[Music] scott's gonna fly all right coming in on day three out here on the big fat enormous deodorant you know i actually i actually think this is an atlas cedar um it's a true cedar and so is that there are three types there's uh atlas which comes in a blue variety there's cedar of lebanon and then there's deodora cedar which also comes in a bluish variety i think but they're all super similar i think the only way you can really tell that i know of is the structure i think that one's a deodorant see how it's a bit more droopy and i think this is an atlas cedar it's got big scaffold arms and i think the cedar of lebanon has like long straight horizontal branches i could be totally wrong about that they're they're so they're so similar and it's really hard to tell like just looking at the the wood it's virtually all the same stuff but it's a it's a true cedar it's not native to this to it's not native to washington state but anyways scott's gonna fly up there we're gonna start craning some stuff out it's gonna be a lot of fun brian's checking his fluids keeping up on his screen get irresponsible adult or at least he's pretending to today's gonna be a great day we're gonna get a little bit more done okay double tie it in check check everything looks good check wings all right up up and away let's get the top out of this one closest to you oh it's windy up here look at that we got all sorts of good access now all right boom down a little bit all right hold that 10 050 that's it we might need a new crane you guys yeah that's good we're gonna try to balance his pick the best we can gonna be a sideways one or up and down one i'm gonna try to do an up and down one you oiling i noticed my little husky bar the other day wasn't oiling and i only have a oil port on one side of the bar so when i flipped it upside down it wouldn't oil what kind of bar are you using my electric saw it only has a port on one side dude there's literally like a piece of rubber on the inside of the other like the other side it looks like there's an oil port they plugged up with rubber i don't know it was pretty cool though i uh i did that chainsaw review and complained about the tensioner it was cool when a rep from husky reached out to me and offered to send me a new tensioner he said they got a bad batch of them that's what i do i blame it on somebody else too yeah maybe but but caleb showed me a little zip tie trick where you like just put a tiny little piece of plastic like as a spacer behind the tensioner and i haven't had problems since it's kind of cool somebody reached out though husky cares man i wonder if he'll call you on your birthday scott knows my birthday tell him scott it's the 30th kevin's like oh i got so much stuff i got to deal with my wife's birthday it's my anniversary and mother's day and i was like what about my birthday he totally didn't even know about my birthday but i already got your i already have your gift picked out you do i do is it expensive that's all that matters it's pretty expensive okay but i am kind of poor okay better action nice job emmy all right let's put some weight on that all right hopefully this doesn't flop over too hard getting close yep [Music] i believe in you guys i think you can process this one i'm flying the drone i believe in you kevin you're to want to get your saw ready though guarantee that all right here we go brian what you got in it yeah i'm good all right so what you want to do from here brian cable up a little bit and then go over to the right ready [Music] all right let's go get another top all right so um try to get between these two tops is this next one gonna be a good kick yeah this is going to be a nice pick it's like i get one battery perfect behind it so it's like i got it i think we got some time i'm still uh setting up how's it going down there good nice and i don't feel so bad about giving you another big one keeps it fun when you actually have to think about processing you know we got more tree on the menu are you all rigged up i am rigged up can you give me that clap again anytime jake go ahead and cable up for some weight where are you is that good yeah that's good yep all right brian what do you got in it let's start at 25. you're free yes cable up so we're not playing around today folks no [Music] sir wow yeah look at that thing that's gonna be minutes of fun nice pick scott truck yep there you are wow you guys are still working on that [Music] huh get that [Music] you make sure i don't snag his rope wow i want to see how high that this this one is you know if it's in bucket range then when i'm gone somebody can hop in the bucket and we can start doing logs you know yeah yeah just get the tall stuff well that's what i want to find out how tall this is i mean you guys are doing great down there man you're killing it yeah you too you're literally killing it you're killing it twice you're killing it i'm i'm just mutilating it that's so weird to laugh at it's crazy how slow the elevator feels when you're up there when you're down here it's so fast yeah that's how tall the bucket is oh so close man so if i just take this limb with the log down to that union and the same with the other side we'll be completely set up before the bucket no more climbing if we don't want to that'll be nice i remember when we got this bucket i was like that is so cute but i'm never used that thing i've really i've really learned to love the bucket all right good hold that for a second let me figure this out all right keep tabling up all right i hope all right all right why don't you uh put some weight in that all right just a few branches left we're full again lunch again and then back at it my wife's buying these in bulk now okay no those are the salads the salads because because of my addiction to the salad i'm addicted to the tube salad the tube salad is amazing i got a mango but i don't have a knife yeah you could probably just like like cut a hole in the top just what like your teeth just like rip a chunk out and then squeeze it all out into your mouth what about the pit i don't know does it have a pit have you ever eaten a mango no man i don't like mangoes what do i look like you've never eaten a mango no i look like a parrot what i eat mangoes it's not like some unusual i've eaten some dry mangoes you don't know what's in here yeah i've never opened a mango i've never opened you've like you've like traveled the world and never eaten a mango no i didn't even know there was a pit in there i just figured what did you think was in here i just thought it was mango in there like dried mango no i've had dried like mangoes right like slices there's a big pit in there my wife it's at least it's at least 50 pit in there is it really it's a seri there's a serious pit there's a serious mechanical problem here not having it i didn't know that there was that problem it's a big problem i'm just gonna have to go for it yeah i didn't know that i don't know well the skin doesn't taste very good don't roll down my all right i shouldn't throw my now i don't know what to do with my oh i can put it you should get like a potato peeler for it maybe your chainsaw will cut it a knife is the way to do the chainsaw would probably dude i've got my uh or you've got your uh yours or your sugar sugar my hand saw his handsaw i don't think it would work no i'm not like looking forward to this kale i hope the massaging work i do not like kale i do not like kale i do not like soy you know it's for schweitzer what is what what do they make out of soy the soy so what's that what's that that meat that artificial meat they don't make meat from the soy what what's tofu tofu that's soy yeah it is i don't like i don't like tofu was there tofu in there i don't think there's tofu in here you just tell me all the stuff you don't like i'm just telling you the stuff i don't like i don't like kale i don't like soy uh specifically i don't like olives you don't like olives oh my god like black olives i don't like olives i like every few months i eat one thinking maybe i'll like it now and i just think like how can people eat these they're so bad olives really this kale is pretty gross but you massage it so i don't really massaging helped you need some massage oil really get in there i do kind of feel like a parrot in this mango like this all right how you never seen on the inside of a mango you seen on the inside of a submarine but not the inside of my hands to live on a submarine i never had to live on the inside of a mango you didn't have a lot of mangoes on the submarine no didn't you ever like pull up to fort and bora bora and hop out and you know no no it wasn't like i didn't hit any ports dude keep it in the tube man i don't know you squeeze and you can't put it back like if you take a break you just open the bag and it falls back in and then you gotta re-wrap you gotta re-wrap if you do that that looks like a horrible experience you know a knife would make it a lot faster than my teeth have you had dried mangoes we have a dried mangoes i've also had wet mangoes too they're really good yeah is it are dry mangoes better than those mango like wet mangoes i'm just wondering i don't know what i like the wet mangos first of all you knew yeah like look where you're at now you never had a mango well usually i have a knife look what you have to go through well usually this process is expedited by the use of cutlery so i don't i'm trying to use my teeth like a beeper beaver yeah mango viewers love mangoes see now i can take a bite but the pit's like how much pit i'm just really curious because it's like i bet it's 50 tip i have no idea like i really don't know what's inside that's the pip see how close it was see that's the paint right there it's a lot of pit man that is a lot of pit should we just like shave off chunks well usually because you don't cut right through a mango no usually i cut it into like four sections off the pit and peel it peel it off the pit or something well i just cut it and then i kind of like hold it and eat it like that okay look at the corn on the cob i'll bring another mango tomorrow you know it's not as cultured this way it's not that bad how you never but they're like at the store you see mangoes i see in them i've seen them just sitting there and you've never been like i want to try one no really not like a mango fan you haven't had one bite there's nothing else to eat except for like some dried mangoes what's with the dried mangoes why are you talking about mangoes that's all i've ever had before the market share of wet mangoes is substantially larger than that of dried mangoes nobody talks about dried mangoes that's all i've ever been exposed to who's eating dried i mean i eat dried mango she buys the she wipes she buys the dry mangoes why doesn't she buy the wet mangoes has she ever had one i've never seen her bring a wet mango into my house most people just call it makeup but we're talking specifically about dried and the wet variety of mangoes it was pretty wet a lot of surfing going on there wouldn't be so much slurping if i had a knife is mango like a superfood i don't i don't know i don't think so kayla's i'm full from my mango did you see the pit you see how big it was that was a pit you saw the pit right oh man that's like half the mango it's dead it's like is it fat and like skinny or what oh man that's so bad it's pretty big so it's like a flat pit it's kind of flattish it looks flat kind of flat i was expecting the whole thing to be like totally round like an avocado but like nah it's not like avocado it's like a vegetarians are always eating uh imitation meat yeah that's not sincere they're like doing now like just have your own thing like be okay with just like yeah can you just be okay with eating vegetables but i had this idea i could start a restaurant and i tell pitch it to vegetarians like you won't believe it's not meat but i'm just serving the meat this looks so realistic these bone and chicken wings look authentic how did they get the bones in there all right we just screwed the bucket over we ate lunch i'm just gonna keep taking branches off just like we've been doing for three days so we just got a handful left we're getting close i think i can barely barely get the rest of this brush i think we're gonna be okay nice looks like no more climbing up here hey brian you got it hold on stay there brian you got a scraggly headache all right yep go ahead wow [Music] [Music] so um [Music] all right there you go what's up the rest of the brush i want one more chippable piece right here all right that's the last of the chippables so see that one kind of flopped it wasn't really that balanced if we were far away from the crane you know we'd be a lot more hesitant to have shaky picks but we're right next to the crane so he's good for just a gigantic amount of weight so even if something shakes it's like the crane's weighing for so much it's not really that as big of a deal as if you can have something much smaller but really far away if it shakes you know you've got all that pressure on the boom way out here so it can be a lot a lot more likely to tip or something but this thing is so close if they don't pick perfectly smooth it's not the end of the world i'm just gonna come down and get a bigger saw before i even try to get involved well here's the thing is i've got these two trunks that are super close together so i don't know if i'm going to be able to put like a sling like i don't really want to do a sling on both of them i'd like to do one at a time but i'm not going to be able to wrap anything down here i think i'm going to have to go pretty big on this one is there room to lay down like a 30-footer or 25-footer and cut it there you see what i'm saying because i don't have enough room to squeeze a sling in here so i think i think i'll take the scum arm off and then move the truck into the driveway so that we got more room to work with you the fourth bucket set up fifth bucket set up hey all right unless someone tried to tar that over yeah many years ago they used to tar like wounds yeah we just put concrete in there too concrete hopefully there's none of that in here how old do i think it is yeah i guess 120 years old turns on a dime this one's really awkward it's really like thrown into the tree see how this goes good look at all that sediment in here is that tar might be tar i can't really tell i think it's just old nastiness so this is something to look for when you got really tight unions in your trees like you get sediment in here and it can kind of pry the tree apart over time especially water and stuff getting in there and freezing over and over again and expanding you know this stuff decays it's not ideal these super tight tight unions sometimes uh the trees can fail at these points so it's something to look out for so you can see here see there's no like perfect way to make these cuts see scott does it different than me he severs all the wood around and leaves like a post in the middle and that way the piece can't like move that far in any direction it just kind of breaks off and uh you know that that works for him um you know so lots of different ways to do it the shelf cut cutting straight through there isn't just one way to do it it depends on the piece too you know i'm gonna do a couple little um hum bolts brian when i boom to the right all right get back over it okay cinch it up i think i'd like to put this sling a little lower just to be safe i've only got like a foot to the top i don't i don't think that's wise okay good okay cable up yep all right that's a little safer what are you good for there brian all right for eleven thousand got five thousand on it we're gonna go pretty low i'm gonna cut this little awkward stub off [Music] wow now all right buddy all right yeah i'll take the 88. it's very nice very nice pile of sling there brian go ahead and cable up it's impressive but not helpful when you do that right all right let's do this 50 inches of fun comes a fat daddy pic buddy this is probably longer than 16 but the the the unions are so weird that let's take care of it down there and i'm glad i got this long car yeah i think i'm gonna cut it right back here yeah it's probably gonna weigh six or seven thousand pounds if i had to guess fred all right ah water so [Music] i think you're free brian okay wow what's that way 63 oh it smokes so cable down okay hold it [Music] um ah i'm free you can see right here this is a nice call this compartmentalization that's where the tree heals a wound they don't really heal because the tissue doesn't repair itself instead the tree you can see like a fresh cut here if the tree is doing well you know when there's a cut or a branch breaks the tree will start layering wood on top to close to close up and call it compartmentalization because the tree is attempting to block the interior of the tree off from the outside elements so it's actually really that imagine how long imagine how long it takes for all that wood to grow this is an old tree but that wound healed really nicely i don't think this one's gonna heal so nicely yep go doing ahead [Music] uh [Music] all right hitting all the angles jake yeah you're free do you think we need humboldt i think we can i think we can do everything from the ground i think i'm done right am i crazy sometimes i can't tell sling it rig it up from the ground and cut it oh okay so close we should get one of like the stump hovering over the cut and put the gnome in there you know like he's holding it [Music] do you want to point this while i cut it put it this way you'll have to decide as the video goes up [Laughter] hmm [Music] hmm [Music] wow that would be the spot well hold on you gotta if you're not cut in there somewhere you're gonna want to keep that open [Music] double up double up right here okay all right hold getting close oh um very nice okay yep what are you doing back there kevin 89 to 90. wow i thought i was gonna be a lot older i did too those growth rings are gigantic man that's just crazy look how much it was growing every year each one of these is a year of growth this is the growing season this is the dormant season summer winter summer winter you got 108 well i like kevin's counting i guess 110. okay block what almost lasted all right we're parking it all up that's it for the enormous theodora cedar removal nice job scott yeah you too have a good night look at all this wood i'm not sure what's to become of it it's only like 89 90 years old with these lots incredible just massive one of the biggest trees i've ever done for sure but everybody did super well it was nice you know doing a big tree like this it was as easy as it could have been the equipment that we had really good equipment nice job brian [Music] all right well hopefully you like that don't forget to like and subscribe and we'll see you on the next one [Music] so [Music] you
