ETV Discussion: Revival (w/ David Diga Hernandez, Matt Cruz, and Isaiah Saldivar)

saying I'm in my backsliding face is like saying I'm in my cheating phase when I marry yeah it should be non-existent but I think the issue is that people are losing the fire of the Holy Ghost because they're not giving them anything to consume that's right Jesus actually gives us the geographical location of God in the earth moaning people don't know that Jesus tells us hello this is David Igor Hernandez and you are watching E TV interviews here on the Encounter TV network today I'm joined by two of my friends Isaiah Saldivar and Matt Cruz and we're going to be talking about the things of God I want to share a little something to get the discussion going and then we're just gonna go as we're led share us the Holy Spirit leads you so I'm gonna share this thought it's found in a couple references here in the Book of Leviticus the Book of Leviticus chapter 6 verse number 12 says this meanwhile the fire on the altar must be kept burning it must never go out each morning the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it he will then burn the fat of the piece offerings on it remember the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times it must never go out now something that interested me here is that this instruction was given to the priest just at the beginning of the Levitical priesthood this was given at a time when God was establishing a new order they were given very clear instructions do not let the fire go out this was an instruction from heaven God had given to them God had emphasized keep the fire burning do what you can in fact they were told keep putting things on the altar when the fire starts to die keep putting things on the altar when the fire begins to diminish and then the fire falls in Leviticus chapter 9 verse number 22 says after that Aaron raised his hands toward the people and blessed them then after presenting the sin offering the burnt offering and the peace offering he stepped down from the altar in other words he did what God told him to do and then he stepped aside then Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle and when they came back out they blessed the people again and the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community fire blazed forth from the Lord's presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar when the people saw this they shouted with joy and fell face down on the ground now here's what it's amazing to me God is establishing this new order he gives instructions to the priests don't let the fire die he tells them if it starts to die put more on the altar in other words sacrifice more when the fire is dying and here we see God giving them this instruction to keep the fire burning but not once does God instruct them to start the fire in fact this is why made a band ABBA who were later consumed by the Lord's anger because they had presented what was called strange fire or fire of the flesh natural fire on the altar of God God instructed the priest to keep the fire burning and the reason he emphasized that they should keep the fire burning was because the fire came from heaven and they were to preserve what heaven had given to them this to me demonstrates the partnership between the holy spirit and man that when we partner with the holy spirit we do the possible God will do the impossible we do the difficult God will do the supernatural that is the partnership the working between the divine and the human and this is how we see a move of God we do what God tells us to do but only God can bring the fire I know you my friend have been experiencing a tremendous revival in Northern California does this ring true for you yeah absolutely I think people are attracted to the fire the fire of God which keeps us going there's times where you know traveling you go to these big churches and you feel almost intimidated by what the pastor says you know okay you're gonna get up there and they're not gonna be excited and they're not really gonna receive it and you almost want to get up there and just tell them what they want to hear how God wants to turn their BMW 3 series into a 5 series and God wants to give them a bigger house and a better life but Jeremiah came to this place where he was preaching an unpopular message he was preaching a message of repentance a message of holiness a message of revival preaching the judgement how God was coming to judge the church although the church thought it was in a great place and Jeremiah gets to a place of ministry where we've all been where he goes I'm tired of preaching repentance and a revival and judgment he goes I want to give up he's wanting to quit but then he goes there's a fire shut up in my bones that I cannot control and I've often found myself I'll get up on stage and I'm like I almost just want to blend in and be like everybody else and do what I know they want me to do I call it you know get up there and dance for them but then all of a sudden when I take that microphone that fire shows up and I'm reminded of when God called me when God anointed me when God chosen me and I can honestly say David for the last nine years I am more on fire right now than I've ever been I can't tell you how many pastor said and I've probably Matt's probably heard this year the fire is gonna die and you're gonna you know settle down you're gonna come down it's just a honeymoon but I'm burning hotter than I've ever burned I'm more passionate I'm more hungry and that comes by stoking the fire constantly thrown in last night I was preaching and I got done with my message an hour long and I raised my hand I said guys I'm the first one to respond to the altar call tonight I said I'm the first one to break out of casualness complacency going through the motions I think as preachers and pastors we forget that it's so easy to just go through the motions and not have the fire because we rely on gifting a relined talent but without that fire without that passion we have nothing to offer this generation that fire is what is contagious to people it's what changes and what you know burns away the flesh and burns away the idols and changes people that's so said you mean people have told you I mean I know they told me that oh yeah sad that it's so common that you're but have you had that experience of people ministers even telling you well well don't worry young man one of these days you're gonna be just as dull as the rest of us kind of something similar to what you've heard yeah all the time people say that and I think it's all about cultivating the fire keeping the flame alive and I believe and I often tell people too that casual believers don't produce power come on I think that spending time in the presence of God like we set out so much time for things that take from us but not from the one who died for us and I feel like we and once we develop that appetite to spend time with God keep the flame alive then we'll feel like like Isaiah was saying when you're on stage he will remind you the anointing comes on you because you're spending time with him and I believe we have to get back to connecting to the power source you know one of the things I do before I go onstage to minister is I will say to the Holy Spirit I'm helpless without you come on and you have to go on with me or have nothing office Peters and and I have to remind myself the fire of God is not passion come on fire of God is not zeal it's not a gift that's not even revival the fire of God is a person and that person is the holy Gospel Uli and I found that when he is allowed to do what he's allowed to do and I stand out of his way that something is produced in the spirit that something that can't be done in the flesh I mean I've seen it done over and over again where people attempt to start in the flesh what could only be started in the spirit they try to work up this false move of the Holy Spirit that's good I think one thing is important as so many people want to bring an offering but don't want to be the offering I tell people all the time the reason the fire fell in the Upper Room is late you say that again I said so many people want to bring an offering but nobody wants to be the offering when the fire of God is not moving or falling it's because there's nothing to fall upon so many pastors and leaders are going where's the fire in my church I don't know why God's not moving I'm going when's the last time you came and brought God something that really hurt you David said this they tried giving David a free field they said look David you could offer this up to God you get out the field you could have the animals everything in Davis that I refuse to offer God anything that does not cost me something God is looking at how far are we willing to go for this thing called revival and how much are we willing to pay and when you get to that place where you say God I'm giving you everything I don't just want a part of you I want all of you that's when the fire comes if you look at New Testament worship the Bible says that true worship unto God is offering your bodies as living sacrifices so God goes I don't want you to bring an animal I want you to be the offering in the upper room they made the upper room was an altar and they became the sacrifice they said we're not bringing a sacrifice ten days in that room they weren't bringing the sacrifices they became the sacrifice and the fire of God fell as a result of God saying I approve of this sacrifice you could bring up a lame offering to God and God doesn't approve of it if the fires not on your life is because you haven't brought him something he approves of God told the people I'm tired of your lame offerings I tell people we go up and give God our lame worship our lame praise our lame offerings are lame shout and God goes I don't want lame offerings I want nah I want the best that you have I want the first the Bible says seek God first and all these other things shall be added and a lot of times we want to seek God last or third or fourth or fifth or second or whatever it could be and we give our energy to our boss we give our energy to our wife and our kids but God says I will neither the Lord of all or I'm enough the Lord at all I want to be first in your life and if you prioritize it say god I'm not gonna put you fifth 6/7 I'm gonna put you first and everything else the Bible says will be added unto us Jesus is very demanding absolutely well failed to recognize that he doesn't say hey give me give me some of what you I said I want every bit you yeah I want you to be so committed to me that others think you hate them come on that income by comparison of the Lord so much but then there's that that that that result that we see of lives transformed all around us yeah yeah I agree 100% and I love I love with Isaiah said to and I always go back to like prayer like are we gonna sacrifice time you know are we gonna actually spend time with God for example I have my phone next to me this phone we could look up all types of facts on it we can connect with people all across the globe but if this phone is not connected to a power source and it's useless so I tell people the same thing may I submit to you that our live our lives are like the same like the cell phone if we're not connected to the power source and our lives are useless in a worthless and if we could be honest and the people watching this right now how often do you charge your phone it's good you know all the time because we if we can be honest David and I said we can't go throughout the entire day talking to everybody else if we know we're not connected to the source right on the phone in the same thing with us if we're not connected to God then we're useless we got to get connected and and our repr are we literally providing a time or app or prioritizing that that alone time what he said are we gonna be more committed to the secret place in the public place are we gonna spend time with God and say God it's you when we recognize that without the Lord were nothing that's when he shows up I think if we want to see the Lord move in this day we have to position ourselves in the secret place god yes when he's looking for someone to use and I think of Acts chapter 4 verse 13 and I realized that when God looks to the earth for someone to use he's not looking in the Universities come on he's not looking in the places that are prestigious by worldly standards he's not even looking in the church buildings God is looking in the prayer room yeah absolutely people who lay themselves down and who are willing to sacrifice all and I think this this notion of that you brought up and and this is it's almost bugging me that that I mean not that you brought it up but the fact that you had to bring it up this idea that other believers discourage believers by oh yeah oh don't worry you'll get over that or don't worry things will mellow out for you spiritually speaking I don't believe that's the case I don't believe that should be the case saying I'm in my backsliding face is like saying I'm in my cheating phase when I marry yeah it should secret to the secret place many people say well where's God I need to find God where could I find God Jesus actually gives us the geographical location of God in the earth many people don't know that Jesus tells us think about this Jesus tells us the geographical write the physical location of God in the earth and he goes not only can you find him there tells us where it's at he goes but every believer has access and we go where would that be in the secret place he says pray to your father in secret and then he says this who's in secret and he'll answer publicly but the whole point is the key there is gods in the secret place and G so when you pray what shut the door and pray I believe David the door is not just the door of your bedroom or your office because I don't think he was that legalistic I believe the door was the door in your mind how many of us know that when we get to pray and everyone watching what happens the moment we try to pray all of a sudden what am I going to eat tomorrow my boss I just got to do this for my taxes I have to go here I gotta go pick up my kids all the thoughts and the distractions and demonic voices and every it feels like everything raises up against you so Jesus goes when you pray don't just pray but shut the door of your mind all those voices and distractions and the pressure and society in corporate America go shut it all out focus on me and that's where you're gonna find me and it's in that place you find the fire Matthew 6:6 he tells us that's the key to prayer yeah and all of these things that occur in our mind when we go to pray I like to call inner chaos so isn't it interesting and I'm sure you've experienced this all throughout the day you seem to be perfectly at peace until the moment you go to pray and then suddenly responsibilities a task list relationships financial issues all of the things that burden and distract our mind and I tell people because they often say this well I was perfectly fine until I began to press I know you weren't because inner chaos does not show up with a lawn gnome it's revealed when we that's good we're just never quiet enough to hear what's going on inside yes so when inner chaos does not show up when we pray is revealed when we pray come on we're never quiet enough to recognize what's going on in us no wonder people are walking around depressed no wonder they're walking around fearful because they have all of these things going on and and this is the key silence and stillness silence is the putting away about a distraction stillness quieting of the soul it's when my soul is still and all of that chaos that surrounds me is lost in the majesty and the glory of his presence that's so good yeah I think we have more access than we realize I tell people all the time you have a backstage pass all-access pass to the kingdom of God yet you settle for bleacher seats I mean God has given us full access a million-dollar budget a month and we live off a dollar a day you know there's so much in the spirit and in God that we have and it is only access and unlocked in the secret place there's no I tell I wish I could give you a free shortcut formula but it takes time it takes effort to stoke that fire and to keep feeding that flame I don't think this is this is so powerful I love how the Holy Spirit's really directing this conversation but I got a question because because one of the things I think we both really appreciate about Matt's ministry and one of the things that I really admire about you is your boldness to go out and evangelize we're talking about the five God we're talking about revival we're talking about evangelism but really it it culminates in holiness it culminates in a worship lifestyle it culminates in closeness with God but it also culminates in in reaching out to others and snatching them out of darkness and you've seen this quite often in your ministry yeah all the time I think people are waiting on it you know they're waiting on hearing the truth you know I was the other day at this place called after his ice cream and I was evangelizing to this group of girls and I had my Bible right here and I was actually scrolling like flipping through it I was reading description I go to the the group of people and I say hey guys sounds like you ever read this verse before you know I'm try and break the ice and it just like blew me away at how much they they didn't want to believe in the Bible they didn't want to you know they didn't want to believe in God and I'm thinking like this is the only book where the author is in love with the reader the only book and we often tell people there's so many books out there that inform you but only the word of can transform your life and people need to know this and I believe when they get to that place of knowing the Word of God is alive and active then they can allow it to change their life when they I believe David that we can't like if we want to be a disciple of Jesus the Word of God must become a priority in your life and I believe it think you both are great examples of this I mean we're talking about this in filling of the Holy Spirit that's so intense that it manifests in all different aspects of our life both of you guys carry so many traits but like I said what stands out to me about you is that boldness that comes out for evangelism what stands out to me about you is this passion for holiness and I love that about your ministry I love that about what God's put in you and this is one of the key things concerning the fire of the Holy Spirit yeah the Bible says without holiness no man will see God so you can please God but I don't just want to please God with faith we please him but with holiness we see him and I'm going I want to see God what did Jobe say job's going through all this chaos in his life he says my ears have heard of you but now my I see you I'm undone come on so job goes I went beyond the hearing about and there's many in the church that have settled for hearing about him and they don't want to see him but I don't just want to hear about him I want to be like Paul Paul said I've seen things I can't even write about that are so holy Jeremiah said he told Jeremiah ask me and I will show you not tell you I will show you great and mysterious things you do not know John said in Revelation I heard a voice saying come up here I want to show you things so there's things that God wants to show us but until we're willing to remove all this you know that the veils and all this facade and the masks and the going through the motions God can't show us what he wants show us and when you see the heavenly places as you know I mean I've got caught up in visions before I wouldn't even talk about on this show and they've changed in my life I've gotten caught up in encounters where I got fell down a bad husband and got up a good husband you know what I'm saying went down a bad father got up a good father they change everything but unless you give God the opportunity and you get in that secret place and you consecrate yourself we call it happy holiness where it's not because you have to because you get to I'm not giving it because I have to I'm giving up because I found the treasure and I'm gonna sell everything I have to get this treasure it cost everything and so I'm willing to give up the music I'm willing to give up in the movies I'm willing to consecrate my eyes make a covenant with my eyes turn my eyes away from looking at worthless thing because when I've seen his glory and his power in his majesty what else is there pornography what I tell guys what do you mean you're struggling have you seen the beauty of his holiness when you get a glimpse of the glory and the power the angel sing day and night the Bible says they do not arrest holy holy holy for trillions upon trillions of years and you're gonna tell me you're struggling with pornography I told one can I said man if you would gaze upon him and see him you wouldn't want to see all that but the thing is the enemies lock down the eyes of our generation he's distracted the eyes and I believe God's opening the eyes of a generation we're gonna see the holiness and the power of God like never before would you agree that the key to overcoming sin is loving Jesus absolutely absolutely you fall so in love with him you fall out of love with everything else I don't have to try to not cheat on my wife I think in the church we're trying going I just got to stop sinning and I just got to stop and going why are you trying to nachi I don't try to not cheer my wife I don't do it because I love her I mean the thought never crossed my mind I'm in love so when you fall in love with God you don't sit there and go how close can I get to the line I'm not trying to see how close I can get without my wife getting mad at me I'm going how far can I get away from sin and darkness compromise I go I'll go over and above I love when people call me legalistic David sit the Bible says when David got the ark back every six steps he sacrificed now show me that in Scripture it's not in Scripture why because David said I'm gonna go above and beyond what God has asked of me to make sure I never lose the presence of God Wow it's not it's about pathetic no I said David David said every six steps I'm gonna lay down sacrifice which is not found in Scripture god never required that but David said I'm gonna go above and beyond what God has asked of me so that I make sure I never lose the presence of God again so it's not how little we can do and more we can get how much can we do how much can I give if he never does another thing I'll still praise him if he never does another thing I'll still give him everything so I mean when you encounter it all comes down about what we talked about see encounter when you encounter that fire I'm that presence of God I mean I feel it right now when you encounter that there's nothing else out there for you you know you talk about was last week and Canada fentanyl capital of the world 3,000 young men died last year fentanyl overdose in a small community I know one guy who died nine times and I told him when you encounter the pleasure and the joy and the goodness of God fentanyl is nothing on what God can do in your life in the presence of God amah it goes beyond everything you know gentlemen let's pray yes I mean we can go on I'm sure and I'm sure the viewers would love like I would hear you guys talk non-stop I I'm so glad I get to fellowship with the boys man it's good this is just a wonderful time for me I'm so enjoying it and I wanted to say publicly I so honor and appreciate the anointing on both of you now what God is doing to both of you is just so powerful and I feel privileged that I get to in some small way help to spread what God is doing through you all so we appreciate let's pray yes and just however you're led there's people watching from all walks of life in all different situations you you start us off looking right into that camera yes and just pray over that person Lord we are asking right now for your all-consuming fire god we thank you that your fire is all-consuming god we thank you that your fire is not just a small candle but it's a forest fire that burns God all compromised and God we're asking right now even every viewer watching that the fire of Almighty Yahweh would burn away compromise out of your life god we pray that we would lay down a sacrifice that is worthy God that the fire of God would fall upon every sacrifice every offering god I'm asking that we would no longer bring you an offering but we would become the offering god we are asking for something new you are a God of new you don't do old and so God right now over every viewer would you do something new something fresh something fiery god we pray that you would shut this fire up in the bones of every viewer God that you would raise up prophets that you would raise up pastors teachers evangelists and pastors God right now anoint them put your fire on them consecrate them in the name of Jesus we thank you God for that father I just pray God right now that every viewer would never allow God their mind to go with their spirits not allowed as their eyes would stay focused on you father I thank you that even in Hebrews that says let us throw off everything and sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us keeping our eyes on Jesus the Pioneer perfecter of our faith father I pray that every viewer would keep their eyes on you that you would enlighten what's dark God that you would heal what's been broken God you would revive what's been dead revival requires a change in the deepest levels of the heart god I pray that you would transform their minds in their hearts and God that you would mold them and equip them into the man of God and the women of God that you call them to be lord I just thank you right now for every viewer let strongholds come down in the name he says you are the one Gump that turns bondage into freedom darkness into light sin into salvation have your way God the name above every other name father in Jesus name only this can happen do what only you can do God your Lord so holy spirits burn out everything that is not Jesus consume us Holy Spirit causes to be molded into the image of Jesus father let our eyes be your eyes let us see people the way you see them let our ears be your ears let us hear your voice but our mouths be your mouth let us speak your word with boldness but our hands be your hands heal through them touch to them that our feet be your feet guide us whatever direction you want us to go you point the way and we will obey help us not just to hear you and to obey but help us to obey you instantly my heart beat one with yours so let their heart beat one with yours crucify our wills resurrect your own caused us to burn right for the
