Faith vs Fear - Hope of the Generations Church Service

good morning church the church is not in a box with a steeple the church is the sea when you said you're going to church today it was not going to a cathedral God does not dwell the empty buildings I said God does not dwell in empty buildings I said God does not dwell in empty buildings I said God does not dwell in empty buildings where does God dwell by his spirit you are the Temple of the Holy Ghost got one Amen I said you are the Temple of the Holy Ghost tell somebody next to you I am the Temple of the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost lives within me so watch out I am armed and dangerous isn't it good to know that the Holy Spirit lives with us in us so I build a big building to a place that God doesn't inhabit come on now think with me we're always so impressed with architecture well what's that scripture pastor Donna the in the in my father's house our what in my father's house are many mansions Wow jesus said I go to prepare a place for you if they were not so I would not have told you I go to prepare a place for you that were I am you may be also hey Henry yes just remembering one of our boys he used to when there was a two-story house because we hadn't lived in one still didn't a ranch-style in Florida but anyway he would every time he would see a two-story house he goes that's a to a mansion house is a two mansion house a two mansion house well good morning it is so good to be alive you know we have so many things to be grateful for in terms of negativity yeah it just gives you something to do but the rest of us not all bad is it I want to tell you something there are really good people in the world there are good people in America there are good people in the city you live in there are good people in this room so see things are all bad after all are they but we're made to think on things that are negative and it seems like all the news does is remind us of things that are negative I'm getting a little tired of newscasts I mean what they live on the edge of disaster and they're the author of more phobias and fears than even the devil can create come on now I mean the Bible says this if you believe the Bible think on things that are think on things that are of good report things that are pure somebody find that scripture for me look it up I want to bring the mic right to you I want you to read it this is this is how we get started by faith is not the substance of things you don't want to happen I said faith who's that hand way up in the back I see a hand in the back I need the exercise morning did you find what I'm looking for here Philippians 4:8 finally brethren whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things are lovely whatsoever things are of good report if there be any virtue and if there be any praise think on these things that was good but yeah you've had to hurt something six times just to retain 25% of what you heard the first time so we're going to read it again and again and this time as he as he reads let it begin to soak into your inner man because this cause you heard it right now doesn't mean you got it and they were here for the Spirit of God to take us someplace today in our learning curve this is a good place to begin because you're surrounded by so much negativity no wonder we have so much fear in America who's teaching faith I want to well let's go there in a minute and read it real good and like you did the first time finally brethren whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things are lovely whatsoever things are of good report if there be any virtue and if there be any praise think on these things now we're gonna read it again and this time when you get to each item I want you to pause and let it now sink deeper because at some point this audience is gonna start listening right now they're almost there finally brethren whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest honest whatsoever things are just just just whatsoever things are pure pure pure whatsoever things are lovely lovely whatsoever things are of good report good report if there be any virtue any virtually any virtue and if there any praise any praise think on these things Oh what is the mandate who can tell me what the mandate is that you just heard who said think do you say think who thought they should have said think think think now thinking involves an activation of the mental process you may have heard something but you may not think about it this is how you begin the journey of learning how to be people of faith what is faith faith is very simple Hebrews 11:1 says faith now faith is so when is faith now it that happened one second ago when it when is faith every breath you take is a moment of phasing come on folks people of God don't live back there they're moving ahead in the journey if you want to live back there you don't need faith things that have already happened you don't need faith things that you've already see from God you don't need faith about it do you so faith always represents the moment moment by moment now faith is the substance take your fingers go like this with me please can you feel your fingers if not you have neuropathy you need ministry faith is thus a substance substance see we've made faith in fact faith is the first literal tangible intangible now follow me now I'm working you over faith is the first tangible intangible that ever existed God spoke the universe into existence calling things that are not as if they as though they were Wow now faith is the what an don't see your fingers don't fall asleep on me now faith is the substance of things say things our things tangible so the intangible of faith represents the tangible of things I like the way they stayed in Ireland Tings they don't can't pronounce things so they say Tings we were in Ireland years ago doing some ministry they're precious people and what they call us Donna we were lads and lassies here's a lassie I'm a lad now faith is the tangible they said now faith is it intangible things you can't see things you can't see is intangible are you with me things that are you can't see are intangible but are tangible see this takes us to a dimension where you cannot go as a normal human being too far the Holy Spirit can take you places that you cannot go normally as a natural human the natural man cannot experience a supernatural I said the natural man cannot experience the supernatural that's why you must be born again what happens when you become born again what joins you the holy spirit Wow can you see the holy spirit does he exist does he ever talk to you yeah sometimes you wish he wouldn't go away leave me alone later now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence evidence tangible tangible evidence not yet seen so faith represents something that is not seen but does exist but does exist but without faith it is impossible to please God you must believe that God is and he is a rewarder tangible he is a rewarder of them that diligently say diligently well that's some action seek after him you must believe that God is I was watching a YouTube last night I don't know where it came from he just popped up on my phone and things pop up on my phone I don't know where they come from your hair have phone like that is just scary and it was in it and it was it just said this man's name an atheist and it was there for two or three days and I ignored it so finally yesterday he late I fania said okay this is a guy here's his picture he's an atheist so I decided to hit the the play button and this individual was talking about a time when he was younger because there's the play-by-play in who he was little older of how he had a disease and he died and his experiences where he went and he came back eventually and he lived and he was so the thought you know I get scared and people just go become flipping in but it was so real and so methodical atheist drew on something now here's where the Holy Spirit is the best the Holy Spirit is eternal and everything that you have learned about God from childhood is still in your spirit man somewhere it may be suppressed you may not have recall about it but in this journey and this guy didn't go to heaven he went into a place with beings that weren't very nice and in this place of despair he started thinking about what he learned in he was a child in Sunday school and he and he started trying to quote the things that he could remember from childhood and part of it was mixed up with the Pledge of Allegiance and he said no that's not it or to an anthem and no that's not it and as he's trying to draw back from childhood in this state of death he remembers the name Jesus just remembers the name cheese he hadn't even had that name his consciousness for decades he's and in this state he said I'm an atheist what am I thinking about Jesus for but it was there and he had this thought he's recounting this what have I called out for his name and so in this state he said Jesus Jesus if you're there if you're real the presidents of God came to him in this state you know I'm not trying to promote that YouTube not to promote no man's experience but I am promoting every man has been given a measure of faith every one of you the Bible says teach a child in the way they should go and when they're old I wish it said older it'll be much easier for us parents if it just said old and not old I was 38 as a preacher's kid before I became born again grew up in the church grew up in a tall but I was not right with God so being part of a church Amenia preacher's kid did nothing for me eternally but the deposit was in me the deposit was in me the deposit was a faith was there that spark is what faith is all about okay with that because it kind when you were talking about the man who was kind of you know I don't know where Ouisa where is that and his death process but we started out by having stancel read the good report etc so I was interested in one of the words there so and this is why this is important is that we think on these things because think because one day or today or every day this important so I kind of looked up the Strong's realities to the some of the words because I was interested do you know what is incredible to me what this is astounding what is I was back there was stencil yeah I had the desire to drill down in these words look good okay so what you're doing what that's what I did is that that astounding so I I don't think that I have to break down every word like the are and whatsoever kind of things but but I thought did think finally was interesting because it's kind of like at the end of something else that was being said and so there's this whole list of all these words so finally means something remaining so there's something he has not quite said okay and then of course brethren whatsoever things are true now let's get to true true as not concealing true as not concealing then so whatsoever things are honest venerable ie honorable honorable so that's honest honorable whatsoever things are just that means equitable in character or act by implication innocent holy absolutely or relatively so to me it kind of means fair but being honest and innocent and that fairness that's my words but actual strong says equitable and character or act by implication innocent holy absolutely are relatively so then you go whatsoever things are pure properly clean ie figuratively innocent modest and perfect innocent modest properly clean whatsoever things are lovely lovely was the one I was kind of on what does that mean because I'm sure doesn't mean pretty you know friendly towards ie acceptable lovely means being Pleasant friendly towards others Pleasant ie acceptable whatsoever things are of good report good report well-spoken of reputable well-spoken a reputable and then if there be any virtue virtue properly manliness valor ie excellence aren't ristic or attributed so excellence is the big word here properly excellent or valor having valor and if there be any praise praise law Dacian concretely a commendable thing that to me means solid if there be anything you can say about this any come it's a commendable thing these are the things you're supposed to think about think on these things think on I thought well what Kate think got to take inventory ie estimate literally or figuratively to take inventory so that's think gone means so you're supposed to think on these things I think that's a cool woods word study you know I try to bring things forward that aren't so good sometimes because I want people to pray but I also like to pepper it with things that are pretty awesome like things that happen I mean there's I mean because of news whether it's fake or real I don't know sometimes but the good stuff I mean there's some pretty amazing things going on in the world that are good I mean whether it's people saving dolphins and whales or are I mean even just last night we walked watched America America's Got Talent that's the name of it yeah some of those things were weird but there was a group that actually went to the live shoes that were what live shows that were actually service people in service right now that had a singing group and they were voted to stay on the show to me that's a miracle okay because they they weren't they didn't have some big showy thing they just sang from their hearts and they were in service for this country and to me that that is something to talk about I hope they win you know it's a good report exactly they're really good and their ministry is to sing in places with our servicemen that have been wounded and in places that have been laid their life down for our country right and and they were very good there was three guys and one lady and they've been in service themselves yes and one girl still is she's an active duty she's active yeah oh yeah I mean they got just applauses yeah that's that's not just a bunch of hype that's Valor but I wonder you know if we talk if we do what this scripture says how much are gonna drowned out all the evil reports you know I'm not saying the evil reports we shouldn't look at some of those things because we have to be prayerful but we don't have to talk about it all the time we talk about the good stuff you know we have played miracles that happen here that's why the testimony appear I'm surprised that there's not just the systems not a constant flow because there's so much going on I mean whether it's a revelation or whether it's just you know God did a miracle on my life I mean the fact that anybody ever gets delivered of anything that's a miracle that is the biggest miracle ever salvation number one that your heart gets changed towards a living God from the cesspool of our iniquity is a miracle is a miracle and I won that I think about just about every day of my life that I'm grateful for my goodness where would I be probably dead you know honestly and and so anyway I just thought this breakdown was really good to really look at what does that really mean because sometimes the King James you're not really quite sure exists we might think lovey means good looking or something no that's not what it means so anyway I'm done well it's pretty good the the statistic that I mentioned in this discourse I mentioned here before has always impacted me because the statistic demands our attention that you've had to heard or seen something six times in its entirety just to retain twenty five percent of what you heard or saw the first time so that's that's like repetition well you know and I was just thinking that you know this gentleman you were sharing about who had died and was in some kind of valley of a decision if he had never heard anything he had nothing to pull up okay nothing right and so as he begins to think on good things not the Pledge of Allegiance you know but to think on good things then because the Word of God is alive and it starts to bring life to you because it's alive and so as you think on the things that are what God says to think on then that brings life to you and so even if you're in a bad place physically or even mentally spiritual whatever as you begin to think on these things then the pod can he can interact with his spirit to bring life to you when in this encounter that I was watching in this state that he was whatever it was he realized that the people that were there were he were going represented everything that he really hated gotcha and he real and then he saw himself and in this state he began to realize that he had been selfish as an atheist he'd been selfish he could have cared less about any other human it was all self-centered and he realized how ineffective he had been apart from his own self existence and that he had nothing to offer as these people he encountered in this dimension had nothing to offer to him except scorn and hatred and bitterness and they didn't like him either and in this state he had conviction now it's pretty hard to have conviction when you're already headed for the wrong part of the deal but he had this conviction and in that state there was something there you know I have to tell you something only spirit is everywhere the Holy Spirit is not bound by a human's journey of life or death whatsoever in fact in fact there's been information in the Bible where people have been raised from the dead having died and their spirit came back into them that's in your Bible that's not possible from a human standpoint so there's always something going here but the repetition of thought the thing that I was hearing as I began to talk today is that you cannot experience faith if you're living in the opposite if you're living in fear and dread you know you're not moving ahead you're not moving ahead you can have peace even if you're in the lion's den come on now folks you could have peace even if your name is Shadrach Meshach and Abednego you can have peace even if you just died and your name is Jesus for the sins of the world you can have peace but you can only have it in faith you can only have it in faith you can never have it in fear because of our faith it is impossible to please God fear is not a dimension of faith whatsoever and in this world that's happening today you cannot let your heart be troubled now I'm giving you another scripture when you see these things coming upon the face of the earth what does the Bible take if somebody find me that scripture you all got these cheekbones dig it up cheat well they're always s there's no it's anonymous phone it tells you know it tells you the truth isn't it unless somebody's program good with lies that's right it's generic and if not cheap either who's got that scripture when these things come upon the face earth do not keyword do not let your heart be troubled who has found that I bring the mic right to you time for time for a little Bible study maybe am i mixing four books of the Bible now where is it eyesight now I see you Luke 21:26 says men's hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things that are coming in the earth for the powers of heaven shall be shaken where's one is my way of wars and rumors of wars see that ye be not troubled for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet come for nation shall rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom and there shall be famines and pestilence and earthquakes in diverse places and you shall hear well starting in verse 5 for many shall come in my name saying I am Christ and shall deceive many and ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars see that ye be not troubled for all these things must come to pass Marsha's I don't have a cheese bone I got the Bible I love it so what does it say well you see these things what does it say now here comes the next part for these things surely come to pass here comes the next problem there is a lie that's running even across all plains society and the church especially that if all these things would stop happening we could be happy if all these things to just go away we can live peaceably what does the Bible say or the Bible says everything that can be shaken will be shaken but who should not be shaken in the shaking three people said me what about the rest of you you're shaking right shaking this is the new Christian dance you know you know Henry I want to say something about this I hope I can articulate it one of our greatest challenges with great reward is walking through fear and what it represents in this world today because really the it's really all about fear it's about yes bitterness is there and all these things but the thing is is that I mean I tasted just a really tiny taste of it when you were when after you were had your heart attack and Trinidad I remember just being totally surrounded by fear on every side and I remember in my little island going oh God how do I walk through this without succumbing to what fear represents the what-ifs of everything and this isn't that really what that scripture is even saying you know the what-ifs how's that gonna affect me isn't that everything that's going on now how's this going to affect me but the thing is is that there is a place of rest for us and there is there's a place wait a minute wait a minute there's a place of rest for women wait a minute time pause and consider Selah there is say it again there's a place of fresh thoughts I want to hear this audience tell me what's been prepared for us and why because we cease from our own Labor's which to me equals this how am I gonna do this how am I gonna do this it's not about how you're going to do this it's about how God is going to show you how to walk and overcome through this but we're always looking for our solutions on how to overcome the whatever now fast forward to the next phase of eternity wherever that is whether it's the Millennium whether its past someone and it doesn't matter this is the proving ground for you to get this really under your belt and to really understand that it's not by might it's not by your power okay but hits by his power sayeth the Lord okay and so the thing is so it you you cannot do this that's the first thing you got to get it you just gotta you just gotta wipe that off but you cannot do this I cannot do this dust cannot do this we cannot do this we are doomed to begin with this whole thing if we're saying we can do this okay so you get that get that off the playing field figure that out that's not not anything against you isn't though so don't love him to take a hike has nothing to do with that we are not equipped to do this and our creation we can't even do it it's not possible I mean honestly the Angels weren't so great at it themselves if you take if you remember so the thing is is that so we can't do it but God through us can do it and that's exactly what he wants us to do so with that being said if you think about the first scripture we opened up if you think on all these things the this is food for your spirit man to do this and I can tell you I am NOT very good at it either guys I mean allowing God's Spirit work with me to overcome I'm just like the rest of you but I can tell you this I had a taste a small taste of how God meets you in the midst of this by being be still and know that I am God shed all the other things away and you just listen very quietly and he says to you this is what you're gonna do this is how you're going to do it and it's not because you're doing it I'm right here with you we are doing this together and you're gonna walk through this just like Jesus could walk through the crowd because his time wasn't yet there's a way that God provides for us and I'm telling you I heard the roaring all the day long but I heard his still voice better than I heard that because when you boil it all down and you get quiet before him he's right there so I don't care if there's bombs going off I don't care if there's crazy people yelling at you I don't care what it looks like if you'll just go hmm let me think about this a minute and you begin to react ount think on these things think on these things and some and Israel did it all the time they talked about all the things that God did for them that's they recounted why do you think they did that because what you were talking about is because faith starts to come up and blossom into something that's working with God even more than it was when you were just right here so your mustard seed will do something it will it connects with God but remembering all the things that's why I said I'm surprised this open mikes not full because we want to hear how God met you how God nets you because we want to we want a song and a story of our own I mean it's okay to have that one I'd this good one because it's in the word but the acts are still going on and so we want to hear the song of our own I want to be able to get to heaven one day and go oh let's hope for the generations song I heard those testimonies we sang them back there or be in health I want to hear those songs oh my goodness we sang those songs so do you hear what I'm saying we have to get past where we are in our in our little little minut fear world and just let God shove that back and say be still and know that I am God and when you're still now we're gonna remember we're gonna remember what I did for you Donna remember that day when I called you to Salvage remember yes I remember that day do you remember when you were delivered of this and that I remember that day okay do you remember when Diane stood up there and she gave testimony how she was suffering yeah I remember that day so so that's what that's the things we're supposed to remember and that drowns out the accusations of fear that drowns out the accusations of bitterness forget unforgiveness etc rejection it drowns them out that's why that scripture today is so important to our lives right now now your greatest fear is your own fiery furnace the enemy will speculate with your fears you know when we come down to the Tribulation Period in those that won't take the mark of the beast they'll fight they'll face their fiery furnace one thing now I teach that the church is taken out before that happens I don't care what you've been taught there's five thousand teachings I'll disagree with each other but in their prophetic timeline that I see in Scripture it is my position that the first resurrection occurs before the Tribulation Period if you want to go through the tribulation period that's your faith go for it I mean that's what you want to do so I want to go to the Tribulation Period I don't believe the church I think the church is taken out take it out take it out take it out everyone his greatest fear is our fear the enemy is an expert in promoting fear and anxiety and stress as an expert in heavy withdraw the mama says a man who puts his hand to the plow you're you're plowing aren't you for eternity are you doing it if you are you're doing it in faith are you people of God it's pretty god with you with your liver what do you die you're the Lord's see you're plowing Shadrach Meshach and Abednego I learned as a kid they were named my Shack your Shack and a bungalow there's as kids we couldn't keep up with his big fancy name Shadrach Meshach and Abednego so we would struggle as little kids in Delhi Vacation Bible School so our teachers would teachers Oh think about this my Shack your Shack and a bungalow we got that but they put their hand to the plow they would not bow would they very good job Jim excellent job we got the picture but they would not bow would they Robin says he that puts his hand to the plow and looks back it's not fit for the kingdom of God remember Lot's wife you knew that was coming didn't you in the armor of Ephesians I'm gonna salvation breastplate of righteousness each shot preparation gospel of peace there is not one bit of armor in Ephesians 4 your backside I said there is no faith in running it takes no faith to run does it no protection for your backside they tell me the ostrich in the EMU who I can't tell who's who and whether it's South America or Australia I gave up but to tell me what this big scrawny bird with the big scrawny neck and the big butt what when he's becomes fearful he sticks his head in the sand because he has delusional thinking he believes because he can't see you you can't see him but the biggest part of him is the biggest target he's sticking straight up in the air think your best shot so fear allows you to be a bigger target and job said this and everybody talks about joke and have all kinds of opinions but here's what job said about what happened to him he said the thing that I have feared greatly as what the thing that I've feared greatly because there was no faith in fear fear or produced the blessings of Satan and give you the things that you're afraid of the enemy will always cause you to become phobic to become fearful to project the potential failure of something and it's a disease maker and it absolutely requires no faith to have fear in fact fear and faith are diametrically opposed to each other you have to decide that even if you're told that your fiery furnace is going to be seven times worse than you even imagined there is one that will walk with you in life or in death and the object of your journey is eternal life why would you be afraid see there is pastor Donna there is a place of rest there is a place of rest for the people of God and even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil aah four four four four David run her quick and get me I'm falling even though I walk David come up here get me quick be Jesus even though I walk through the valley for thou I shall feeleth ah who are you Oh see he's that he would never leave you nor forsake you he will never leave you fear has been diminished this day in this room that the speck of dust it really is because he is great and he is the author and the finisher none of your fears but he is the author and the finisher of your faith could you say Amen do you have a witness say Amen again prophecy when you pray I do not want you to pray a Miss and you pray and you desire that my presence be on this planet don't pray for ball dust or Nenana inanimate object that I might dwell I seek to dwell the temple not made by men's hands my presence in this planet the presence I desire is being the hearts of men manifested through them you about works of the flesh it's not about religious works it's about the fact that I want to dwell in the midst of you it's that you truly believe believe and operate in this belief that where you go I go also I don't want you to think that I should show up in the midst of you just when you call on me but I want you to take seriously what I've called you to I want to dwell amongst you I want to be a part of your life in him we live and move and have our being not just when we have a fiery furnace of your life often if Henry has to go do something and I'm not going with him he'll say well I don't like to leave you alone and my words are always I am never alone I am never alone and you need to start saying that to I I don't care if I'm just cleaning I am never alone never I always have that God had present with me always always now that'll make you think about what you're doing too because I mean there they are you know the Father Son and the Holy Spirit are with you but and even in the mornings I even say I'm so glad that I am NOT alone thank you for walking with me thank you for calling me to be your son / daughter and and so you need to start putting that in your vocabulary that you are never alone ever you need to start speaking it to yourself so that you start to believe it and when you start to believe it then you start to work walk differently because you know you're not alone now often times I've heard people say yeah I know I'm not alone I got a bunch of doubles going with me well hello I mean that's that's the the world we live in they're always there too right but you just said that I'm I'm in the world but I'm not of it and in him we live and move and have our being I'm not living in those things even though they're around me I'm living in him so you you need to start putting that in your thought process so it's stretched to become flesh to your flesh and bone to your bone amen Wow and we started as a service yet wow I love this setting work the Holy Spirit just comes and drops that exclamation point now god knows what we need to hear your father knows your life and your journey he knows this entire room and everything that you're facing so in the spirit of God comes and none of this was planned and it just comes in the flow it's designed by God to comfort you to give you faith to bring you to a place to be an overcomer to be able to know how to rest in him and find that place of rest in your journey it's a powerful thing even if it be your lion's den or it be your fiery furnace he is with you you have to settle this if you don't settle this you will be tormented by spirits of fear every day of your life I said spirits of fear and God is not giving you the spirit of fear didn't come from him so why listen to it a power love and a sound mind what is that he's giving you himself and God and the Godhead is much more powerful and superior to any devil that may speak to you or temp you or try to rule you and control you who is Lord and do you know who you are in your journey John 16 and the disciples are talking to Jesus and he's going to be talking to them about his time to come about the cross John 16 30 and the disciples say now are we sure that that you know all things we are sure Jesus you know all things and need not that any man should ask you by this we believe that you came forth from God jesus answered them do you now believe behold the hour comes J has now come that you shall be scattered every man to his own their fiery furnace and shall leave me alone and yet I am NOT alone the father is with me and these things I've spoken unto you that in me you might have peace in the world you shall have tribulation the furnace but be of good cheer I've overcome the world be of good cheer Wow yay we got two expectations in the testimony let's do Jim and then we'll go right down the line and we may sing a song we get that far why not see what happens so it seems as though my voice is a little bit hoarse I did kind of take over that skit you think so seems as though God is really saying here to be to become a doer of the word and that he's gonna help us do it and I just wanted to share a revelation that I had when I first got down here and by the way this weekend is actually our 12th anniversary of arriving in Thomaston so as 12 years ago this weekend we arrived down here to begin work with being health the call was 15 now she's 27 and 3 children Wow anyway one of the things that one of the first things that we're taught and being health is to begin to take our thoughts captive because our thoughts may not necessarily be our own and so we're you know that's very strongly emphasized in the for my life retreat is to take our it's captive casting down thoughts because they may not be your thoughts they could be coming from the enemy so when I was first learning how to do that a dozen years ago and really asking God to help me because you really can't do it on your own you have to recognize that he is with you walking with you all the time but that he's also there waiting for you to ask him to help you so and that's a really that's really a big thing is that God is waiting for you to ask him a lot of times you have to get you know sometimes I've had to get to the end of myself before I would ask him that's not a good place to be it's much better to ask him before you get to the end of yourself but anyway I was discovering that you can't cast down a thought by not thinking it that it doesn't go away by not thinking it it just keeps coming back because if it's not your thought is just gonna continually be reintroduced and your thinking and so you have to begin to it in order to cast something down you have to use a weapon that's not carnal you have to begin to speak to that thought or the source of the thought in order to cast it down and so God was beginning to teach me that so and that's really the removal of that other Kingdom and you know another basic thing that we teach and form in the for my life retreat is that ministry is the removal of Satan's Kingdom and the replacement of it with God's kingdom and so that's where God showed me that when I cast that thought down and address the source of that thought and got rid of it that's when I go to Philippians 4:8 and began to think on these things the things that are true and lovely and our good report and so forth but when I first began to do that I was doing it incorrectly because what I was doing is I would think about the scripture I would think about the word well thinking about the word is not becoming a performer of the word you have to think about the words so you can understand it so you can begin to do it we can to become a doer of the word and not a hearer only because if you're just thinking about the word you're here only so you actually have to figure out a way how do I perform this word so I had the ID the ID the feeling that what I needed to do was I'd make a list I started to make a list of all the things that were true in my life and all the things that were of good rapport and all the things that were lovely and so forth and you know God in our relationship with him they're like it's a like at the head of every list and then you know if you're married of course your wife is right up there too or your spouse or at least I hope they are so you know and then all y'all because we're all family you know we're all sons and daughters of God all sons of God so what God the revelation that God gave me was that in order to actually do that word in Philippians 4:8 I had to begin to think about the things in my life that were lovely and were true and were good reports and so forth and the revelation that I got was oh that's how you become a doer of the word you actually think about the word not just to think about it but to figure out with God's help how to perform it in your life and so that was the revelation that I got way back in my in the early journey of being here and I just felt as though God wanted me to share that thank you for sharing [Applause] well this is kind of comical then for me I did not know what Jim was going to share and it's a little bit different take on exactly what he just said so I too made a list about eight years ago when I was first here so I got here nine years ago but still you know takes a good year for stuff to come so anyway I made a list on Philippians 4:8 also and it was definitely to help me practice capturing my thoughts as Jim alluded to but it went like this it was all eight of these things with number next to it number one true number two honest number three just number four pure number five lovely number six good report number seven is there any virtue number eight is there any praise so my list was okay okay is it true don't think about it is it lovely don't think about it doesn't have any good report is it of any value to your spiritual health for the positive is it lovely and is there any praise associated with these thoughts and so I've never been able to really encapsulate how this scripture catapulted me through some stuff I just thought was never gonna happen in my life I really wanted it to but it seemed huge and and this is all I would stare at it was just on my fridge on my mirror and it was so simple and so I felt really led when we first got in the room you jumped right on that scripture and I thought well I could maybe sure the list might help somebody so maybe would help somebody is what I came up with that you you gotta you gotta collect your thoughts you have to do what Jim said the Kate version of that is yeah let it come out so you can undo it and but it sounds like what you can do is you used it as a filter yes a filter this is a filter like if is this a good report you know it's just lovely yeah that's pretty that's pretty awesome using as a filter because should I think on this thing look at this well I didn't know some stuff it seems so close you know and it'll trip you up but in the fear battle I mean when you guys start going off on that mic please pictures you know cuz that's what it was that's how I overcame it in it in it it hmm characteristics of Daniel and Shadrach Meshach and Abednego and even Jesus your Lord they were steadfast they were steadfast in the integrity of their hearts they were steadfast with me and thereby I could deliver them it is difficult for me to meet people that are not steadfast saith the Lord the reason are not steadfast is because they go through life looking this way looking that way looking to the left looking to the right they become double minded in their journey and they're upset and tripped up by every obstacle of life because they have not learned to be steadfast you're called to be steadfast not in fear but you're called to be steadfast in faith always believing for the best always looking ahead for the promises even into eternity this day you have heard ways to be steadfast make your list make your list the areas that you may need to become more steadfast and how you think and how you speak and how you act and let no one move you from the steadfastness of your convictions let your convictions however be based on my word not on the whims of those around you or society or even religious systems you must know my word because it is the foundation of what steadfastness is all about is that a yellow card holy just a moment I want you to ponder but the Spirit of God has just said this is a this is a mandate God gives us not suggestions but mandates we may take those mandates as if it were suggestion god never suggests anything because he's not double minded he has steadfast in his declarations because he is truth today you've been called to activate today you have been called to even learn how to think you've been called to even even look down on your own journey was some type of objectivity and even though you're walking through this life of pitfalls and obstacles and temptations and Fiery Furnaces and all that the things that you would walk through you're told one thing in Scripture and that one thing in scripture positions you different than any human on the planet if you embrace this thought and this is the position that you are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus far above all principalities and powers say to you if you don't become steadfast you become embroiled with principalities and powers they will torment you they will tempt you it will control you they will fill you with everything that's not my nature and then what do you do you may call out for my mercy you may call out for my healing you may call out for my deliverance could it be possible that my word is not just for healing and deliverance but to keep you from needing healing and deliverance because God would say to you it is not my perfect will the you and I spent all of our time together being healed and delivered that's contrary to the journey my word if you followed it would keep you for many Fiery Furnaces would keep you from a moon being embroiled by principalities and powers for it is written my word is a lamp unto your feet a light unto your pathway to illuminate this thing called the journey of eternity you call it life I call it eternity and in this journey yes you have an enemy yes there is a kingdom that is assigned to interfere with your journey so what and that called you to be ignorant followers of fatalistic thinking I've called you to walk on top of fatalistic thinking I've called you to walk on top of fears and dreads I've called you to look down on it and defeat it would you please give the Holy Spirit something to do in your lies he is to lead you into all truth yes he's asked the Paragard to deliver you is also the one that will defend you when you honor my word we just moved here this week and so for you who you chose schüttler so we came when Isaiah was a baby and 19 years ago 18 years ago and I remember when we were learning the entertainment part was so huge for me and I was so confused when I went back home how to share in our Christian community and there was so much people felt judged by us by trying to say what evil I was staying away from and years ago when Isaiah was little Chaz gave me such freedom in Christ with that scripture of Philippians 4:8 and said quit worrying about what you're keeping out of our house and just tell people this is what comes into our house and so with what our kids could be exposed to we said if it's not this it stopped the games that we didn't want them playing and the killing and the the way that kids play with each other and so I was just so excited when somebody said the filter child said use that as the filter of what I felt so much responsibility as a mom once I learned this how do we do this without every movie book asking chad's what to do I don't understand this and he said it's not what you have to stay away from if it doesn't do this don't worry about it so you know that filter was so freeing for me have that scripture excellent John find it come forth all right I have a testimony card but I do think it is in the flow just thinking a lot about festivities don't have to be in the flow I know that but it you know in Romans it says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God all that stuff you all know that I've had some crazy stuff going on in my life in the last three years and I've kind of haven't been steadfast like you were talking about and really wasn't believing in the word and really not coming to church a lot and about March timeframe I decided I really need to become more diligent and I've had some physical things in my body that weren't right nothing major and really over the last month or so one of the things I've been dealing with that's completely gone now is low blood pressure most people have high blood pressure and I've had low blood pressure and I was diagnosed with this about a year ago and they gave me a steroid to take and it got better and as I'm trying to become more diligent in March of this year I'm reading the scriptures and I come across this scripture and I think it was Matthew 8 13 and it's the one with the Centurion and it says Jesus said I'm facin sure and go thy way and as thou has believed be it done unto thee and I'm thinking about this and I'm thinking geez I've got to refill this prescription for this steroid that I've been taking and I thought you know what I'm not gonna do that so I took the little bottle and few other things that I was saying I just threw it away and usually this little blood pressure thing would manifest after I'd been sitting for about 30 minutes or so so I've been there for at least 30 minutes no low blood pressure symptom when I get up okay and so it wasn't an immediate thing and it was something that I had to fight and I had to speak to as Jim was saying earlier you have to take the word and use it and you have to ask the Father for help and particularly when I'd go up to the auction I'd be sitting in the car for an hour and I got to get up and like okay here we go is it gonna happen and if it would start to happen I just asked God for just give me a little bit of help here and the symptoms would subside to where I just don't have them anymore so that's it I want to I have a thought John that may be part of the journey of not only recovery but staying free of it and it is the scripture Hope deferred makes the heart sick but when desire comes it's a tree of life hopelessness and despair will defeat faith every single time it quenches our desire it makes us actually victims of a nebulous time-space that has no purpose except endurance I would say if I were to think about this my friend that in the process of you awakening you began to surface out of this reality and I would say that hope and which is what faith is is suddenly being rekindled that's going to affect your body because it says Hope deferred makes the heart sick but I'm looking at you through this plexiglass is interesting but when desire comes it's okay it's you're alright I guess I'll see you both one desire comes listen to this it is a tree of life that will take care of low blood pressure so something is happening welcome home welcome back to the planet [Applause] that really impacted me what you said about being steadfast and I got a scripture and I think is going to bring a lot more light about it did for me about how important that it is to be steadfast and I hope you'll be able to see it in this this is Matthew 25 and it's the scripture about the ten virgins and I think what I wanted what I got out of this was five were steadfast and five were not see if we can pick that up out of this I'll read it then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom so they all had lamps all ten of them and five of them were wise and five were foolish we need to discern why were five foolish and five wise what was the difference between these two groups one of them one of the five were not steadfast they let their light go out they didn't have any extra oil but what really struck me about this is because they weren't steadfast it seems like they didn't make the first resurrection keep going here they that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them in other words you have to have oil to make your lamp burn so because they did not have extra oil somewhere during their walk they were not steadfast and their light went out but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps so their lamps never went out because they had plenty of oil while the bridegroom tarried they all slumbered and slept so all ten of them did the same thing they slumbered and slept and at midnight there was a cry made behold the bridegroom cometh go ye out to meet him so they all got up to go meet him then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps they all did the same thing but remember five of them were foolish and somewhere during their walk their light went out because they didn't have any extra vessels with oil in them but the wise answered saying let me make sure I'm on the right verse here yeah and the foolish said unto the wise give us of your oil for our lamps or gone out see the light of the Lord quit shining through them and that's something nobody can give to you you have to be the one that's steadfast and let that light shine through you hey here's the result of not being steadfast and letting your light go out [Music] but the wise answered saying not so least there be not enough for us and you but go ye rather to them that sell and buy for yourselves I tell you what you remember what time it was it was midnight and nobody was selling oil at midnight it was too late it was too late for them and while they went to buy the bridegroom came and they they were ready went in with him to the marriage and the door was shut afterward came also the other virgins say Lord Lord open to us but he answered and said verily I say unto you I know you not this is really important to be steadfast and I just thought you know so obviously these these five foolish virgins they knew the Lord they had light in their lamp at one point but they weren't steadfast and the Lord came and he's warned us many times you know you don't know what hour I'm gonna come we need to be steadfast in our walk thank you in tracking your journey mentally what you just had heard now is called impartation we've heard this steadfastness now you're coming into impartation that impartation allows you to now use it as an application of your life just doing a little mental gymnastics here to stay focused and what you've been hearing we're going to take up the giving and then I have a presentation to show you because I want to impartation in this local church this morning if that's okay with you so want to use that your time of giving be sweet joyful cheerful according to the word it's unto Him everything come good comes from our Father and we love giving it back to him in a portion I was prompted to think about the very last scripture probably a bit because of what pastor Benny was reading and but the very very very last verse the entire Bible says I shall surely come and mixed with John Milton O's testimony about a Hope deferred makes the heart sick but when desire comes hey is the Lord our desire he's coming folks you make it your desire to see the Lord he shall surely come and what a joy when we get the object of who saved us when we'll meet him in the air we'll see him that way and what a joy that will be so I just we celebrate advance and Cheer well we give back to the Lord and our giving he's honored we loved honoring the Lord for all that he's done so rushers let's take up this giving father we appreciate you we thank you that we have a way back to you through your son we're not left helpless hopeless diseased just waiting to die but father we have a great hope and we have a great relationship through your son to understand how how to live and move and have our being in you and we just offer these gifts as a celebration that life is good life has been precious by being under your authority and your care in our life and we love you so much and we show our love by giving back to you in Jesus name Amen this year we and over the generations released a worldwide initiative called acts acts standing for Association at churches teaching and serving and in this early stage we have several acts churches in and also what we call gatherings and those of you that are watching this right now some of you are watching it outside of London England I would say good morning but it's good evening to you there and we have two gatherings outside of London and we appreciate what they're doing and others that are crossed America that are beginning our journey of establishing safe places of assembly and in the course of this I was working with Scotty Wu Hoshi a while back and he came to me and brought me what he considered in his study to be five ingredients of the first century church and one of our goals even here where the flagship Church for acts here in Thomaston and we want to continue to try and recapture what worked in the first century it worked for two thousand years religion has diminished God even in his church and we want to recapture the foundation of the Apostles and what worked and in this presentation that I just finished recently that's on the Acts forum and for those that are looking at Acts and our members of Acts gatherings or churches I want this fellowship to review when I filmed just recently because I want the impartation to come here I want the impartation to come here that all of you that this is your watering hole or you come together can embrace these five areas that I'm about to show you that I taught because there are crucial areas to the preservation one of the things you will see on this YouTube presentation is a scripture that has just burns inside me like a fire is when the Son of Man returns shall he find faith in the earth there such an anti-god Antichrist mentality even in the church god forbid that we have to have a spine could I say we had to be steadfast even in our faith regardless
