Fishing the GALVESTON SURF for SPECKLED TROUT!

hi what is up y'all welcome back to the channel and thank you for clicking on today's video so today I have a nice surf fishing video for y'all and if you're from the area you know that the surf recently the beach has been nice and clean and clear all the way in like when you're in the water you can see your feet whenever you're over Waist Deep which is just unheard of for the area and it's been like that for probably around like three weeks give or take a few days which is just insane but the fishing has been weird it's been dying out super early and at first everyone said oh it's a moon phase blah blah blah but I don't think it is I think what's really going on and this is my theory you're not gonna leave a comment down below let me know if you agree or not is that since the water is so clean and the fish are not used to it usually Galveston is dirty water and that's fine the fish are okay with that because usually the fishing is pretty good but since Gauss is dirty water and right now it's super clean the fish are not used to that whatsoever so in the mornings the fish are up on the beach really shallow feeding in the surf like crazy but as soon as that Sun Peaks over about 7 7 in the morning they all just dip and Scatter out to deeper water and the bite dies off and that is what I have seen a lot of people saying too that the body is just ending super early in the mornings and it's good in the afternoons and like honestly it's really good at like four to six a.m in the morning which is just crazy I'm not gonna wake up at 2 30 or 3 A.M to head down there and go fishing in the pitch black darkness with that being said though in the video you're about to see I did catch quite a few fish but it was exactly what I just explained the bite died out at like seven and welcome back to another beautiful morning down here on the Texas coast today we're on the beaches of Galveston Texas we have an amazing Sunrise coming up behind us I know it's a little bit grainy light's not too good Sun hasn't even came up yet just now starting to peek over and y'all look at the surf this is about as flat as it gets down here a few weapon catching trout like crazy the water's supposed to be nice and clean pretty clear for this area about as clear as it gets so we're about to hop in the water we're gonna be throwing lures and start for the top water then throw some soft Plastics y'all stick with it stay tuned let's see if we can hook into some nice big old speckled trout off the beach enough it's Castle today we got our first pickle trowel here on a top water just a little guy a little mail honestly he is a keeper he's only got to be 15. we're gonna let him go tons of bait out here this morning I can see Fish blowing up I can hear fish blowing up around me the top water which is a goal for today so see if we can get some more we're showing this first guy standing by needing casting no more than waste deep with the amount of bait in here the fish will be up here feeding like crazy I've seen blow-ups around me it's gonna be a good solid morning second shot of the day y'all just kind of on your lure I cast my top on it fell right off put on the mirror done there we go once again a little like right at 15 but we'll go ahead and let him go try to get a couple bigger ones a little John that's what did the trick they're like 10 cash with the top water caught that one no more blow-ups and then it I casted in my line snapped top water went flying here's my only one there we go back to back I've just done the voodoo shrimp I couldn't hook anything hooked up again it's like a little bit of a better trout [Applause] beautiful Clearwater they also seen these fish down in it let's see if we can get them in no net today just grabbing them gotta play them out when you do this damn he's just not ready surf charges don't give up we'll go on the Stringer right there it's a better fish absolutely choke that lure they're feeling good right now bring them up get that hook out thank you fish on the street y'all see if we hook him again there you go another one right there nice fish another nice trout man that was a weird bite he just barely ate it barely hooked on barely hooked if he comes off I wouldn't be surprised it's really hooked in the corner hold up bro I caught one on top I've already caught my limit but I just don't I just I'm only keeping these I caught two like right over 15 throwing back no maybe three right over 15. they're just straight out honestly they're pretty close though I caught a top water one to the left and then I cast in my top water broke off so now I'm stuck without the top water do not do a voodoo for like 10 15 cast didn't even get a bite through this on and I've gotten three bites and five casts it's insane [Music] well there you all go that is gonna be it for the video as you can see I did actually have a pretty good morning in the surf I ended up catching my limit but I only put two on the Stringer all the other ones that were Keepers were just at like 15 and a half and I've been catching quite a few fish lately so I just decided to go ahead and keep those a little bit bigger fish but yeah just like I was talking about before the video the bite is just like what everyone's been talking about completely died out at like seven I was fishing with Christian from rgc fishing today and Mark in DLR I'm sure many of y'all know both of them and I felt terrible because right whenever they showed up the bite just completely ended I was really hoping we could all have a really solid day
