Explaining how the P-Organ System works in Lies of P

[Music] what is up everybody this is Keith Mitchell here from the auto heat production and I gotta tell you I love souls like games and I'm really enjoying lives repeat I've been playing this for the last week big thanks to PR Company who providers early access to the game and I know people on the PC uh Xbox and Playstation will be playing this game very soon so what I want to do is help you all not make the mistakes that I made what I'm talking about is the actual skill tree of this game progress far enough into the game you get access to what's called a p organ now the P organ is pretty much the lazy pe's heart however I'm not sure why I didn't call it heart or something but whatever but this is actually the game's skill tree and that first is very confusing because it doesn't tell you how to use it so what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and reset my organ P organ and start going through it again so you understand how exactly it works now this is pretty stacked I've beaten the game once so I'm already up to phase five but if you're just starting out the game you won't get there until you progress further throughout the game alright so I just reset my p organ as you can see I have a bunch of emptiness here now before I do this I want to explain how this actually works so before you can actually start putting skills into this P organ you actually have to get Quartz now quartz is an item that you find throughout the game it's usually hidden off the beaten path or reward or for a boss so it's really hard to get your P organ completely full unless you're someone who likes to explore there's been many times where I just explored out of nowhere and found chords so when you play Live CP it's going to be an interest to you if you go ahead and search doesn't matter where you are get off the beaten path find whatever because if you don't get all these quartz and I'm pretty sure I'm missing some you're not gonna be able to fill out this entire organ all right so let's talk about this so I wish I could minimize this okay so when you first start playing with this you only have one option here or actually I'm sorry you only have one phase and as you can see there are different phases there's phase one phase two phase three phase four and phase five when you first start playing this game you only have access to phase one and as you can see there are four different things you can choose from you can choose from either increase your pulse sales you can increase stackable window you can add Fable slots Fable slots basically your ability to do Fable Arts which is basically special attacks and Link Dodge now in order to fill these up you actually have to use smaller skills that you get there are perks and they're very useful so when I first started playing game I wanted to increase my P sales which is your healing so what I went ahead and did is I clicked on this and now it says hey you have two empty slots fill this up in order to activate the increase pulse sales one so you get access to four different uh Fields four different fields four different categories you have attack you have survival type which is basically your defense you have ability type which is basically um anything using Fable arts and then you have your item basically consumables Argo things that nature so you actually have to pick one of these skills and you can only have one from each category within a slot so for example I want to increase staggered duration because I know how valuable staggering is okay great now I have to do another one now since I already did an attack ability or uh build or category I can't pick another attack one again it's only one category per slot so I'll go ahead and I'll go enhance guard recovery because that's also pretty good now I've done that so now that I've fulfilled my objectives now I actually have access to the slot so it gave me one extra healing ability now I have to do another one because you actually have to fill out two of these slots in order for you to progress to phase two so great so now I'll go I don't want link dot to that was pretty useless to actually increase tackle window one I thought that's useful or at Fable slash one I'm going to go and increase staggerable staggerable window one because that's great and I also want to say I forgot to mention you do not have access to this until you get to a certain point in the game I may have already said that but I'm not sure so if I didn't say it I'll say it again I want to get access to this at a certain part of the game not the very beginning so don't go Keith you lied to me I don't see this you don't get to it until a certain port in the very beginning like I think the first half an hour or so maybe 40 minutes of given on your pace if you're fast or slow all right so I'm going to increase my stagger window which is fantastic which means if you stagger an enemy you have time to get around to hit them and do your fatal attack so now you can see I can use my attacks again because I've already fulfilled one slide I'm doing another one so fatal and enhancing fatal attacks is great to have because it does more damage when you crumble them I'm pretty sure you play Lively you played the demo already so you know what I'm talking about if you don't know I'm talking about when you stagger enemy they go into a crumble state which allows you to get a beefy attack what I'm called a fatal attack so we're increasing the window and by doing that we're also increasing the amount of damage I can do and since I have to do another slot I'm going to go [Music] I have to basically decide which one I want here and I don't like any of these so I'm going to go over to Ability type so charge Legion a legion is basically your uh your legion arm your special ability for your arm uh how much you get how fast you can charge the things that nature um but I'm going to actually use increased weapon durability recovery speed just because as you first start to play you may block more than you parry and that way you can increase your door building because once your weapon breaks in this game you gotta go back to the um Stargazer which is basically your bonfire for those Dark Souls fans or you're screwed all right so now that I've fulfilled two objectives I now can move over to phase two that said you don't have to jump directly to phase two if you want to get link Dodge and you have the piece or you if you have um the chords you can do that if you want to go add a fable Arts one which basically adds you more more Fable Arts you can do that and that applies to anything in here you don't have to jump to the next one it just opens up the path or maybe you have enough ports that you want to come back later on and get them so for the second one I want more healing as you can see it still has two requirements so what I'm going to do now is I have a second window every time you move to a second phase or third phase or so forth and so on you open up another phase so you can see phase three is locked because I have made it to phase three and four and five they're all locked so what I have to do is continue to go about and again when you start playing this game you don't have access to all these so don't worry about it you'll find them as you play trust me you will maybe not all of them and again I'm pretty sure I missed some of them but I'm gonna go and enhance my fable attacks which is great and then I'm going to go over to enhanced fatal attack pulse cell charge this is great because when you do a fatal attack it will charge up your healing ability which is good so I'm already one third or halfway over to phase three so now you can figure out what else do I want I will tell you when you first start playing add an amulet one or doing the regard or retained guard regain is probably two of the best ones to go for um but early on I definitely would say do the guard retain just because you again you'll be blocking a lot you will block even though this game is about Parry you will be blocking trust me so let's see I want to pick enhanced perfect guard duration which is good which means the window stays open longer as you can see increased storage destruction damage to enemies when a perfect guard is successful this is great this is great um so basically if you do a I don't know why I'm explaining them up but basically you do the perfect art and they hit you and it's successful they will take damage it's good stuff um so now I want to go ahead and I kind of want to do more Adam stuff because items in this game are fantastic so I'm going to increase the double limit by one trust me those in this game has saved me against multiple bosses so many times so now I'm at phase three um I can do more P cell recovery which basically means the the healing item will heal me for more I can increase uh wish cues which really didn't really think were useful I can decrease the short or decrease the time for the gold coin Intrigue which is way later in the game so I don't even recommend picking this and add built slot it's up to you I definitely think more healing is definitely better than anything that you can pick starting out um perfect guard destruction again just want to keep it going here doesn't make any sense to pick one and not pick two um lower damage when discharge is actually pretty good if you're out of healing but if you always have healing on around you then I definitely will pick this one increase P sell three it's not a slotted one so basically you get another one so you've already added one and two and now this one adds to three without taking up an entire uh slot or whatever you want to call this I call them slots so now I can pick up a third one and because I've already did an attack and I've already did a survival I have to pick between ability and I have to pick from an item but you're starting to understand what I'm talking about here you have to pick and choose what you want but you also have to pick and choose your main um perk your main bonus your main skill and then everything under it the smart slots are are supplemental the good way of explaining it so increase uh consumer effect duration is really good so now we're halfway to phase four so now I can choose and choose which which cubes which I don't really like uh again I said the gold coin tree is not very useful early on there's other items you can pick in the game that really does what that does so it's kind of a waste so I would add belt slots just because again having multiple items on you it's great especially uh throwables you definitely want to have more belt slot so we are going to pick enhanced charge stagger attack because you have to charge down and the longer you charge the harder you hit so this is great I definitely think there's another one that um goes with this very world I'm sorry if I'm taking so long guys I just really want to explain this because it really confuse me go see here I think lower weapon duration consumption is good because you definitely want to keep your weapon sharp as long as possible um this one also is pretty good lowest weight durability consumption because you start adding stuff it kind of becomes a pain so that's actually pretty good as well um natural recovery durability of an active weapon is pretty good as well if you rock two weapons because I had an issue with weight in my game I didn't use this because I only used one weapon at a time but you can do what you want uh we also can go back to survival types um enhanced p-cell recovery one is really good because again you want more healing stuff and then we have to pick a third one and see some of you start becoming very redundant some of them really good like quick wish I mean it's great later on but right now it's very redundant I don't really like it um charge Fable when Reviving is great if you die a lot um let me see charge Legion when attacking or limiting enemy is also pretty good but I think perfect art Fable charge enhanced one is good it's basically the more you you um perfect guard the more you get more um Fable all right so now we're in phase four phase four only requires three just like three three but as you can see we have a couple of different things here that were a lot better perfect guard calls and stiffness not a joke there I'm not going to use it increase special grindstone uses that's really good they have ADD Fable slots two uh we have ADD slots for the ambulance I definitely will tell you go with the amulet they're a lot of useful ambulance in this game that you'll want to get access to and you want to have them on as much as possible for this one enhanced charge stagger attack two just because we have the first one if you wanted to keep going here uh lower damage when dodging is pretty good early on and I don't know about later on because you're probably got enough Health to get past that uh Auto charge pulse when discharged but of course we got a good one here increase pulse sells four which means we're getting more health sorry for hearing the clicky of the controller it's very clicky um see here there's so many different ones to choose from I'm just trying to give you a quick rundown of how to proceed reduces stamina consumption for dash you definitely want this because you'll be holding down the dash button a lot in this game so we got perfect guard causes stiffness and we've got at Fable slot so this one depends on you if you use your Fable Arts a lot I kind of wanted the perfect guard cause the stiffness because we can break the stance for a person I like this a lot it's helpful towards end of the game and this is where things start becoming useless until you get to five uh enhance feeble attack two looks pretty good the other one and three we got a lot more here and four excuse me it's a perfect guard regain recovery that's really good enhanced attribute resistance is really good um if you're good at guarding or if you're good at uh pairing this is really good because it recovers some of the Guard regain this HP on a perfect guard successful so basically what happens is say you block and you get hit you get chip damage but you haven't lost it yet so if you pull off a perfect guard you get that back instantly so it depends if you're really good at doing perfect arts or not if you're not good at doing perfect guards I wouldn't pick that up then I would pick up lowest guard regain reduction this is great stuff basically it means is blocking you'll get the chip damage but you won't lose as much and then we have to go to do we are doing Tech we did so we have an ability and we have an item I would say lower charge attack stamina consumption just because you'll be using a lot of heavy attacks later on and now we are in Phase five now as you can see phase five one starts to you four different things but they have a cool they have a bunch of cool different cool things here right so we have at legionar we can do increased stackable window which is great fantastic towards end game uh we have regain guard third wow can't talk retain guard regain two which again I talked about this if you're blocking a lot you'll get hit but you'll do chip damage this allows you to keep more Health than chip damage now we also have him shoot and increase Cube usage wasn't really a big thing in my game and I kind of went with stackable window and I went with Guardian just because obviously they're a very defensive minded and now we have access to pretty much everything in here so I pick with crease stagger duration I would pick up there's another Hill in here there's a hill and there's an auto charge that's good if you lose if you use a lot of the um Elysian arms would have swore there was Argo lower Argo loss is pretty good as well Argo is basically your money in the game that's a pretty good one to have increased consumable possession limit too this is good increase throwable object possession too this is also very good again throwables are fantastic in this game use them against bosses they will bail you out trust me I've beaten the game already they help you out a lot um and there it is increase P sell five you're gonna have a crap ton of Health after that or items Health items I should say uh what else we got here we got we can't use any more so again you don't have to use what I'm doing here I'm just giving you a quick rundown uh increased weapon duration speed or a recovery it's really good as well as you are fighting towards the end of the game even middle of the game they do a lot more damage to you and obviously there's no Shields you block your weapon so you're gonna have to use your grinder to get your weapon back the fighting so you definitely want to do that so as you can see I only have one quartz left so I really can't use it anywhere I need to go back into my game and find more but that's a pretty decent skill tree and again hopefully I did a good job of explaining how this skill she works or your P organ or your heart again I don't know why they didn't just call it
