Evolving The PERFECT CREATURE in Thrive

hey everybody humblets welcome back to a game called thrive yeah this is the one where we um simulate evolution by creating a multi-cellular organism from a single cellular organism is that i think that's what this is oh look that's us we're being born oh it's adorable sort of a weird sort of blobby kind of way also for same reason this game is stupidly loud today wow it wasn't loud like this last time let's go ahead and nuke that maybe it was and i just turned it down ah but there we are the premium thrivium my player cell and we just get to wander our way through the primordial soup that we call this game until we find goop like this yes yes i love eating phosphates my favorite vegetable and glucose i do like sugar like no joke i'll eat sugar all day long and then we'll dive into some ammonia and some more phosphate and then come back here to the beautiful wonderful glucose see but now it's time to evolve to the pangonian vents actually that's where we are and we're just gonna stay here yep we're gonna just stay here for a little bit and start throwing some goop on us maybe just a couple more of these yeah that could work i don't know but now i have multicellular organisms no longer one and my friend is eating all my food for me what is that hydrogen sulfide nasty i don't want to mess with that but i do want to mess with this phosphate up here all that glucose is tasty too give me all that phosphate in my life there's a rock it's literally a rock i don't know why that's exciting but it's a rock oh yes ammonia oh hey bud stay away from me oh no they're making more of them i really don't like them right now maybe i should evolve and get away from them should i leave this environment i'm faster than them but i don't have any friends so time to leave straight to the pangoni in the sea floor where i have extra glucose by literally eight percent it's also significantly colder from almost boiling down to four celsius it's like boiling to freezing that doesn't make sense because this is a volcanic vent and that's just ocean floor moving time we're gonna get our boxes get the dollies out and then hire all your friends with pizza it'll be perfect we'll shove in one of these brain looking things and uh probably not that because there's literally no hydrogen sulfide here so maybe two brain things ah yes we got smarts in our life what is that just a little kidney bean i'm gonna stay with my friend i'm gonna name him carl me and carl we're gonna be the best friends ever carl found me the way to the pizza station thanks bud oh hot dang more deadly people i don't like them they're gonna eat me carl come back he'd be my sacrificial lamb no no no no ow would you just not do that right now evolve time stay away from me give me a predatory pilas right on my face and can i get a flagellum i need one yeah i get wrecked noobs learn to play oh i died whoops i guess that's life sometimes i still have a population of 182 so we'll be all right as long as i can find some goop to help me evolve further sweet purple goop oh balls they didn't realize there's things on top of me good thing they had literally no defense my pokey unit just destroyed them is that a banana i totally want to sit here and eat the banana all day no guys i've already made you extinct once get off my life leave me alone there's something about me that just really likes these brain things i hope it works out for me in the long run this is also interesting i am spreading glucose now i don't know why i'm spreading glucose i don't know how i'm converting it but i am oh you need help come here my friend oh haha sword fight oh i died take me to your leader fellow friends oh wow there's blue things i didn't realize those little blue alien boys here i drastically need more sugar in my life oh yes it's beautiful we got a bogey on our six turn around oh beautiful step ooh hello hello everyone nice of you to get dead this right here is a bountiful patch of all things that every single creature needs beautiful life force yum i will eat it all oh more purple juice whatever it tastes like grape i bet it tastes like grape yeah i wish i could go back to primordial soup everything tastes fantastic i moto glucose that's not good give me that sweet luscious glucose in my life now the sea floor and the bathtub phlegic area um they're pretty much the same so there's a little bit more of these things which is good but less iron which i don't even use so we're going here and then i'm going to slap on a couple of these bad boys and then i want one of these thigh colloid because this gives me glucose so it produces glucose this one turns the glucose into energy so that'd be cool to have and i should be producing a lot more energy than i'm using by wiggling my way through the soup as long as i can get more glucose in my life or i'm just going to get run on energy and die because that was the wrong way evolution happens oh look bogeys they kill me that sucks that's okay i found a new pile of glucose and i'm going to eat it all so if i go from the bathtub legit area pelegic to the mesoplegic um nothing really happens differently so i'm just going to do it hopefully i don't die and i also got more of these things but i found this thing which seems to be something's old life and i'm gonna eat it all for myself because its nutrients taste better than regular nutrients thank you for your sacrifice kind thing i like you maybe i'll just stay here and leach you forever for the history of eternity not just kidding there's a bigger area of loot over here i'm gonna eat all this up oh look there's some things that want to run right into my spiky boy die die come back here you don't have vagina in the back of you to make you faster i'm just gonna hunt you down i'm gonna hunt you down oh i died before i could hunt it down oh but i fell in loot over here look at that amount of ammonia that's fantastic oh more things to kill come back here he's so fast why do you have to be so fast what is that can i kill it no i want it though there's something very satisfying about this game about just being the primordial vacuum coming up and sucking up all of the beautiful nutrients in the world i should almost be paid to do this like be paid to be the vacuum man i'm the cleaner coming in and cleaning everything up oh hello getting rid of the trash too if you know what i mean die yep and you're dead too got him but it seems that my colleagues they've got a case of the dumbs in them that's a rock fellas that's me just okay whatever you'd you be you be you i ain't gonna i'm not gonna be the one to judge actually i am that's what evolution is for they win the darwin award and now it's time to go to the next level can i go there now i really want to i get some light which is amazing because light makes my thycaloids happy hopefully this works hopefully it works my glucose levels are dropping significantly i must find additional glucose but instead i find little pockets of hydrogen sulfide which is terrible all running out energy no quick give me a little bit of glucose my body needs it oh hot dang i can evolve i didn't realize i could evolve give me another one of these i want it in my life can i grab another one of these i can please don't die please don't die please don't die no i'm still out energy maybe i can spawn somewhere that has energy or maybe i'll be able to evolve before i die again come on come on oh i did see an area i'm gonna go for it right down here that could be it there could be some glucose here that's not there's no glucose there yes but i can evolve just barely in the nick of time and i would like to go to this next area because it has sunlight so i'm going to do that we're going to the sun the epipelegic probably totally mispronounced that that's okay i'm not a biologist oh beautiful sunshine give me the desires of my heart and my energy is disappearing again oh there's some glucose got it i got it my energy is back i'm feeling good about myself again no that's illegal die i have a pokey thing why would you attack me i'm not gonna lie this is a pretty difficult place to survive everything's dying around me all of my friends are leaving me i'm just trying to surf place to place to get as much ammonia as i can get off me why you're you can't attack now you don't have a pokey thing it's not cool to attack people that don't have pokey things if those guys have pokey things oh i'm gonna kill nope nice here we go that's what we really need energy and lots and lots of energy no guys this is my energy i claimed it i did the dibs you're not allowed to have my energy never mind you can have it i found a bigger one huh oh there we go that's a lot of good stuff i don't know how you could possibly be dying when there's this much food oh no wait no no no no stay off my friend i'm not gonna lie i really like it in this place i'm just gonna use that time to grow bigger i'm about to do a 360 no scope on these fools just got to get him close and then we're doing really do a quick flip oh oh no no no no no ah no we got an evolutionary battle here oh oh i got three of them down come on yes yes bad spicy boy oh no oh i got another one coming in hot bump okay good thing i got so much girth on me come on oh yeah put that green thing between us i did it i just killed four all by myself i didn't even have any friends anymore because i ate them all ah beautiful i could evolve again now i'm also thinking that i should maybe head up to here oh not the ice shelf that could be dangerous there's iron there oh should we go on the coastline oh it's warmer i like that i always wanted to go to the beach we're gonna move there do i get to go on land i think i can go on land oh it turns atp into ammonia wait we don't want that what is this thing allows for the evolution of more complex membrane brown organelles huh costs a lot of atp okay we're not making enough atp yet but i feel like having some more of these thylakoids could help because this way i might even not ever need to eat glucose oh i need to eat glucose but i'm going to make it to shore there is an insane amount of ammonia and glucose up in here there is so much of it no wonder everyone likes going to the beach uh oh oh oh i don't like this i don't like this i got a battle oh battle a big battle big battle big battle okay i'm getting hit behind getting hit from behind switch around nice i'm just going to destroy everyone oh packer thankfully they give me another pile of primordial soup so my little green brain things work extra good there's a slight problem at this beach there's a lot of competition for food and i don't like it here get sideways there we go we gotta strafe a little bit see these guys kind of look like me but they're not they're the enemy they're the bad guys these guys are the good guys that's the bad guy he's got a little yellowish tint to it oh no he killed my friend they still got a case of the dumbs they're trying to rock with their pointy nose i would kill you oh no there's a big school of three of them oh he just grew up i don't like that okay you guys fight and stuff and then uh yeah let all my friends do all the dirty work and then i'll come back in and clean up when i need to oh that was good job oh more bad guys run away okay fine no running away we will stand and fight where we are i'll just i'll be the distraction nice yes we're doing it i'll name him he'll be my friend i'll name him kevin that's a good name kevin turn around kill him no kevin kevin oh i can't i can't he's oh good job how did you kill him you don't have a pointy thing in behind gotta be kidding me just died again my population's running out every time i die we go down 70. again there was no defense against them they just came out of nowhere there's only 30 of us remaining actually it looks pretty cool i love it no no no if you kill me i'm extinct i have to evolve oh this is so much ammonia too oh this would help so much okay i might try to fight this out maybe i'll make him dodge through like poisonous stuff there we go yeah dodge take you stick down okay we gotta fight we gotta fight we gotta fight we got one one down one down nice nice run away oh no okay those are good those are friends good job friendos friendos are gonna die they got bad positioning okay i'm gonna go in right here we're gonna stop him oh no oh no no no no no no no no okay perfect perfect location yes one down one down come on friendos come on just keep swimming just keep no no no no okay in in yes beautiful and then this guy right in the side beautiful oh no those guys are big and strong and dangerous over there i got you though okay i'm gonna go in from the side we're gonna take this guy out oh no oh i'm stuck in between two excellent oh he just spawned that was not good but we killed them both where they stood nice we did it and another swarm has arrived this is not good swim faster swim harder do turn around turn i can't fight them all by myself no no no this is the there's no huge survival depends on this they were the future of humanity oh no no no no okay gotta guess oh oh okay okay that was all right i'm trying to find a big patch of ammonia and phosphate so i can level up nice we can level no we can't can i oh i need more potassium just barely oh this is so bad oh i gotta fight i gotta fight to the death no no no no no no no no just like 99 of all species that have ever existed your species has gone extinct i was i was that close to
