was like you're facing 40 years and then he came again he's not you facing life I'm like what's going on hey I would like this number keep increasing every time say cuz they they're finding out this they're saying this they saying that we don't know what's true what's not true but they're trying to put all these years on you you know but then they had the the kingpin law which is you know a forty a second on the lowest level like I know top level a four I don't could never consider myself what people consider me you know far as the name and all that some people have stories some of them are true so I'm gonna exaggerate it some of them are watered down I don't mean that the whole project was lit yeah no you know it was it was living away any every day was a every day was a story right here I'll tell you why it looked magnificently late because it's not you know Harlem you had air you had like five six areas of things going on it you know in the Northeast like that one area looking like that stood out so Lauren Josh the reason why a lot of times when when I was getting money and I had time to relax go chill I will go to wacko blend in that mmm-hmm and I will go to Harlem I'll go to places like the rink or the rooftop I was all over me anybody that's from them out there and they know me they saw meeting I used to be running all up and down there I did the S&S thing S&S club late night Willie burger the best burger in America raw onions ketchup mayo on that bread in the tinfoil Tonya was cracking that is our Willie's daughter amazing moment so I'm surprised so you so you you went from the weed to the crack I think I'm sorry there was a star little bit leak we mess around with that okay with that leak okay and then today now you go from there so now we're where are we 85 80 45 at the end of 85 right around the end of 85 is when you know individual told me look check these two check out this bottle right here whoo whoo I'm sorry sorry custom piece yeah I'm saying he he's not he's not here with us right now where was that wrong in my hood hood but he was hustling somewhere else where they had crack and he did another part of Bronx yeah and the BX and then he came to me and he was I check these take these bottles hold them some because a couple of people won't come right look for it and they've asked for it this is what they asking for mm-hmm you know and I and he's just doing that on the love just cuz he knows you yeah nah he was trying to you know put me on or whatever and I was trying to get money he knew I had the energy to do that so potential in me and he and he just started blessing me you know and he looked out but I obviously messed up I started messing with that [ __ ] for a little while once the only mission when you say mess up you start to use the air I used it I started um putting it in blunts and then you get addicted from it I'm going that too this is like early 86 because the crazy there's some early early 86 oh so early 86 86 the summer of 86 is when I [ __ ] up I was doing like like I just that whole summer okay and then right around New Year's so what do you do so what are you doing here your your your your arm you're selling but you're getting enough that you make your money and you're using at the time well I started selling but once you started using it you didn't want to sell it no more you end up using it and I messed up [ __ ] up [ __ ] up some money and my man I put me on he was not yo I can't [ __ ] with you no more and you just put me so when you I was just like stressed out for for a minute but when you first got it people were still looking for me for it and I'm over here don't even have it cuz I jacked off my package I'm I jacked off the package and then like dude was looking for me still and I was saying to myself am I still got the clientele for this like if I was just like leave it alone I could get money and then that's when you first before you start using were you were you seen the difference in the game it was the money coming wasn't it wasn't hot yet it wasn't nothing yet we talked about the $20 bottles at that time that's how this is there's got to be a little telling down the 585 tell into 85 okay okay and then I started going downtown like you know we talk about new years of no we're not I'm told my tale in 86 selling 86 86 because 87 is me you know is when I really was about yo I'm gonna go you know I'm just you know I'm gonna get off them I start getting on my feet is doing on you all no help to get off the drug like ever took I never went to any program and I'm like that how do you what would you what would you just said I'm just gonna stop yeah my baby withdrawal no baby moms in time before we had a kid right around that time she was I listen man you know I can't be with you he's gonna be doing that like everybody talking about you this now that and I said I'm gonna get on him and get on my feet and then one day I just was like that's it and this were aging you're younger to this I was like seventy MC 80 so I was on my eighties 86 yeah I was I was just trying 1919 you could have easily went off the deep end with yeah I almost did like you know I don't want to put out too much in my story because I plan on working on a project that's very interesting and I don't want to pinpoint like some of the details of what made me make the changes because some of those things are very um could be inspiring to others or could be sad to others but it's part of a good story mmm-hmm I want to reserve some of that because I want to set the time out to put out some because I'm working on a book okay and I'm definitely trying to work on some for the viewers you know so so New Year's Eve not that whole detail but yeah we talking about 86 any going into 87 you you you you come clear I have $50 I started with $50 and I'll never look back wait how'd you get the fifty would you get the first all the radio my girl's radio wait a minute I sold it and they thought I was gonna smoke that 50 and I took that 50 I hopped on the train I didn't pay back then you hop on the train no camera yeah no problem got my cheese hopped on the train went all the way downtown caught me five bottles came uptown sold on 420 when next day boy that means that means that means the radio you got fifty you sold those guys a video back to after a couple months later you bought it back but double the price here you go let me get that I had my money was up in a month a month I was pushing that Maxima by by March you lie that's wait so you did and we're not condoning this because listen we know what drugs does to the community and to the people and we know what crack did weird you know saying what was what's true what really happened so fifty dollars turns into what likes if you go up that first run what did that turn into hundred a hundred dollars and I got 12 four hundred okay they're not X now that a hundred turns into 1 120 140 well I just kept doubling up every day every day within the next within three days I was like you know I was already in the thousands okay so then so are you still at this point you're still buying them already bottled up yeah you still buy them so this is happening for you where do you shift gears because at some point you have to either cook it yourself with somebody got you know god bless him he's retired he went back to dr you know he's one of the ones that i say made it he was in New York he was in he was in the heights and all that and he kept saying why are you buying so many bottles yeah I need to seem to show you how to cook this and I was I win he was like tomorrow like you know and he just showed me and actually no I knew how to I know how to chef it up uh-huh started calling me chef boyardee stern I used to be another nickname we had in the circle see also you know because he didn't say his name so we're not blowing up was he also giving you the package so you were getting to boo you getting the package for him and he and and and then you taking a cook it or he just showed you how to cook it now you gotta figure out he showed me one timing but he's not sure connect at the time he wasn't connect he said next time you come I'm gonna let you cook it right there in front of me and if you're doing it right I'm gonna let you ride if not awesome I'll Corvette help you and I did it right to first that's the game this is the game changing once from from that point and started buying bottles I was getting that I wait and I was able to drop my price you know because they was costing you know up in the hood it was like $20 a bottle back then but overnight as soon as I learned how to cook it I dropped my price to 10 when dudes in the hood was just getting on 20 and when they got to 10 I dropped to 5 so I stood a little bit ahead of everybody that's all it really was it stood a little bit ahead of that's why they call it hustle you gotta hustle the next man not in a way where you want to hurt that person but you just want to you want to get your grind on you want to do it as quick as possible you're gonna get paid like and even though if it's individuals around you that are trying to get money to like I have no problem helping dudes get money because that's what type of individual I am like I wasn't that selfish cat mm-hmm walk you know do my hood anytime and anybody most likely a high percentage of people will always say you know he was a good do he wasn't no I wasn't no grimy dude you know like wasn't no killer it was all pure hustle like when you hear keto don't think that like dudes told that story that guy you know I met that guy Oh small man out of a car and I was like whoa because I don't want people to really remember me for that part was pure grind like but that was but but i but that story which he told of you getting into an altercation and putting the beats on summer this was a this is a different beats not they're not the original beats but but see rest in peace to wolf yeah you know but and I never the Valley Mall you know fill everybody from the valley but you know because that will you know be nice with your hands you know was a little bit of a rarity for someone you know industry doing that and you know I I don't know anything about we really consider myself being a person that was crazy nice on my hands but but that was you but I feel like that was your first choice like it was the hands and and it always has to be happy to today it has to be like nobody's charming and and and wolf was that type of character because before wolf arrested pista wolf of course you know before he was with Diddy or around him I used to get my haircut on Boston Road so you know Boston Road Valley always fighting and you know Wolfer always want a knuckle up with somebody like he can't double yellow line or whatever that happened but you know this is reminding me of you know the Bronx in 86 if you really think about it that pistol or knife wasn't first option it was like we're gonna fight ya know well we come from the same ever where most people were transitioning from fighting with their hands to using weapons correct that that's what I feel it was it was how to be lame my arrow foot getting into that and I wish sometimes that dudes could learn how to put that down and be like Yoda Strongest Man as the man who know how to fight like it used to be like and you know sometimes you'd have a fight with some person that person would end up being your friend like down the mom yeah you know divorce actually that's a good technique to no one if somebody's real with you alright fight them first now now we got that out the way now what's up you ain't scaring me we both know that that's work on whatever we work what we're doing yeah if no reason to continue this so you have your connect now we're 80 what end of 86 were in 87 you have your connect he's showing you how to cook it does the 41 crew exist yet in the form that it it we know it as or does this not come about yet this is still yield artist on the compass starting to formulate like I started recruiting a couple of individuals from Mike building you know I had one or two people that was just holding me down like I had this on the floor with my mom's live next door that was from my mom's apartment was like a crack house and one day I say same floor but I was doing my thing already but I was outside but these individual building flooded yeah the next door I start having a lot of traffic on my floor and I'm like hold up so I went and knocked on the door and I went in there and I saw all this was going on in here and there was somebody in there that was hustling that was from there no that's what took you to a bad place yeah so I went in there and I said yo you can't rock like that but this is what I would do we could go high five on this door right here and that's how I kind of like started taking those serious and then he didn't take it that serious he was like when his little workers in there and I'm working trying to work 12-hour shifts whatever because you know how it was 24 hours but um I would take 12 hours who take 12 and then at the end of my twelve hours he won't show up for another six hours so then I end up getting out of a day I was getting like 20 hours 18 hours out of the day so whatever whatever time was your time whatever time was his time he had yeah and if he if he came late it was his problem you held it down till he came yeah and then we come switch off so I let him knock but only until his time was up again we can't we can't came yeah no I know no no extension not I wasn't part of this Burger King we have it all way with just 12 hours 12 to 12 whatever you know and even at that point I wasn't really so serious but I was getting money I was already driving when you say getting money this is 87 they would have countered with that 20 rack so whatever the way I can have a week I can access ya know my brother yeah brother yeah that's a lot of money in 86 yeah but not we wasn't on it was like there was no rap money there's nothing I can't even compare it to what was going on that that's it that's the bar I mean if I was getting that kind of money I was spending is just as quick as I was getting it you know saying like sometimes you don't stock money and you're getting it's coming quick you spent it quick what are you - you're 20 now what what AG yeah I was I was on I was 20 I know some people came to get me I was 21 going on 20 - yeah I'm the youngest besides George Boy George we both the youngest is you know Boy George I know of him from the street and I got to know him inside gotcha oh we you know he's actually we turned out to be kind of you know he's a good he's a good dude from what I remember like we was going to court sometime yeah cuz he come yeah they came in two weeks his kids case is like two weeks after mine okay there's like they swept the Bronx okay right crudo crew like that you know so you're you're in 87 you're not making twenty Granary but almost you're you're cooking it up now yourself so now this is still happening out of your mom's house in either wall projects this is still not a mom now you know you're next now we're definitely not at the Mars Christo same floor what's out of Haven - the date when they came my mom's like I I see my son he looks like a million bucks but I don't know what the hell he's doing okay and you know dave was like I whatever like because they wasn't out to get my mom's like that which they know they dirty like that they'll go after your family laughter you know and if anybody who knows federal law you know about conspiracy are you about knowing and willingly and if you knew a person was making money and you was expending that money with them then you was down with them so you're doing these numbers with one ounce one apartment and and and being in the couple workers job in front so when does when does the out of the operation get bigger thought of getting bigger when a lot of people was running into my building and then other guys that lived in the hood were going to stand in front of my building and start trying to like cut through like people be like yo what's up where did I am some dudes used to be like I'm my head that's me and they were like front like they were me because just to get that cell in front of the building got really hot because it was in front of the building now and now people can see that from their windows and the police could drive by Nixie transaction yeah in motion right there in front of the buildings and so we had to you know I was trying to figure out you know what I gotta get these doing some of them didn't even live in front of my building and I used to be like this and go hustle in front of your mom's better than me that's how dude started respecting the hustle and at back then you know if anybody who knows from back then which will tell you that is territorial you know that the game was very territorial like I'm gonna be right here that's gonna be my label it's gonna be my name is the color we rock and you can't violate none of that don't come over here you know it was spots that's what they called it back then you got a spot d'hui spot over the spot a spot like nobody's you know the spot now is where you standing is that's that's your spot wherever you can Spanish oh your computer or they deliver now I don't know if you know they deliver or the pelvin you know they're like oh I think not condoning this we're just being honest about what goes on in America you know but how does how do you clear this building up when it's crowded like this one individual out of time beats if necessary and I have friends who do not have brothers from my bill you know dudes I grew up with I just be like yo what's up you know let's tell this duel he can be out here and if he Susan if he's if he's he beats about it we won't we're gonna stomp him out and only took like one or two examples ooh sorry no screw that phrases I have heard a stomp out about this one universe of God's Universal yeah you're number two with a fistfight in the Bronx I don't know where you else it was like don't fool give stop like it was all about holding your feet up because you know and in yoruba yo what's the plan what about the bodies laying right over ice that was never good cuz rest was all the TVs everybody wanted to buy slam yeah you remember this you remember what to dig is fighting he wouldn't stop you but stomp the Sun like act like it and stomp the ground on I could have stopped I could have stopped you but you also knew that the you know cuz you know that stomp would could lead someplace else afterwards that was you know that would be pretty gets challenged and you want to take the to the next levels guys would take it to the next level or don't don't don't take it to that level squash it whatever like I didn't I never found it in my nature to really be beefing with dudes that I grew up with but for the purpose of just cleaning up shop to regulate what was what I thought was mine they were from your neighborhood I know from eating war people from different buildings you know okay other side but this is also - so this is 8687 this is this is an incredibly impactful drug like this is you know this is this isn't just that's what made me start huh so I understood what it did to me I would understand why they'd be front of you but like I'm a strong character and I seen what it did to me if I mess and they and almost took full control of me about it had not bounced out of it and I tested myself and I just took a gamble one day and I said you know what and part of my story I'm getting detailed of that that gamble that I took but that was the decision that I made the sustain the game live and you know all died in the game either one I was gonna definitely take it to another level and get serious about my hustle because I still had no frame of mind about education and getting my life together and doing like more or less what I'm doing nowadays like my mentality is not even on no hustle is more on you know I'm a personal trainer and that's not do for a living I'm seven certifications you know have licenses like crazy for fitness and that's what I do for a living who was some of the people that you trained or I trained a few long I saw you training gym guy used to train gym I trained Chrissie Wells Lisa Bonet did you listen BAM you des I trained a few people the game James Cruz mm-hmm some of the people died I've been training since I've been you know since I've been home because I've been doing it for like I said like going on 13 years now I mean professional training master level have you been home 13 years how long you know I remember seeing you and you know you I feel like was a car show was the first time I saw you or anything I first time we saw each other there was the car show and um I remember you I remember seeing you know I was surprised by your chipper energy being home you know I've said when they come home the greatest spirit they kind of grab everything else going on but um you are you had a good spirit I feel like I don't know if it was Jim a Fat Joe I don't remember what that was Jim it was Jim I was when we went to your show and I felt like because I know Jim's younger than me younger than you yeah I think I said to him you know Jim do you really know and Jim said trainer he said yeah but I was like I said we knew he knew he knew but he didn't know how it was going he didn't start training with me until he saw me doing some boxing training with a client and he was like yo I gotta get with that dude mm-hmm you know he saw me training he was like I get what that do and then somewhere along the line somebody had said my name my street name and he heard it overheard and he said who's where where that's what names like oh and that's how I kind of put it together and that's and it was he was like my uncle used to talk about you you know and let's get this training on and that's what it was all about like you know um I want to explain to everybody properly you know at the time you know what and I don't even think I was that young well 20 maybe I was 20 I was up right around the same age and you know when people asked for me to describe then you know from afar the crack just looked like in the very beginning as a fad wave like this is the next you know weeds boring or whatever's boring this is the next wave and you know we didn't produce that zombie stealing sell your TV energy that's the reason why crack was such a hypodermic in the old country because of the things that it was making people do and affect psychologically and and the depression state that you get out of it and all the levels of energy that you get that are all negative fun from this and you know I'm surprised like people who sniff coke or whatever they do those same things like a little different it was it was like you spent the coke I feel like for some people they spend their paycheck going their savings and you feel like when that's done I am amazed because that's a more sophisticated get some more money I'll get back to that habit crack wasn't like that crack was back I'm gonna keep smoking and two everything disappears yeah yo it was and and and you know if I want to say to you to anybody who's watching this it's a good and a bad thing you know I you know in talking to French and a few other people you know at the time it's is happening and you're young you know outside looking in it's kind of unfortunate and maybe I'm saying it wrong but people in the street we didn't have the rapper's weren't our idols yet because rappers and sports you know 85 80 it wasn't really achievable you couldn't really that was a hard status to I there was nobody from our neighborhood who made NBA right who or back then and a superstar status and not superstar status but but as people got drafted sort of to the NBA but but it wasn't you know taken um think it's a Mobley okole he was from from the hood and he made it to the NBA but and you know our music starts our music stars were there but they weren't they weren't making more money than the people in the street so you know the street legends was you know was unfortunately I was it was they were idols but where I stood from it was like how I get it like that but not just getting it but the diaper dance suit to jewelry the chicks you know we didn't see the grande the daily grande in front of the house we saw to cause the jewelry the DEP of dance suit and let me tell you something horizontal we got out when we went out yeah and the dapper dance through the jewelry and the cause I want to keep it so 100 men instant [ __ ] that's what it was back then and that was that that was the bar money like that was the bar for you know levels the levels and and it took time crack had to get like three four years in three because I'm gonna tell you the cycle early crackhead would cycle in and cycle out and then you get a new set up you see a new set of people in the streets zombied out and then they go away because they just got too far when a with a dead homeless no money to come around so you didn't really see the complete devastation in 86 and 87 because it was still so new it was it I've never seen a drug hit this hard unless you have after like I've never seen a drug hit so hard take out so many families take out you know and you know piss people who died from that you're stealing you get robbed and you go to jail cops kill you or whatever it might be I mean it was and you started to feel terrified of a personal crack because you know they don't rob you and do it have to do to get that but that and in in that time period now you lighten up the building the money's coming you now when you when you get this package where you're able to get it on your own and cook up how does that increase your money now like like when you start doing everybody being the host instead of buying in retail you're buying in wholesale what's the most the height your height I shoulda number is that you know because I know that because cuz that I know it just that you know when we read the paper I don't but said 20,000 a day any but a day yeah okay allegedly $20 money in the wall my [ __ ] was nuts so you know I was nuts right it was like like like we were trying to pitch it in the jacks like it was like that's in the wall like how does it because I didn't keeping that in the wall like how much are they pulling down I'm like what was loose I feel the numbers were more I'll keep it like that I feel like I feel like that's a big number but I feel the number was more cuz I'm not cuz I feel like if you're doing that that's not the team like that you have individual team that you have the 41 crews moving like numbers of what kind of alright money I was making oh I'll give you an example and some of 88 I spent like a million dollars just spent some time this is from like June to the end of the summer I get out of yeah just going places taking care you know you know if you saw me you saw my crew and you could you know I'd like to tell you now everybody what everybody look when I got off the phone would she like me and you talked I'm gonna tell you why we're first time I saw you I didn't recognize you because back then you couldn't really tell who which one was Guiteau because all y'all had to do was the big chains cause and and and suits so if you like to really stand then you wanna look at my guy and you weren't loud drive the flyest car I had mmm just so people could say yo he takes care his people and I that was my thing my things like that you if you if you [ __ ] with me no matter what I do most in command I'm taking care of my my circle and other dudes from other circles could come at me and I used to be like yo you know I hope you get on long as you don't step on my toes later you saying really didn't care about it and because I'm a pure hustler like and I just feel like I can still I'll do it no matter what if you try change the style of how you was getting money and it affected me in any kind of way I can always reinvent myself again another level anywhere you know because and I had asked Kevin is also what's a little rarer for you is your your in your your in your hood and you're in with the people that you grew up with you know on your team but you're also you're also selling the people who you knew and grew up with and see them take a 100 and 360 degree turn in life did at anytime that concern you didn't anytime did it did affect your your your inner your inside like you know every time I see some happen I was bad or the you know due to the effect of using that drug I will always kind of like blame myself in a certain kind of way like man like but this is what I was doing to get money this was the only the first talent I learnt I got you know men have many talents he's got to know how to pull it out of them have you put them in certain environments and that's how you would see their talents you know and don't the first thing I learned was what I was exposed to was hustling and then I tried to do that and I was good at it I ain't like and anything else I tried to do after that I probably was good at it too but just that that's the first thing I chose to do you know I never really focused on the school because I had no role models I was going to school mm-hmm and I really didn't look at where's your father in your home when you were young now I grew up my mom's raised me my pops lived in still in the Tremont area and he worked in West Farms he had two jobs but my father was never like a hustler he was more my father was a musician actually that had two jobs he used to play every instrument he's to go to like night social clubs up and down Tremont and he played like no Southside music and all that in Spanish area he knew how to play all instruments and he also painted used to be on he did all those renovated buildings that they was burnt down all up and down Tremont area whatever he would get like contractor crossbones to paint the apartments and then he was also work for the housing department and you know housing the West Farms he was getting my father got kids I got sisters you know you know I considered half sisters and half brothers still all my family you know big shout-out to the silvers big shout-out to the nazario's that's all my family you know they all be into hand boy like I'm come from a handball family like we fell out of handball and all that and you know he raised everybody he raised you know all my sisters and all my brothers and then all my [ __ ] when you were young yeah well cuz my mother used to soon as I was old enough to get on the train by myself I would shoot down the treatment and go stay the weekend like when I got out of school just to get away from the hood I will go over there no this was when I was in like junior high school I was young I was married John way before evie house was is anything like that I was going back and forth to my pops crib on the weekend he ever figure out what what later on yeah cuz I came around I came around flooded with jewels and and he just looked at me he was like this he said be careful like he had to ask me what I was doing it set it all over me you know mm-hmm and you know how you know walking up and down for them and I'm days whoa this kid okay that was always a little bit smaller than 35 pounds soaking wet heavier than me in the neighborhood that was always the thing was your age yeah you know what how young you were oh yeah yeah time you know like like you know everyone's older when I caught that charge you know when I caught that ferry case um I was 21 so when you catch this case right and I know you said you spend a million dollars that summer that's not including what your crews spent out but what does what does your crew well how many members does I get up to roughly I mean it went you know numbers of members fluctuated that could be anywhere between 30 and you know 20 30 guys you know it kept going up so they that million is just you that's not what that's not what that's not what's sir no we're not gonna counting with those money but I'm just I'm painting a picture for you I know what he knows Lido mom just painting a picture that that number was one person now we're we're a Burke rule 30 I'm gonna do the math bro if you if they do it half what you doing what's the math on that that's what's that 15 milli 15 if you do half of 30 they all bringing it by hey I'm not blowing anyone up like I just it's not a bread bro that's a lot of like so like I said in you know there's no detailed amount you saying it's not like there's a talent involved anywhere in here and allegedly days want to talk about public information and what I got what I did time for allegedly days China they were saying I went through like 150 keys a a year Wow according to their math you know so we'll keep it like that that's what that's what I did time for and I mean I copped out copped out to that to that charge how I want I want to take you to something I want to take you to right before I'm gonna take you to I'm gonna take you to the day of right I'm taking the day out day of now we know the numbers you're pulling down everything's happening I'm gonna try to paint the picture I'm assuming to cause a park near front right I'm just giving you soon did you have an inkling a feeling that they was even looking for you or you you you knew you mean you mean the place the point where I thought I was going to jail well know before you at the time when you huh sooo that you say I I know what I'm doing I could go to jail for this that's time you accept did you feel anything baby did you feel a feds in any way before the day they came in got you did yeah you felt they were watching you yeah I saw them I watch them watch me okay today what I knew they were watching because I'm being followed you know I was being followed like I'll be on the highway doing a buck 20 past the state troopers and they don't pull me over mmm cuz there was a night behind in my rear view mirror all the time and I would watch you okay wanna follow me I'm only gonna get some [ __ ] like I wasn't really at that point at that time when I was really getting you know a couple of dollars my day was shop Oh highlight a girl check on you know the circle everything good no beef today I feel like that was the same and you said no beef I want to I want to back up because every day was something going on the back up I want to back up to the things that you would mention them we talked on the phone and I had room of it but you cleared it up for me a little bit so you would you you had mentioned it that at one time you had gotten kidnapped this had to be did now this in the eighty seven eighty six times eighty eight now okay now did you know who did it he never got to the bottom we never really knew what happened I got kidnapped twice but the first time was like a carjack uh-huh I didn't know them and the second time was like my name got mixed up into something I really didn't do honestly to this day per se from my heart done and then had nothing to do it and you know individuals came at me and was like yo you was part of this and they caught me off guard you know where are you at this time you Bronx right now fighting by my hood hood and um they just caught me off guard in my own hood and you know took me for a ride asked me a lot of questions and I answer them truthfully like you I had nothing to do with that and then you know they let me they just like y'all go ahead but when he let me go I was all y'all will never get close to me again like that mm-hmm you know that's the the greatest military guy can get touched know I can never say that either but I just felt that in my heart like you know what you know how that is like yo you're gonna keep everybody's gonna keep a distance from me and I'm gonna keep a distance from everybody and done anything that looks negative or alarming or harming to me I'm gonna stay away from and that's how I started running for a while like one I would never stay nowhere more than five or ten minutes keep it pushing keep it moving yeah so like I wouldn't I will go to a Sinestro rooftop but I wasn't going in there staying in there all night but it was all pass through back in the car accidents never felt it S&S felt I could get a girl in here tonight and I could die in here tonight like you felt like you really felt like that like and then you say it's almost like an to have that instinct like like if it's getting in SNS club SNS was an after-hours Club where they sold drugs but they partied as well played music I knew did you start child right right right by Willie burger and but you if if you had a girl with you you know you'll pass through SNS for a second is setting a tone no more liquor and we leave in or um you go and meet a girl you know it's understood if I'm eating your 5:30 a.m. in the morning this is we're going to continue the party elsewhere so yeah that will director say you enjoyed going in the music on me flag starts out one of the breasts in P night pretty routine oh he wanted to fly Snickers on that mic make you feel like us amazing like a superstar in there you feel good he's putting on the joints and you won't with you somebody shouting you if you nobody you want to see how you get to shout you but it was definitely a moment in time that's usually after rooftop so let me before you go there and you got asked me that question about like when did I know I was being watched or whatever you know I like kind of you know you feel you feel a sense of like anxiety or nervousness that something's going on like you feel like something's gonna happen you know and I I felt that for the first time I don't want to go buy this car and I sat in the car and I said to myself if I buy this car I'm definitely going to jail well call Ferrari and I wasn't trying to push a Ferrari in the Bronx and I was wanting to do that but I really thought about it and I was one time that I didn't just buy out of impulse like it's cuz I wanted it I really thought about us and now I'm not buying that car meanwhile New York this is very all of this actions happening a few doors down from the 47 precinct I just want to give you the landscape of the area so you understand what this is okay this is the 47 precincts right there right like oh no I'm sorry there were two precincts back then between involved it was there was the housing that had a precinct in there I think I'm underground join us something or lower-level not it used to be lower but they like two buildings down yeah transit was housing no this is New York City that they um they converted all the housing police to regular - regular police yeah they used to have a buddy had a Bruin orange car absolutely they were getting no respect security NYC police so um before you correct me if I'm wrong in that area was Joe Pratt correct was he like in that he was in that Eden wall area I mean he tried the generation before you definitely a generation before me you see someone that you knew or met at any time I've heard no I I heard of I've heard of him before I got in the game huh and once I got you know once I started getting a little known I started hearing about him more no affiliation and him like individuals you stink because he's from there I'm from dead we rang bells whatever rumor had got around like out you know we were under his wing and this and that but you know like we had no affiliations really I try to keep my distance I was painted out to you though you know last time we spoke about if you know another leader and a whole crew of dudes and you have you you know you you you have a whole crew of dudes and you're a leader you really don't want to mingle with that other guy because I don't know if that person is being watched already but I could be like feeling like I'm not being watched but I could be being watched and then that person go mingle with me and then they on him so just for the street cold like we I would just stay away from certain dudes that was ringing bells like that too because and and now and and I learned that from somebody else because I have went around a circle of other individuals that I was getting getting money and when they saw me they was like yo what's up what's up yo but we out of here and I was like what's on the chip nah yo u ha and I was like back then you HOT me he's like they watching you you know and game later on hot means you telling you know so like is he hot that means he could be telling or they could be watching so the street slang changed a little bit but it kind of you know means almost the same thing but one is innocent other one is not mm-hmm understand like just being watches an innocent thing have you telling us I might and you it's not innocence you doing something you doing dirt to the next man that's you in the same game you know and I don't care like I didn't really coming here to talk about like snitches hot stuff like you know just you know that's how my code and my policy of what I believed in what was right and far as being on the street and sticking to the rules of the street so what what you remember the day you got arrested what day was it April 27 1989 so this happens you go in you you they already telling you what this is about right you don't know I hate the once when they snatched me they wasn't talking about nothing they was just we mean we need your body and put you right here thank god you're gonna see a judge and and and and you think man hand I'm thinking we're going to Rikers Island know what I'm thinking I'm going to Bronx Criminal Court and like I'm in a van and you know one way to Manhattan you know when it's feds from the gate I mean I heard of the feds I knew they existed I knew they could have been watching us or whatever but the minute they came at me I see in a different style of police and I was like oh this is these are fit these dudes US feds and you could see by the way they carried herself or whatever just the way they did everything not only that they took us to Manhattan mm-hmm like so I was thinking you know you get arrested I'll take you to Bronx screaming and calls you from the Bronx you go to you that's the first time ever being arrested for this but since you've been since you was in street like like that heavy yeah of course that's the first time this is the first time I was just using got convicted and and just you or who else he took that day he took my whole crew on one day they just found out where everybody was at one time and he went right at the scene well they wasn't even so they wasn't even all there and we was all oh you wanna block you were where you weren't even in well I lived in the valley you lived in the valley yeah when I got knocked at the time yeah I lived in the valley I had a private house in the valley so should they get you they get you and your whole team in this nice creation that's not me and two three guys that were with me and then there was a few of them playing basketball a few of them was shopping on fault on the food but when they ran down they ran down everybody at the same time so nobody can notify the other person you know guess what happened whatever you know nobody give me simultaneous in order to 216 so now this happens you go in it's 1989 like where does it go from here feel man now when you when you I guess the next day you hear the charges yeah like Tom yeah well are you surprised I don't know what a surprise we we surprise the day so much I knew that something could happen one day you know but how did they they got this information from watching you not from somebody telling them yeah this is watched a was watching you you keepin it real like I can't say I was the smartest hustler I could say I was one of the dumbest hustlers because of you know how some dudes be like oh damn somebody telling on me and you walk away his name is on the back of his shirt you telling on yourself by wearing all that [ __ ] I was wearing too much jewelry too much I was too young to have all the stuff that I had so that's telling on yourself right there like that's insole it over there bro not bright is is bright you know not that many people was a successful rapper at that time that you can blend in you know they look like there was 10 of 15 yeah you know the closest thing would be somebody like you know there was like you know there was at the time you know yeah DST and you had you know um you know Bambaataa you had a you had things from the boss surgery was generating money but the flash and wasn't there you know the cause of the flash of time yeah but you it was I had like a I had like a downtown look in the Uptown area absolutely which was made me stand out not to mention I'm Spanish light-skinned come from the area mostly blacks and Nadia we had a few Spanish families all around sprinkled around there you know at the time so I easily stood out mm-hmm I probably wanted that attention you know when you're young like that you're getting that money whatever you want people to look at you look for that attention you know and that's my whole point like speaking today like you know I just feel like I need to UM put out a message that you know like if anybody was ever affected by me in any kind of way you know I just feel like I was a part of my youth for part of ignorance it was something that I didn't know what I was really doing it's you know far as affecting people I mean I knew I was getting money and I knew I was taking chances but affecting other people's lives and in direct other parts of their family and other things that they had to go through and result of using the drug that I provided I didn't force it on nobody because everybody know about the hustle game if you got it you want to get high you know where they get it from me nobody putting a gun to your head tell you to take to smoke crack correct I mean if it was available and you and you put it in the right words my brother just now you know in the way you explained it and apologizing I think that no no that's um I would no way try to glorify what I did is just that I had a name and now because of that you know I live people look at me as of some sort of representative from my hood on a positive note because now what I do now like I did my thing it was part of my youth I did my time for it when I came home I chose not to live that life you also didn't cooperate you know nobody nobody in my case did you also didn't cooperate so all in all 16 people who I think cabs was the same thing I think cabs was 22 and it came down to some numbers but then I think no one cooperating on cab statements there was too many of us away you know there was there could have been so-called individuals that had rumor that they might be flipping or whatever that's down the third and really on at the end of the day my whole crew for one is a bunch of brothers that I grew up with since we were childhood friends and I love all of them at the end of the day regardless of what you know I we all copped out like most of us copped out on most of them month cody's they all copped out first in order for me to get the you know my cop out because they was trying to they're gonna try to force me to trial at one point but once the order truck no I didn't go to trial I took a cop out but everybody else and my but they call it a global cop-out or the other co-defendants that under me on the indictment had to cop out first then once they copped out then it was just left me when you guys could be we communicate you get it you're allowed to you're supposed to unless they put you on a separation but we was an on separation the only time they really will put you on separation if somebody's doing something that's not right and they trying to keep you separate from the other you know other part of your crew but not these guys you know believed in me from Germany wasn't giving up no bail feds don't give up bail like that did you have my money you ain't getting out on bail they don't care who you are but um like I said they all copped out and then they gave me my cop-out which was on supposedly in the beginning 27 to 34 years on the cop out and I went meaning meaning you're eligible for parole after 34 years or you got to put that time in like what does that mean like when you got to put that um if they want to come the feds they give you whatever number you get you do like eighty-seven point one percent of that number that they give you and if you get good time that's part of the good time and then I don't know how to laws there hasn't been any laws being changed within the last few years I know a lot of guys were released on a pardon recently after Obama left office but um the law I really hasn't changed that much since then um I was sent us under the 1987 guidelines but then they had the 1994 Crime Act that came out after that and I was on I didn't it didn't had nothing to do with me and it doesn't apply to my case or nothing like that was that an increase or decrease in mom increase and like the way they did the parole system and there's a reason why I was saying that's cuz of you do to 87 percent of the number which is like they say they gave me 25 let me back up a little bit cuz on I didn't get to tell you so I went to the court room and thinking that I was going to get anywhere between 27 and 34 years but the judge said um two points all for accepting responsibility meaning yes I was doing what I was doing I'm not telling I'm just admitting to my crime so I can get this cop out you know I'm saying so he was like you accept responsibility so I drops you down two points whatever so I'm giving you three hundred months so I thought I'm you know I didn't know what three hundred months if they were thinking years you expect them they're gonna say years to you and then he comes out with 300 months so I was like right away told my lawyer you know students calculate how many is it that he was like 25 my he already knew the map so he's at 25 years so that was my sin I'm surprised yeah I mean I wasn't surprised because I was by the time I got that sentence I was a very locked up for a year and I was already accepting the fact yeah I was looking at these dudes get hit in the head they were going to court they were gay guys your team are just all three hands they were coming through you know getting hit in the head with with heavy numbers you know and yeah he was one that was like yo no he knew he wasn't gonna get a cop out because he's forced to try whatever but he was one of the ones I yo cop out man get that number they could give it to you and a couple of other old G's I was before my time legendary from other areas was telling me - mm-hmm you know if they gave you a cop I'll take it you know they don't offer that to everyone now when you go to trial they shun it in a way trying to save money by not you know if you don't go to trial and you cop out you save their money the court fees lawyers going back and forth you eliminate the process ahead let's run him into the system his point system means she gets this amount of years put it in you know they log it in and you start doing your time see you later and so that's basically what happened they gave me the 25 and then I was in for 10 years and I fought this gun case I hide and I beat it music gun case 924 C we know but the gun case from before you went in why he wins part of the case they gave me a they gave me 20 years for a 48 and 5 years consecutive on top of that 24 9 2014 use of a firearm in the connection of a drug trafficking crime look so the wording was wrong use because they never really said I used anything they never had proof of me using every any any gun so it was like and a lot of people who had fought that case the United States versus barely have fought that case and they they gave time back on to that so somebody asked me oh you got a 924 C and I got yeah oh sure and they helped me do my paperwork and six months later they knocked off fine I thought there was they knocked off five years but I was under the impression that they were going to take they were gonna knock off five years and enhance me two points back and give me 36 months back out of the sixty which is you know but um I believed it and I just didn't know about them too the law had changed somewhere in between when the prosecutor sent me a letter saying yeah we're gonna enhance you these to these points and you're gonna get another thirty six months on top and we're gonna take the sixty back but put 36 back so you're really only getting like 2 years knocked off two three years knocked off instead of the whole five so I'm not but the judge wrote a letter saying that it's he was sentenced under the 1987 guidelines where the law to enhance a person and for you know and give them the point system didn't even apply at the time when he got arrested so doesn't apply to him so I hereby vacate the whole 60 months he's vacated five years off my sentence 25 well you did that happen that's you after it happened in 97 and then some when I was then 10 there was almost so you thought you had 15 had 13 left they took not I they took five off and left me with eight you sounds like I'm on the ten dice all I cared about like when you're doing numbers like that you just count them by fives and tens now you don't really count yeah one year at a time oh you're under yeah Tina last me two three years yeah I'm saying like two three come on take it out yeah change first you know you start with 20 you like I got to get to the halfway mark and then that ten is like I got to get to the highway marker again like you always try to break it in half half half you know however you got to break up your babe with the best you know the whole thing is to stay busy focus to try to keep your mind right so you can come home sane man cuz a lot of dudes like you know I heard you said before like dudes come home they they lost it like they're mining where it's that both of being different and I'm not even gonna say I didn't lose a cup of marbles myself you think I'm not gonna stand in front of them be like yo I'm completely saying cuz I had to go through something like psychologically the Fed system is all about that that's what they do they they work on your cycle on your cycle you know the psychological level they work on you they don't it's not like the state states like a lot of physical stuff going on and mental but the feds is more mental they play a lot of head games that's just their thing did you ever wasn't worried about dying in there yeah yeah then a daily thought that's a daily thought I think for anybody that be locked up you know you don't you don't want to die in prison no you don't get to come home to see your parents your mom's or other family and kids that you that's been waiting for you you know my son my son grew up without me you know and thank god he's he's successful like he was able to focus and go to school and he's like me to the third power when all educated like you know my son's a chemical engineer yes yeah yeah he's he's actually doing great you know very proud of him and I have another son that's three you know I got a two-year-old very smart kid you know I'm proud of what I did since I've been home well you you immediately got into personal trainer and study last one came home yeah you'll blessed to get a couple of celebrities under your belt and you know I know you talked to me about you you love to speak to the kids and you love to share your story you know not to glorify it but to show people how differently yeah I just want to make sure that um that young guys could and girls whatever could give themselves better options in life you know like look first don't go don't go and do the first thing you see that everybody else is doing and decide that's gonna be your thing that was my mistake that was really when I made a wrong choice in life I saw hustling first thing I was exposed to and the first thing I tried to do and then I because I was having so much fun with it I thought that was just me like no and I'm just I feel like I'm more broader than that my spectrum his way broader than that and you know I plan on doing much more positive things and I think that you know this my story can can open up other doors for other people and you know give somebody something to look at so they can measure weight without having to go do it themselves mm-hmm these great words and I appreciate you you know I you know I've seen you several times I mean well you see that we bomb you know the thing was in Oh 608 I think it was but we saw correct and it was almost 10 joint and um I was home oh six I came home I said and the oh five going the whole six when you when you walked out when you came out where were you rigid you motion would you do your time when you walked out like what where I went home from Fort Dix New Jersey Jersey New Jersey for Dec so I didn't believe I was I just never really believed I was gonna be out until the I actually was out even on the last day so when you I was thinking while I was putting my clothes on sunlight they're gonna come and be like no you ain't going nowhere this is Nana you know like except just so you should [ __ ] because you become like that because they sell so many dreams to you and your mind starts thinking you ever try to ask somebody you're gonna do me that favor and they go I'm gonna do it and then you go you're gonna do me a favor and I ask the same question again cuz you need to verify need to be sure all the time you walk it out with that does you walk out of Fort Dix it was there now 0:06 yeah I was picked up I had you know I got married in there okay I got married this is this now hood sweetheart yeah from my hood from when you was locked up when you got locked up she was your girlfriend um no okay she started coming to see me and writing me letters and all that while I was locked up and we end up getting close to me I'm getting married she came and you married me might have been there you know I'm curious did she know your ex yeah well she do oh well okay names they have for each other okay Wow yeah big shout-out to Michelle big shout-out Cherise toes and my you know exes but uh past friends and future friends how about that now you know everything's like I love my love to other people I ever touched base with man for real like I never really wanted to have a negative impact on anybody but I definitely wanna know that everybody know that I that I've been around and I got nothing but love for everybody I mean like I just want to live good be happy you got that energy for because you know look for me being the first time I'm you know I'm wondering which keto are you you know I'm gonna you know I'm like whoa I get a lot of you know these orders of portrait I thought the exercise [ __ ] was the front was like if it wasn't it was a great plan because I was like he's mixed up with all this music business he's run away he's running with this lovely song I'm so fast and they can't know what this guy yeah one point I guy he controlled a portion of the Bronx they can and it was young holla you know but then you you your energy I could tell man you were that you want the Biddy was building your business you about what to your Instagram you know I think we stopped buying something you were you know you'd have me on an exercise game and I'm positive I can tell you I can tell you know you you you're in that space back to that day you come out I know I don't know but I want to know from you you have to have these images of what you think it's like to be out right was alarming to me yeah when you William forget when you like BAM 40-something jerseys like what what was that like why the day when I came home man like we was racing on you know she picked me up so we racing on the highway you know dropping no she's driving I wasn't driving I wasn't ready to jump behind the wheel yeah I was too nervous for just being out there like you know it was crazy like once I came to like the neighborhood was the first stop you know the not income no I went straight to the halfway house I had to go to report to a halfway house for six months okay and then I did five years supervised release after that roll for five more years after I've been so technically 2010 I'm off everything yeah but I really found it weird that the whole world had a cell phone everybody I start with driving me nuts I was like I used to I'm telling you Iceland anybody got like I started yes not there no phones in where you were when I went away there was no cell phone only when we had was those motor rollers like the only thing we was rocking and then when I came home like everybody had a cell phone I really even seen like little kid walking down the street he's like and you don't like everybody has a cell phone so that was one of the things that strangers just kind of made me I don't we sort of caused huh well you saw all the cars would you like you know like yeah I was called man so I'm always on the car even when I was inside I just get all the car books I said look every magazine I had all the nice guy I'm up on cars like I came home up on cars and computer-literate okay you know those are the two things I focused on when it comes to like just being educated with like know about cars know by every kind of car that was out what they had changed about them throughout the years and stuff like that and then the farm I just took all the classes I could when I was in there you know I got like 23 different search VT courses that I took when I was in there anything I'm you know things from computers to a parenting to drug counseling and all that electronic certification I came home with two Fitness licenses associate's degree in business management so I was preparing to get back into or to get back into the world the last three years before I came home I started really narrowing down okay now you got the education I now what is all you really gonna do like what are you gonna do what job you're gonna pursue which what you're really gonna go do and then so you know they were offering certification courses for personal training and I took it I took the got pass one when I was in RA Brooke the majority of my time in Redbook or their 10 years straight there where's 11 New York upstate like near the Adirondacks I always say that they move you closer to home when you're getting ready to give Ronnie release program it's going near release so they they put me on that they didn't have that when I started my bed mm-hmm they had the opposite actually it was like they sent me straight to California mm-hmm sentence beginning what's the purpose of that the opposite break up everything breaker you away from your family okay break go away psychologically to like so that there was their thing I'm still in the West Coast three years the first three years that's why I told Jon memmer to Lou okay at the time this was armed Tupac step on the correct okay I just happened to be in the same unit they put me in the maximum security unit so like dudes I were in the unit was like why you in this unit cuz you're from because yourself what is this you could you're so far away or like no no the unit of the jail was the maximum unit of the prison like they put me in the highest security unit and then he warning for nothing violent no but that's usually there was just because of because of the case of whatever cuz I don't know I mean it been space or whatever I don't know what the reason was but I ended up in the morning a wall overall was there's a lot happening allegedly so I got to meet him you know and he taught me a lot of you know he told me a lot of things about bidding how to do time and keep your head right it's a very sharp individual and I've learned it was the brother like that everywhere I went no I always scooped me and pulled me to the side and said yo you got potential for greatness and you need to channel that [ __ ] into something more positive and you know I know you're here but guess what now you can focus on your turn like and then this that's what how I spent my years like I was up on the latest videos bTW on TV but I didn't sit there all day and be watching the same video over and over it's a difference and I used to go to no school when I had to go work out and I had a job I thought of routining myself with waking up in the morning and going to a job consistently you know and some things that the federal system does can benefit you like they you know they have these IDs which that the you know every every inmate gotta have an ID and they taught me how to budget my money electronically mm-hmm everything is electronic and believe it or not that trains you got trained you to learn how to budget your money banker council out into the world yeah so when you come home it's the same thing you got a debit card you know how to use it keep track of your money and it's kind of like training for the streets which is no I took it I try to take everything that they were doing and turn a positive note into a light you know what you're gonna get me like this but this how I'm gonna benefit off it no like that was my thing you know um I commend you for being here this amount of years later and not just fine and positivity but being positive and looking to help your community because a lot of people usually don't choose to do that and I appreciate you coming in sharing your story because I know I called you off-guard I call in and uh you did say that if I had called you may be a little prior to that it may not have been something you'd have been into yeah and but I appreciate you sharing it and saying what's right from wrong and also admitting to your mistakes and also rectifying your mistakes serving your time and wanting to help your community I think is very positive and it's a great thing you know let's let's turn it into something any way I can help you do that my brother me if definitely not appreciate I'm here for you and I appreciate you Tom and you sharing your life with us you know what it is one more thing yes sir do not play handball big shout out to Gunther Park all my people cause my thing goes like so we call it a Gunther Park wait that Park is oh you
