[Music] [Applause] [Music] come on are you serious fine i'll throw myself in the pit of death later can you just be quiet for a few minutes i've got a video to record sheesh [Music] i know it's the middle of the night but that doesn't excuse the lack of a skybox looks like the voids are back [Music] [Music] also what's with this ambient lighting the previous videos haven't used vignette lighting before and it would have been interesting if it ever came up again which it doesn't when villager dad turns his head he freezes ha ha this particular kind of awkward and linear animation happens a lot in this video so let's sin all of it now the light coming from the lantern is static and unmoving making no attempt to imitate a gas fire alright calm down calm down these blankets are far too wiggly a message to minecraft animators cloth physics are hard and usually not worth your time there's a very good reason why animators will avoid rendering materials like long hair flowing fabrics or cloth whenever possible you ever wonder why video game characters sleep on top of their bed sheets or why else's hair clips to her shoulder in the first frozen movie that's why also the texture of the storybook looks so flat compared to the very textures on everything else it could also be an issue with the onset lighting in the shot since the only sources of light are from the two lanterns with no offset lighting illuminating the dad and the storybook either way it's a sin there's some texture flickering on the top of this lantern you know the fire is supposed to flicker not the lantern itself right this is an ancient tale the dad's in a different position from the last shot this is as good a time as any to get those continuity sins out of the way oh and his head clips right into his torso so that's freezing continuity clipping cloth physics hey bingo is villager dad starting his bedtime story from the middle maybe it's one of those academic editions with a forward that spoils the whole book before you've even started reading these two villagers to the right have identical walk cycles as to the two villagers down at the bottom of the screen not to mention all of this foot's lighting [Music] our frosty friend bob slides forward without any animation until he gets to the doorway of his igloo bob's igloo is so overexposed it's almost blinding my eyes bob lived in the center of town the snow golem's arm compresses and there's this little bit poking out of his arm right here no a bit over to the left there it is i'm not sure how sticks would be capable of curving like that without snapping he thought he was funny a bit of a clown the stick textures on bob's arms are of an inconsistent size relative to the rest of the artwork this is such a weak pose i don't think anyone would be scared of that also that fill light on bob is incredibly obvious bob had a job to guard the town at night you can see the badge magically appear on bob's chest i think bob had it the whole time and was just waiting politely for the mayor to go through the motions several of these villagers have the exact same animations it's especially noticeable since it's not that big of a crowd and the offending villagers are so close together he throws snowballs at anything in sight we're not going to sin bob throwing snowballs faster than is physically possible since that's an obvious example of cartoon logic but you could at least keep the snowball spawn area consistent with bob's stick hands this snowball is moving independently of bob's hands i don't know why this village your child is complaining it has an invisible force field blocking the snowballs librarians this villager has a pretty delayed reaction to the snowball hitting him in the face this happens quite a bit so we'll just tack on an extra sin for that is there a franchise of children's books about devious snow golems and if so why do they all have the same cover otherwise i can't explain how this book exists before the story it's telling has happened so this raises another question do the villagers just hold things precariously on their arms it looks like the book just fell off the top of this villager's arms where it was magically defying gravity the priest and his hats on the cobblestone you can see that the motion blur messes up during the zoom it was most likely rsmb again thanks after effects the priest's third hat decides to float genially backwards then flop straight to the ground after hitting the wall so the towel held a meeting there are so many copy pasted animations in this video five cents for all the copy pasting five sins for all the copy pasting five sins for all bob is floating in the shot he really is magical after all it's pretty obvious that there's no global illumination in this entire video all the shadows in this video are so dark and there's absolutely no light bouncing here so the shadows are completely black so bob apologized bob's cage has a bit of z fighting issue at the top of the iron bars and bob kept his promise oh golly gee it sure was nice of that sign to plant itself in the ground for that villager there was peace in the houses the lighting in this shot is so confused the fire in the fireplace is overexposed to the point that it almost looks white yet is hardly admitting any light beyond that while the torch over the door is brightly illuminating the doorway and nothing else this wolf's knee is z fighting with the rest of its leg the streets and the park the only sliding that poor villager child did was when it was coming to a stop at the very end but things changed quite quickly when it got dark thanks to this weird skybox the full moon appears to be brighter than the sun which is untrue both in real life and in minecraft where the ambient light value drops from 15 to 4 at night breaking down the doors is this a zombie trying to knock down a door or a two-year-old throwing a and the walls tantrum the floors oh look we're floating this villager was hovering in midair until the camera whipped hands over to him also where have i seen this before [Music] just to be clear we're not gonna send this but i thought it was kind of funny nearby and i found the zombies broke through zombie in front is a lighter green likely because there's a light shining on him that's not hitting the other zombies that's one slippery zombie uh actually zombies can't open fan skates in minecraft you want educated [Music] oh no my pumpkins they're attacking them hey hey hey don't lump this guy on the right and with the others he's just having a nice bongo session with his pumpkin it was then bob decided he would break his earth that was one awkward transition between sign and entity it reminds me of the incredibly silly death of one of the main characters from minecraft story mode you know the one pork chop oh so the indoor torches are emitting light correctly now but they aren't even doing it properly the lights reflecting off the underside of the roof as if someone was shining a flashlight from below these snowballs aren't affected by the nighttime lighting and seem to have been added in post then promptly put bob back where he belong there's no obvious lever or button to close the bars on the cell if this is an automated system i can only hope that no villager children accidentally wandered into it even behind bars bob could pummel them with snails bob has only just started throwing snowballs when the shot cuts in but two villagers are ducking for cover another is reacting as if he's already been hit and a fourth is getting trampled like he's at the pamplona running of the bulls those first two villagers are either extremely paranoid or they have the reflexes of hummingbirds that's a nice ragdoll you've got there villager were you a dark souls enemy in a past life there's a guy in this crowd with both a run cycle and ragdoll physics the result is that he's being carried away into the crowd with a sideways jitter adding five sins for the most cursed writing animation i've ever seen yeeesh the lock on this chest is gold instead of the normal uh not gold this most likely occurred because the animators exported the model straight out of my ways without changing the material anyway good night first the sound comes from the screen center [Music] even though the dad has moved out of the frame camera left so the sound should be coming almost entirely from the left speaker secondly dad's arms are stuck together so what is it exactly he's clapping maybe i shouldn't think about that too much thirdly seriously a joke about the clapper the sound activated appliance switch from the 80s in a 2019 minecraft video wow and i thought our jokes were dated [Music] nice oh god it's lighting uh oh the shadows oh put the lights back on please that camera angle is pretty weak for a jump scare the field of view should have narrowed and the zoom in on his face wasn't nearly dramatic enough maybe some shakiness and a color grade change would have helped as well that would have been more extreme and menacing and now our conclusion this video suffers from rushed animation like glitchy bed covers it has a few moments of laugh here and there though it's not quite as good as their usual fare perhaps some more time would have helped elemental but also i like that they got experimental with cameras and lighting and interesting quirk i hope these creators keep up the good work no [Music] all right calm hold it hold it what is this is this a kissing book [Music] let me [Music] you
