so you're looking for a place to call your own that isn't a small cardboard box under a bridge or the drowning wench there will come a point where badron will come for your tab and your kneecaps and I'm here to prevent that from the kindness of my own heart and the numb jolt of pain that is my not so healed kneecaps welcome to the video I'm dying Legacy and I myself have recently moved out of my long-term home for drowning wench in and I think it's time to share exactly how to do that first off there are some requirements before you can jump on the property ladder and begin living the luxurious lifestyle of a property owner and that's reaching level 50 on any of the game's classes or jobs and you must also be a second lieutenant in any of the grand companies for apartments and personal housing or be a ranked six or higher free company for the free company housing and a player can only have one apartment one house and one free company house and there can only be one free company house per free company in the past you used to be able to own multiple but this is since been changed however people who had multiple in the past do still have them today should also be noted that you can buy a personal room at the free company house which is comparable to an apartment and to ensure the plots of land are not claimed and left unused Estates not access for a period of 45 days will be demolished and put back up for sale basically if you own a house and you don't go inside it over the course of 45 days and if not a single member of your FC enters the FC house for 45 days it'll be demolished as long as a single FC member enters or uses the FC house it'll all be grand I actually woke up this morning to an email from Square enex themselves saying hey no one's used your free company house uh we're going to knock it down so the easier method was to just log on and pop on into the house now this does not apply to Apartments Apartments won't be demolished and you won't suddenly be homeless now for the housing itself it's a matter of first choosing the local as a v Walker there are currently five housing regions Tre of which are in the realm of born and the other two being from stormblood and end Walker however we're just going to focus on the realm of born as it's all the same thing and it's just a change of scenery all residential districts have 30 Wards each and the wards are divided into two a primary and subdivision with a total of 60 plots or 30 for each half as well as an apartment complex per each half the lavender beds is the housing area in gania and is my personal choice for aode with lust Greenery waterfalls and Hills I'm Irish so it my heart with pints of Guinness and fairies its entrance is located at the mirror planks docks in bent Branch over in central shroud and players can teleport here from gan's Aid Plaza or by talking to fairy Skipper and West Shore pier near the Lancers Guild after completing the quest where the heart is the lavender beds Edition mist is the housing area for limsa linza and is for players looking for that beach living life or who wanted to feel like they were part of an English property and housing TV show and its entrance is over at Red Rooster stead in Cedarwood of Laura linosa and if you complete the quest where the heart is Mist Edition you can teleport here from the limsa linza aite or take the fery from the fisherman's Guild and limb Lino's lower decks and finally the Goblet is the housing area for olda so if you fantasize about Sun sand and palm trees with no fear of sunburn or getting sand in your crotch this is the place for you you can find the entrance at the 80 sins of saso and hamay of Western tanan and like the rest you can complete the quest where the har is for Edition to access the housing district from alah's Main eighth right or talking to Ivory Sparrow at the steps of Thal near the miners Guild in alah once you've decided upon a place of residence a get away from the adventuring life a safe house a drinking hole a structured box of Shame it's time to get an apartment or some land the land itself is categorized by size and you will be paying Gill comparable to that while apartments are all the same size and price an apartment will cost you 500,000 Gil and you can purchase these straight from the the apartment lobbies in each Warden District just drop some cash and move in right away and the same goes for a free company room of which you need to be a part of a free company that has a free company house and you can buy a personal room for 300,000 Gil for plots of land to build your own house however they are split into three categories you have small plots that support cottages and range from 3 to 4 million Gill you also have medium plots that support houses that range from 16 to 20 million Gil and there are also large plots that support mansions that will set you back from 40 to 50 million Gill and are subject to a housing Lottery as housing is limited it used to be a first come first serve system but this meant no one could feasibly get a house due to people afking plots and autoc clicking to be first so now all you do is walk up to a vacant lot that is for sale and click the placard during a lottery period pay the price of the plot to enter and any number of people can enter for a plot of land at the same time however you can only enter one Lottery at a time for lottery period you can't enter from multiple houses and hope to get one of them you have one shot at one house per Lottery cycle and at the end an entrant is chosen by random if you aren't chosen at the end click the placard to get your money back if you happen to forget to do this and the lottery begins again you will lose that money so be sure to get your refund if you win however you still have to click the plard to finalize the purchase they already have your money so you're covered the lottery itself operates on a 9-day cycle for 5 days people can enter the lottery for a house and for 4 days it enters a result period letting people finalize the purchase and then opening the lottery again for five more days rinse and repeat this goes for every Warden housing District all available houses go up for sale at the same time you have 5 days to enter and then 4 days for everyone to pick up their winnings or losses before it all starts again now due to events such as maintenance these periods may be shorter however when you're trying to buy a house which is done from the signpost outside a house it will give you relevant information information regarding that that's the simple explanation and all you really need to know for apartments when you buy one you can walk straight in and begin decorating simple and effective and same goes for a free company room you do that by walking up to a private Chambers door in the Free Company house and then purchasing one from there actual housing itself however comes with more fees as you only bought the land not the house itself so once you buy a plot of land you then need to buy a housing permit to actually build a house on your newly bought land and note to the wise if you don't do this within 45 days you will lose your plot of land to do this open your social menu select housing followed by a state Hall and lastly purchase construction permit now this will cost you for a cottage it will cost you 450,000 Gil it'll cost 1 million Gill for a house and 3 million Gill for a mansion you also can't build a smaller house on a larger plot of land if you bought a large plot you can only build a mansion if you bought a medium plot you can only build a house house and if you bought a small plot you can only build a cottage once that's done you can build a house you have a choice between a woodh house composite house or Stonehouse as well as respective themes such as granian Alon or lenen houses these are just cosmetic and you can change how the houses look afterwards but choose the one you like most for the time being as this builds the house initially before you can change things up yourself not to mention seal the deal of owning the whole place later on you can decorate your heart's content from the exterior to the interior however you please this goes through the doors windows Roofing walls downstairs upstairs flooring and the fencing and even the plard itself as well as decorate the inside and outside with items and NPCs the land is yours after all you can buy these from The Market Place craft them yourself through in-game professions and jobs or buy from the housing vendor that's present in each Ward and apartment Lobby I'm not going to go over how to place items and how to decorate as that's a whole video in and of itself and this is just a
