I think outside of like, a Chiron or Koenigsegg (two cars that you wouldn’t just regularly see driving around), there is really nothing on the street that will currently full match the SF90. Though, the 765LT was pulling and starting to reel it in at the very top end, but didn’t have an answer from a dig. In better conditions, or on a prepped surface, the McLaren would obviously perform a lot better, as would the Ferrari. But, there, in the same conditions, or as similar as they could have gotten, the Ferrari won the day, even with Sanjay redlining the shit out of it, and bogging the first couple of shifts. The SF90 is a ballistic missile.

Proud of Ferrari for making a masterclass of a car. 1000 horsepower at an attainable price in the supercar world. They ain't playing and they deserve kudos for rolling up their sleeves and taking the fight to McLaren, Porsche, and Lamborghini.

Fun fact: The Ferrari SF90 Stradale in EV mode goes as quick to 60 mph as the Toyota RAV4 Prime goes to 60 mph in EV mode as well LOL.

What blows my mind is the now archaic (in super car terms) 765LT, which is running on an older chassis with updated engine/ECU tuning, is able to exchange blows with a 1,000 horsepower, all wheel-drive, hybrid Ferrari that's many years newer. Unbelievable. The 720S chassis is undeniably one of the greatest cars created in the last two decades.

all right here we go 0-60 testing electric only mode [Music] [Music] hey everybody brooks from drag dimes here welcome back to the channel as i promised we finally got the mclaren 765 in the sf 90 lined up for some drag racing and roll racing thanks to john from nsc performance and sanjay and sanjay back here yes john and i have been talking for a little bit about getting together on his private drag strip and uh i always said i wanted to kind of open up an office like right over there you're welcome anytime so we got both cars out obviously we got all-wheel drive thousand horsepower hybrid and the sf9 you saw it running down in puerto rico nine six on the street but without both cars in the same exact conditions it's really impossible to compare different conditions different track conditions different cars different fuels and all that kind of good stuff so now we got both cars together we're gonna do a few dig races um i'm gonna drive the sf90 and do a couple test pulls then get in the 765 do a couple test hits steve i'm gonna get in this 765 because that's my most experience and driving that tends to spin launch all that kind of good stuff and then our good buddy sanjay is going to be in his sf90 this is the asceto fioreno package right so it has the lightweight version and it's got the racing bucket seat so it should be quite a bit lighter than the one we drove down in puerto rico what an incredible spec right here and then of course we got john's 765 lt with the roof scoop beautiful what silver is this it's just the factory silver this is the factory this is the no charge silver no charge option oh wow look at that that's such a safe awesome color the roof scoop yeah 44 000 for the roof scoop right so here we go sf90 765lt what a beautiful spec and of course we're running the drag strip in reverse because there's no prep this will be a real world experience between all wheel drive thousand horsepower wheel drive well they say 755 horsepower what's the dealt on weight so we're at 3 500 pounds they're about probably about 3 500. they say 36.50 of course ferrari not gonna lie sometimes it's a little heavier than they say mclaren's usually right on the button yet this is the lightweight package so eventually i will get one of these on the scale so it's really hard for us to tell i mean you have a thousand horsepower with a little more weight you've got what is it 865 horsepower well i mean i put down 769 down about the same yeah 780 with a little bit so we actually died within days of each other very similar power suit it was within hours of each other i got 30 000 views and you got like 150 i don't know how that happened hit the like and subscribe button right here i appreciate that uh so yeah you know 765's different parts of the country dining very close to each other so you can't really say anything about it different cars different similar dinos yeah but making the same power so really what is the car making realistic at probably about 850 horsepower that's right so we've got clearance under they already understate these cars mclaren basically says it will make a minimum of 750 horsepower and 87 octane in the middle east in the middle 110 degrees right so anything better mclaren just lets the car run with it and make whatever the car wants to make obviously you've seen a best of 9.37 on street tires with me in the 765. 9.6 on the street and the sf90 and my best on the street with the 765 is actually 9.8 but that's a lot of you know when i did that you know i take some time and find the right road and find the right temperature it's actually pretty cold out here today is 44 degrees right now yeah and the in the and the pavement's a little a little cool so we're not expecting amazing quarter mile times from either car you get apple's same conditions all-wheel drive versus rear wheel drive let's see what happens exactly so i'm gonna do a test sit i'm actually gonna do rolling bar ammo try and get these tires which turns you have trafals on there yeah all right so the stickiest tires you can get from mclaren we'll try and get them heated up for sure they need heat so we'll do some rolling burnout see if i can get it heated up see what our best quarter mile times is and we'll do i don't know three to five dig races we're gonna do an arm drop uh with uh john counting down and then we'll get some rolling races done we're actually gonna come around the the curve here at about 30 40 miles an hour and start at the cone down there and we'll run it as fast as uh sanjay and i feel it's safe so uh it's probably at least 150 yeah so let's get rolling and see how it goes thanks john thank you brooke all right have fun thirty sixty [Music] um yeah [Music] oh so [Music] [Music] of humming noise fun fact is the sf90 does not have a reverse gear it uses the electric motors in the front wheels that go into reverse i wonder what happened the battery was dead and you had to go in reverse anyone know it never lets it go just enough to get you in reverse all right here we go doesn't look real fast i'm going to admit but it sure is quiet i think i got him in the ford escape rental car i think i got him what do we guess in john what do you guys zero to 60 on the uh on that run 7.2 7.2 what do you got nine nine going with nine that looks really slow i'm going to go with 8.3 8.3 to 60. 60. all right so sanjay thanks so much for bringing the car we've actually known it indirectly yeah for the ford gt forum for 10 years 10 15 years so when uh john said i'm bringing out a friend and you mentioned the name i saw your email i'm like dude i know who he is so it's pretty cool to meet up after all these years you're a ford guy obviously and he's got forwards and i'm a four guy too and now i'm a ferrari guy yeah i have not right now right now yeah oh yeah yeah okay and a 720 and the seven 570 s gt4 what did you think about the races we did a bunch of dig races i couldn't keep up with you off the line yeah i mean i've got an unfair advantage i've got that electric torque to the front wheels and you can't do it it's 40 degrees out here so these tires are cold and i didn't do a burnout like you did but it didn't matter didn't matter i couldn't i can't do the burn if i wanted to that's a good question because the f8 has rolling burn out yeah you have all-wheel drive all-wheel drive i can't turn the all-wheel drive on turn off the front we might have to do some more testing yeah look into it so a couple of dig races you saw without the burnout in the 765 the the ferrari just just is gone there's that just you can't you can't keep up then we did the rolling burnout mode i was able to manage your lead a little bit right and uh hold you off but you were probably about one to two cars ahead uh there was no way i was going to pass you i did see a little more a little pull on the top end very top end at the very top end of the 765. i think people expected a lot bigger of a pole and it's really not there yeah and actually the data shows it because we did uh vbox in both cars they're both today and these conditions are running low 560 to 130 in the same 150 yes i've done better than my 765 but out here today both cars are pretty much even then we came around and did some rolling races and uh it's really hard to get those lined up we did the best we could we usually got the jump just yeah he would get the jump because it's instant power and torque with that electric motors and i was actually spinning second and third gear and finally when the mclaren sat down and got going slight pull but not enough to really right you know i might have got ahead of you once it was driver's race every time really really appreciate you
