come to you in our need to seek your protection against the covet 19 virus that is disturbed and claimed many lives we ask you now to look upon us with love and by your healing hand dispel the fear of sickness and death restore our hope and strengthen our faith we pray that you guide the people task to find cures for this disease and to stem its transmission bless our efforts to use the medicines developed to end a pandemic in our country we pray for the health workers but they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion grant them health in mind and body strength in their commitment protection from the disease we pray for those afflicted may they be restored to health protect those who care for them grant eternal rest to those who have died give us the grace in these trying times to work for the good of all and to help those in need may our concern and compassion for each other see us through this crisis and lead us to conversion and holiness grant all these um [Music] we begin with joy in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen the grace of our lord jesus christ and the love of god and the communion of the holy spirit be with you all and with your spirit in the gospel of today jesus teaches us that those who count for nothing in the world the poor the needy the meek the pure heart the persecuted are the truly blessed god chooses to be on their side and they are most precious ones in the eyes of god do we see blessedness only in terms of richness power and being honored do we involve ourselves to the service of those who are not blessed for the moments when we did not we asked the lord forgiveness i confess almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words in first reading a reading from the book of the prophet jeremiah thus says the lord cursed is the one who trusts in human beings who seeks his strength in flesh whose heart turns away from the lord he is like a barren ghost in the desert that enjoys new chains of season but stands in a lava waste a salt and empty earth blessed is the one who trusts in the lord whose hope is the lord he is like a tree indeed but we place our hope in the risen lord who prepares for us eternal life the second reading a reading from the first letter of saint paul to the corinthians brothers and sisters if christ is priest preached as raised from the dead how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead if the dead are not raised neither has christ been raised and if christ has not been raised your faith is vain you are still in your sins then those who are falling asleep in christ have perished for if for this life only we have hope in christ we are the most pitiable people of all but now christ has been raised from the dead the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep the word of the lord thanks be to god let us give honor to the holy gospel oh [Music] joyce and be glad your the twelve and stood on a stretch of level ground with a great crowd of his disciples and a large number of the people from all judea and jerusalem and the coastal region of tyre and sidon and raising his eyes toward his disciples he said blessed are the poor blessed are you who are poor for the kingdom of god is yours blessed are you are now hungry for you will be satisfied blessed are you who now are weeping for you will laugh blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude and insult you and denounce your name as evil and account of the son of man rejoice and leap for joy and that faith behold your reward will be great in heaven for their ancestors treated the prophets in the same way but woe to you who are rich for you have received your consolation woe to you who are filled now for you will be hungry woe to you who laugh now for you will grieve and weep well to you we all speak well of you for their ancestors treated the false prophets in the same way sisters and brothers the gospel of the lord raised you lord jesus christ the lord presents again to us the be attitudes real source of happiness your happiness even in the gospel of the day you're not only rejoicing but you live for joy it is something that is not passing it is something that is more permanent it is something that changes a person's outlook at the way of life the attitude or being blessed being truly happy statement the lord is a writer a series of bombshells revolutionary radical challenging indeed these are flashes of the lightning followed by thunder of surprise and amazement because jesus took what we think ordinarily as sources of joy and happiness as the accepted standards of what it means to be happy truly happy are those who in the eyes of the world are times we identify ourselves and we get our value from all of these things you know you can actually lose all of these which you think in the end identify you and give you your value sometimes about people who win in the lottery 300 million can you imagine that in the next five years ask you have you lost your identity that way the the the the name of the person can be lost your power can be taken away from you your position may easily be something you may not have anymore fame of what others say about you never trust what others say about you because if there is anything more fickle in this world it is the human heart waiting for may easily be taken away from you your face your youth your money your house your fame they do not last your real identity is found in something more essential than this and he wants to bring us back to the one who created us all to the oneness places imagine us to the one who tells us you are beloved to me in front of the gate of the rich man god is jesus is telling us today you know what don't depend on these that the world insists you should have in order to be happy just constantly hold us to one basic essential truth and what is that um and you get to have everything seemingly everything that [Music] foreign your value is not in what you do your value is in what you are beloved to the lord by his grace made priests by his grace still preserved by his grace truly special to him and jesus today tells us where true joy is foreign so what the world can give because what the word offers can one day disappear hold on to me and you will find someone who loves you someone who tells you but instead i have something more to offer you eternal life where real joy will make you leap and praise god forever my dear friends is foreign towards the end after four and the gift of a negative rtpci never came until after the 31st day at that point francisco was helping me with rtpc feeling blessed but then in the end you know what made it consubstantial with the father through him all things were made for us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven and by the holy spirit was incarnate of the virgin mary and became man for our sake he was crucified under pontius pilate he suffered death and was buried and rose again on the third day in accordance with the scriptures he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father he will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end i believe in the holy spirit the lord the giver of life who proceeds from the father and the son who with the father and the son is adored and glorified who has spoken through the prophets i believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church i confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins the honesty to use their gifts and resources in the service of the country especially for the poor and the powerless we pray listen to the prayer of your church lord for those who are in their front lines against the covet 19 pandemic and they find hope affection and assistance from the local authorities and their communities we pray listen to the prayer of your church lord for our viewers the homebound and their families the almighty father continue to protect them and through the powerful intercession of our blessed mother grant all intentions and requests offered through this mass we pray listen to the prayer of your church lord for our beloved dead may god's mercy be upon them that they may reach eternal life with him we pray listen to the prayer of your church lord let us pray for the urgent concerns of our community and our personal intentions we pray listen to the prayer of your church heavenly father hear the prayers of your people who hope in your infinite mercy may if we do not respond beautifully to him someone said this you know what it means to be happy to feel you are beloved and when you are beloved by this incredible god that is real beatitude share your pray this prayer for a spiritual communion my jesus i believe that you are present in the most holy sacrament i love you above all things and i desire to receive you into my soul since i cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally come at least spiritually into my heart i embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself holy to you never permit me to be separated from you amen
