[Music] hey everyone welcome back to another episode of extra turns on this one we have a special guest from the mtg community that you might recognize hey everyone i'm pixie kitten you might recognize me from my youtube channel or from my podcast magic for normies or from twitch where i stream every wednesday and today i'm really excited to throw down on extra turns also we have one of our team members who's never been on the show before hey everybody i'm grav and you might know me from a lot of my work from the command zone but you also might know me from a lot of rpg streams that i've done on the web such as wild cards and dark lanterns but i'm really excited about my first appearance on extra turns so the deck i'm playing today is a partner pairing of trin and silvar this deck is a human tribal deck its plan is to overwhelm the board by playing some of the best human cards in magic and then pump them up with several anthem effects and once my human army's assembled i'll swing in and secure the victory and the deck i brought today is jury master of the review the goal of my deck is to create a lot of little tokens then i need to be able to sacrifice those tokens so that i can make my commander huge then once my commander is big enough i'm going to sacrifice it so i can do massive amounts of damage and hopefully one shot my opponents right in the face and today i'm playing an old school commander ramsay's overdark this deck is about the dark side of enchantments my goal is to stick a ton of small auras on my opponent's creatures so that i can easily take them out with my commander's ability then i want to suit up my own creatures with beneficial enchantments and with all blockers out of the way swoop in for the win the commander i built around is verena lich queen so i built this deck because i'm on the zombie token i had to and because of that my strategy is to make as many zombie craigs as i possibly can and then once i have all my zombie synergies set up i'm gonna overwhelm my opponents with zombie craigs and it's gonna be like night of the living craig all right let's fight okay it's time for jury duty prepare for a nights of enchantments [Laughter] all right everybody ready yeah let's go sweet okay draw my card for turn i will play a temple of malice it enters tapped and i will scry one put it on the top and pass my turn all right i will draw for turn i'll play a field of the dead tap i don't like that card yeah and i will pass turn all right i will draw for turn i will play a watery grave tapped and i will pass the turn all right i will draw for turn i will play a windbrisk heights tapped it has hideaway so i'm going to search the top four cards in my library and pick one to hide away underneath it nice it's a fun card yeah it's a problem later on uh and i'll pass my turn okay i will untap draw my card i'm going to play a swamp and then i will pay 2 and cast my commander jury master of the review all right two cmc commanders those are always dangerous yes mine's six mine's not coming out for a while and i will pass my term all right i will untap draw for turn i'm going to play a scrub land and pass the turn okay i will untap i will draw for turn i'm going to play a swamp then i'm going to tap two and play a mine stone nice and i will pass the turn to you grove okay i will untap i will draw for turn i will play a swamp and i will pay two to play borrow sigma very nice and i will pass my turn okay and tap for only card so i'm going to play a pteromorphic expanse then i'm going to tap and sacrifice it to search my library for a basic land i'm going to get a mountain and it will come onto the battlefield tapped when i do that that's going to trigger my commander and it will get a plus one plus one counter then i will pay one and cast a witch's oven there's the south outlet yeah and past my term all right draw for turn i'm going to play a swamp pretty swamp and then i am going to grim tutor [Applause] so i'm going to go search my library for a card and i'll lose three life and i'll go to 37. ouch and i'm gonna put this into my hand and i pass turn okay i will untap i will draw for turn i will play a command beacon and then i will play a blood caster so when you cast an enchantment spell you may have target creature get minus two minus two until end of turn okay ooh your zombies are mud that's not good for them and i'll pass okay i will untap i will draw for turn and then i will play a spine rock knoll which is another hideaway land uh i will look at the top four cards in my library and choose one hide it away underneath and put the rest on the bottom of my deck it's a lot to keep track of and then i'm going to cast painful truths paying one mana of each color so you're going to draw three and lose three yeah one two three and i'll lose three life going to 37 and because i have eight cards in my hand i will discard a selfless glyph weaver all right and i will pass my turn okay i will untap draw a card i will play a command tower and then i will pay three and cast woe strider when it enters the battlefield create a zero one white goat creature token and i will pass my turn alright i will untap draw for turn uh i'll play a planes i'm going to cast a fellow stone and then i'm going to cast a ghostly prison oh no yeah i don't like that i need that but i want to be able to attack you all right and i will pass turn okay i will untap i will draw a return play a swamp and then i will play a solemn simulacrum sad robot so i will search my library for a basic island i will put that into play taps and yeah that's all i'm going to do i will pass the turn to you gruff all right i will untap upkeep and then draw for turn all right i'm gonna play a plateau uh and then i'm gonna tap five to play a vanquisher's banner oh nice seems good in a human's deck pretty good uh what creature type are you going to name i will choose human not a tug thralls thralls and that's it for me i will pass my turn on your end step i'm going to sacrifice my goat token to the woe strider to scry one and i'm not sure if i like that so i'm gonna put that on the bottom that will trigger my commander so i'll get another plus one plus one counter and now i will go to my turn untap draw a card i will play a tainted peak as my land for turn and then i will pay three and cast a commander sphere not too bad and i'll pass my term all right i will untap draw for turn uh i'm gonna play nyxthose and then i am going to play one of my favorite new cards bolas's citadel new cards yeah i mean new kind of yeah relatively right sure it's pretty good okay so i'm going to look at the top card in my library uh-oh uh secret i will pass the term all right i will unzap i will drop return okay i will play hilaria oh and get rid of all your banding watch out whoa all right now i'm gonna tap six mana and cast my commander ramsay's overdark all right just do wait some enchantments are gonna be coming neat yeah unfortunately i cannot do anything else except for attack but i can't attack craig so grav i'm going to attack you for two with my blight caster yeah that tracks you've got a vanquisher's banner you're still scary i'll take two damage going to 35 and i will pass the turn to you okay i'll untap and then draw for turn uh let's see what's the best way to do this best way to kill craig oh hey why is the conversation always turned to that because you have a fullness of cinnamon and a ghostly prison a ghostly prison is whatever follows the citadel has to go or craig has to go i'm fine with the take here this is gonna draw some hate but i feel like it's an answer to a lot of people's problems so i'm gonna play magus of the disc it enters the battlefield tapped i understand this is going to trigger vanquisher's banner so i get to draw a card nice it is a human i'm going to assume my magus of the disc won't live long so i'm going to pay one for a soul ring okay so i'm going to play an arid mesa and i'm going to immediately crack it i will search my deck for a savay triumph and that'll come into the battlefield tapped and i'll lose one life and go to 34. and that's all for me on your end step i am going to sacrifice my commander sphere that will trigger my jury sweet jury is now a 4-4 and i will draw a card very nice and i will go to my turn untapping draw a card i will play a fabled passage as my land for turn um and i will pay three and cast everybody's favorite planeswalker tibult and i'm gonna activate his minus two ability to create a one one red devil creature token and he will go to three uh i will then go ahead and crack my fabled passage to search for a basic land card and i will get a snow-covered mountain since i have four or more lands it will come in that will trigger jury again i'm starting to see how this deck works yeah right jury is now a five five years like a ticking time bomb and i'm just gonna go ahead and pass all right i will untap and draw for turn because of bolas of citadel i'm going to look at the top part of my library and i'm going to play a land from the top of my library there you go so smart beautiful how many lens is that that is six okay so feel the dead next turn not yet i'm going to look at the top part of my library it seems legit oh no yes yes so biggest any lands all right instead i'm going to play overseer the damned oh so when it etbs i get to destroy target creature okay i'm going to destroy the magus of the disc i don't like that card i need to protect the citadel yes yeah there goes my plan yeah okay and because a non-token creature died that an opponent controls i'm going to create a tapped tutu black zombie creature token the token looks familiar yeah well that's scary and i pass turn all right i will unzip i will draw i'll play ferexian tower as my land return that's a nice one i think craig's the biggest problem what oh definitely i agree with that strongly oh yes yes all right i'm gonna tap three and i'm gonna cast casting of bones onto craig's overseer of the damned all right so it's enchanted when i cast that my blight caster will trigger and i may have target creature get minus two minus two until end of turn i will target craig's zombie token oh i'm sorry i like it and then i will activate my commander yes the straight target creature with an enchantment card placed on it overseer the dam cool man so then casting of bones triggers when enchanted creatures put into the graveyard i get a draw three and discard one pretty good i'll discard and extinguish all hope oh hold up oh hold up wait a minute hold up take maxis no no i do want to do that but i just drew a ridiculous card uh-oh okay we're all very excited yeah so i will play copy artifacts oh it's very good uh it is an enchantment spell so black caster is gonna trigger pixie i will target your devil token in response i will sacrifice the devil to the woe strider so that i can scry one all right value i'll keep that on top and that will trigger jury three goes to five counters when the devil dies i get to do one damage to any target and i will do one damage to murph's face what i'm going to take one and go to 39. well i just want to be winning i'm not the threat yet but my copy artifact is going to resolve yes it will and i will choose to have it become a copy of bola's citadel i feel like you are the threat okay [Laughter] all right so with ballistic citadel i get a look at the top card of my deck land land lands land land i will pay for life uh-oh and cast root water matriarch so i'm now at 35. now i can look at the top part of my library again i will test it it is a demir signet and i will pay 2 life going to 33 i'll look at the top card on my deck again uh-oh it's an arcane segment i will pay you life i just want to say craig did this [Laughter] look what you have wrought oh god i'll look at the top card on my deck again um i'll play two life and cast stratus walk and go to 29. come on we're the lands targeting jury that's also going to trigger my blight caster when i cast that and i will have your will strider get minus 2 minus 2 until end of turn i'm gonna let that resolve but first i will sacrifice the woestrider to the witch's oven and create a food token and that will cause jury to trigger and then your spell will resolve okay the jury is now enchanted and because stratus walk enters the battlefield i will draw a card oh i drew a land wow i get a look at the top card on my deck again i will play a crashing drawbridge okay i will pay two left we all have board wipes right all right then i'm going to look at the top part of my deck gosh this is so gross i'm going to play a mine's dilation oh no this is getting out of hand okay seven live go to 20 and that is an enchantment spell so i guess jury will get minus two minus two until end of turn okay it's a five five now okay i will look at the top part of my deck it is a lens okay i'm going to activate my phyroxy entire second ability to sacrifice a creature to add two black mana i'll sacrifice my psalm simulacrum oh man and when it dies i will draw a card it's going off he's going off i'll look at the top part of my deck and i don't want to play that then i have two black floating i'll add a blue and i'll cast propaganda oh i feel just like craig i'm exactly like craig you are way more threatening than i am right yeah when that gets cast blood caster will trigger i'll have jury get another minus two minus two until end of turn and then i will cast a mirror mage oh my lord i will have jury get another minus two minus two until end of turn so it's a one one now okay and i will have mirror made enter the battlefield as a copy of mind's dilation all right i am all tapped out i've had one heck of a turn you could say that yeah oh man i will pass the turn to you grove okay i will untap and i will draw for turn uh okay so we need to kill murph like that's the plan now that's the plan no it's a bad plan yes like absolutely yes who killed the magus of the disc that'd be nice right now yeah no great right silly is so dumb can you bring it right so i can do some damage in the air to it okay this turn and then you also obviously now have a flyer i can kill murph okay cool so if i get merv nobody's gonna come at me i get a full turn no attacks attempts full immunity full of fairies protection for pixar okay that's fair that's totally fair i make no such promises so i am going to cast falconrath aristocrat oh that doesn't trigger anything because it's not a human for me but it does trigger my insulation all right so i got two minds dilation triggers let's go for the first one okay here we go outlaw's merriment okay uh at the beginning of your i'll keep you get to make tokens sure i'll cast that do it when that gets cast blind caster will trigger i'll just have jury get minus two minus two until end of turn okay all right and then second minus dilation trigger gather around that one nice well i guess i'll cast it doesn't help me it's on and i'll play a scrubling for my turn all right uh he's tapped out so i'm gonna move to combat yep i'm gonna attack you in the air for four and on attack i will pay for prop again i have no blocks i will take four go to 16. chipping away all right here we go here we go all right go team yeah i'll pass my turn to you captain boo team on your end step i will pay to tap my food sacrifice it gain three life going to 43 jury gets another counter it is an eight eight now oh man so many triggers for jury and now i will go to my turn untap draw my card for turn i will play a cryptic caves as my land for turn fairness and then i will minus two tybalt to create a one one red devil creature token table is that one nice and then i'm gonna go to combat and i will attack murf with jury i will pay the two okay in response i'll attempt to get rid of the flying on that creature through the most ridiculous way possible i'm going to activate bolus's citadel what okay wait wait oh my god i forgot about that trigger non land permanence oh no i'm gonna sacrifice everything including the stratus walk which is giving your creature flying what except for root water matriarch ramses and my two copies of mine stylization oh no sacrifice at all here go grab these go to your graveyards thank you oh this is not good for us so each of you loses 10 life i'll go to 27. i'll go to 24. i'm at 33. then i'll say go to blocks before blocks yeah okay okay she's got a plan hold on oh i'm going to pay two and cast a fling don't do that no as an additional cause to cast the spell sacrifice a creature i will sacrifice jury fling deals damage equal to sacrifice creatures power to any target so i will do eight damage to murph okay let's see so that doesn't kill him it does it doesn't jury dies it deals damage equal to its power to any target so that would be an additional damage okay jimmy would be so proud so before the fling itself actually resolves i have two mind stillation triggers there's more but exile the top card of your library active active treason okay maybe i just take grubs falcon wrath aristocrat and sacrifice it to itself why you monster why would you do such a yeah i'm gonna do that [ __ ] wrath aristocrat untap it uh in response i'm gonna sacrifice it to itself dang it well ghostly presence uh let's see i will tap plateau and a boros signet all right i will take the damage and that puts me down to 18. sweet uh and then i'm going to tap two to play a generals enforcer which will trigger my vanquishes banner and allow me to draw a card and then i'll pass the turn okay i am not going to do anything on your end steps so i'm going to untap draw a card i'm going to pay two and two more and recast tree sweet all right i have three mana left and i will pay three to cast flesh bag marauder yeah all right when it enters the battlefield each player sacrifices a creature going to cast it oh it is liliana heretical healer nice okay all right and i'm gonna lose three life for that put me down to 14 and then i'll look again just to see uh so i'm going to cast it it is an azorius signet okay and so i'm gonna lose two life i'm gonna look again oh wow i'm gonna put that on top uh all right so i am going to declare attacks okay before you actually declare attackers yeah i'm going to cast dire tactics so she's just an exile target creature wow targeting your commander okay so varina is going to get exiled okay so she will go back into my command zone so i am in my attack phase i am going to pass through my attack phase that was a fun attack there yeah that was interesting let's see here i'm going to tap two and my nythos to make seven black mana then i'm going to tap my ferexian tower to sacrifice my zombie master to make two more black mana so that is nine black mana when my zombie master dies my liliana is going to trigger and flip to liliana defiant necromancer put in a zombie or a me token we don't like that yeah i'm not a fan i don't like that at all so i'm gonna tick her up to five and we're each going to discard a car oh no i'm gonna discard a godless shrine uh i'm gonna discard a swamp i'm going to discard a tragic slip okay ooh i like that that is tragic it is thanks craig okay so i've got nine black mana so i'm going to put one more into it and i'm gonna cast agadeem's awakening for x is equal to seven oh no oh it's this bad oh no so i'm gonna return overseer the damned and zombie master to the battlefield yeah that's pretty good when overseer the dam enters the battlefield he's going to kill general's enforcer when i kill that that's gonna trigger my overseer of the damned and i'm gonna put a me token into the battlefield tapped pretty good i did not play a land yet this turn so i'm gonna play a sea of clouds that's going to trigger my field of the dead so that's going to create another me token then i'm going to use that mana and i'm going to tap five to cast a death tyrant oh my goodness there's a sweet new card okay it's actually new for this part so i've already passed through attacks i can't do anything else and i passed her okay i will untap rabos will trigger and i will return general's enforcer back to my hand okay uh then i will draw for turn uh okay i'm just gonna pay two to play general's enforcer that will trigger vanquisher's banner so i will draw a card nice all right i will go to combat and i'm sorry pixie but i need i just i wasn't expecting that oh here's the deal i just need an attack trigger okay and you have 33. i have 33 life you're okay yep that's all i need is just an attack trigger i'm good so i'm just going to swing at you for three i will take three damage going to 30. okay cool and then i'll play my commander trin champion of freedom yay commander yay passing that will trigger vanquishment so i will draw a card uh i will play a land for turn which is my command tower and then i will play sanctuary lockdown you're going to zombie jail you're under arrest okay so now my humans are bonko's big and i will go to my end step triggering champion of freedom to make a human soldier all right i will pass my turn to you pixie um on your m-step i will tap my witch's oven to sacrifice my flesh bag marauder and create a food token sweet okay because that died i'm going to make a 2-2 zombie from my overseer of the damned that will trigger my jury so jerry will get another counter cool and i will go to my turn untapping draw my card um okay i am going to pay two and cast timerette the murder king okay i will also pay one tap my cryptic caves and sacrifice it to draw a card that's a pretty good card jury triggers and i will pay two more and cast reassembling skeleton nice i like that okay and that's it i will pass my term okay so i'm going to untap and draw for turn i'm going to because of bolas's citadel take a look at the top part of my library uh i'm going to play that cards it's a swamp oh so i'm going to put out uh me token and then i'm going to repeat the process so i am going to tap 6 for my general so verino will come out uh i am going to move to attack phase i have a response to this okay path tags on your command laszlo templating we got a stack any responses i mean i'm not playing blue so all my stuff hex proof and me hex proof until end of turn all right that's just going to fizzle but i will pay the one for it obviously and ums one so i'm gonna put out a zombie army and that's gonna come in with one plus one plus one counter because of the a mass one mm-hmm so many zombies woof so we are in the attack phase and i am going to swing at tybalt with four two two zombies timmy he wants to gain life and on that trigger i'm gonna draw eight because of my alhameret's archive holy moly and i'm gonna discard four that's gross so i'm going to discard a reflecting pool a snow-covered swamp a morphic pool and a snow-covered plains but they're so pretty okay no blocks so tibble is going to die okay so we can gain life again uh-oh we who's this we i'm going to plus liliana uh-oh and i'm going to discard a triggers uh one i will draw a card off ankutus banner and the other is i will create a one one white human creature token because of hero of precinct one okay i will go to combat all right i will attack craig with rabos and i will attack a pixie kitten with a human soldier and trin champion of freedom wow i will pay for ghostly prison how big is ravos rabbos is uh it's a 5'4 flyer and how big are the things attacking me a 7 6 and a 5 4. oh those are big okay i'm going to block tran with the reassembling skeleton okay and you'll take the five yes okay and i'm gonna block rabbos with my overseer of the damned okay before damage i want to sacrifice my reassembling skeleton to the witch's oven and create a food token makes sense okay so since that died my overseer is going to see that dying and i'm going to put in another me token tapped and that triggers jury jury is a 5'5 and because that was a blocking creature that died beholder is going to trigger and i'm going to make another untapped me oh this is so good and then damage happens my overseer is going to die i'm taking five damage yes okay post combat second main phase i'm gonna activate windbrisk heights to cast my hideaway card which is negan the cold blooded oh no just funny because you have a bunch of zombies it's kind of going the opposite way it's flavor though it's pretty flavorful i've got the horde over here it's just okay so i have a few triggers here first vanquisher's banner is going to trigger so i'm going to draw a card man you can't stop that value engine uh hero precinct one is going to trigger which means i make a white human creature token oh my goodness uh and then the enter the battlefield trigger for negan will happen all right so craig i'm going to choose you yeah we're both going to secretly choose a creature so somebody has to write something down so basically if we chose the same creature you lose one okay if we choose different creatures you lose both okay i'm gonna choose that creature the death tyrant okay i chose the zombie token that came in this turn so this one the tapped one okay so wow i'm going to sacrifice both of these creatures i will make two treasure tokens cool and then i'm going to tap three and sacrifice the treasure to activate general's enforcer's ability to exile target creature cart from a graveyard okay then you're going to target the death toll i will target the death threat in response i am going to pay two and my nyx trying to nix making six mana and i am going to bring it back onto the battlefield wow that was gross yeah that was pretty gross i'm going to tap this way um all right uh i will go to end step uh train will trigger because i did attack this turn and i will make a human soldier oh wait i will also i need to play lane for turn i will play a path of ancestry tapped very cool i will pass turn okay so all i could do i will untap draw my card for turn i will pay three and cast mayhem devil nice oh before that comes out in response i'm going to sack a zombie army to my fraxion tower okay to make two black mana i'm going to exile a morphic pool and a reflecting pool from my graveyard to make a tutu zombie using varina's ability and it enters tapped okay because you sacrificed a creature i get to make a treasure token nice just gonna be so helpful with the mayhem devil then i will pay three and i will cast victimize oh man so i'm going to sacrifice tymeret the murder king okay and then i'll get flesh bag marauder and woe strider onto the battlefield tapped because you sacrificed something uh negan will trigger and i will create another treasure which i will represent with a die so jury will get an additional counter my mayhem devil will trigger i will do one damage to craig okay i take one going down to 11. and then both of my creatures have entered the battlefield stuff when woe strider enters the battlefield i will create a goat creature token cool and when flesh bag marauder enters the battlefield each player will sacrifice a creature okay i will sacrifice a tapped zombie i will sacrifice my goat i'm gonna sack here precinct one which will trigger judith the scourge diva and i will do one damage to you craig okay i will take one and putting me at 10. because the two of you sacrifice creatures negan will trigger twice and i will have two more treasure tokens okay jury gets another counter when i sacrifice the goat and that'll be three mayhem devil triggers as well and i will do three damage to cray all right i will take three putting me at seven i'm out of cards this is so sad i think you're trying to kill craig and i want to help you whenever you sacrifice a creature i get treasures every treasure i sacrifice will trigger mayhem devil to do damage so why should i kill craig number one it's craig okay he's using zombie tokens with his face on them if you kill him this turn though i can promise not to kill you for two turns two turns immunity two turns immunity that's pretty good okay so craig why should i not kill you because i am not asking you to do anything i will kill gorov and give you three turns immunity three answers three terms but we're wrap dose buddies we're gonna get three times all you have to do is your flesh back marauder and i'll take care of the rest the problem is that he is about to gain a bunch of life and draw a bunch of cards if he gets to attack that's true and i ain't got no prisons okay i am going to sacrifice the flesh bag marauder to the wow strider to scry1 okay interesting when you sacrifice the creature i will gain a treasure token um jury will get another counter a mayhem double will trigger i will do one damage to craig oh no all right i take one putting me at six so i'm assuming you're taking garop's deal then here yeah yes i am okay i'm gonna scry one i don't really care for that so i'm gonna put it on the bottom all right okay to make this deal official i will sacrifice six treasures to make a white white white black black black okay and i will get six mayhem devil triggers in response i will tap bolas's citadel and sack ten permanents to deal 10 damage to each of them how many creatures are being sacrificed it's important for negan three three creatures so i will get three treasure tokens so i'm gonna sacrifice a death tyrant a zombie master and i'll hammer its archive ghostly prison liliana fellow stone talisman hierarchy zorya cigna and bolas and citadel to make each of you lose ten okay i have a response to that okay uh because i have mana floating i'm gonna exile target creature card from your graveyard to make a human okay with the boluses citadel trigger on the stack i've got ten mayhem devil triggers oh i'm going to point them all at garrov oh betrayal wow this deal really backfired in my face okay i'll take 10 go to 14. and then bolas citadel will resolve you each take ten okay i don't mind i kind of mind and i'll go to four okay and now my mayhem double triggers will finally resolve and craig you will take six all right i'll take six and die i become a zombie and then i'm going to tap my witch's oven and i am going to sacrifice jury when jury dies it deals damage equal to its power to any target jury is an eight eight so i will do eight damage to your phase oh do you have a response i have no response to that sadly so you take a damage and then i'll die
