"Fatal Attraction and Passion Personified"

Jesus can we end this just just as we rejoice in God can you help me celebrate our music ministry and today oh my god y'all have been amazing just lead us into this presence so deeply and I just you know I came ready anyway straight up I just came ready to holla just just lay down cry just because I just been thinking about how good he is to me you know when you start thinking about how he done kept you there's one thing that died for you y'all showing up said it's another thing to didn't keep working with you keep walking with you he took the phone I need the guy had to have wood if I bought the DVD and I didn't have a singing on it I would be upset today now wow that is a great blessing we're gonna go into this word today but I tell you what I have this was this is this is what I'm talking about it just doesn't get any better than this right here okay well let's take a minute let's do this before we even do that I'm gonna pray but in this precious atmosphere this is a good time to let some people around you know how much you value them and treasure them why don't you just talk to a few folks just let them know how much they matter to you I can't thank him without grab your Bible phone or iPad or Android or whatever all you got and declare say this is my Bible it is God's Word it reveals to me God's will therefore it is the final authority to which I submit to settle all the issues of my life it's the standard of my conduct and the basis of all my expectations shove it out I am what it says I am I have what it says I have and I can do absolutely everything it says I can do today I will be taught the Word of God by my pastor and that word when mixed with faith will produce victory in my life for I'm a believer not a doubter I'm a doer not just a hearer in Jesus name yes sir glory to God oh that's good that's good turn in your Bibles with me we're going to two passages of Scripture today though I will share quite a bit we're going to Matthew chapter 16 a man Matthew 16 gonna read verse 21 and then we're going to read first Peter chapter 1 verses 18 and 19 as we continue in this series I'll have him read in just a second Matthew 16 verse 21 and then 1st Peter chapter 1 verse 18 and 19 minister prophet I definitely what I would call the day Sean's going to read for us today been in a series all wet Matt this Duke still hold no okay some focal coughing alright I just they still holding on but in a series entitled stop the madness stop the madness we said in our it's on relationships and we said that we have to stop the madness of unnecessary loneliness and lack of development because we can we have the option to develop covenant friendships Oh Lord you your your relationship with God is enhanced with covenant friendships because y'all better start that clock because it helps to fine tune you a real friend will tell you when you're wrong a real friend would tell you you need to cut that foolishness out look down your road see if you got any real friends all right well cattle no second thing we said in our series was we need to stop the madness of expecting quality relationships without working on key skills you and I cannot expect to have what we have never had if we continue to do what we've always done we have to develop the ability to communicate to be loyal for reciprocity and that simply means give and take don't just take take take I'm not feeling the love in the room and forgiveness you cannot have long-term relationships if you do not learn to master forgiveness because in any extended relationship you're going to have glitches if you have ever got on your own nerves in doing something raise your hand what is what I'm saying if you can get on your nerves and your you surely okay somebody else can you have to learn to forgive and we have a phenomenal example in Christ then we said you have to stop the madness in regards to dating and issues of attraction and chemistry yeah an attraction is important okay y'all was scared to say you man off that attraction is important but it should not be followed up with consummation or or what I won't get into deep words whether you know shouldn't be fight all to be followed up with chemistry and you don't need to try it for you bye [Music] [Applause] you need to try carpet for you back but you don't try people before you buy them because there can be no gaining of wisdom through sin well I was hoping for a little bit more than that I better just keep going habner then we said you need to stop on last Sunday stop it as we forget tried to talk about stopping the madness of self-hatred learn to be aware of yourself if you're good at something say I'm good at it [Music] amen humility is not thinking less of yourself it's thinking about yourself less it means you're not the only thing you ever think about the only thing you ever talk about some people you can't tell them anything because they don't hate you they still do talk get ready talking about themselves no you don't need that but you need to be confident in who you are you need to be confident in the way God made you you're awesome just like you are all we can work on some moral issues we can get better as it relates to speech and the way we carry ourselves we can do all of those things better but the fact that miles and dollars and then if I found a big you may not let me for what you say I found a briefcase full of money like maybe about twenty million dollars something like that great big briefcase I don't care if it got dust on it nastiness on it who wouldn't wash it off whoa-ohh-ohh don't deserve it a little dust doesn't in me did diminish the value you have to be able to look in a mirror and say to yourself God knows you look good girl you are doing something brothers you do the same thing doctor just and you know guys don't use many words normally as women guys all you just do is you look at me and just go and that's all yet okay let all the men say man but we need to get away from this self-hatred and that's really what the world is pushing for always showing you things and saying you're not enough somebody put your hand on your heart and say I am enough seriously okay maybe aware of yourself you need to accept yourself you need to learn to appreciate yourself then we said on Wednesday you need to stop the madness of unhappy marriages by learning to master the skill of sharing with your spouse and we learned about tone and we found out that the most powerful sexual organ you have to watch Bible study see that's it I shouldn't even tell you what it is have you wouldn't Bible study good for you just keep fumbling hang on I didn't mean to say that wait a minute the most amazing sexual organ is uh are these because the ears are how you really get to know somebody oh well that's you have to watch it this online praise the Lord now today you know was hoping to get more amens during the early part of the lesson because today we're going to talk about what happens when we introduce sex or deep intimacy into either wrong relationships or relationships before it is approved and appropriate see what I say you see I drop down I know so today as we're going to read Matthew 2:16 verse 21 first Peter chapter 1 verse 18 and 19 my subject is fatal attraction and passion personified fatal attraction and passion for sauna fad Matthew 16 from that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples how that he must go into Jerusalem and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised again the third day what an amazing verse I know you said well I'll see what I've got to do with fatal attraction but uh it's amazing that we have palm branches and we're waving them and he knew he was going in Jerusalem to be killed and he still celebrated his way in okay we better read first Peter for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your father's watch but with the precious blood of Jesus so I was bought with the what I was chosen and paid for with the what now over this sacrifice as a lamb without blemish and without spot so today fatal attraction is the result of lust being acted upon okay I'll say that again so you can put your Amen where it belongs fatal attraction is the result of lust being acted upon now when I say lust lust is the inflamed overriding bliss listen first is the inflamed overriding desire that refuses to be restrained or concerned at its destructive nature but moves forward with a passionate pursuit of self-satisfaction at the expense of godly principles are the well-being of the other person in that hateful let's fight while we're fighting here it is lust is an inflamed overriding desire [Music] that just won't be restrained it just goes after gotta have gotta have now I we could be talking about lust about things but don't tell my things at them too much sex today it's gonna be clear so everybody don't look foggy while I'm talking it's the result inflamed all right inside that refuses to be restrained and it's not concerned about its destructive nature when you want something and you want it so bad you don't even care what it's going to do to somebody else that's lust mm-hmm it moves forward with a passionate pursuit but this is the pursuit of self satisfaction now I know they say I'm when I get you so I'm going sewing sew them so they they may but that's the build that ego trust me it ain't about you we got off and already done praise God yes sisters okay it moves forward with a passionate or intense pursuit of self satisfaction at the expense of godly principles or the well-being of the other person Samson acted all us knowing he should have left Delilah alone see what'd I tell you I wasn't in New Jack city y'all remember to move from years ago chris Roberts said of this shakin because that druggin that's that's that that is the reason right there but to a new jack city kept me from messing with drugs and Betty Wright kept me from having sex before I got married I never met him but I want to thank her if I could have a chance to see her now the rest of our song excuse me went on to say she went on but she scared me to death that that song tonight is the night you don't know that one man I have to tell you about that to church tonight is the night that you make me one you said you'll be chilling with me and I hope you will I'm nervous and I'm waiting for you to walk it but all I know this is what this is what helped me be think about but what if mama should come home catch us doing what we'll do this is it and see that's why I know this is why no lust is not to be played with she said not only would it break Mama's heart but a whole family relationship would all be ruined then now say I don't know what happened to her see this you to my boy we come to father devil is a lot out of shut click wait no no no no get up get up the pop up up let's see that's the way lust is even in the face of recognizing the destructive nature you tell my but Samson acted of lusts knew he should have left Delilah alone but here's what James tells us when lust chapter 1 when lust is conceived lust is something you can see conceive like a baby it's something that gets in your head and latches on now and now you're gonna see it is nothing odd about you're not messed up or some kind of psychopath or something if you see something and it's like wow wow and I mean wow and you know if you been walking with God a while you might go Shawn I'm on what else might you do day you gotta grab dumpling so I can't believe I said that and that was terrible well watch this here's the thing it conceived so it when you see something that and the reason I can talk about this and I am primarily talking about bringing sex and intimacy into relationships where there is not marriage but sometimes it's about straying outside of marriage so everybody need to be paying attention don't try to act like this doesn't apply to you before we start worshiping again and let's fear the prophecy fall up in the building the gifts of the Spirit are still for today where the knowledge is real so here's the thing as soon as that in the world and you recognize that that's that that you saw you have just seen something that is trying to form an attraction in your soul you have to immediately cast that thing down or it will it'll hook you somebody say man so Samson knew not to mess with Delilah and yet lust conceived and the Bible says in James when lust has conceived it bringeth forth is not it might it said it will bring forth it does what yes it brings forth so Samson knew it and yet he let it get him he lost his anointing and his vision David acted on lust and destroyed a woman's heart had a man killed lost the respect of the Prophet put a baby in jeopardy that died he killed his joy and put him in the place of fear of losing everything with God Solomon the wisest man every ever to live according to Scripture that God had anointed with wisdom he played with something can I tell you something my counselor God he's my leadership counselor and he said there are three things three enemies to every leader and I'm gonna just say this to everybody can I say it to everybody how many people glad to be in God's house this morning all right there go three enemies who make make a note of this first of all fog fog when your when your vision isn't clear when your vision is not clear well you're not sure fog it's dangerous for us because it messes us up it slows us down we feel jittery and anxious the second one is fatigue because when you get tired enough you don't think clearly you're not talking to me something you could have easily gotten through when you're too tired you can't do you can know how to get home pass through and still be killed fought right by the house fatigue and watch this and fatigue makes you bring on the next one and that's flirtations and right now I'm not talking about grinning and switching and blinking I'm telling my entertaining thoughts you should never have maybe I never get anything maybe I never become anything maybe this is all there is for me flirting with thoughts that kill you Solomon the wisest man that ever lived allowed himself to act on lust he to have to marry all them fault what are you doing what are you doing getting involved in all of that I hear your Holy Ghost see he said well he married her okay that's that's like people using porn in their in their marriage what that stuff did be dropping off doesn't it because in your mind you say okay that's again sit listen to use porn if you're married so what we have is a kind of lure of title season just can't seem to you know get the old you know hype to you know do it's got to be done you don't go you don't go to the tree guy told you not to touch thinking that you're gonna get something that's gonna help you long term that's the same lie the devil told EE if you eat of this you'll be better off you're not gonna be better off watching [Applause] Soloman acted on lusts got involved in it compromised his Walt would God diminish the wisdom he had been given and ended on a sour note compared to what God had spoken here so what the Bible talks to us about about not allowing sex to be brought into relationship that is not marriage this is what some of the stuff what some of the principles of the word of God because I know that some people's I'm just saying you may be going too far well let's just see what the Bible says can we do that you okay with that we said it was the standard of our conduct and the basis of all our expectation all right so first in first grade I'm just going to call these things out first Corinthians chapter 6 verses 18 through 20 teach us that our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Ghost which we have of God it talks about how God purchased us and so God is very since he said all the other sins that we do are done without the body but when we bring in sexual sin then we engage all of us spirit soul and body that's a lot of places for the devil to get hooks [Applause] y'all ever seen somebody trying to tackle somebody in football and they only got one little part of them like they grab the ankle and the person just drag them on across the line but you ain't gonna be able to grab an ankle somebody get them at the waist and somebody grab their shoulders and think they're not going down see our bodies are to remain pure for God Colossians 3:5 says that you and I are supposed to mortify or put to death fornication we need to put sexual sin to death why because it produces death in us now God listen within the confines of marriage you'll see in Genesis 2 he says look he said for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife not his girlfriend what he's most clean to oh no doc you don't get any Cleveland till I got a couple of rings up here Norma need more than one unless we're just doing the band thing I'm cool with it that's where we are financially whatever but yes you can't put like the engagement ring on because I'm still not wife yet still not why before before I unveil all of me before I give you always every once again said Oh me love Oh of you that need to be after I do given power by God to put that to death to put it what then 1st Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 1 through 3 he says listen he said what I really want you to understand is there is a commandment that you keep yourself from sexual sin now I know right about now everybody just feels the need to come to the altar I already understand that once deep prayer because I said it to them that many of us by the time we get any up at any stage or age of life so much has already gone wrong I'm not showing you how to raise my hand and raised in mind that don't come over here right okay so here's the thing but we cannot back away from teaching truth and I said today I don't know how God will lead as we close this lesson out but it is not the intent of God that you leave from here feeling like he doesn't care and he doesn't love you because if God can give me a new spirit surely he can forgive something done in my flesh but God does not forgive what I continue to excuse so so 1st Thessalonians 4 says hey everybody ought to know how to possess their vessel in sanctification and honor keeping ourselves from sexual sin it is a commandment now in 1st Corinthians chapter seven Noahide get rid of start a fight I got security Don okay then first Corinthians 7 first Corinthians 7 watch this now and we could spend our time here if I want if that's the way the Lord let me but I just need you to see that that to bring sexual stuff in and I'm going to show you why oh man it's it's it's it's a fatal it's a fatal attraction 1st Corinthians 7 verses 1 through 5 talk about wisdom on how to handle intense sexual desire you and I have to learn to respect and imma let you read in a second respect the power the pleasure and the purpose of sex by choosing to have a marriage relationship that God honors in which to express it verses 1 through 5 now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me now Footwear's question about sex won't a marriage stop go ahead it is good for a man not to touch a woman that's why most men don't like coming to church that verse right there thank god that's not the only version brothers enter right come on yeah it's good he said he's answering a question ok keep going nevertheless to avoid fornication let every man have his own wife stop he said look it is ideal because of the power of it the pleasure and the pull of it when done right what I say yeah but all this foolishness going on folks don't know what they doing but when done right phenomenal now we don't have this is not a women's fellowship but if it were guys I think it's important that you understand some of the hang-ups that women have as it relates to sexual intimacy because of the way we were brought up can I pass through my church for a second okay see because when you're a little girl growing up it's different night and day the boy growing up or you get a little grown ancient I saw you looking over there a little girl haha feeling alert ain't you that you know you see the movies where the guy says it again about that time yeah it's gonna teach you a little something going there Nancy that's the way it's presented with guys and TV now come on this side of the world you don't let nobody touch you which is you got to tell them but just listen to the whole of what I'm saying you don't let nobody touch you this is private this is your nitrogen and that's important to do and it your honey don't you get it all don't be nasty come on bring me your mom what come on here you sell my pill working on reaching standing me like that they say this is gonna be nasty honey don't be nasty it everybody don't have the gift of celibacy but that lacking the gift of celibacy does not make up for our requirement to be disciplined until marriage watch this nor does it give us a right to the one we don't have everything we want to go get us a couple extra things on the side [Applause] okay so read nevertheless to avoid fornication to avoid fornication let every man have his own what like not girlfriend because if I say that Jesus is my Savior and My Lord he is my example and the one that has the right to set the standard so he says hey everybody doesn't have the gift I already understand that you're gonna what I want you is phenomenal so if you have a passion if you listen if you're in hearing you surpass the island then we're going to tell you this now this thing ain't no joke for me now some people are like I'd like to get married like that's excellent but you don't think about it every other minute that's a folk in here who are physically hardwired then in the midst of the best service that we can have they don't thought about sex a good 15 20 times [Applause] who's that shocking who does that shot tell true is that shocking this some people okay no worries who understanding that fully and did no problem because that's you [Applause] look down your road I'm just laying don't look down do not look down your road but that's a different kind of wiring y'all said who wrote a book oh my god what's his name about a love crazy love I beg you to read it beg you to read it Francis Chan said he's I love Jesus more than anything that says his you know his whole word he said I couldn't hardly concentrate he said so I had to go to God as a God I'm walking in purity but I'm having I can't hardly concentrate I need to get married help me to find a wife see having the path having the desire is not sinful what did I say well y'all heard that one heard anything about tithing recently [Applause] having the desire is not sinful but what it should do is I should honor God and say God now what is the outlet that you have approved of and he said nevertheless I'm aboard fornication to avoid it what should I do let every man have his own wife I need to get married now I heard you ladies I heard you get out my head because the scripture says that we're not to be unequally yoked so I text a few of my preacher friends last night and I said help me to get a hold of and balance that not being unequally yoked verses verse 8 and 9 look how many heads went down to the scripture I ain't seen y'all follow along in the Bible like this in a minute look at first Corinthians 7 verse 8 and 9 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows it is good for them if they abide even as it is good if you can remain unmarried because when you are unmarried you do have more time for ministry humm how many how many folks are married and got children and and and and really of those struggle to fit everything in right when you're single and you don't have the same some people are single with children now that's even more challenging okay but he says he says look he said it's ideal if you can abide in a single state because whenever you want a fast ain't nobody talked about it money running low don't matter all you got to do get a biscuit you can make it you are someone saying you can make it off $1.00 min here she can raise the family off one so look what he says it's better if you can but then what does he say but if they cannot contain but if they cannot for this is Bible teaching isn't it if they cannot contain it's better to marry than to burn so my question to my peers we can get him time to talk about it risk my listen my question to my peers was which one supersedes that all the earth keeps silent before you which one supersedes because if I'm walking like this and I don't see anyone in sight that loves Jesus what do I do I'm going to say something that Paul says but I'm gonna my opinion what did I say if somebody sleep checking and wreck check the row and push them cuz I don't want nobody waking up and gentlemen I heard Bishop say God told us just tag what no no no no here's here's what I recognized and I'm going to show it to you at another verse that they are so serious about us keeping ourselves sexually pure that when you read the gist of Scripture when you get when you remember this is why you don't take one verse and build a doctrine off of it you read everything about it in its context but there seems to be an overriding concern that would say no you don't want to marry an unbeliever because when you do you are going to enter tuan you intertwine light with darkness how will you have the peace to rejoice in God and to be faithful you can but it is going to be a trial so that seems to say that that's really important but this seems to trump it seems to trumpet but now if you think you cannot contain now if you go with this somebody that's not a believer it's going to complicate your life and ladies you really need to hear me because you'll be putting a Deadhead over you maybe a nice person I don't mean did that mean to be condescending I mean no life of Christ as your head and from what I'm learning most time went ahead in functional the body doesn't move well but before you get into a lifestyle of fornication it seems that that would be preferable to a loose life because then it goes on to say who knows if you'll be the saving grace of that other person well I don't mean to get in well y'all be writing to this week won't you come back to Bible study where we will conclude these discussions Boyan is something so it's 1st Corinthians in 7 verses 1 through 9 it talks about the repower the pleasure of it and then it needs to be in the marital relationship Hebrews 13 verse 4 says that the marriage bed is God's plan for that level of intimate expression huh watch this Acts chapter 15 verse 19 20 I'll still hear someone shout fatal attraction David saw that it was Samson saw that it was Solomon saw there was it's a fatal attraction I remember being in school and everybody was something like losing their virginity and you go do that tell us what ladies we do talk about it and like I said I had already heard Betty right so I'd already made up my mind mmm no no that's okay even when I was young I was an only child and I wanted a baby because I felt alone some say no no there's got to be another way you understand me so I remember listening to everybody and I'm gonna talk about seven things that I see that it does but watch this in in acts 15 verses 19 through 20 this is when there they had written to what they had as a counsel of the Apostles and the Apostles came together because all of a sudden now you had Gentile believers you didn't you everybody else had been Jewish and then it now you have these Gentile believers they didn't grow up in church y'all ever seen people somebody gets saved and they can't Hall even get in the church door they strip and make make up off taking the e-ring putting them in weird-looking clothes are y'all not gonna help me no more y'all and got sensitive or y'all still stuck on and no and we say you can't catch if you can't clean the fish before you catch it so what the Apostles did in acts 1519 what they're doing is saying hey what are we gonna do with all these new believers and he says this one of the first things I want you to tell them don't eat stuff that's been offered to idols and don't fornicate do not get involved in sexual sin we know that they had orgies and stuff like that and they would go in they had temple prostitutes they didn't raise offering from the heart they said all right they're gonna come in give you some money tend to whatever and then that'll go in the offering completely and what's sad is sometimes it seem like it's the that's wrong he says you tell them to keep themselves from sexual sin why because when you give all of yourself when you are that vulnerable and you give all of yourself you give your mind you give your emotions you give your body you put yourself at a place that's intimacy in your allowing somebody to see the boat the core of who you are he said you don't play with that because that puts hooks in you you're trying to learn the new faith you got to stay pure and finally in 1st Corinthians 5 and boy this would be big 1st Corinthians 5 verses 1 through 7 Paul wrote the church he said let me tell you something he said y'all got they're sleeping with their stepmama he said let me tell you something you cannot get soft on sexual sin in church now I already know again what did I say by the time we get into this kind of a sermon so many of us in here we could rush this all to couldn't yeah we could he said but you cannot afford to be soft in preaching the truth he said no he said because if you start allowing a little bit of this and a little bit of that that Levin will Levin the whole law we're supposed to live our lives purely and I'm not saying it's easy ain't even setup in life it may be for a few float then few folk to raise their hand earlier but for the other folk then a wired a little differently now some folk may be wired evenly but they have watched so much stuff they got too much too much voltage coming in to change your channel you probably could relax someone you wouldn't be under such stress if you didn't watch certain things watch this he says you cannot afford to relax discipline against sexual sin it will weaken the whole fellowship and I would have to tell you I remember everybody was talking about whether they were gonna you know you're gonna be a virgin woman's now I believe I'm hold out I'm all that I can cuz what did mama should come home early I can't I came to it y'all go here but here are seven things you don't really hear about this is fatal tracks for the first thing happens when you bring sex into a in a relationship that is not God ordained marriage and I'd say God ordained because you may be married they may be married but y'all ain't married to each other that's adultery that same thing sexual sin it's all in the word fornication pornea where we get the word pornography sex that is inappropriate messing with kids is sick and inappropriate and I'm gonna and let me say this tonight and I so probably shouldn't say it sick even though it seems sick to me it is horribly wrong horribly I told you the other Sunday if you got to pick something you got to choose something tend to yourself and leave that child alone seriously rather you masturbate then commit incest just come on the church and say well Lord I've been struggling with this thing I know what to do but when you cross the line to engage somebody else that has no power that's wrong first thing you notice when people bring this fatal attraction it creates a sense of loss virginity gone which they had saved it for the special one because you give everything you understand and then they they go with your goods and and and and it's like I can't get that back unless God does something really special for me and really washes my mind and generally the discipline it takes to get a renewed mind most people generally don't put that time in second thing you see after after after people allow that moment and you bring sex into the relationship when it should not be there's an a feeling of emptiness that's out what I really notice from my friends when I was in high school there's this feeling of emptiness because they gave something that's special to someone that hadn't promised to stay then you see a lot of a mess up of self-esteem because they discounted y'all not talking to me I'm not just talking women talking guys cuz once you get listen you may have it kind of feeling but at the end of the day you didn't save yourself you're a man of God you know what God has put before you you want God to bless everything in your life and you don't want to be out of alignment out of alignment with God in this area if you can't keep yourself then you go to God you say God you know how I am I want to live holy before you and I'm going to so I'm gonna have to find a wife because I can't live like me I can't do this I don't have to give to celibacy God so I'm not gonna be a or whatever want to call it Lou however you want to phrase that I'm not doing that cuz you're my lord and I don't want to keep putting the Holy Ghost through that hole it goes like a small child with them with a mother going in the back room somewhere sitting there okay okay watch this the other thing for thing I think I'm a four I mess up your self-esteem that's discounting first one the sense of loss virginity is gone second one the sense of emptiness because you gave it to somebody that was not Lydon had not made the Covenant to stay third is it messes up your self-esteem because you gave a discount and guys you gave part of yourself to somebody dainty that was it they didn't even require you to give to have covenant and chances are they may not be there for you and may have some of you in the form of that you gonna have to tend to they're gonna stay in your pocket imagine how long it don't compare to how long they're gonna be in your pocket I'm just saying first the one that first I'll say I feel like I'm just all in the scripture watch this number five it messes up your witness clouds your judgment they'll give you four and then give you four clouds your judgment cause you to miss warning signs when you bring watch this let's take it away from sex for a split second for what y'all a drag don't drag my sermon out now cuz I'm gonna be late today okay it messes up your witness but it messes up your judgment let's take it again for a second out of sex intimacy just too much about yourself you don't want to meet somebody in week one you know everything about them so wrong with that what I say let me tell you why let me tell you why man if I share too much of my brokenness too soon then I I get you attached to me in an emotional way you start seeing me as victimized you now become a healer or a hero so then it becomes harder for you when you start seeing warning signs to take them because you're too busy trying to rescue me or what we call you develops old ties y'all been on the phone for two days come on cloud your judgment number five it messes up your witness it does it messes up your witness number six it hurts the heart of the Holy Spirit and he's the one that helps us live this life victoriously see here's the thing and as a person who battled in this now really battled in this I'm gonna know okay I'll take it out of six y'all y'all looking almost nervous acting and stuff take it out of six for a second you have a bit on diet you're a bit on diet they say you wouldn't eat no more sweets not one more and then you saw that you had two little snicker bars in the house well you don't enjoy my to look too loose and you said well that's what I'm a dummy is going to eat just gonna knock them out that way won't be no more anybody know what I'm gonna say watch this and then and then those two more become well it's Thursday I start on Sunday right watch this it becomes easier and easier to hush the Holy Spirit when you quiet him down for what you want alright number seven it opens you up to possible disease child support pregnancy ruins your personal life yeah so here we have it's a fatal attraction amnon said he loved Tamar but he did not he had lust for her he had this this sense washer this is what he had he had an overriding desire that refused to be restrained that was not concerned about its destructive nature he moved forward with this pursuit to satisfy himself at the expense of principles and our person and what was the result it destroyed Jackson favorite song and you may not listen to Hillsong for every song it ought to be most gospel should be the majority of what you feed yourself but be careful to scrutinize what you listen to because anything you hear over and over you think it's true and I know in that moment it seems like the level of passion you feel is just too much to obey if I just came to just kinda just you know just feel like if I just don't if I know all that sound cute in the moment but listen to me that is not love it is lust that goes beyond love demands that I okay real love makes you ache real love is willing to sacrifice and remain pure so that you can both have God's best and a bed free of other people and unhealthy comparisons that's why we're here on Palm Sunday to see real love passion for sana v this is the thing that stood out to me about our text see because you would think that your desire to be what that person is real passion but passion for sana fide is Jesus I'm here until somebody's rebel because real passion real passion is seen in Christ and it odd he says I'm gonna go to Jerusalem they're gonna be waiting for me and they're gonna kill me in Jerusalem I'm going to be betrayed I'll be put in the hands of angry men I'll go through multiple trials I will be whipped I will have a crown of thorns and all of that suffering guess what he called it his passion you better get this he called the intentional moving forward into suffering to reconcile us with God and make sure we were right his passion you oh please tell me you get that please tell me that you understand that the world said that passion is I just got to have you I know you ain't I know we ain't married I ain't made no company but you know my always be you know oh you know she decided she trying to kiss her she tired of going to the movies alone so if this is what it takes this is what it takes that's what the world calls fashion but jesus said that the whole concept that I am willing to go into a place where I know I'm gonna be hurt because at the end of my suffering you'll be clean you'll be pure you'll be in connectivity with God he said that's my fashioned to suffer so that you don't have to anybody that says they love you too much to wait and watch this and Jesus I love this as my last Oh thought Jesus wrote in in celebration see hosanna means Savior a rescuer so they were saying you're our Savior you're a rescuer watch this he knew he was going to be killed my mind would have said sneak in yes I just show up on Friday when ever I got to be crucified I just feel like I need some time to myself prior to that watch this you want to talk about real love Jesus got on I've only messed with the fact that he rode a virgin into town that's another issue and then he rides in celebrating his suffering y'all to celebrate said man y'all dating yep die uh-huh don't know doc me no doc we live in the we doing this thing holy I'm stressed right now hit something got a headache mad bumps breaking all out on my face boy we got another seven months but I'm sitting I'm riding in celebration for myself my suffering because I want her to be able to stand up there and know that I loved her enough to suffer so she could be y'all they talking real passion is seen in its willingness to suffer for the benefit of the other not lust who's willing not to suffer refuses to suffer to have itself satisfied at your expense wonder which one you go for let's pray [Applause] how many learn something today now listen to me as we get ready to go in the pram I'm gonna I'm gonna let trip we're gonna center in this critical place but as I get ready to go their heads are bowed and eyes are closed because right now I don't want too much to move because right now I'm gonna ask you some questions I want to see where you are how many say pastor okay whether it was adultery whether it was you know fornicating whether I'm in a situation right now with I've not been honest and pure with my body listen pastor I need to know can God watch me how many hurting from this we've listened from not following God's plane just lift your hand if you've been struggling with some stuff it puts in I've already know is it thank you thank you I pretend down here's my thing if God can give us a new heart he can wash us clean from this if God can take people that were his enemies the scripture said and make them sons and daughters then he can forgive us of any sin so right now I'm just gonna ask us to lift our hands before and say God wash me for some people you've never acted on it but your mindset just washing me God your word said if we confess our sin you're faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and Lord we confess that we have sinned against you in this area god we don't want a hora Sturge Lord we don't want to worries Church we don't want that kind of body you you said the churches is your bride you don't want a bride that's messing around on you if we individually we belong to you and so we're we're spouse to you we don't look we got an engagement ring on we don't we don't want to be those that fail you whether male or female got across the board we have a heart for you Jesus we want you to get the glory out of our lives and we confess what it is challenging for us so we're asking you first forgive us of all that has been done that was not pleasing for sin and watch this I'm not feelin y'all reaching out to him for watching I'm talking about if you know I'm talking to you this is your chance you're not walking out doesn't make sense to walk out of here and still feel guilt when he said if you confess your sin he's faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness but your honesty and intensity in this moment is required to receive but if you really want God to wash you through and through he'll do it right now and he can return you to pure State so you don't have to walk out of here with your head held down but you can say God thank you for having watch me and from this point on God I will live pure I will keep my body pure and god I just believe that you will bring me into a place a relationship God where I can express it in a way that honors you God and we thank you for just receive right now you didn't hear what I say lift your hands if you need this receive right now in the name of Jesus receive it right rejoice in his forgiveness and you let whoever that partner know we can't go this route if we if it's that serious then we need to get married and believe God for a relationship that honors him but
