FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF INDIA | Old Delhi & Chandni Chowk Market

Wow you know you spent too much time in the executive lounge when the manager brings you her parting gifts so you've used points this day here at the Marriott for the last seven days we've edited a ton of videos got a lot of travel planning done and now it's finally time to go out and explore India so the Marriott is located out by the airport so today we are grabbing an uber to a new hotel that's located in Old Delhi [Music] [Music] that'll be smarten up apparently cost our hotel this is insane well bow boss in the tasket palace [Applause] [Music] so we thought that we had mentally prepared ourselves for the madness of India but I don't think that there's anything they can prepare you for this in the best way possible I think this is going to be incredible and I think this is our hotel it looks closed or he looks nice thank you no I'm saying no idea it's not the Marriot but it'll do looks clean super nice and he spent about ten minutes telling us about all the different tourist scans that we need to watch out for I can't wait to get back out there it's great so we're gonna get settled in here and then we're heading back out and just we're just gonna embrace the chaos our plans for today are to head to the chandi chowk market John Mitchell John Mitchell it's supposed to be for the largest wholesale markets and all of India it's supposed to be completely crazy and I'm really looking forward to this [Music] there's a cow carrying a wagon here's the middle range we've heard the best way to get there is the metro but first moved across this road easier said than done so to ride the Metro you have to buy these little tokens they cost 20 rupees apiece which is about 30 cents you asked for one ride their stuff without a doubt the busiest subway we've ever been on my toe missing a toenail there are at least 10 times more people in the subway than there should be I don't have to hold on to the rail because everybody's respectin so tight they our body is touching at least seven different people right now they're going the right way all these people like backed up and basis with how much everybody was pushing you wouldn't have thought that anybody had any manners but they do welcome to the market this is totally intense so in addition to just seeing the market today we actually have a couple things that we're trying to accomplish first we need to get some clothes because we're going to Holi which is this giant festival where they throw color everywhere so we need some clothes that we can throw away and we're also gonna try to find a protector for the camera not a good place to be walking back Christian talking this is crazy like you it's just really hard to describe there are people everywhere all the other kinds of transportation so much food all different kinds of shops from what I understand this market is broken down into like different sections so there's like a sections of like tools the section of clothes the section of electronics I think we're like the tool section right okay a lot of hammers waiting a lot of places where you just walk around you never know what in the world you're gonna see and this fits that more than more than any place you've ever there over section this one bicycle it's a very good year no they did a whole deal Iran sir my god these guys are intense yes device that can become at how many times you don't know okay then end the cycle very good deal yes you probably know the end of my voice within a red Ford red for the awaiting is then following in the first two minutes okay after here the Rope dinner market your owner thank you yes my first customer my promise only Indian good managers won over 100 rupees probably lets you get the outfit no thank you sorry yes sir this one by the face thank you we can't mentally prepared for this I think as long as you have the right attitude it really doesn't take away from you just kind of have to like embrace it as part of the experience and realize that people were just trying to make a living so we think well on our way to the electronics market to try to find a cover for the camera and everything needs to say so all of these little shops right here there's at least like 15 in a row they're all selling different types of camera equipment a lot of the same types of camera equipment and we're just walking in out of each one seeing what they have and trying to get the best because you are going to collection for a very precious moment so I want that future by oh yeah yeah no it's okay I'm immortal you have to pay them I'm a morning you have to give me your love thank you so much we found the indoor section of the camera market and this fog a rain cover for the camera and to lens covers for $15 from the nicest old man in the world fit our camera [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] scamper over here [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] we're getting up on the surge of the Mo's because it's starting to get dark how are you so I read about this place that's supposed to serve the best stuff 9 and all deli to want to kick off her first meal in Delhi with the bang walking around in circles in this maze looking for this restaurant and this guy was nice enough to draw some mats a couple times sure it'll be harder than it looks thank you invited found the spice market but this is just incredible where else in the world can you experience I'd say we've been walking around for three hours and I know we're close to being ready to leave like I think I can come back walk around all day tomorrow and that would be a fantastic way to spend the day I'm so happy right now all of these things are stuffed non option the bad news is we had no idea what any of we're trying to do it [Music] [Music] yes Oh [Music] they reconstructed arnaud ports by touching every piece multiple dollars away because there's garlic naan and it was so big it wouldn't fit on one plate and you cut it up to play it was so incredible and we got paneer butter masala about you try my first none in India the butter is just like terrific product [Music] everywhere but just shiny with us [Applause] that is good it's like the perfect amount of spice my order and normally doesn't get any better than this but massive chunks of Jesus that was every bit as to its justice Caravan yourself we could not have had a better day and eating the yogurt a breakfast of everything those are two things somebody told us to do we don't know if it'll work fun we came here to eat and we're gonna eat and hope it's getting dark so we were heading back to the subway and calling it a day what an awesome start to India seriously Oh can't wait for tomorrow here's Calvin with a blanket hello there we found looks like with blankets [Music] once the weather in Delhi right now in Delhi it's 84 but is it will be mostly sunny today with the forecast high of 86 and a low of 57 he has an Indian accent Google knows are in India
