all right well the video didn't play but we're on the assignment of manhood yes indeed so actually you come on down come on down and so I'm not going to do too much in the way I'll do a little on our review let's go to Genesis chapter 2 now here is the bottom line we have to align our thoughts with gods and and what that means is that as a Christian I am obligated to elevate whatever God says I have to take that as my stance come on talk to me then yeah there's some things that you know you know we got all kind of issues going today you may have your own personal feelings about some of them but I ain't cold that's why we need when they had the thing on same-sex marriage and they were calling all the pastor's and I every church they told me 26 churches said the pastor was on vacation I said y'all know they laugh and I've just first of all only Halle take vacations like that I said they like I said they just didn't want to talk to you and I told them it I don't talk to users I said but come on and the reason I told him and he said why didn't you and talk to me I said because you will try said historically media will try to take what I'm saying and make it seem like I'm against somebody and I'm not but my background they wouldn't even make sense I said but the bottom line is I'm called to preach the Bible and the Bible does not give an open door to the lifestyle but I do think as the church we have to have an open door to folk come in here and you got to let them wrestle through it you know so you got to wrestle through yours am i right yeah so you know and do I have all the answers no I don't I wish you did but I have to preach the scripture so in that same way we've been called to align our thoughts with God so God you have to teach us about the family I can't just go off my family because it was my family I want to know what you think about the family and I want to align my family like yours so on last week it was Atlanta yeah we'll just say last week for the sake of it we found out that man was the foundation of the family and we say you cannot let the devil minimize the importance of the man to just his sperm or his chick oh oh that's good that's good you cannot do that no God when God wanted a family you have to honor what God started with okay and again this does not minimize ladies but you know sometimes we can't we can't hardly build up one group for trying to pacify everybody the same time so you know we got to take them one at a time all right so Genesis chapter 2 man is the foundation of the family all right and so watch this verse 8 well verse 7 and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life man became 11 living soul and the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden and there he put the man whom he had formed and out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that's pleasant to the sight and good for food also it says the Tree of Life also in the midst of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in verse 15 and the Lord God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and keep it and the Lord God commanded the man saying of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely what all right so we said that one of the greatest gifts that God gave anybody particularly any man is an assignment an assignment okay and we got to begin to view our life like that okay you have a family of science you have a work assignment come on talk to me you have children that's an assignment okay your role in the house of God that's a assignment all right so an assignment is a task or a piece of work or course of study that you have been entrusted with huh the post or duty of position of responsibility and we said that God's first assignment this is strong God's assignment of the garden and naming the animals were trial runs forever you don't give anybody a high level aside you don't start them out taking the GRE and then six first grade you don't say you give them beginning assignments you you got God gave the work assignment as prepped for the family assignment you have a trip we get a hold of that that's something so God gives Adam and a son he says ok I'm going to put you in this garden to dress it and keep it now I reminded you last last time God planted the garden and God made it grow ok so now these is addressed and keep it with dress it like what to prepare it was already growing stuff ok but he put Adam there he gave an assignment he said because I want you to learn certain skills watch now your work brothers your job is going to help you learn certain skills like discipline ok if you work every day you don't go because you feel like going every day you go because you're supposed to go every day you're going to get there you're going to deal with different attitudes you're going to have to learn how to handle people that is not now Amen you're going to make money praise God you're going to make a name for yourself praise God you're gonna be a sign and a wonder but the bottom line is that's the trial run so that when you are given a family you know how to operate in faith you know how to work when you don't feel like working you know how to feel what mood everybody's in and give them the oversight you need to have god help me y'all don't let me get too excited I'm supposed to preach tonight on a complication oh why don't they it might be this stuff like this okay so God's first assignment for Adam his work was like the tricycle you ride a tricycle before you ride a bike come on now you learn how to pedal and hold you know hold a thing together all right then after a while you take the wheels off all right because you learn to get your balance all right now Adam was given the garden and he was given the assignment of naming of seeing whether he could speak into the lives of those animals all right look at in verse 19 and out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field every fowl of the air and brought him unto Adam to see what he would call them and whatsoever Adam called every living creature what's the rest of that that was the name thereof not that became the name so the two things we see that God was trying to accomplish in the man having work assignments well first of all are you able to guard protect promote productivity in that garden all right and then let's see these animals are you able to god help me Holy Ghost are you able to see into these animals see the purpose that God has and can you align what you say with what God was thinking and that would be critical because more times than not the man named the child he was to name the child based on what he sent good god I wish I had me a church and so this is why God brings at the animals to Adam Adam I need to see whether you are developing like me can you see like I see can you pick up on purpose and do you have the discipline to speak that even when you're agitated Oh what was the name of the lady in Scripture I wish Rev was here today because Rev knows all them people in the Bible names I'm you know I have to check on them Rachel somebody got mad and named the child something because it was hard for and then that the dad had to come back and change the name you're not gonna name my child because you went through a hard season he said no oh y'all better hit what I'm telling you no you're gonna have the name that God is speaking to me that's why we have to have strong men that don't have any problems are this is not how these situations getting ready to go down this is not what God showed me y'all talk to me all right so we see it from the work assignment man learns discipline discipline that means you're not emotionally led from his work assignment he learns timeliness time is purpose huh forever Ecclesiastes 3 cents for every time every purpose there's time right so then when I'm late I've missed purpose late people habitually late people are broke people what y'all know that's the truth come on now and don't you death oh if I hear somebody say color people time I'm gonna get my gun i'ma get my gun i'ma get it y'all know I don't play that that is an insult what are you tellin me because I'm brown I can't tell time you need to Jack each other up don't anybody say that I've okay Oh Lord all right from work you learn confidence men you learn confidence you start feeling good about yourself when your work come on now they all they there's any other way yeah when you do when you have a job to do and you get it done and you know you've done it it gives you a certain feeling am i right and see that's what God wants you to have that feeling from the work that you do not from how many all right confident somebody say confidence all right and then increased knowledge so guys here's what you have to understand don't cheat yourself and set yourself up for failure in the family by not working and being trained now let's look at some of the things we're gonna go back over the same text and I want us to look sunday is my day to show us how we all approach assignment and I'm excited for that but today let's look at the specific things that God said to this man before he got Eve because that will show you your focus guys all right first thing I want you to make note of let's look at it again well you already know your value because God wouldn't even let it rain till he a heart attack and y'all didn't like and then what I was going to do I'm so sneaky what I was going to do I was going to get the breeches and my god I feel like talking about and I was gonna go off and take the thing and take it off and walk it and watch all y'all looking at me like I'm crazy because I already know what would have happened I don't walk off from it and I've been going and only I to me God the what I see here is that God formed man and breathed into him the breath of life how long you think you don't go without your oxygen you're setting yourself up for a heart attack if you don't this is what sustains you this is what keeps it all together how can you bear the pressure of that other than what God has told you to do without having someone maybe there are certain not one emerged not one of them I would expect the brothers to carry to worship and there's not to say that God is not close to us he is close to us as ladies no doubt about it but I just need I mean we still can trace the order that he be you can't act like it ain't in there try to play it off and skip the like Leviticus no it's still in the Bible there's a reason for it that's why I say guys you don't ever have to worry it doesn't matter if you feel anything if you listen you ain't got to cry if kids come let them come but it doesn't matter see it's see if you understand if you're if you understand the way a man thinks you'll catch this it is about understanding order see women women have to go through a little extra work to be in military stuff we had to go and women can do a phenomenal job as a soldier but they got to get into that mindset because somebody highlight women outweigh away I saw you buying stockings at the comment they're just like me you know so just men own poets have said for we are also his offspring so their first thing I need you to see God's dealing with man is he's teaching man your first assignment is to worship because God is your sustenance something and I know torches our dad and I understand that and I know he has responsibilities God made him to foundation and family have no problem with all of that and every man should try to take care of their children without a doubt but this is my word to ladies they came out of you that's what I see I'm complete I believe in the male responsibility totally but I have a bigger problem with a and discipline and purpose and watch this and fulfillment when you are a sign that minded the God has trusted me with this job to be able to bring in income and take care of myself first then when he adds he need to add it yet but then when he adds a wife now I have someone that I'm taking care of I am very serious about my son he may want to go hang out now doctor can't hang out tonight maybe we can catch it next Monday night she got choir rehearsal my mind set I got to do some work at home see remember remember the way God started this work only outside your job is the training ground they help you work at home not war at home but work at home ladies they ought not have to war at home men need three things dearly to be happy respect resources man don't like to be broke and brother knee security they need affirmation and they need preferential treatment so they a woman don't understand that you'll go to work and fix everything at work in the house to Grega t she get after that she caught up on all the uncrazy drama I go to work to work I'm there hey I'm being nice to everybody here you good yeah I know but when it's time to work I'm putting my medal to my foot to the middle why the calamitous einman I'm a man I got a job to do God is depending on me he's trusting me with this assignment I'm learning things I'm becoming better just by working every day not just the check I bring home but the discipline is working in my life focus that it's working in my life and then when I walk in the house whatever my check is somebody makes 100,000 somebody makes 30,000 don't make any difference bro if you put your time in working whatever your check is walk in with pride and if your wife starts complaining I want submissions I want this you bring in check dot Lord they made does she make 80,000 and you make 30 means nothing my job is working I work and I do what God is putting me to do they're the best of my abilities we have a hundred and ten thousand let's see what we becomes a living soul when he has an encounter with me so his first assignment is worship he says and then I'm going to take him put him somewhere and I'm going to show him that the thing that controls his life ought to be my assignments for him but also I want him to kill my voice and then bring his flesh under subjection to what I've seen now while I take time to explain that because you hear me talking Veronica M Henry can hear me talking and only one of them hear me right because you can hear me I miss her you could hear me and hear what God is saying and hear it as an opinion you could hear it and hear it as a command he said he commanded the man saying certain things you don't do if when you come to church and you hear God's Word and it's an option you can't hear God you see there are there there are certain people give you an example if I when the boys would have company over and I said pick these fools pick all this mess up off the floor now normally because I have a low voice and it kind of skeptical all the children will start picking stuff up I didn't expect it really from the other ones because there were a few times I said you know because I try to you know I well and I said when that time comes if it ever comes you help him through it and he did just happened to you give him that moment to let his emotions out but you be that rock and tell them okay it hurts I understand I'm proud of you still that you did your very best but you see it hurts better now let's just keep let's just get to work next week you use those moments to train you use those hear God's voice and bring your flesh under subjection all right look at verse 19 I got a hurry all I got about five things to give you all verse 19 remember this out of the ground the Lord God formed calls deep sleep what he cut open him took his rib closed him back up well a few things that I teach on singleness is notice this God has to dev take something close to your heart without it disturbing your wrist can you still praise them even though God gets something close to your heart without it waking you up okay now oh I'm just running through this now I'm running through this after he shows them up y'all know what happened they fell they get to get up gets married as it were we call it getting married I need you to get this last thing guys these last couple of things in verse 11 of chapter 3 verse nine in verse 11 I need you to see two things that happen after sin took place that God does not want you to do well really there's three things the Bible says Eve gave to Adam that was with her y'all remember that God does not want his man taking getting things out of order he started listening to what God had given him instead of the God that made him y'all in here you love your wife and you put honor your wife but not to the point where she pulls you away from what you know God told you see that is where this new this new breed of overly passive God is the distance this is I start tracing the route back now because we're starting to see well you know she know me I had one guy cuz I'm where you know she's upset with the church and will let us stay home you gonna say you know again are y'all praying for me I said doc you too much of punk to be married I don't understand this and I didn't mean to be other to him but my point was how are you going to lead the home and you see buckling down because she's in sin and she's an offense and you you don't look down what's going on no Adam Eve may be having an issue but you know what God said you don't give in to that will he did verse 9 he hid himself you never run from God come on guys you never come on everybody you never run from God by getting messed up that's like that's like bleeding and running from the hospital come on no you always run to him and the next thing I want you to the last thing I want you to see when we when then when you don't do this thing then you start blaming everything around you because he listened to Eve instead of God he ate all of us died because of him listening to her and then he runs from God and then when God calls him on the carpet the worst thing you can ever do is be a blame the woman you gave me she gave me to eat did she force it down your throat so you can't you can't be God's man a sign that minded and then blame everybody else no no no no no that that is that's the quickest way to a weak man let him blame somebody but it was it and I get those kind of phone calls to my teachers was on zone zone zone so and every time I get that kind of call I said well maybe they're preparing you for life because life ain't Savin everybody's got an Oprah story save it for Oprah because you cannot make it in this life as a victim victims don't get anything and they get run over
