Ferrari 488 Pista vs McLaren 720S vs Lamborghini Aventador SV: DRAG RACE!

hi everyone Matt Watson here from Carlisle so I'm sat in a Ferrari for a take pista next to me is a McLaren 720's and next to that is a Lamborghini Aventador SV and of course we're gonna have a drag race so this has a 3.9 liter twin-turbo v8 with 720 horsepower and 717 Newton meters of torque so a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with launch control and it drives the rear wheels it weighs 1,300 and 90 kilos and when it was news about 250 grand however now it's gone up in value 300 grand this thing is worth that McLaren it has a 4 liter twin-turbo v8 with 720 horsepower and 770 Newton meters of torque it also has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and drives the rear wheels it weighs fourteen hundred and twenty kilos and when that was new it was 210 thousand pounds though it has depreciated a bit now it's with a Napoli 180 maybe 150 depending that Lamborghini it has a six point five liter naturally aspirated v12 so it's old-school still produces the most horsepower though 750 horsepower that has at least talked 690 needs of meters it has a 7 speed automatic gearbox but no deal clutches oh no but it does have all-wheel drive as a result it is a bit heavier than these cars it weighs 15 70 kilos price-wise new it was three hundred fifteen thousand pounds and it's probably worth about that today to tell you the truth it doesn't depreciate really it's gonna be stuff anyway let's get on with it what's gonna happen now before we raise it obviously makes sense to do a bit of a sound check so let's have a listen to what this Ferrari sounds like who says turbocharged cars can't sound nice this is sweet come on McLaren give me some resin I hear what your car sounds like is that the best it can do even when it lets you rev all the way out it doesn't sound great come on Lamborghini I bet you could do better than that let's get on with a race [Music] oh come on that my boys are four-wheel drive is for the way oh this is squirrely don't touch it the hell is going on there what happened there Lamborghini off the line first but then what happened Phil what happened I hit the ball on the ground before they would make you do that so you now know where the pothole is yeah good runway this I was all over the place this is struggling for tract and parts ahead of that McLaren I'll tell you what let's do that again where we don't have a Lamborghini hitting a pothole McLaren I'm just looking over your car and there's a huge panel gap that I could probably fit my fist through just above the front wheel is the IP package to get no panel gaps on a course million pound car so I'm not sure whether you're joking oh that's true it could be true but I think it's a joke right [Music] must be the McLaren that works as well because I had one for seven months and it was 24 days all right guys stop the chitchat let's go with the race and see which car is actually the best [Music] come on got hired on that side [Music] this stuff come on [Music] say what you like about McLaren they are fast absolutely insane I got a good lawn chair better than him so do you Paul that time Lamborghini now I know so that was a perfect run apart from the fact that you were beaten by two of the reward drive cars yeah that might be true in my nocturnal what's more annoying is that the McLaren went over all Andy what happened some people put flicks on him in a pound here just like he was like you had a hundred horsepower more I do not believe those cars do just 720 this is 720 that's 720 and your car came past me quite easily so then what exactly happened well the McLaren did the standing quarter mile in ten point four seconds the Ferrari took ten point five seconds and the Lamborghini ten point seven seconds now we're gonna have a rolling race from 50 miles an hour with the cars into their normal settings and the gearbox is in auto Ryan guys three two one go blimey [Music] it's a slowest keep down that MacLaren's off that McCarran has just buggered off yeah I love a cow and I know your bottles there is quite a bit more runway left up to the little hump I think we know what happened with that don't we yeah I mean personally man do you forgive the panel gaps I mean they're not really causing that much drag are they bodywork right away okay riding race again this time not in third with the car there's sportiest settings three two one go oh yes [Music] come on Ferrari [Music] come on that McCombs come in now though breaking hard right card brake really hard now we did almost ruin our runway there I like McLaren I think I had the jump on you guys obviously I'm calling it in so I do have an advantage but this thing called Paul Paul but then the McLaren I think you're closing me down won't you this Rory has no discernable lag I didn't notice it it was almost like a naturally aspirated engine the way responded how was it in the naturally aspirated car [Music] same kind of power of these turbos they're all about the torque aren't they you just don't have that in your v12 notch aspirated nice though still a nice engine in it all about the talk specially on the rolling road they were in that rolling race was it mean even did you ever get past me or were you on the brakes before that's almost a draw can at least have something and God for that Ryan let's move on to the last challenge finally then we're going to do the brake test from 70 miles an hour when we hit the line there is a line almost stopped now Ferrari no I thought the Ferrari was gonna win that but the heaviest car worn it was the Lamborghini the old adichie I mean who ever said a Lamborghini Aventador has no acceleration I suppose it's all relative isn't it McLaren you lost one your brakes aren't as good as these two Italian cars well in the end then it was two wins really for the McLaren or win for this dubious in the inky rolling race and a clear win for the Lamborghini in the braking test built cars did ok yes but the McLaren oh my The Lamborghini cycle is almost complete. When the Aventador was released, nothing could touch it. Now it’s at the back of the pack. The next Lambo flagship will be lunacy.
