still yeah thanks I think so sure no not I think specs is out specs is what specs is gone yes okay way too old Shades though so it works I'm gonna ride my bike onto the stream next week yeah jump on a motorcycle just ride it into there we go bike okay bikes bikes they're huge everyone loves them I had a complaint like I wasn't sure how good this show was going to be because the your title screen is not up to par it looks terrible it's you know it's it's it's making me pessimistic about how the show is going to go I understand uh I made that my glasses weren't clean and I couldn't see I rushed it you know it's not indicative of the show though that I rushed the title screen it is okay it is this whole thing is just a just a giant rushed cluster God the end of the day yeah okay well it's gonna be a bad thankfully I feel like we've trained our audience for that like that's you know the expectations are low yeah some people really like like they expect like the bad title screen and you know they kind of enjoy the the shittiness of the show it's relatable yeah absolutely I know what you're referencing Cody you know what Zeke's referencing I I'm just talking about how crazy bad the show is so what are we talking about there's some star filled drama oh drama oh I just I just made the connection to be clear no I didn't get that at the beginning and I do think the show is terrible yeah I know but now that you're talking about it yes um no I know exactly what you're talking about and and I and that whole situation is so ludicrously overblown it at this point here's the thing here's here's the problem when social media turns into money for clicks yeah it's that people will do anything to get clicks and we're starting to see that more and more and more and uh and this whole title screen Fiasco is just a great example of that yeah it uh for those the full the full explanation uh the star feel review codes for Starfield went out this past week and uh the title screen for Starfield uh quote unquote leaked and a lot of people are using that as whatever uh ammunition whatever you want to put in there for um the fact that Starfield is going to be a bad game and that it will be rushed and that it blah blah blah blah blah blah blah uh and for the record it's just silly we have seen gameplay of Starfield we know that they're going for a simplistic kind of like I think I think either their words or some very common words around it are like NASA punk where it's like it's very function over form like that's the aesthetic of the game is like simple raw like you know they're not going for like floofy and italics and cursive you know like it's just like boom boom like it's it's function over form so the cover the the title screen of Starfield believe it or not is very sterile function over form it's just a block of options on the bottom left you know a thing on the right tight on the left so people are flipping out and literally making some of the the most ridiculous well clearly this title screen shows that the entire project was rushed out the door and um this is indicative of of all the problems that this project has and it's going to fail let me just look at the title screen yeah it's obvious you know uh obviously it's it's the whole thing's done I'm not even gonna play it after seeing this I'm not even I'm gonna play it I think it all started from uh from Mark Kern uh who tweeted uh the start screen of the game can reveal a lot about how the rush team or Rush the team was and how much pride they took in their work star field starts green either shows Hasty shipping deadlines by Passion a team overworked or a team that didn't care and that was kind of like where it all yeah and for the record the guy that posted that is known for trying to start [ __ ] on Twitter frequently has horrible horrible takes yeah and and does things just to rile the communities um so it's like you know this is the last game that that guy made was Firefall so yeah it's the whole situation is just ridiculous a little rough yeah uh Pete Heinz actually uh responded to the whole uh kerf level this morning at about 8 30 a.m so that's a little over a little under four hours um and someone tweeted him and said hey DC Deacon next time you and the lovely folks over at bg3 uh uh instead of rushing to make the game with many systems factions choices and way to play I would urge you to only focus on the title screen so you guys simply won't appear to be Hasty or didn't care any responded and said or they designed what they wanted and that's been our menu for years and was one of the first things we settled on having an opinion is one thing questioning a developers care because you would have it done differently it's highly unprofessional coming from another and then he put Dev in quotes bad tweet is from the main tweet is beating the first tweak in terms of ratio like yeah it's it's such it's such a it's such a joke of a situation like it's it's one of those just like yeah yeah and also to put it slowly I think the title screen looks great I think it's clean I think it's like it looks super like I have zero issues with that I fundamentally one thousand percent more care about the game itself than you know design choices on a title screen like my Lord dude that's the kind of guy who would walk into a bookstore and be like see the cover of this book you see how there's not enough boobs on it this book right here is garbage this is what they call Art of War I this is junk No One's Gonna read this literally judging a book by its cover you know I'm like that is right the biggest thing it's very weird and it's just it do you think that that uh that uh Pete Heinz was like because I I could see I could see it both ways if he was like oh you [ __ ] and he was like I'm gonna get you or he was like long deep sighted oh I think it was long time he is that is the definition of disappointed Dad yeah it's just like I and you could tell because of the last sentence he's like I expected more of yeah I I wanted you to be better and you weren't and I'm I am disappointed the amount of what you said do you actually expect more from someone like that well maybe not maybe Pete I think he expected he expected more from his colleagues as deaths yeah I think that's what it indicates he's like you're you're bet we're all better than than this we're all better than you well maybe that's not the last part but you know what I mean yeah you know what I mean you know what I mean I'm not mad I'm just disappointed Pete's definitely handled it perfectly the block a while so he's probably like there he's seen it all right like we're we're talking about the the guy that was involved in the horse armor debacle like two decades ago the creator of the MTX as it were at least in the Western World so like he's probably just like I need a cigarette that's where he's at uh and if anything it's also a little telling with uh you know what that conversation is going to look like when that game comes out uh two weeks from now if that's if a title screen is already this evocative of conversation wait till people can play that game wait till review scores come out for that game wait till everything happens for Star field it's gonna be wild uh it's it's gonna be uh it's gonna be an interesting time to to see all that especially after the the like I would say generally well maybe not but the more recent uh like positivity for Boulder's Gate three there is of course negativity on all that we had a whole discussion about it on the show uh two weeks ago or a week ago but yeah it'll be kind of a big shift I think from all of that when Starfield comes out especially if it doesn't live up to everyone's expectations and the chances of that happening is pretty low because expectations are wild uh for that game so we'll see uh it did go gold we talked about reviewers are currently playing Starfield at this point um that was on I think Wednesday or Thursday I woke up to a bunch of people on Twitter saying like I'm going to space I think that was the tagline that they sent along with the code so you could tweet that you're playing it is you you have to say you're lifting off or you're going to space or something like that because that that's what they all LED with so people are playing it there's no Impressions uh I would assume that embargo is sometime for that week for reviews I'm sure that will eventually leak as well um and then there's a bunch of people that uh I think in my chat right now are saying that One reviewer has already broken NDA and has given Impressions one sec so yeah those people will It's gotta happen yeah it happens all the time it happens all the time uh as long as it's not an influencer I won't get upset if it's an influence or I'll get upset because when an influencer does that they demonize everyone uh in the influencer space and punish us all which really sucks pretty much and it's happened a lot it was a YouTuber oh great it was a [ __ ] YouTuber well there you go uh thanks a lot Bud really appreciate that one there I'm sure that uh Bethesda will once again look at um that [ __ ] and and make sure that influencers and and people get it at the last possible second yeah sorry no you're good um so that's kind of is there anything else star field relate I don't think there is kind of just reviews are out or sorry review codes are right yeah um there's a Starfield date of mine that was saying that there's no shines no signs of Nvidia dlss or Intel X ESS which makes sense because they're partnered with AMD so I think they're going to be using amd's uh like super sampling um thing oh whatever and to answer questions in my chat no I don't have a review key I don't think that's I mean they're mostly giving review keys to reviewers yeah yeah when and I have been very public that I would have nothing to do with the key right now I'm not gonna play it off stream yeah yeah there's no point oh it says uh Tom Warren tweet out star field review embargo date is August 31st at 9 00 a.m uh Pacific 12 p.m Eastern 5 p.m UK I'm playing right now stay tuned for The Verge review so there you go uh that is that Alders gate still trucking along still dominating uh a lot of the the discourse as it were um I think IGN came out and gave it a 10 out of 10. uh and that was that's that's the one of the most recent talks I've seen about it um top rating in 17 years yeah I gave it a 97 I think was that score um currently it's at 731 000 players which is wild considering that game has been out for almost three weeks at this point uh and it's seeing insane insane numbers um they hit their all-time Peak last week at 875 000 we'll see if they get uh close to that today it's for whatever reason Sunday seems to be the biggest day uh what else is going on in video game news start feeling Baldur's Gate kind of dominating everything trying to see if there's any uh I got some video game news let's hear it I play videos I was expecting Zeke to fart into the mic after that no I mean I could still do that I mean you don't have to ask me thank you thank you nailed it that's why I'm on the show baby now yeah buddy uh no uh some uh people in my chat have already have already noticed the the um partner anniversary thing like the auto twitch thing that says like hey is this streamer's partner anniversary oh yeah so yeah 10 years nice when when was your actual uh like what date was it because they do it in like a range right was it today or was it no no it was like uh uh let's see like six days ago oh okay 13 14th awesome like that so it wasn't too bad yeah but or wasn't too far off but yeah well congrats on 10 years where do you see what your date is I think you have did you have to enter it manually what's what's the process I I don't think I've done it yet Zeke no no it's automatic oh okay I think it's automatic where is it at them if you know where it's at or did it just happen for easy no I just I I popped I turned on my my dashboard or yeah I think my dashboard or one of my chats or whatever and it was just right there it said happy anniversary would you like it's like like the hype train thing would you like to share with this streamer happy partnerversary or whatever yeah huh and that's what it was yeah so I'm curious to see because I'm curious to see what they put in as my partner did I because they I don't know if that was tracked back then I'm very uh I wonder if that was like the contract signing date or if it was like when the system updated uh 12 years ago or whenever that was but yeah uh that's cool is there any other twitch Updates this past week oh it didn't uh they upload updated it so you can now when you block people it's an option when you block people on Twitch that they won't be able to see your stream anymore that was I saw that going around on uh the most recent update of patch notes um but you hack I think you have to opt into that um so I'll repeat this in like two seconds because both of them are reading something else all right no no Hey listen I got my attention dude no I was looking up my because I have my my partner letter like the letter that of when I got it like anyways yeah uh so Zeke I'm just trying to find that date I'm sorry oh just a second uh Barry linked it to me I'll just link it to you and uh yeah uh you can now block people from watching your stream by blocking I like oh yes I saw that that's a great feature if you if you ban somebody they you can have there's a little toggle that says ban them from also watching your streamer videos or or maybe not videos but your live stream at least I think it's just live stream yeah I don't know if it's videos um I don't know the the full effect of it but um I think it's good for like people that you know are stream sniping you uh if they're like twitch TV username matches their in-game name uh that's good um and then just like you know stalkers that's also good if you have a verified stalker account uh of course they can just log out or go to another account uh to you know watch a stream but it's still a good uh it's just it's as big of a step as twitch could take I guess apart from just like IP Banning them from watching a stream which has all sorts of problems which has a massive amounts yeah yeah uh yes yeah it's a requested feature I think though that people have been wanting for a very long time and for them to deliver on that is uh it's good it's a good change good update yeah it's funny isn't it isn't it funny how twitch is adding more like protective layers and certain social media sites are taking them away right yeah yeah this morning it makes no sense yeah it's it's a it's a weird thing for sure it's a very strange thing uh also on the topic of twitch uh they announced sub Timber is uh is gonna be a thing it's presented by team fight tactics this year uh okay on September 1st you'll be getting 25 off one month Subs 25 off three month subs and 30 off six month Subs uh uh there's some percentage 20 off on the twitch loot cave in the US UK and Germany and then on September 26th uh you'll get 25 off on all gifted Subs uh is when that will go down I think that lasts till the end of September so that's cool I guess that's a good thing that uh they're doing it again I I think people still wished it was 50 off but hey percentage off on a sub is percentage off on a sub oh is it that Zach you see worked out he's like if you do the sixth month of the T3 with the September benefits a hundred percent of the proceeds goes to the streamer you pay nice which is like the first time that's ever happened yeah that's good so that's good how that worked out uh what else it's also really expensive for the record that's like it's like hundreds of dollars yeah oh yeah the the tier it's hundreds of dollars it's very expensive yeah um uh what's uh wayfinder uh launched uh in parenthesis it launched like a classic MMO is what it did yeah we had a classic MMO launch we had an MMO launch uh this past week uh in in way finals today uh what was it gethalian tweeted today that he was in queue for an hour and a half then he got to play for like four hours things seem to be getting through finally it looks like so if you're if you're a wayfinder player it looks like there's a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel well that's good that's good um I know a lot of uh I think co-year included in this a lot of streamers were scheduled to do sponsored streams um uh when that ice cream has been moved twice now yeah and possible I'm supposed to do it tomorrow morning and maybe move to third time we'll see yeah there's been a bunch of sponsored streams moved um they did hit their all-time Peak on Steam about 26 minutes ago at 24 532 people playing it at least according to steam DB so looks like the number count is going up they're getting servers in there uh that are you know stabilizing I guess esteemed the only place that they're available yes it seems really low to be having server problems for yeah that's that it does uh it does indeed um it's it's it's it's it's been a weird launch for them oh it's on PS5 as well so that's that's probably a large player okay yeah um but it does seem relatively low for server issues to uh to come up especially with like again we don't know like how much uh they have been helping or how much they've been involved or how much of the server infrastructure they're providing but uh digital extremes is the publisher behind all this they handle Warframe uh they're very well versed in you know having a lot of people play a game online continually so you never really know uh what that what that means behind the scenes but you would think it meant something uh but they they had a very rough launch I think they were originally supposed to launch on Tuesday and then they delayed it by 48 hours to Thursday at noon uh 1 pm Eastern on Thursday then it went live and it just it it kind of crashed and burned just to be clear for chat no we we were saying that it was it's the launch was like an old school MMO wayfinders is not an MMO no it's it's like it's a destiny it's a it's a multiplayer game online it's not an MMO yeah I would say it's it's more akin to uh uh Warframe than anything it's fantasy Warframe uh you get characters that you can grab uh buy grab as a you can buy characters uh you get a handful of free I think you can also get them in game for free uh with enough grinding uh those characters have four specific skills there's uh weapons that all have their own specific skill um that you can mix and match with any of the characters and then there's uh I think there's like an in-game item level as well so there's some sort of item level aspect I will say there's there's a certain a certain amount of Comedy to the point where it's like yeah so we're partnering with this other Dev and they're gonna make their game and the other Dev is like so we're taking the first devs game and basically making a version of that it's like cool yeah great yeah I mean it makes sense I guess why it works right you go with what you know right go with what you know absolutely and then and now Warframe devs are making another version of Warframe as well with soul frame yeah soul frame yeah which yeah is is a is its own thing um is wayfinder free to play it will be in six months right now I think it's a twenty dollar uh buy-in um there also is a 150 buy-in uh and that was another huge point of controversy this past it's got a lot of monetization yeah there's a lot of monetization a lot of monetization uh if you were one of the Unlucky uh I would say large group of people uh that bought the 150 pack to um to jump in uh I think Julia was one I didn't receive it you can launch the game and not receive any of the things that you purchased for 150 and the fix for that is to screenshot your inventory and send them an email and uh Julia apparently did that and was told that there is no ETA on the Restoril so they're apparently focusing on other things before yeah getting there already customers or items which is I mean under it's I guess you could argue that you know having the game be playable is probably a priority yeah that's understanding Chad is saying they already fixed it but in the sense that they've they gave the people that didn't get any of that stuff the fix or that they made sure it didn't happen again and they're going to rectify everything else in the future I guess there is a difference in that I I don't I never sent an email I had path of X out of place so I was just like yeah I just go go play something the second okay so it looks like the second so it's not happening anymore they've kind of stopped the uh the leak but you still have to uh he still get an email people are trying to get their stuff cool okay uh and then the other big thing that I think really took uh on social media about playway finder was the monetization um what's the the Set uh values for everything so that you could buy 1100 credits but that a new character was 1150 credits so instead of spending ten dollars you had to spend 19 to get an eleven dollar character uh and it looks like Chad is saying that also got fixed so cool good to see that they're responding to all that uh and uh in due time I will also say that that is uh pretty much the norm it's not like they are the outliers in there that is uh monetization 101 which not saying that that's uh you know good that that's the way it should be but they're just copying what the industry has already set forth in front of them they're not The Originators of that type of deal so and in in cases such as this it's always my favorite thing to do to go to the steam page and peruse the reviews um big shout out to the devs for working really hard to fix the big issues going on of checkscript players missing their founder pack items haha perfect that's the problems that's the problem players were having not the fact that 90 95 percent of players can't get in the hours plural long queue often ends up failing once it's your turn but doesn't tell you it failed or being kicked mere minutes after joining or the thought that the constant disconnects and server issues the chance of losing items or their benefits is very high yes this is what they actually said in the Discord was something they fix ASAP players missing items uh the next review is just a two-word review finder yep that's been the tagline for the game yeah um and then this one actually quotes I think some legalese section 5A Federal Trade Commission act FTC ft uh 15 USC section 45 prohibits unfair deceptive Acts or practices in or affecting Commerce [Laughter] yeah yeah what's the overall uh uh steam review uh on that 30 positive so 70 negative okay how many reviews mostly negative 8 639 totally understandable for a game yeah like that's that's exactly what it's gonna happen if you release a game you're not ready for it rough launch yeah yep uh but yeah we you mentioned goth saying like once he got in I think once people are able to play the game they're having a fine time with it it's just a good time just gotta get through all of that um I was able to play like 30 minutes before I got dc'd on Thursday evening and it seemed fine the AI was kind of bad uh bad and I would shoot an AI and they would just kind of stare at me Menace sling menacing and just oh I'm dead okay all right and that might have been server issues uh instead of uh AI so yeah I'll jump in uh maybe um in the future once all the the stuff gets fixed and I can just click play and there's no issues and we'll see how that goes so that is that uh what else has happened wait outside a club like to get in like for at a function I'm not sure if you guys have done much I've never been to a club on purpose you wait oh true that's fair but you wait outside for like two hours and you get in and it's like oh my God this is great I'm so glad we got in and it's like last call you're like [ __ ] [ __ ] you that's what that feels like to me yeah yeah you're not wrong you're not wrong uh there are some news from uh Spider-Man 2 uh uh that for an accessibility option uh they're letting you slow down the combat to 30 percent speed at its lowest I think it's sixty percent thirty percent uh and then like regular game speed uh but kind of a cool option just to be able to slow all that down um if it's if it's too fast for you the content is too uh too intense for you you can just slow it down it's pretty cool I'm curious to see how that actually like plays if it just looks like it's in slow motion or if it is it still plays fine um we'll see could be a cool line I totally missed the game title what was it Spider-Man 2 oh okay okay yeah that comes out later this year uh and then there was uh there was a Destiny 2 thing not not like any big news but they uh Destiny 2 has been having kind of a rough go I would say their community's been a little bit uh upset in the past 30 years I would say just in general but let's say six months for the purpose of this conversation uh and they had the uh the game director uh Joe Blackburn who just tweeted out a like 16 minute video talking about the community response to the the state of Destiny 2 and like it was him sitting in an office with like a a little note like a journal that he had put bulleted some points out and like no PR there was no like crazy camera shots it was just looked like he was a streamer talking to a camera and saying like hey this is how we feel about this stuff this is what's coming and it seemed it was kind of cool uh like it it was nice to see that um you're you usually get a lot of like very produced uh very like marketing touch the [ __ ] out of this um style pieces um from just in general from companies these days and for him to just get out there and and be like yeah this is what we're kind of talking about this is what we're doing um it was a little refreshing he also said that he's going to be streaming over the next um x amount of months he's just gonna fire up a stream and like play Destiny uh and that Community has had a pretty uh they've had their like community outreach removed from them due to uh some really bad actors in that uh in that scene that have uh harassed the [ __ ] out of the community uh folk at at uh at Bungie so kudos to him because he's going to be out there like doing raids and stuff on stream and being kind of like the face of that uh and and being the main outlet for all of that so I guess we'll see how that goes for the first stream and if future streams follow that um very brave of him to do regardless and and kind of cool that he did that and I think it went so well it it was received very well within the community so what's the like what what now like what's the synopsis like of of why Disney two players are good um I was gonna say I think I think you know especially after the Destiny or excuse me Diablo 4 firesides I think a lot of people are getting much more not only used to the idea but actually kind of liking the idea of devs just being more a bit more real um which is kind of funny because the Fireside Chats kind of earned to something a bit different as they went on especially after the big patch Fiasco but I I think that it's uh it's not only something that people want but honestly something the entire the entire Dev Community can do a lot more of as I think that they a lot of times underestimate how much players prefer organic viscerally honest talk over marketing PR [ __ ] so like I in a lot of Industries you know the marketing PR is what you do it's the face that you put forward but a lot of a lot of times Gamers just really don't care for that stuff and even more so we've been earned pretty hard by it in cases like cyberpunk and things like that in the past so the more kind of just organic and honest you can be with your community the better yeah um that that thing you're talking about uh you know I'm not even um a destiny player and that was making huge rounds in my community for a while so granted we do have a very large amount of my community just play Destiny but it's it's you know it's a big deal when devs kind of go out on a limb and do that so yeah nice it's very nice it's it's in the grand scheme of things if a developer is ever talking to a community especially one of that size it's always going to be filed under marketing right like that's just it just is how it is but that's probably the the best way to do it in the sense of like one guy one camera usually in them by himself doesn't have any like Hands-On it's just him talking uh that's probably the best way to do it um to really like start to to try to earn back the Goodwill of a community because that's that's the goal of that right is to get information out there to to soothe the community's response uh and and it's probably the best way to do it instead of like a giant marketing piece around it well it's it's that old that old um Bill Hicks a bit where he's he's talking about like advertising and marketing people it's like oh Bill's going for the anti-marketing market dollar yeah well that's real smart that's really smart good job yeah exactly exactly uh and then Destiny's got its big uh I think their big showcase on Tuesday so we'll see what comes out of that uh Alan Wake 2 came out and moved their launch from October 17th to October 27th straight about 10 days I think they're getting out of the way of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. makes sense because that comes out also still a little strange yeah it's it's there like it I I can I can definitely see why they're trying to do that um but not not much is going to happen in a week you know like nothing nothing I don't feel like anything basically what if there's just like a clerical or distribution thing or something like that might be maybe they wanted to go up against Spider-Man but it's also such a different game it is yeah yeah uh I I think Spider-Man sells enough units though that it's it to if you're it's different if you're launching same day right like you could still push out um push a week out and might help sales uh even if it's ever so little uh their their tweets at October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope the state shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games well there you go they're actually getting that reason oh yeah yeah they straight what else is coming out in October uh I'm gonna load up JP and take a look there's a lot I I forgot Alan Wake 2 is still coming out this year like that is is news to me uh there's Assassin's Creed on the fifth oh Lords of the Fallen hell yeah Lords have fallen on the 13th um big in our world but Forza Motorsport on the 10th uh detective Pikachu on the sixth um Spider-Man 2 which we just talked about on the 20th there's the new Super Mario Brothers also on the 20th City skylines on the 24th like you just said uh uh I guess Total War comes out in October if they don't have a date just yet it's pretty busy I mean it's it's as closest to like November the big release uh month is you can get and to be honest November is actually not that stacked right now it's like Call of Duty there's a Star Ocean game on November 2nd Super Mario RPG it seems like Call of Duty is just kind of taken over November and everyone's getting the [ __ ] away uh like a dragon guide in is coming out uh the main thing yeah um kind of slowing down at least in November we'll see if that holds true um because Gamescom is this week and we might get into more release dates that's happening on Tuesday uh opening nights at 9 p.m Yeah Tuesday 2 p.m Eastern right yep yeah uh Jeff Keeley is of course involved in Opening Night Live uh he tweeted out some of the games there's cyberpunk it on a list and it looks great yeah do you have that list handy or I'll open it if not uh let me find it real quick I can pop it up real quick we've got uh I think I beat you there here it is yep beat me read it we've got Alan Wake 2 Assassin's Creed Mirage black myth Wukong uh Call of Duty MW3 Crimson desert cyberpunk Phantom Liberty Lords of the Fallen Sonic Superstar zenless Zone zero and more cool so a lot of stuff we know about got a lot yeah I think he was in he did he did specifically say yep there's not a lot of new stuff but it's a lot of new stuff for already announced things so we're gonna be getting some the big thing for me obviously is cyberpunk I'm I can't wait to see whatever more stuff they have for that Lords of the Fallen as well um that one's looking pretty cool so I gotta say by the way for those that haven't done this yet uh we played the original Lords of the Fallen I went back and played through that recently yeah and um I mean still feels good still holds up still has you know some of the random issues that never really made it a hit in the first place but I gotta say we did the Lords of the Fallen first game and then watch the trailer for the new one and damn like they are different they are taking the they are taking the term of reboot to the cleaners like it is like like I I was having trouble picking like even one of the same Lords of the Fallen is a remake of the original it is not at all it is a fundamental Foundation of reboot of the franchise so it'll be interesting Yep looks cool though graphically it looks really it wasn't like story they have a 3v3 PVP mode is is what they focused on and then and it looks a very well-known Souls like streamer or a boros uh was apparently there and he had some very good things that he was tweeting about it so that's awesome cool yeah that comes up next 3v3 Mech Warfare is I'm kind of all about that I hadn't even considered Armory core PVP but after kind of reading some of those tweets it's like this this could be absolutely awesome yeah okay yeah that's and that's uh games got to slow the [ __ ] down man yeah actually this is one of the first times in a long while that like good damn good games I want to play are just kind of like whisking by me as I'm doing other things or getting hyped for other things and it's it's I'm I don't like it I don't like it I want I want this spread out more I was even having fun with my new RF build and Path of Exile and I was like man I kind of want to keep playing this but I'm still playing yeah it's yeah it's probably around for the first time it's good man it's good RF is super comfy man he's just so comfy it's so much fun just hang out and walk around oh it was great yeah uh there was also confirmation on the subject of armored Core that it is using the Eldon ring engine in armored Core um so that means it'll I guess run well slash run on Steam deck um so a lot of people are excited to uh to hear all of that um also the dark and darker uh suit got thrown out in the U.S oh so what which what was the premise of that suit was that just like I want to say that was the Nexon one I need to get a lot more details because I've only seen what's been spoon fed to me from chat but what I understand the uh it's it's it's still in other places but the one here has been thrown out yeah okay it got moved to Korean Court gotcha oh oh hold on hold on hold on time out it didn't get thrown out it got moo oh so apparently it has been it's it's got it was over jurisdiction not Merit as it was removed here okay man I tell you nothing about the darker darker nothing everything is like hey I heard this thing happened oh wait no actually it's this this and this has to be considered and also this and this that's what it's been like for every bit of news for the past like year with dark and darker nothing has been straightforward yeah oh my Lord been a little wild have you uh have you played that at all since it it like came back out I don't even that's one of the games man I'd love to play more of it I just yeah like I haven't I haven't had even had a chance to play Bard it sounds incredibly fun um but no like an interesting thing about dark and darker that I'm not 100 sure on is I don't know like now this is the first time they've been in like release like the game the game it's no longer like a little preview beta kind of thing where the you know everyone would play and the numbers would go Sky High like now it's it's out in Early Access so I don't know how open and how public they are with like their resets and how that's going to work and if they're going to do Seasons or like what are they gonna do but I can tell you right now that I the idea of jumping into dark and darker with a bunch of people that have played for weeks is not something that sounds very fun to me at all so when I do inevitably play dark and darker I'm I'm for me to go back to that game I'm I'm hoping they will talk about like you know having servers that you can join that are new or resets or Seasons or something because I am not really looking in I don't want to play the game against people that have been playing for months that are fully geared and that kind of stuff right it's just not fun yeah there's an inherent just power Gap right there that you believe in and you don't have a bad time because that yeah it's like playing tarkov uh Midway through the white and just getting head shot from across the map because someone's got a crazy gun and a crazy with a thermal on it yeah or they got hacks which is also more likely uh does dark and darker have any hacking issues I don't know I I have not uh partaken uh certainly it's not as vocal as tarkov that's for sure so right there are yeah yeah yeah yeah um oh there are some is it like wall hacks I guess because you can't I guess if you're playing like a ranger you could use like headshots or something but um yes it does they post it on their Discord it does in devs have acknowledged okay there were some range hackers or something looting gold piles that I know of oh so they can just loot from anywhere type deal oh that that would suck yeah that would that would be a rather unfortunate uh fortunate thing yeah so oh we'll see answer this about chat I I don't think we have anything to add or talk about with the Linus Tech drama it looking forward to the release okay outside of some lag issues but that was because it's P2P for the beta so you know oh yeah okay yeah I'll be checking Total War Warhammer DLC prices are causing a meltdown is that a headline or is that is that a new thing or is that an old thing because that's creative assembly tomfoolery because what out of curiosity I I had not read or heard about that uh yeah Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out it's another game that I'd love to play more of but it's it's yeah it's it's just no time right now is this week this is on August 18th I'm reading the IGN article um they addressed the DLC price backlash asked players to stop abusing staff kind of okay uh so the total war Warhammer three shadows of change which added three new legendary Lords uh and 11 additional units cost 25 USD or 19 Euros or 40 of the price of the base game itself this is higher than previous DLC packs for the fantasy strategy game uh the champions of chaos Lords pack for example adds four new playable characters blah blah blah for 12 euros Orton race packs for Total War Hammer two Total War of War Hammer two or even cheaper and offer greater value players have pointed out uh the price increase for the shadows of change sparked an anger response that's built over into the Steam Reviews um the game has received mostly negative user review ratings for recent reviews uh uh yeah so it's just they they upped the price of their DLCs yeah they put out a statement um it was just two middle fingers he said uh quote to get it right our costs are up unfortunately that means prices have to rise as well uh we know any increase is going to be in tough which is why our prices have remained fairly stable over the past few years the downside is that any uh increase today is going to be more noticeable there's no good time to increase prices and we have not taken the step lightly however this is the business reality of supporting Warhammer 3 and ensuring we're off uh sorry we're able to offer the years of extra content that are currently planned that said we do need to challenge ourselves to ensure that this cost still offers good value ultimately that's up to each of you to decide and we'll keep trying to balance that of course we want more people to uh to play we want to continue to deliver content you're excited to see we want to do that for as long as we can a follow-up State also in your Ferraris that's true uh senior up uh a follow-up statement from senior game director Rich Aldridge reinforced the value saying quote the changing plays like no other in the series scheming and tricking your enemies into conflict with one another whilst leeching off other settlements feels great and we really hope it opens up the new gameplay opportunities little fourth Wally there but okay yeah right [Laughter] Bartholomew also goes on and said uh we knew this is a tough change for some of our players we know that this may mean many of you uh wait for future discounts and sells we know that this explanation does not make the situation any easier but it's important for you to hear from us and we hope that if nothing else that helps clarify by this uh decision has been made finally we need to ask you again to stop directing abuse at individual team members frustrated as you may get these are human beings who spend many hours representing you and your voices within the studio all of our work gets easier when they are treated with respect so it's definitely a hate the game not the player situation you got to reverse that term a little bit yeah it's nev nobody wins ever when people go after they have specific devs especially for that kind of stuff they 99 of the time they have nothing to do with it right even if they do there's only entire this this is just one example of it happening all the time countless games uh yeah I mean hell Bungie had to literally turn off their PR department because so many people were personally going after weeks back I saved months but that was three weeks um hey we could talk about this uh Skull and Bones closed beta August 24th it's happening this week no wait to see this game yeah I all of its trouble after all of its time after all of its work numerous numerous behind closed door play tests tons of reworks I cannot wait for this game yeah it's happening there are uh I I have uh I know sponsored streams that are happening for it I'm very curious to see what that looks like uh on all fronts me too like I don't know it's I got an email that was like hey are you well the email was so interesting because it was like are you still interested in this game uh I think is what it was what was the uh it says confirm your closed beta participation uh uh if you are selected for the closed beta you'll receive a preload confirmation email the coming days and I guess they're like telling you to check out your PC specs first and then you confirm your participation I don't weird that yep is that supposed to come out this year or did it get delayed and this is the closed beta do we I have no clue I honestly like at this point if if they don't want it to be like a massive PR and financial Fiasco they have to basically just keep testing the waters until you know I I have a feeling that this is this is a big test to answer that exact question because we can't we can't at any point even if they were to say it comes out this year they've said it's going to come out like what three to four different times now yeah so the date means nothing if they're public about it when it actually comes out it's going to be based on when they finally have something like this that clicks um so we'll we'll see yeah yeah I was supposed to release in March man wild wild stuff for sure we'll see what happens with that uh looking forward to it man I'll be there I'll be there to try it okay uh and that's this week so next week next week Zeke is out in terms of just future shows uh we will have a show next week but then I think for Starfield weekend we most likely will be taking the third off uh September the 3rd because everyone will be playing Star field at that point so we'll talk about that's correct that's correct that's right uh let's talk Poe while Zeke's out uh cause he would leave anyways you played I think you did how many two or three hours four hours I played four hours four hours and honestly uh I I played RF which is called a skill called righteous Fire yeah righteous Flame or just fire for the first time and I loved it I just had a great time it was it was was Poe man I've got it's more thousand hours in the game it's Poe I tried the mechanic apparently way too early got my ass completely kicked uh so I was like I'll come back to it then I ever did because I was just having so much fun playing Poe and you know I honestly wish I had more time because I would I would definitely be playing it like my cozy streams and stuff but I'm in a frantic rush to try to wrap up bg3 before armor core six and we'll see yeah I was in the Frantic rush to wrap up bg3 to play Poe uh I put in like 20 hours in the league uh the league mechanic itself is like when you first do it it's really awful and like confusing because it's basically and I guess it's an auto battler but you also control a unit in it and so it's it's kind of hard to describe uh so I didn't like the mechanic at first and then once I went back to it I actually really liked the mechanic I would go as far as to say it's like one of the better if not best mechanics they've introduced and it's very not like what they have in the rest of the game rewards from it are pretty good uh generally I wish you got more XP but I think that'll as you like win the tournaments I think the mobs get higher um in um enemy level and that will reward you more XP um but yeah it's fun it's it's a it's a cool mechanic um and then like you said outside of that it's Poe so yeah I think Panic didn't really change that at all yeah I think honestly one of the the more interesting facets of of that outside of like it's Poe uh everyone when D4 launched everyone was like myself included was like man peewee's gonna have a massive season it's gonna there's gonna be so many people playing it it's gonna be the biggest season they've ever had it was about 60 70 000 uh under the uh Max concurrent player limit that they've had I think a lot of that comes down to the fact that Baldur's Gate 3 exists not only that not only that but the amount of people that I have both personally talked to and seen in chat say that they're basically done with Poe until Poe too that also it's it's anticipiness is what it is it's it's a textbook and tissue-suckiness where people especially after the last Excel con like at this point Texas are you reading you you don't know anticipiness come on now yes I guess I'm sorry you read a lot of vampire books when he was in uh that is a very real word that I made up no antisa suckiness is when you anticipate something so much that everything else sucks that is anticipants and in this case everyone is so hyped for Boulders or for pue2 and especially because of Last Exile con tons of new information everyone's ready to play it then they were like we're not doing this for a year well it's the kind of thing where you open up Path of Exile and you stare at the screen for a little bit and you're like this isn't ue2 I'm gonna go you know like it's just it make it makes you want something else so badly that it makes what's in front of you not nearly as appetizing and I think a lot of people are suffering that with Boe right now yeah yeah I would agree I would agree that and also like Baldur's Gate three right it's it's come out of nowhere they just have massive amounts of people playing three weeks after lunch as somebody just said in chat case in point and tissue sucking his CO's entire stream for the two weeks prior to bg3 releasing that's correct very true what it what is the what's the terminology for because I'm experiencing a little bit of this uh what's the terminology for finishing a thing and having suckiness uh we call that dread sorrow and regret that it's over that's where I'm at right now with bg3 if you finish a good movie or a good show especially like a long multi-season show and you're done with it and you're like but I'm not done hanging out with all those people that I just got to know and I like like it feels like you're leaving friends behind you're like moving on from this like amazing adventure yeah it's also called post game depression um yeah post media depression if you want to expend it out but I've got a little bit of that Poe is has helped uh mend the wound but man I'm not looking forward to that man I finished it on uh Baldur's Gate through we could talk about it I finished it Wednesday and I knew going into the week on like Monday and I tweeted as such like I know the end is coming I I know that I'm going to be done with this game on Wednesday and I'm like quite sad about it I'm very actually like emotionally attached to waking up and playing this game uh for the past 16 days on stream and playing for like 10 plus hours a day and I know at one point this week that's gonna happen and I'm gonna start the stream and I'm not gonna have that uh and that happened on uh on Thursday and it was like hey guys I'm I'm here we Let's do let's watch some trailers I guess we could do some trailers and uh then I'm gonna go and uh I'm gonna go I'm gonna go cry in the shower and read some stuff while I'm gonna watch something familiar shows that I know what happened so I can like half pay attention I'm gonna go stand in front of a window for a couple hours just stare outside with my hands class behind my back yeah yeah and I think the the most common response and I'm I'm seeing it multiple times in chat now is like just start a new playthrough after I finish like a 130 hour playthrough I'm not the type of person that's like I'm gonna jump into a new one because I've already like my story is over the the adventure that I went on is done I'm not gonna like start a new adventure right away I gotta give it some time before I can jump back in I'm the same way and I even tried I was like I'm gonna go make a paladin and do dark urge and I got like five minutes into the opening of the game and I was like man this guy sucks he's not in my [ __ ] character I want my items I need some more stuff I'm gonna where's all my buds where are the buds around here um yeah so it I'm I'm in that post now now I guess it honestly got me very excited for Starfield uh if if I'm 100 honest it made me like excited for Starfield um for like another game that I can hopefully put in you know 50 100 hours and and dive into um but and then once you're done with Starfield if you're into it again you got cyberpunk 2.0 yeah yeah I got another one for sure for sure um I put up a full I I took a page out of Coast but I put up a full thoughts video so everyone can watch that it's got 15 minutes non-spoilers so then I go into the spoilers uh and yeah I'm I'm good it's it's uh it's a fantastic game through and through even with all the bugs that I encountered in act three um that are pretty wild uh in the final fight I had an extra character I was telling the guys about this I'd I had an extra character in my party because of a bug so that's why it was just it was actually like straight up booked um but it didn't bother me um and I was perfectly fine with the ending um perfectly fine with how everything wrapped up I would say like the ending isn't super bomb bastard at least mine wasn't I have seen a bunch of people say like yeah it was super emotional for me so I guess I didn't get that um type deal but it's good uh act one I think is the best Act I think that is because it has been through Early Access though so it's the most refined it's the most well done it's it's got you know so many more hours played into it because there's just been so many more people that have played it and so it's the most refined if act three gets to that point I could totally see act three being the best act um but that being said there's just there's a lot of bugs in it um in terms of like triggers for events that don't happen or do happen uh or happen out of place or you know whatever there's just a lot of random stuff in a game that big with as much stuff happening it's kind of bound to occur until you get the people in there to actually like go in and fix it that and also the performance issues I was starting the game over like every five hours four hours or five hours and that sucked I was uh I've talked about this a lot the last few days um the the only thing that I'm I'm particularly not liking about borders K3 is how I feel like I'm having to do act three on eggshells yeah I'm doing I'm having to like reference chat a lot more than I feel comfortable like hey is it okay to do this now is it okay to do this like what order do I need to do this in and stuff and and it's it's really taken away a lot of that like this magic of going to where I want exploring where I want and knowing that if I you know find a cave in the back of this house and I go into it and it leads to a underground prison that I can explore that and not have to worry about it but like it's it's yeah I'm with dos2 the ending was an absolute mess on release after a while larion cleaned it up and now do S2 is pretty Rock Solid when Alders Gate 3 gets to that point like act three is gonna be magical yeah it is one of the most concentrated it's content areas [ __ ] you're right that I have ever seen in a game and when all of that is working how it's supposed to it's going to be incredible but right now it's like a ball of yarn where they've like randomly made Cuts like around it and you just you never know if the ends are going to connect properly or if they're going to work um I recently got done with a relatively major area of act three and uh and and the first thing I looked over in chat somebody goes man I couldn't even do this area the whole thing was [ __ ] and it's just like to think it's and it was one it was an amazingly cool area and it's like if somebody had eggshells because of bugs that's what yeah I'm walking on eggshells because I don't want to hit those bugs thankfully okay okay I've been taking I've been taking a lot of advice from chat I've been I've been you know hey if I get to an area that looks suspect I'm like hey should I keep going here should I stop and you know nine times out of ten Chad's like go back like turn around um but because I've been doing that I've run into not a huge amount of issues so thankfully like like if if you do things kind of in the right order in the right way if you do quests in the right way um it seems to go okay the issue is when you start breaking things or doing them out of order so if there's a dungeon that has like an entrance at the top and then you fight through the dungeon to the the boss at the bottom well there might be an alternate way to just go into the boss's room from some way someplace else and you know cats like yeah if you do that then not only are you going to miss a bunch of stuff but like this character won't do this properly and the quest doesn't resolve properly and stuff like that so um there's also apparently one Quest that's just like broken like it doesn't work properly the Traders aren't coming for it which one is that calling um Fireworks um okay some people are figuring out like there's a way to complete it but there's supposedly supposed to be a lot more that's not triggering properly um and so that you know there's there's just there's stuff like that but they do have a huge hotfix or a huge patch coming up yeah uh that I think they say say has a thousand bug fixes so if you're taking your time that's probably to your benefit and then um you know they're only going to keep working on it it's like they did dos two so yeah yeah they'll they will eventually get it all fixed that's larion's not going to leave it in in disarray um absolutely and that being said like the bugs that I had I I was able to finish any Quest that I wanted to I didn't have any basically all quests generally have a resolution even if it's just in the fireworks case kill everyone um yeah like that's but the thing is is that like for me particularly you know I like my playthrough is is I want to explore and do everything that can be done with that yeah that's when you start running into problems when you start like wanting to make wanting to make sure everyone survives and has the proper dialogue when they do and they're actually acknowledged as surviving yeah things like that it becomes a little bit more tumultuous I I would say apart from the character leaving uh me that left in act two I was able to experience everything in act three from what chat was telling me um apart from that Quest I guess because I I know exactly where that area is and what that Quest entails and not having that party member I went there and they were just kind of like that's an object don't know what it does he was like okay great I'm gonna walk away now so I know what you're talking about I would definitely recommend checking that out on YouTube sometime it's actually uh uh yeah incredible scene I didn't see the scene I saw what the the thing does yeah go ahead if you guys can give me a non-spoilery way of of of informing me telling me why people asked like who have you boned so far and it's like I'm not even close and I'm talking to them all the [ __ ] time like am I just not long resting enough like do I need to just do that a ton more or something like that because like I am barely close with anybody are you talking and I am charming and I'm talking to him like huh what the [ __ ] if you my career is 18 by the way um progressing the main story and doing multiple long rests is a is a very good thing to do in this game you do not want to play the route of like frequently not wrong like if all your spell slots are gone and you're sitting there doing your best not to long rest it's the opposite of how they want you to play this game uh just make sure that you weren't like in doing any you know make sure no major characters have told you that you're on any kind of time delay um and and you're you know yeah definitely long mess as much as you want especially in act three lots of long wrestling activity there's actually things are caught up there's a speed run category that you can watch see called The Sex Speed Run I think it's sub three minutes right now so you're clearly messing up so you can get laid in three minutes in the game yeah Jesus Christ what the [ __ ] dude I'm I'm waiting for it I'm I'm I'm like that's one of the things I was really excited about was like seeing all like the the people you could have sex with look my favorite thing in any game RPG you can do that it happens to a lot of guys okay around okay it's a problem Zeke you need to go for quality but my character is a female you gotta go for quality over quantity that being said uh my record is a five way and I'd love for you to explore ways to beat that I yeah I heard about that yeah I heard about the five way yeah do it buddy yeah I I saw most of the sex scenes but I it was always the Multiverse moment the quick save moment where I would reload back and be like nope uh it's uh I've got I've got one partner in mind and I saw that through till the very end of the game and uh I was very happy with uh how that that all paid off so am I I'm wondering if the main quest has more trigger because I've been doing like I've been I avoid main quests all the time like yeah maybe I don't know I'm not sure I I don't know like what the actual triggers are um there's definitely like in the opening of the game I'm pretty sure like a Starion and Gill are both like very quick to be like yeah let's want to hang out like those two are very uh forthcoming really yeah yeah Shadow heart was was she was all about my business hot and heavy and then nothing and then cold shouldered my ass well like seriously I talked to her every night at camp and I'm like hey about our relationship what do you think and I get the same [ __ ] responses I'm just like let me get in that booty you're not God damn this game is supposed to be the horniest game and I'm not getting nothing nothing it's terrible I think some strongly worded tweets to atlerian studios are in order yeah I think I need to go probably do more main quests and long rest more and [ __ ] like that can you just long rest like a a bunch in a row like as long enough no not sometimes it doesn't work sometimes you'll do some stuff between them yeah from what I understand there can be there can be situations when you want to like do a little bit in game so you don't just long rest a bunch of times in a row yeah I don't know if I was not long resting uh frequently enough to to hear that but I did have quests that were like long rest uh sensitive that I learned after the fact but that that was honestly one of the reasons I I think I enjoyed the game so much is that for 80 of my playthrough I was always ahead of the chat and so like it affected the business side of my stream but my genuine interest in like oh I wonder what's gonna happen I wonder how this is gonna play out I like I wonder I wonder it was always real because it wasn't like actually you didn't do X Y or Z in the chat it was just like I don't know you got to figure it out you gotta see what happens uh and that's very rare for me to be like ahead of the the player base in that regard um that stopped at the end of act three where it was just very rampant of like ah you didn't do bibbity blabbity hoppity hippity you got to go you gotta do that first man yeah there's a problem um but yeah now just just I this is something I actually want to know so like just you can give me a straight answer on this like if I am involved Now cover your ears if you don't want to know this but we'll still have a question just about it's just about sex it's about sex um oh God and the question is you might not want to hear the answer if I am like romantically attached or have flirted heavily with one member of my Camp does that like X Out All the Other members of my Camp it totally depends on the person on the character or the record or the record I have I I was um I'll just go ahead and say this because it's it's not it's not really a spoiler it's important information that you need to know okay I and my playthrough have been Team Shadow heart Shadow heart is my girl okay in the game I was given an option to explain explorinate with some other fiery friends that we have right um I pursued that path yeah Shadow heart just straight up went we're done have fun with her did you get to Bone Shadow heart first though here honestly hearing your voice within that world took me out of the game but it's because I do a show with you every Sunday I'm friends with you so like the second thing I heard I was just like ah like the veil kind of like the the world the immersive it's like it's like I was being taken out of the Matrix for a split second I'm like wait what what is code doing here um and so I had like one conversation with you about uh uh being a fighter and I and then check kind of told me what the storyline is a little bit um and I think I like spoke with the NPC in the room next to you and then I disintegrated you so yeah that's about right yeah yeah he goes through like every class it's there's a lot so okay yeah yeah it was I was I was pretty uh I I didn't even know you had you actually had to tell me because I I not on purpose never entered that building and so I was pretty much I was done with the act three and you're like yeah you got to go inside this building and I'm inside and I walked in and I was what the who the [ __ ] are these people you're standing right there as well so yeah it uh he's he's easy to miss if you don't go in every single building and interact with every single person um yeah so I did not interact with uh with Coast characters too much to answer your question anybody who like there's a couple people who asked uh I am still in Act One um I am also like so just so you don't like feel weird or out of place or like am I doing something wrong I'm 70 plus hours in and I have not I I would probably say I'm just general feeling I would say I'm about like 70 75 percent done with that one so yeah are you Looting every single thing every single thing every single thing Mommy I can get my goddamn hands on I I ran into the and I guess code this could be a question for you I ran into the issue at the end of the the game eighty percent of the way through the game where it's like gold doesn't matter I like I was sitting at like 30 000 gold and I was just like I've been buying a lot it's nice to go to a merchant and just like like there's like one or two things you want you're just like I'll I'll have those now yeah yeah you know because like three hours of looting will get you one decent magic item here's here's the the Eternal problem about about this is not just this game this is crpgs in general yeah and that is you don't you want to give the player as much freedom and as much loot as possible but at the same time you have to balance the best play experience around not looting every single effing thing that isn't nailed down so so like what what I really like is when crpgs a lot of times like have a lot of interesting maybe fun items or like you know like that like having a lot of money on you you come up to a point where it's like hey I need 5K go for this thing you know it's great to be able to be like yeah here you go sure let's do it you know and stuff like that um but in the same vein it it's it's very very tough when your games are are giant like crpgs generally are they have as much stuff to loot and do making that meaningful while also making it meaningful to not play that yeah so true it's almost inevitable for a looters play style if you will to end up with significantly more gold than you will need by the end of the game the argument there is is that if you were able to spend all of it then the people that don't play that way would be screwed out of a lot of potentially really good things so you know it's it's a it's a it's a tough nut to crack for a Game Dev to do that properly yeah I get that and also for those of you saying like just steal it like you could totally do it well duh yeah I never did steal it dude like maybe I'm not playing that kind of [ __ ] character okay I don't I don't do any pickpocketing in the game yeah the thing like if I'm a save scammer as as everybody knows that's what I do um saves coming plus pickpocketing that's a line for me personally yeah that's a line because that's I mean even even just looting like I said you're gonna have so many more resources than you do anyway you throw you throw safe scum pickpocketing into that as well that's how you break a game easily the whole point of pickpocketing is that it's a risk versus reward so if you if you break that then it's it's you know I'll I'll steal as much as I want from the Overworld don't get me wrong but I'm not gonna reap you into people's pockets that's that's I mean considering you can steal all the gold off vendors and stuff yeah it gets a little ridiculous it can be pretty fun it is fun to steal from uh people that potentially might fight you and then they go to draw their weapon they don't have a weapon that's fine that kind of sucks eye the record by the way let me like there's there's people in chat I've started people in chat like I disagree with what coset dude it's this is a very gray area everyone has their own lines that's my personal line I'm not saying that needs to be your line if you save some pickpocket more power to you yeah like I love thinking there's people that save scum harder than I do trust me that's fantastic people you know how many how many saves are you up to what's your quick save over two thousand ah I ended the game with 3 500. and I wasn't quick saving I just loved doing walking five feet and hitting F5 like I'm out I'm the perpetual f-fiver and so anytime that like I do anything go anywhere touch anything loot anything F5 I'll I'll start the [ __ ] game and hit F5 they do make it easy for you yeah yeah yeah it's I mean when a game makes it so fluid and yeah quick like it's it's yeah yeah and season it is kind of funny with that um now how are your how are your reload times like I would just let things go because it would be it's a little rough twenty next one they're not it's not great load times yeah act three is a different Beast I feel yeah okay um it was definitely a lot faster next one for sure but maybe maybe that's just me maybe I'm uh in the sense of maybe I'm just uh making that up but it felt longer in act three it might not actually be longer um act one quick save 546. okay yeah I love that they counted them I think that's awesome I like that too yeah you can also go and look at your your save file um size I think uh Dan was telling me or told us Chad and this chat relayed to me that he had like eight gigs of save files which is kind of crazy because I you can limit your quick save number and I think mine's at 50. uh but like normal saves are just normal saves if you just name them and so mine was like I think three gigs but it's because I mostly utilize quick save whereas he was I think just making hard saves so wow it can get kind of large in that category um Co how many uh are you how are you liking the itemization in the game because I feel like act three goes crazy with it and I absolutely I just loved it I was it was like I was playing Poe it's it's pretty good I mean I I really like how many items there are there's a few um there are I feel like the game kind of tries it sometimes to Railroad the player into a few different specific things and there's some items that I really want more of and haven't seen like any real itemization at all like hand crossbows I have two characters that use hand crossbows ah and I've seen like one I've never seen a rare one or a gold one I've gotten one purple one I just got my first blue one um you know I'd love to see like some items I feel could use a lot more itemization uh added to the game yeah but I mean I I love it there does what do you mean by itemization the amount of items the amount of items in loot um generally like like a variety of weapons variety of armor like that kind of stuff Oh you mean like okay okay yeah like for me for monk there's like a billion [ __ ] items for other cards yeah yeah for monks there's a huge amount of stuff I actually turned my Jahira into a monk yeah they tried to a thief monk monk is rough and 5e and sort of try to balance it out by uh introducing a [ __ ] ton of items for it and now they're just now they're now they're broken yeah no at level 12 everything is broken in this game like a truly is true you can every class is just a walking God and there's a reason they stopped at level 12 and it's because you're walking around and just like [ __ ] flinging just that is honestly like one like very very minor gripe about the game is that I very rarely find new items for people like it's so like that yeah okay is that okay as you get towards the end of act one cool and then into act two and act three particularly you'll start getting a bunch of interesting and unique items yeah cool but like I look at everything and I'm like [ __ ] this is plus one we can get out of here yeah it's like this one like and it's like some of the special like abilities on them it's like this one will make a puddle of water if you so if you shoot somebody like you're like okay I could see how that could work for a specific build dude that that puddle of water stuff's one of them things in the game yeah because here's the thing if things are right it's making that up oh okay no no there's things that have no there's a funny story funny story there are things that that cast water and things of that nature and uh and enemies different types of damage when they're wet so like they take like in some cases twice damage if you make them wet and things like that so they're really strong um synergies like grease and fire water electricity ice blah blah blah yeah yeah but that being said there are some incredibly incredibly incredibly awesome items like I have my Bard using this one-handing handed Rapier that basically like yep completely changes the game I I love that um the monk fists that I got that you probably know what I'm talking about are just incredible there's there's there's I really like in bd3 how they're many times when you get an item and you're just like oh this is gonna make my character yeah like this one thing is gonna like completely change how this character functions um and and I like how many of those I've been finding yeah I I uh nine I think I was 90 away through probably 120 hours it was on the final it's actually on the final stream day I started the stream it's like guys we're gonna respect a character we're respecting this character because we got some items and I think it could be the most broken build in the game it was the most broken build in the game uh I was doing 350 damage a turn like it it was I I would see a boss they would have like a a couple hundred HP and they would walk up and just die in the first round it it like kind of trivialized the entire God at the end of the game because the combat would start to like well I'm you're gonna die oh [ __ ] well you of course have to tell us what what at least the level spread of this uh it was it was just a level 12 uh fighter Champion oh and I dropped the she was a it was karlak I respected a champion and put all dumped all of the gear that decreases your crit by one and so she was creating on I think 15 and she had 22 strength uh and was hitting with a weapon with great weapon uh uh great weapon fighting Mastery which I think might be the most broken spec in the game because it's a minus five hit for 10 extra damage it's pretty strong in normal d d but like in this game where you can get so much to hit bonus the minus five penalty is like nothing and so hidden for like 60 a pop every single turn while hasted with level 12 fighter you get so many Feats you get six attacks a turn uh it was nine potentially if you're action surging it was just like that is pretty silly bro it's funny to hear you talk about that because I'm like man that goes against like the now this is my brain that's this is what I would say out loud but my knee jerk is definitely like oh that goes against like the spirit of the game and then I have to realize like I do different we play different tactics but no no but I I do just as much cheese it's just a different flavor of cheese yeah like I I take the the 300 uh uh um I don't know motto maximum whatever you get the advice it's not uh uh who who's fighting it's where you fight and I have cheesed so many rooms full of [ __ ] enemies just based on like well they can't [ __ ] hit me like the door thing like yeah or like I'm up here people that sucks to be you yeah and I love that the game has that right like it it's got so many facets of how you can handle a fight you can just kind of like blunt force beat the [ __ ] out of someone or you could do what you did with the door you can use magic spells to like mess with the environment you can put water at the feet of everyone and drop some lightning spells on them and it'll just like do Insane amount like there's a level uh uh six spell uh in the game I don't think are spells considered spoilers if it's in fifth edition no if it's in that player's handbook you get chain lightning eventually and chain lightning does crazy damage if they're wet like a hundred per person and there's ways to increase that uh through ungodly items that you get on your your Caster uh and it's just like yeah everything everything's broken at the end of the day everything is broken the power fantasy is real you can just no it's definitely it definitely feels like sometimes in the game like like uh larion is like did you did you just find another uh lightning item weird where did you did you find another one yeah do they have Synergy oh that's so weird that's crazy there is a lot of that yeah yeah they want you to you you should you should put both of them on right come on no My Wizard likes fire I don't want to do that it's like I had a whole ice set at one point and started getting so angry when I started finding like all this other stuff and because it made it so much better yeah yeah oh man what here's a negative because we have am I gonna rename my squad the wet Bandits nice here's the uh here's a negative that I have about the game uh Druids suck I don't like Druids unless you're like using the wild shape too it's like uh maximum potentials are pretty good don't let Elohim hear you say that because Elohim is like truths are the best they're so uni like so like do everything my druid the only thing my druid did for the entirety of the time she was in my party was just cast haste I couldn't find like a valuable spell to all of the Spells were like weird aoes that I like didn't want to damage my party win like the most the like gamer in me was like oh you could do or you could just haste carlec I think I'm gonna go with haste I think I guess that's how I expect them but yeah my druid has been phenomenal since I respect her full Monk wait did you make a [ __ ] Kung Fu Panda is that what you made it yeah I I drew it just feels real uh real rough in that I haven't played Bard yet I think Paladin might be the most broken character in the game class wise uh art is so much fun part Bart seems very good yeah Paladin I think is most broken dude I was I I was really like uh you know you know the the character creator like even though you know you can respect it's still like oh man kind of like I have you know it's like am I gonna am I gonna regret this am I gonna regret picking blank class and I'll tell you this Bard has been such a treat and a joy because it's exactly what I wanted out of the game in that I have so many more dialogue options then because I've been watching my my wife play this and she's playing a completely different character and stuff and I'm like I watched similar interactions I'm like I had three more like dialogue choices just from being a Bard from being from Boulders like a buldurian Baldur's Gate like native you know blah blah blah and I love The Bard answers because the Bard answers are just [ __ ] hilarious at times like sometimes you'll sing him a song out of nowhere or you'll make like a snide joke or you'll say like you know something lewd or something like that [ __ ] it's [ __ ] great man I'm I am not regretting my bar Choice yeah all the performance options are so good as well like whatever when at any time I had the option to do a performance check it always says barred and front of it you're just like yes do you get an advantage for that or is it just a barge oh completely yeah you do you like you get you basically it's like impossible to fail the the performance stuff it's cool and uh there's great ones like any anytime you have to fake something like you know like it'll be like a barred performance like fake in a high-pitched Scream the pain you don't feel like performance check fantastic it's fantastic yeah I I monk had a lot of great options Barbarian apparently has some really funny ones uh if you happen it's awesome yeah yeah it's awesome every single class every class has great options every class like and that's one of the the Testaments to how amazing this game is every class the text and the dialogue makes you feel like you made the right choice because there's so many instances where they play in to like major things that happen so it's it's awesome doesn't it give you that little that little like inkling of Joy when like you're waiting for your dialogue options to pop up and then you see the brackets and you're just like yeah 100 100 that's me that's for me that's mine that's my place I made this choice that it's good like I'll get this exactly exactly you feel compelled to select those every time you see them like even if it's not the option you want to take you're like yeah but that one's I mean that's what I would say like you got I gotta hit that one I I I I like read the first one then I see the bracket I'm like I'm not gonna read the other ones I'm just gonna go with that one yeah yeah it happened to me many many times yeah how many of the decisions Zeke this might not be much for you or it might be a lot uh how many of the dialogue decisions have just like stopped the flow it made you just go back and like I don't know a lean back I've had I guess three but maybe do we do that's quick save and let's try four I do tons it's just it's uh anytime anytime I feel my head or my hand going up to my forehead like in a pain like what do I do like before I get there I go F5 yeah and that's a great call the reason why he's taking me so long like like just like people I saw a lot of people like 70 hours LOL Act One law like but you don't understand like this is me going all right deception letting the entire thing play out reload persuasion letting the entire thing so you're choosing Which Way bard you know spoken like a true safe scummer Zeke I'm so proud of you yeah yeah there's there's coming for combat there's also sounds coming for dialogue yeah hello dude a synonym for safe scumming is exploring your options yeah like seeing seeing seeing your whole deck of cards and then choosing which one it's your character which one fits the best which one you like the most it's it's still like no matter what you do no matter how many times you save scum no matter what you're still like there's options I'm not seeing Oh and I know there is I'd have to play the game completely differently if I wanted to see all the options for this one character yeah I was gonna say I have a standing desk and I try to stand a few hours a day and there have been numerous decisions that have made me like walk away from my desk where I just had to be like okay no no like hold on nope like dude I had to like there was a point today um where like I I didn't like any of the options they were all bad options even the narrator before the choice was like you're going to have to make a tough decision here they know damn it Amelia yeah ah having finished it I don't I do not understand like they must have literally made a deal with a devil to have the writing from start to finish be at the level that it was like I I don't know how they did that uh from the dialogue to just everything like it's it's phenomenal I I cannot think of any other thing to uh to compare it to in terms of that length um I I guess there's probably books out there that people could compare it to but it was uh Adam Smith was the lead writer he led he led the team and say of writing crazy yeah that is that is a name that uh I know that many people will be following movies like I I've never had a game where I didn't have something happen and think like oh that was kind of cheesy or oh I didn't that was kind of silly like the entire time I'm just like [ __ ] man that was like such a beautifully well-ridden awesome p like someone's pouring their heart out to me in a cut scene I'm just like this is remarkable like what the [ __ ] is coming this is remarkable I just it's it's incredible I can't like be hyperbolic enough about how good the writing is from just start to finish there wasn't a low point at all it was always uh incredible it's like that it's fantastic and it's and it's DND like it's not it doesn't stray it doesn't Stray From The Heart of what d d is so there's some goofy [ __ ] some you know magic plays a part so it's like there's gonna be some weird [ __ ] that happens and it's great but I had I had a question for you guys how many times like did you did you ever and if so how many times did you choke up during Baldur's Gate um a couple times for me so far yeah I would say uh uh trying to see if it's double digits that I would it probably double digits for me like low double digits in the teens it's like I'm still in act one so I'm not blah blah but like I would say three maybe four times already and [ __ ] it it's always animals man oh yeah yeah God damn oh thanks for that like and they're happy and you're just like of course everything is crazy and just like I'm sitting there are I didn't get to experience that one character side quest and I know what happens and so I feel like that would be a very because you might have experienced the character that I'm talking about uh it seems like that is a incredible moment that I feel like I missed out on um that was a big one yeah I I watched uh I've been I can actually watch other streams now without fear of getting spoiled I was watching stripping because he's doing a full Co-op play through with three other folks they went to a specific scene and they did something in act one that I did the complete opposite of and I have not seen someone do and the path that a companion takes to where they were and a path that the companion that took in my game to where they were could not have been different in it was it was wild I was just blown the [ __ ] away at what larian did to this character to get to that third point I was shocked I was legitimately shocked um and I think that's also across the board like watching my wife play she'll be like oh yeah yeah I wouldn't did X Y or Z and she's doing uh try to befriend everyone play through because of course she is she's just friends with everyone and so she'll be like yeah I did X Y or Z and and hippity hoppity is just completely different from what I did uh making friends with everyone is a viable playthrough so it's great that's what I that's what I do unless unless you have to yeah there are certain things you have to do you have to kill have to blah blah but like I love having high Charisma character like I've every like encampment of bad guys I've come up and been like hey friends and like yep friends and I'm like okay I'm just walking I'll just walk around where's the bathroom up this way okay I'm gonna walk over here yeah it's been fun and then you turn it into the dark urge playthroughs and it's it's just like a different atmosphere like everything's a little more psychotic and people are a little bit more volatile so it's been cool uh I think that's kind of uh kind of it co-work what do you have you're almost done right like you you are I have can you talk about it without spoilering it so I can understand or just tell me I guess I have at least 10 hours left I would say at the rate that I'm going I would say that I I have one more major I have two more major companion quests two more major story quests that I know of they probably continue after that and then I definitely have some more map cleanup too okay so I'm you know and again I it I've been walking this fine line of of rushing the hell out of the game before ac6 but also not sacrificing a single thing to rushing it so like I'm trying to play it as much as I can and get it done but I refuse to rush this game yeah so you know how many hours is your playthrough I'd have to check my the most accurate representation of that is my YouTube playlist oh I upload the YouTube playlist on an average of 30 minutes and I don't know what what um episode I'm on now okay I think I'm I think I'm at around now I'm around 140 ish okay I want to say yeah I finished in 129. funny enough I the the in-game save file is 119 which means I had 11 hours of saves or I like I don't know I'm curious where that other 11 hours went if that was through like failures uh losses in battle seeing different save uh seeing different dialogue options load times all that stuff adds up yeah like load times add up a lot for sure um but it seen was around it was 129 hours someone in my channel 264 episodes that's 100 and 128 that's not right okay anyway seems about seems about right Zeke will probably finish in the 200s I would think I wouldn't doubt it yeah it took me 200 Persona five right yeah yeah are you uh taking a long time to do anything this is a weird question and it might be absolute heresy our steam decks allowed at uh uh Burning Man they're allowed on the [ __ ] drive that's for sure okay no no you can do whatever yeah like allowed yeah as long as you have some place to you know plug it in which which yeah I'm bringing a generator okay um but not not not strictly for my steam deck also like it would kind of defeat the purpose if I brought my steam deck out there you know burning man's happy to just sit there gaming but then again but then again like you know someone there is going to be doing that someone's gonna happen a land area guys we got it the whole point of the burn is celebrate your own things right like there are land camps yeah there you go that's awesome there are camps that do land like everybody needs to decompress I could like at some point like you need something to relax with because you're you're like if you're experiencing it you're just go go go go go and you need some [ __ ] you know rest yeah and and quiet and you know like time outside of you know the excitement and she like that and people do all kinds of different stuff and I went to the to the [ __ ] video video game board game uh tabletop game Camp last year and they're sitting there like Hey we're playing DVD you want to jump in I'm like [ __ ] yeah let's go and I rolled up a character and we were playing d d played it for like you know three or four hours and then I was like that was awesome guys thanks for having me and then I went out and did more drugs and dancing there you go yeah you could you could have an orgy end game and then go join one in real life absolutely absolutely so I like the way you think JP yeah you ever want to join me I do not want to go to burning man that is a nightmare friend really yeah nah nah too far away from I I'd be I'd be one of those like [ __ ] that like flies in I'd have to to just feel like I'm a part of society I can't be on the desert without power and I'd have to go glamping is what it would come down to no you either you have to join us it seems completely uh opposite of what you go there to do people bring like uh like RVS and stuff do all that oh yeah no I was a part of a camp uh that had 150 people in it um and it's one of the bigger camps and I and we they had power for everybody showers for everybody they made dinner for everybody every night and uh yeah oh wait wait wait last way less roughing it than I did my first two years but then again like it was also very clicky you know it's you get like it's you get that many people in a group and it's like not everybody's gonna know everybody and that kind of [ __ ] like whereas the first Camp I went to was like maybe 15 people and I knew everybody knew every single person in the camp so you know depends on what you want to do but yes they have like billionaires go out there with their highly air-conditioned like RV stack like all the things and like it's like a [ __ ] gated community of like glampers that don't want to like mingle with everybody and that kind of [ __ ] it's like Hey listen that's not how I would suggest doing it but [ __ ] it I am not going to tell you how to enjoy your bird true because they probably arrest you have you kicked out no what are you talking about oh wait okay I didn't we didn't talk about that that turbo price hike within I just got prompted about it uh when I loaded up I actually during the show I got I put my update in yeah yeah it's it's now 11.99 yeah is that a two dollar bump I remember at one point it was 7.99 but it's I think it went through an update before that was it a five dollar bump I don't think it was from that I think it had this is the second time it's gone up if you're not mistaken oh I think it had a price hike during the turbo Dark Ages when they like stopped talking about it for like years I think it had it yeah it went from it went from nine to uh it went from 899 to 11.99 got it okay so three I think it used to be cheaper way back in the day I want to say but maybe not yeah a long time yeah it was a regular set was five and then the I think the turbo was six for a while and then I got bumped up to 8.99 and now it's bumped up to 11.99 geez that's the thing thanks Netflix yeah thanks Every Game Pass also just did uh it's no longer a one month trial it's a 14-day trial for Game Pass um so they they removed the the additional 16 days or whatever from that that trial and they also might have had a price bump as well fire call or they change stuff around I'm not sure everyone's doing it it's all the rage uh we've been playing other games some outside of Baldur's Gate three uh uh for me it's just been Poe which we've already talked about Co you've done a bunch of stuff uh you played Mortal Kombat who should I play I'm doing a sponsored stream after this um I picked one character and went with him the whole time he's by no mean the best character in fact I was getting wrecked by most other people so it it very much is uh um kind of a pick your own person whoever whoever you like I I'm big into Liu Kang I've always we laugh at that I just I don't know who you were playing uh uh Co but I just the first clip was just like yeah all right I just I thought it was you I'm not sure if it was yeah I don't even know um I had a lot of fun with Liu Kang I was not able to discern any like fun chain combos or anything and that kept being done against me so that was cool uh it's currently the open Beta I did do a sponsored stream for it uh the game comes out September something um I I will probably be knee-deep in Starfield at that point I think it's mid-september is it mid-september okay um but right now if you pre-order it there's the open Beta I think it ended I think it ends tomorrow and uh you can do like some Tower fighting against the computer or you can also play versus uh uh other people in peer-to-peer so there is some lag issues of course but it worked most of the time it was it was pretty fun uh the whole game felt the the tower felt great uh the multiplayer felt a little floaty I mean there were some times it was like damn you're unplayable due to lag but game itself looks beautiful it felt good um like every everything especially in the towers felt felt really nice and yeah I mean it's cool I'm definitely gonna be playing it when it comes out cool yeah I've I'll spend like I think it's I think I'm doing two hours with it right after I'm sorry the bait it's not open Beta the beta is for pre-order yeah it's pre-order beta only yeah I was I was gonna ask there's an open Beta means free to most people open Beta generally means free first times I've ever done a fighting game on the PlayStation controller don't really recommend uh but I'm an Xbox I'm an Xbox controller guy so even when I use PC I use Xbox style controllers um so I I was not it was a little weird just felt a little weird um but it ran fine on the on the PlayStation and but I will say I'm very much looking forward to PC and to be able to use a one of my fight sticks yeah I want to play the story as well because the stories oh that's that's what it is like oddly enough the main draw for me same completely I played the story of the last three or four Mortal Kombats they're just hilarious they're so over the top they're basically movies and like it just to the point where it's the the story is just becoming more and more ridiculous so it uh it's good yeah it looks like it's gonna be fun there's a fatality that I was doing nice sorry I was watching that play out I've seen that one but still a little note by the way if you go to the move list hit X again and that'll take you to the list that shows you like all the com the mini Combos and the fatalities uh also the person you're playing with has a fatality as well but not only can you do a fatality on your character but you pick a a cameo character and then they can also do a fatality oh that's a little X list cool okay excited to check that out Zeke what have you been uh what have you been streaming uh this past week where do you where do you want to jump to you know what I would love to talk about fear and hunger oh yeah or just like just a couple of minutes the super adult game that Zeke was that yes it was yeah it's not as bad as all that it's not as as I mean well nah okay it's not as visually bad but uh as it is as bad as that in this storytelling of it let me just put it to you this way um hey can I show footage of it yeah yeah yeah it's fine totally fine um there is some um prison Shenanigans and you do get a condition of rectal bleeding so they don't really go like they don't put it like they don't draw it out for you but it's definitely like in text and it's a condition you can get okay let me start from the beginning okay round round two no this game I just wanted to I just wanted to you know I just wanted to get you ready for like what the [ __ ] this game is fear and hunger is a game that it was made uh uh with RPG Maker basically uh and it is it was for uh I do the fun uh contest Sub sub goal contest at the beginning of the month and the winner who was chosen from that picked this game and I had never heard of it before and you fire it up and after I don't know I want to say like at Max 10 minutes in the game you are attacked and you probably will die and then you have to restart again and then after 50 minutes you were attacking you will die and then you have to restart again and then that just becomes a pattern uh it's a rogue like in that fashion where you restart the game uh from the beginning but you're armed with knowledge not a rogue light where you get a meta currency like that you can take back and like upgrade your [ __ ] no you go back you die and come back to the game with knowledge and that's it that's a roguelike um brutally difficult go ahead all that stuff I'm seeing on the screen right now did you loot all that yes in one playthrough yes and you would have to do all that again if you died yes hmm oh that that's the game that's the game if you want a game it is one of the most brutally difficult games oh there are States yes you you okay we'll get there no I don't know what that means I don't know what that sound you just made is but that was great well we'll get there um so you um it's one of the most really difficult games that I've ever played and I and I don't even want to use the word difficult I stopped using the word difficult and started using a word that I don't normally use which is unfair it is unfair to the player you get the distinct impression that whoever made this game hates you for playing it um it's like they have whoever the the dev of this was had a grudge against people who like video games and said I'm gonna make a game that is a big middle finger to anyone who plays video games um and like if you get like to a certain like if you beat the game or whatever it probably like gives you a handshake and a kick in the balls or something like that's your reward um but as far as saving goes um yes yes there are saves but guess what uh it's a coin flip and I'm not even kidding it's an episode on whether you save or get attacked by a monster so if you go for like 20 minutes progress and you're collecting everything and all this kind of stuff and you see a safe bed you flip a coin 50 of the time it allows you to save no problem the other 50 of the time you get attacked you get captured you get you get maimed you get prison sext oh here it is right here yes nope nope um but like and I'm not I'm not and I'm not even kidding you if you miss your save flip coin flip you can like you'll you'll appear somewhere missing your legs and you will crawl around missing your legs if you want to and eventually some of them you crawl around so much uh with a guy like an enemy comes up and starts bashing your head or whatever but it doesn't kill you he's just it just makes you slower and stuff eventually a dialogue box comes up and goes stop breathing question mark yeah stop breathing question mark and it's like uh yes or keep fighting or whatever it is terrible now that's one thing you can find they are limited and finite Supply but you can find lucky coins which basically give you Advantage you flip two but they are finite you don't get like you know unlimited amounts of those so if you want to save it's a good idea to bring a lucky coin with you so to make sure you have a better chance it does not guarantee you will get a savior if you pick heads and it'll flip up two tails and you're [ __ ] just you yes you can you can yes you can but the very first enemies and there's difficulty settings I [ __ ] you not I was on the easiest one or the lowest one you can go even harder than that um but like the first like first few fights I was on I was like all right first enemy I'm fighting it's like a dog like a Rabid wolf or something and I'm like and I hit it and then it goes hot and hits me back half of my health is gone I'm like this is the first enemy it's taking half of my HP per hit now granted if they can miss so can you obviously but you have to like you have to run away from pretty much everything until you have semi-decent gear and then even then you have to uh this this is a uh jrpg but a limb system meaning you can hit their hand you can hit their leg you can hit their giant armored penis they call it a stinger but it's a penis um yeah it's yeah it's a very very strange game um but you hit the limbs and stuff like that and then it makes it easier for you to hit the head because if you try and hit their head right away you will the Miss percentage is really high so this strategy becomes all right I'm gonna chop off your arm and your wiener and then I'm gonna go for your head and that seems to work okay I guess so I don't know how to ask this without sounding like I'm [ __ ] on the game why do you play this [Laughter] like because it was a it was a request no no I'm just saying like General why would anyone playing this is is there is like story interesting is there is there are there characters interesting was it fun it is it has I can understand like there is some mystery too the game like you're not quite sure why you're there or what you're doing there and like little bits and pieces come to you um but the game itself the game itself like little like little tidbits you pick up the game itself is like you'll find like you know sir Rogers from you know you know Worcestershire or whatever will be like I don't know why I came here this place is [ __ ] awful it's like hell and you're like yeah why did I come here you like agree with the guy like God damn this is not worth it but I will say in its in its qualities category it is so unique and that is huge for like a game made with RPG Maker like I have never played a game like this before uh or you know a good amount like this like obviously it's made an RPG Maker you know we've all played jrpgs blah blah but the the the difficulty the the [ __ ] sheer self-loathing it requires you to play like you have to Hate Yourself kind of to play this um or or you have to enjoy like Mass kiss you have to enjoy being like I don't know the butt of abuse like that has to be something you like to play this game it seems and I kind of get it like talking about it now it kind of becomes a grudge like I kind of want to go back and be like listen you're not gonna get the better Me game and then but but then you remember like the game is supremely unfair the save the save points are not guaranteed so your progress maybe save Amy know watching you cut off your arm and legging game oh yes because of infection because you will die from infection if you don't take care of it and the the only two things I found to take care of infection in the game are a green herb or cutting off your limbs that are infected just like real life yeah and it's honestly like if you're in a fight with a with someone who has like a A broadsword or something and they get their attack off they will cut off your limb in the middle of the battle and it says oh you can't use your spear anymore because your Spear's two-handed and then you're just left there with honestly one fist like now what do I do like a stump yeah and I've never found a way to like regrow your arm I'm I'm I'm I'm hoping there is because you can continue the game like maim the whole time you can crawl through the entire [ __ ] dungeon with your legs missing if you want to and I never found a way to replace them like in six hours yeah six and a half hours of playing the game I never found a way to heal that did you finish a playthrough or no no okay no I barely got past how long does it three dungeons how long does it take what is like an average playthrough do you know did your chat tell you I don't think anyone's ever gotten through the game without just physically hurting themselves no one's beating the game JP no one can tell you yeah no it's very much like Event Horizon like style like how long did you play fear and hunger like I damaged like I played it for quite a while I'll be honest with you I mean yeah like blinded myself so I would never pick it up again it's it's weird because it was I was very turned off by this game but the more you talked about it the more I'm like huh okay come on you know what I want you to give it a shot I want you to it might be I want you to tell me that you power gamed it and you [ __ ] just destroyed it and it was easy I want to hear that because I want I want the dev to hear it you just you just want to send a [ __ ] you letter to the dev that's all this yeah sure sure yeah uh what I love when I said like like no I don't think anyone's ever beat it like [ __ ] fun guys like this guy beat it this guy beat it this person beat it like shut up yeah don't [ __ ] ruin the joke yeah what uh what what does fear and hunger cost what are they asking for it I heard it I heard it cost an arm and a leg ah eight bucks hold on I think there you go eight dollars you do it there we go there it is yeah well Rim shoved see it little Rim shot dad gets a rim shot but but closed payday does it gets crickets and tumblew there's crickets nice yeah uh so what what does the game cost after all that whole bucks eight bucks oh not too bad eight dollars okay all right uh well hey look my community does like me to play games that uh are like this so maybe you'll get it voted for for a community day uh this week because I think submissions are still open so fear and hunger you can submit it I will say this if nothing else it's it's definitely good for a laugh yeah or a cry I was not I did not I was not prepared like because it's kind of hard to prepare without a long explanation like I just gave you all I got were like like single words or sentence like descriptions like it's brutally hard or it has a lot of penises or there's butt sex like that's what I got and I'm like I don't know how to make a game in my head about that you know like I don't know how to put all those elements together I mean I could but it's probably not even close to what you guys like what things like drones a little bit yeah yeah a little bit uh what's Gord gourd is a very well voice acted uh kind of of hovel management game um you have multiple people that you're kind of running around in there's some very light combat elements some light city building elements uh it takes place in this kind of like almost medieval fantasy area with like demons and a corrupt king that's kind of taking over this area and the local population has these little things called gourds which are basically like small villages you have to build and move from and as you kind of do the main story um I played it for a couple hours and had a really good time with it I mean a lot of the mechanics are very loose in terms of how you order people around how you build things but I wasn't having too much of a problem with it apparently as you progress further in front of the game people are saying it gets a little frustrating that you don't have direct control and sometimes the ai's a little bit weird but I had a good time with it I'm planning on returning to it um I have a voice character in it um that you have to get through drops so I'm going to go back nothing else to give people an opportunity to get that um but really my character doesn't actually say anything he just screams in the plethora of different ways you can kill him and get it and get him murdered nice so you know that's fun um but yeah it's I had I had a good time with it and it's definitely worth checking out for for fans of games that are or for fans of games that have like a lot of kind of community building in it um like you know with small small groups of people that uh have you know their own skill sets and and perks and things like that there's also a seemingly pretty solid main story to move through so it's been the part that kept me playing it and this this is one person coming back to it because I this launched earlier it's another team 17 game yeah I believe it's one point let me verify I think it's okay uh I know I think stripping's in this as well uh there's strippers in it there's there's a lot of a lot of content Crews okay yeah I saw he was doing a spontaneous report and was featured and I think it's out it is out it's 1.0 cool okay [Music] seems like there's a lot of gameplay there like it's it's very gameplay focused but he said there is a main story so oh yeah there's there's absolutely a main story as you kind of meet new characters and move through the the world and that kind of stuff all right cool it's a little it's a little uh dark I will say like not to spoil it but in the very first the tutorial area uh as you move through it you get to like this giant demon Beast thing and you're basically given the choice of like trying to fight it which is absolutely impossible or um feeding it a child so you know there's there's stuff like that in it just to keep in mind and apparently it only gets more and more darker so yeah we're more dark I'm gonna watch out for okay that's the thing that could happen uh and then real quick and another sponsored streamy did I'm I've been this is I don't know if it's just because I'm inundated with sponsored streams for it on Twitch but I think this game talked about a lot I haven't ever played it it's naraka blade Point like how did you feel about it it's a free to play BR the the reason that I ended up doing a sponsor stream for it is because a friend of the channel Maximilian dude has a skin and stuff in it and I I played this game a long time ago like around the time that I think it came out I thought it was okay it was it was it didn't it was a little clunky and I didn't really know what I was doing but when they approached me again they were like hey you know we got this thing going on with near yeah you know and you know Max is in it too do you want to check it out and I was like sure I'll see how far it's come in the X amount of years that I've played it since and uh it it felt it felt better in some ways and it felt the same in some ways I still feel like it's it's kind of like a melee Focus BR there's a lot of different melee weapons you can get there are some ranged weapons but the real focus is melee there's also it's character in class Centric so you get like a character with abilities and things like that you kind of um level them up during the fight getting a lot of passive perks different weapon types things of that nature it is fun and I did have a good time with it but at a heart it is kind of just another BR that has like this kind of loose action melee mechanic into it I definitely by the time I was done with the sponsor stream was like yeah I got a good feel for that and you know I'm gonna go play other games that are a bit more my speed it didn't it didn't really do anything to sell me bring me back I should say because I played BR I played the hell out of yours when they came out but it didn't really do enough to really kind of want to bring me back to it yeah it's also free to play which means that it is heavily monetized in a plethora of different ways um as well so you know some games they do it kind of uh uh a little more behind the scenes not make it quite as overt this game is one of those ones that really kind of just puts it all on your face which generally I'm not yeah yeah and generally not too into that either so yeah I mean I had a good time playing it uh Max's skin looked cool I played near later on if you look uh in the in the vods like I basically was just running around as 2B with a giant sword the entire time which was kind of fun but yeah it's it's a it's free to play so the best advice I can give is if it looks even slightly interesting to you check it out yeah yeah I was going to ask how the because I I've got blasted with the email like you could play as 2B is it 2B 9s who who else I was running around as to be with her giant iconic sword I was floating behind me on my back which was pretty cool like and I would actually look for that weapon and and you know like it worked fine yeah it's actually 2B are these other players or is that is there AI like a tutorial there are um there are Bots and there is a full tutorial it kind of moves you through everything so I think your first few rounds are generally against bots as well okay so but uh by the time I was ending I was definitely playing against other players I think there may have been Bots and other players I'm not entirely sure hmm okay most important question at playing stb was the booty out where's the booty it was it was well I mean it's standard 2B so you know she had her iconic kind of black mini skirt going on yeah okay pretty pretty standard funny stuff I found the 2B footage I think we can you can judge it oh don't bother don't bother you already found it wait is that is this just oh that was just another player there's lots and lots of different skins in the game at this point so I mean there's like each character has multiple different skins they can do and so there's there's a yeah a lot of Cosmetics God the UI is so like I guess busy is the word oh there's a lot of pretty busy AI there's a lot of stuff happening on that UI yeah there's even more between rounds like there's there's a lot to the game yeah there's a lot going on in that game for sure okay that is naraka blade Point Zeke what else he got what have you been playing uh we want a two next let's see what did I play um I'm trying to think of like I played a lot of [ __ ] but I'm trying to think of stuff that you guys would be interested in um oh I did uh Indie day uh obviously I did that yesterday but there is a cool um it's called unsorted horror can you uh is that yeah been made of odd yet okay yeah unsorted horror is something that I wanted to talk about because uh first first of all it is free to play um it is absolutely free you don't have to pay anything it's a a collection of Five Short first-person horror games that revolve around detailed machinery and Dread now the each of the five things take take varying amounts like 10 to 20 minutes tops to play through them but I just wanted to point it out because like it has a lot of promise to be like something I I hope that my the it's a one Dev Mike uh called Nica I'm not sure if I'm saying that right but um created these five little like short stories reminded me a little bit of um like the the uh Different Seasons or whatever the Stephen King book that's like four short stories in one um they they're very good they all have a similar kind of retro feel to them um one is like they kind of give you like a mysterious uh storyline they don't tell you everything or like most of the stuff you kind of just have to like feel like it look around and that kind of stuff but like one you are uh uh maintaining a drill trying to get out of a place one you are taking samples of of unknown biological life for you know a company that you never see um like uh you won you're like you're like uh sabotaging this uh uh place I don't know how to describe it without spoiling it but like you're sabotaging this place and you're not sure why but like they're really cool little little vignettes and uh it's free so like if you want to like check it out it's I fully recommend it if you're into this into that kind of stuff and it's like man it's worth it for the price uh it says I played like uh 1.8 hours of it so like two hours I got through the entire thing but I probably you probably get through in an hour if you don't like talk to chat or [ __ ] around or whatever but yeah it was really cool I thought it was worth mentioning so um like what it's free yeah so how are they monetizing it they don't it's just free it's just for he did I don't believe you yeah but seriously but how are they understand I understand I understand that it's free but how are they monetizing it I don't understand it either I think it's because the person who who put it up there knew that each each of the games is about 15 minutes long Max so it's like you know if you paid like I would gladly have paid like five bucks for this but I'm sure the dev was like yeah but it's not really much like this can you pay five dollars for this no it's free to play and I looked under Mike uh clubnika in the the steam that's all they have on Steam but apparently someone was telling me that they have itch.io games that you can check out as well that I haven't I haven't actually looked into that and those are free I think those are pay what you want I think that's like band camp if I'm not mistaken okay I'm not sure yeah but how do they monetize yeah how do they monetize is there a subscription for instance maybe maybe this is like like the pamphlet that gets you to buy the rest of like whatever games that are coming out in the future because I will like if my complete plays or makes any more games I will definitely pay money for to see him because they it it it reminds me of like um you know what I'm not gonna say no one remembers The Hitchhiker which was a series on USA I believe just like these little vignette horror stories I remember that like they're mysterious they're not like not like Tales from the Crypt which is like a lot of times it's Gore and and humor and [ __ ] like that this one's more like eerie and like a a like a dread kind of a Feeling so there's a patreon that you could subscribe to for this there you go God damn it some people don't do it some people do It For the Love of the Game JP I'm sure they do but and how do they monetize that yeah those are those are poor people right that's where we [Laughter] canceled oh maybe yeah you're right you're probably right uh The Hitchhiker was probably an HPR Showtime series and the reruns that's what I caught though I caught the reruns on the USA oh okay all right cool but like the one person who remembered that [ __ ] series The Hitchhikers yeah yeah uh Co is there anything else is actually dead from all the scrolling of the 259 vods I know right I've I've got a I've got a lot of I have a lot of stuff to talk about in a couple weeks it's Fallen that game came out oh oh that I'm excited let's go I had very high hopes for Atlas Fallen uh as I am I have been one of the people that have that have sung the Praises of surge one and two I I really like surge one I feel two was an improvement in every way I love surge two I feel like Atlas fall in a lot of ways is a step backward yeah um it's like a story in the world weren't nearly as interesting the delivery was very lackluster um there was like the the kind of actiony the world itself was not nearly as engaging as I was hoping was very kind of bland um it's the the whole intro sequence was very just not like it's just a whole lot of it I came in with relatively high expectations and by the time I was kind of done with my time with my couple hours of it I was kind of like I don't feel a need to return to this game like it just it didn't it didn't it nothing really grabbed me about it there were some things that did pretty well um you know some of the combat was kind of cool I was a little clunky but it kind of worked uh some of the Mechanics for changing and altering things were pretty were pretty cool looked like there was some customization that was especially as I got towards the end of the game was starting to come to light with you know the armor upgrades and things of that nature but yeah I don't know man like with with surge I felt immediately connected to those games and and right off the bat wanted to you know explore it more and find new weapons and find new armor and do all this stuff and this game just in a lot of ways felt like a big step back it just felt like a big step back um I still really hope one day they'll make a surge three and uh I I hope that this game does not impact that possibility um it yeah kind of released an unfortunate time yeah the timing also was like I I might have been able to give this game and I probably would have given this game more time if if I was not doing other things and looking forward to other things so much but the release timing of this was abysmal uh with on my for my personal schedule I should say um so I just don't I don't have the time to give it more time than I did yeah I may return to it one day but if I don't I you know won't be losing any sleep over it uh like gameplay wise I I I got the initial Vibes of like a little monster hunter is that at all close it's a little more actiony it's it's definitely a little more action than Monster Hunter you know like there's active dodging and you know you're pulling and jumping away and things so it feels a little more like kind of an action-y Souls like but it is pretty clunky and there were definitely multiple times when um things didn't really click as they should like by the way the way I was feeling it just wasn't quite that tightness that I like in games like this was not really there and um that definitely impacted the fun fact for sure okay uh did you do any Co-op or was it a single player Adventure player only okay I think Burke was doing some co-op but I I didn't see if he I know he's not playing it anymore but he's also got that Baldur's Gate addiction as well so that might be why so yeah uh rough rough time I think for uh for this game to come out I'm actually curious not that it's indicative of how well it's done but it's kind of indicative I'm going to steam DB it and see how many people are playing you guys want to guess 20 2300 oh wow 2500 2300 the 24 hour Peak is 800. oof the current players right now is 669 and the all-time Peak is 26.79 . so that game didn't do great that's right it hurts man I I like deck 13. um somebody said is this like first spoken I did I did enjoy this more than I enjoyed my time in first book uh the there there is there is a a chatty sidekick that you wear in this game of course of course there is but it wasn't nearly as annoying it was just flat and not very good um instead of like annoying yeah you know was that natural detractor and for spoken and um but you know so I did like this more than for smoking yes I like the gameplay more than the first spoken two but it's still it's not really saying much um you know um hold on it's like do you like it do you like getting punched in the face or kicked in the ass like which is spoken come out this year we did it no or was that last year January 2023. there you go yeah it's been a whirlwind of a of a year well the other thing is uh probably those [ __ ] are really proud of their games or spoken 70 and this one 50. so like that probably doesn't help oh yeah well that's the Square Enix I think that's the the publishing um because this this was yeah who published this so deck 13 was the dev and the publisher was yeah yeah again just it's weird it's weird because surge like surge 2 especially in so many ways feels so much better than this game like I feel I I don't know combat wise like change just combat wise like story wise like voice acting and direct like it's just again it feels like this game in many different categories is not really on par with their previous project and their previous project at this point is years and years and years old yeah so just it just I don't know it's a very strange situation um I I do very much hope we see a search three one day and it's a worthy successor to search too because I I don't think we'll be seeing an atlas Fallen too so geez yeah I you know yeah we'll we'll see where it goes huh uh I mean had less budget maybe dude I don't know maybe I don't know there's a palpable feeling of a difference like it definitely yeah some something's different something's different less to do about this game in particular but uh me bringing up and I see a lot of content creators do this and I see a lot of people do this um being able to bring up the steam numbers has become kind of a big Trend to like judge a game recently do you guys like that how do you feel about that I think it's very interesting to know who is actively the amount of people that are actually playing a game yes I I don't think that it should necessarily be an end-all be-all metric kind of like reviews in general um and I think a lot of times especially for games that you know the whole campaign is 10 hours it doesn't really help checking the numbers weeks and weeks later when everyone's already done with it right I think the peak number's interesting I think the fact that there was not more than 2 600 people playing it at one time on the day of release I think speaks very highly to the time and the marketing behind the game um you know that's that's a big important number I think you can kind of but it's this is all post-mortem stuff I don't think it really necessarily speaks about the game I think it speaks a lot of times to when they released how they released I can speak to how good the game is but you know not always yeah there's also been a lot of hidden gems with a lot of low numbers great games that just didn't hit it big publicly so yeah I feel like it's they're context numbers that's the best way to say it it's look at those numbers and then you get the context behind them and that's what you do it's the number one way I've seen like both people Champion a game Baldur's Gate threes is victim victims of weird Birds here but people are doing this with Baldur's Gate 3 right now in fact because it's once again at 800 000 plus people playing it on a Sunday just like it was last week which is crazy for a week Sunday apparently is the Baldur Escape player day yeah later on loves Baldur's Gate on Sunday um all the old folks are not working so they can play it would be Saturday or something though I wonder why Sunday like on Friday night and stuff like that why are those days not big yeah uh and it happens a lot with like uh live games uh Path of Exile I mean I did it earlier mentioning how many people are playing that and like they didn't hit their all-time high blah blah um it's I mean it's it's interesting it's being able to have because they don't get to do that or we haven't been able to do that for so long with console titles because there's no steam is such like a center of PC gaming that you can't you can't go to like xbox.com and be like oh how many people are playing this game at this point I don't think you can at least um uh it's also important to mention that Atlas Fallen was on consoles as well so you know that it could have been I think it was yeah on Xbox I think yeah yeah so you know those numbers could have been bigger but yeah sure yeah yeah I'm I'm uh I I wonder how uh like you look at Atlas fallen and I look at a Mortals uh of Avon and those just feel like the same exact game to me we'll see man it's in two days I think I I have some some hopes for Immortal and some concerns for Immortal yeah I'm planning on checking it out so we'll you know we'll see see how it looks but there are there are some good things that it looks like it could be doing well and there's some things that look kind of generic and standardy yeah yeah I think the whole Magic thing is is so like mind-numbingly simplistic like three colors of magic which will you choose it's like oh is that I I don't know enough about things yeah that's like the big thing is like there's three colors of magic and it's like well this sounds really boring you're gonna choose red right obviously and well there you go but it's just like just like that's what you boil your magic selected down to like what what you know oh I like this color more it's just like not even gonna like add some content like just what color you like they use the kindergarten I guess the Otter Pop system of magic hey are you gonna be a great magician are you gonna be a lemon lime I know I pretty much pretty much it seriously feels like you're in kindergarten like what's your favorite color okay great I'm like I I feel like there's a real lost opportunity for some depth there maybe like name them something cool or give him an Insignia or you know sure have the different colors but I mean just boil them down to like a color seems a little seems a little um uninspired I think is the word I'll use for it seems a little uninspired but sure I mean it does have some big names in it like there's some some very well-known actors that are in it and doing voice acting and um it's got a cast so I mean I'm hoping that you can push it over you know we'll see it's not people mistake that it's an EA game it's published by EA but it's actually by a smaller Dev team so it's um you know I'm going I'm going in with the perspective of hopefully this is a small Dev team delivering on a cool idea they had we'll see how it works find out does that I keep armored course Friday that's Tuesday right for immortals of avum is that I think so I think that's how that works out or maybe maybe each color is a different type it's not just simply a color I still think there isn't enough depth to it and I'm to say it's just a color slightly unfair I'm talking specifically about the marketing for the record i i i i that I I've seen very little of the game Hands-On even less um I've the marketing is like pick your color out of stuff like that that's what I'm referring to they're boiling it down to appear simplistic which I don't think is the best move yeah oh 24th is armored Core I I would hope in game there's a lot more depth to that for the record I would really hope that if there's a lot more depth to just pick your color in the game um like I would yeah that would be super unfortunate if that's kind of just how they left that hey I'm I'm actually uh on another let me where the [ __ ] was the name of that game there's a game that came out this past week that uh a lot of people in my community were talking about but I have not played it and I forget the name it's like a stealth game it's from uh art stealth is a weird game or a weird way to say it Shadow Gambit the cursed crew have any of you played that no again that's another game that we're right on the radar of things yeah uh they they had another really great game it's not the Desperado devs it is it is desperate it is the Desperado deaths um yeah and I've I've heard not only that apparently the game has built-in saves coming I mean come on man yeah yeah so that's that's one of those games that I I people ask me all the time are you planning on playing it I'm like sure you got like eight hours you can give me like I I don't it's like 20 is a 30 hour uh yeah yeah it's it's it looks super cool I've heard really good things um I will I would like to check it out one day um but no I've heard nothing but good things about it yeah it's got in-lore saves coming that's the I saw that in the review um it's a lot of fun yeah and it works well reviews so it's this is one of those situations where it's like maybe you should have considered it a month or two later or a month earlier or something because like this is the this is the month of Baldur's Gate dude it's everyone's yeah it's weird to be this uh uh stacked in August usually this happens in like October November but it feels like August going into September is the most Starfield really did it if you want to blame a game at Starfield because bg3 was going to be later so the whole plan was that everything was going to be later but then Starfield announced it date which forced larion to move it up a month they very wisely did that it basically took over this month which I think looking back is going to be one of the smartest moves they possibly could have done even with act 3 in the state that it was yeah um I think that that's I think the idea now that I've actually experienced border Skate 3 the idea of experiencing pg3 in parallel with Starfield I I can't even wrap my head around that I can't even wrap my head around that like I don't even know what I would have done um aside from taking up a news right yeah oh God you'd have to like well my plan my original plan was was basically you know 18 hour a day in barter Skate 3 for what the three days we had and then doing like Morning Star field and afternoon Baldur skate 3. but looking at how much time I've spent in it now like that that wouldn't have been feasible that would not have worked like and there's no way I would have been able to peel myself away from it as well so it's like it would have been this really weird situation where you have two games and you don't want to stop I hope this is the case with Starfield but you don't want to stop playing either of them it's like I don't I don't even I I've never been in that situation yeah I've never been I've never been in that situation I think so you know I don't know how I'd react large majority of viewers that uh you know don't play games for a living are going to be in that situation right like you'll finish Baldur's Gate three the mass majority of people want to be able to put a hundred plus hours into a game by the time Starfield comes out um and so they will have to choose I guess Starfield being on Game Pass makes that less of a burden right because you can just like if yet most people have Game Pass so you can just grab it through that but yeah yeah and disclaimer I mean I'm we're we're saying this assuming that Starfield is a game we can't feel ourselves away from which I think we're many of us are cautiously optimistic and hoping that's the case you know copium uh but you know we'll see if it we're saying if it does turn out that way then no we'll see the the Mantra I keep repeating is like what if Starfield is good you know and dude one of one of the leaks that happened what was it earlier today one of the reviewers leaked that he played 15 hours and hadn't seen a bug yet really someone in my chat was saying it earlier there was a guy let it leak that he'd done as a recopy for 15 hours and hadn't seen a bug and it's like I don't know if that's true but if that's true we're in trouble like I guess that's gonna be trouble man if that actually turns out to be true like holy [ __ ] like that's this is a I I don't know man that reviewer must be doing something wrong was the reviewer had towered by any chance it's just Todd Howard in a mustache it's like it just works it's been 15 hours oh man no but I I gotta say a Twitter account with the mustache and he just hates favorable things about the game and the in Bethesda that's [ __ ] great what if one of if please one of you make a hot Tower I love to have the the consistent quality that it does and to have it be as much of a PR sensation as it like I I tweeted uh I I was one of the top streamers on Twitch for the entire first week of August because of balder's gate 3. and if you would have ever told me it's wild years ago that I would break into that list for one of the first times ever with a crpg I would have laughed I would have been like no there's no way crpgs would ever not even enough people in the world want to watch those let alone one be that popular I this to me everyone's got different uh that's cause like crazy point my crazy point is I had the former director of a major Esports organization who does not play crpgs nor does he play RPGs he's at COD bro for all intensive purposes he texted me and said hey should I play Baldur's Gate three I said I don't know man like it's kind of outside your wheelhouse I don't know if you're gonna enjoy it like maybe you like it you text me 10 hours later he says dude this game is [ __ ] incredible that is wild to me like it's winning over the Cod Broast of Bros and they're like yeah Boulder's great it's great I love this game just because I can't get enough of this 10 out of 10. it's wild uh it's been a I would love to know and I'm sure larian is getting just uh overwhelmed by people wanting to talk to Sven and to to employees at the company Adam Smith I've I've for the first time today I started looking into Adam Smith is doing interviews everywhere I would just love to know like what they're saying of their like you see sven's tweets he'll quote tweet like the the PC Gamer article and he's like this is crazy to me he quote tweeted uh the IGN article or the IGN review that gave it a 10 and then I think he just said holy [ __ ] that was his quote tweet because even he can't believe uh the response that he's getting to it so it's wild it's absolutely wild to uh to see that I I don't know of a game that's like it's phenomenal this much of a it's like been this much of a success story that people are constantly rooting for it hasn't really had is a very very bright oh and one of the things this is this is to me the most one of the most beautiful aspects of all this is that a tweet that Sven made he was like we are super excited that you guys love our game you know we've poured tons of years of passion to this we we love that you're doing this and then he ends it going like we can't wait to tell you about what we're working on next essentially yeah and it's like that that's that's i i i i it's it's it's very rare that I can get this excited about something that I have absolutely no idea about and fundamentally feel like oh this is going to be you like whatever what I don't even care what they're working on next like I'm there for it like clearly the top of their game I'm sure it's 99 sure it's gonna be a crpg like you know uh oh I can I it's it's it's nice having a company to be blunt kind of like I used to feel about cdpr where it's like you have a company that you have total near total faith in of course something can go wrong but like it's nice having a golden boy style company where it's just like you can just pretty much give them faith that they're going to deliver an amazing product you know I can count the number of companies on two hands that I just have unequivocable faith will deliver a decent project one of the reasons I'm excited for armor core six I I'm pretty sure it's gonna be an awesome game like even if it has issues it's gonna be pretty great because I trust from soft um but you know it's it's really nice having that feeling um you know and knowing that the first thing they're and they're saying that you know it's not like they're kind of well let's see what kind of offers we can get now that we're a huge company it's like no we're already thinking about the next game don't worry about it like we're gonna keep doing exactly what we're doing now and yeah feels good man that's good it's wild feels good wild for sure curious how long it keeps up if Starfield is gonna be the thing that like pulls people away or if it's just the [ __ ] train is is moving full steam ahead for the next like month two months rest of the year right like what what how long is it gonna it's the third Sunday in a row 800 000 Plus [ __ ] tough if Starfield like even comes close to touching Baldur's Gate it would be I mean that is huge well I think you know they're so similar but in my mind they're so different they're so different like it's it's they're different 100 but here's so different the thing is Bethesda it's like it's like Dan said it all last week it's a Bethesda game like those yeah it's on Game Pass those don't come my freaking Game Pass dude but like once a day yeah like oh my God if if Microsoft is public about the numbers of people playing on Game Pass they're gonna be millions and millions and millions of players it's gonna have a huge effect yeah so I mean yeah it's it's gonna you know it's gonna be a different level gonna be a different level I think so what's going to be very interesting is if Starfield comes out you cut out a little bit you said eclipse is balder gate three right I I do wonder if Starfield comes out and it's actually really good and millions and millions of people play it I'm very curious if it's gonna be like all of a sudden everyone's just talking about starving it will happen at that point and at that point and at that point Lariat is like a thousand percent on like thank God we moved up a month you know like oh my like it's interesting to think of a world where it could have been a Horizon Elden ring situation yeah you know where it's like Baldur Skate 3 is amazing don't get me wrong it's gonna it's some people's literal best game ever but it's like if it had released right before Starfield and then Starfield actually generates a small Sun's worth of hype because it turns out to be the best Bethesda game made so far like that's it's gonna be interesting man listen I I don't know if you can hear no I can guarantee you it will be I can guarantee you it will be the best Bethesda game to come out and when does Skyrim come out in like the last eight years last decade right yeah there you go it'll it will be locked down the best Bethesda game to come out in 12 years well no I mean every every Bethesda game has released to massive horrible issues like let's be blunt like but just like Dan was saying last week you said it perfectly it's like you just got to give them time they always come out uncooked that kind of thing Starfield actually comes out and it and it works and it's good like this is a new this is actually a new Leaf this whole like releasing completed games like this is this is New Territory for Bethesda yeah um you know if it's actually if that's actually the case so God it's it makes me it makes it's this weird kind of like nervous anticipation 100 I'm right there with you it's wild down or didn't get Microsoft's QA oh really Starfield got all of Microsoft's Qing so so one of the interesting things is this is It's almost like there's some it's kind of a heavy word for this but it's almost like there's some oversight um because this means that Microsoft kind of knows the state of the game before they they put it out with their name on it so I mean it's it's uh you know maybe there's there's been rumors that that's the reason it was pushed back because of you know Microsoft basically being like we're not letting you do this Bethesda we know this is your thing but we're actually going to try to make this game finished before we put it out so we're gonna need to bump it back a while yeah um but you know again it I and I realize it's all just copium but it is 100 coping but it's exciting copia I feel like Cody's going to be really disappointed at launch I can't be don't get me wrong I'm excited and everything and I have a lot of copium but my expectations are still very realistic for this game um if it's on par with Fallout 4 I'll be thrilled like I I I love this kind of game I love these games like if it's if I'm kind of expecting a buggy mess so it's like you know Zeke yeah what are you gonna do when you're in the desert and Starfield comes out and you don't like are you are you gonna like try to look to see how it's going because you're going to be in the desert for a week to parachute in and give me like only but only in the case of like it's a huge flop everybody is pissed like that's all like if it's doing well I don't I don't care you don't care but if it's doing terribly like that's the energy I need to be the game is guarded I'm gonna go damn the game is if the game is absolute garbage then I will meet Zeke and burning man and
