lord on my soul and all that's within me bless his holy name hallelujah hallelujah tonight i feel like celebrating i don't know about anybody else but i want to celebrate because god has been too good he's been too good to me i know he's been good too good to y'all yeah yeah so he's been too good i know he was good to you too we're going to celebrate tonight because jesus is lord and we have a friend in him we're going to celebrate because he's our rock he's our fortress he's our he's our bomb in gilead he's the healer he's the protector we're going to celebrate because he's the same guy today that he was yesterday i feel another prayer is coming on he's the same guy today that he was yesterday we gonna give him glory tonight i feel led to pray for tonight just for you to have a gratitude spirit an attitude of gratitude because god has been just that good and what i've learned this week is if you change your mindset god will get right into the middle of it the more you focus on the negative the more the negative expands but if you magnify him i think there's a verse that says oh magnify the lord oh magnify the lord i think that's what it says so we're going to magnify him tonight we're going to pray and we're going to worship and then the word's going to come and somebody's going to get saved tonight i'm i'm crazy enough to believe it i'm crazy enough to believe it so father thank you for your goodness thank you for your mercy thank you for all that you've done and all that you continue to do we give you glory for your consistency we give you glory for your love for your favor for your grace for us god you just been good and for that i just have to say thank you and when i was bad you were good when i wasn't the best you were still good when people died around me you were still good when the car almost hit me you were still good when i was sick in the bed you were still good when i was going through the depression you were still good when i lost my mind just for a little bit god your goodness came and snatched me and for that i say thank you now god we pray and we ask you to fix our mind says give us the attitude of gratitude where we thank you in all things we thank you in all things not just the good things but the bad things past nick says have faith in you for the good things but trust you in the bad things god we declare tonight that we will be grateful unto you because you're worthy to be praising you sent your son and we call him jesus we're going to talk about that name we're going to lift that name now god bless this service bless pastor nick as he comes to give the word let someone be saved let someone reclaim be re-reclaimed into the church let someone unite with this great church in jesus name do me a favor do me a forever yeah so why should i complain he said that he'd be with me for the rest of my day from standing on a mountain or walking through a maze know [Music] but everything i need [Music] [Music] put you're [Music] praise lord everybody welcome to another emerging worship service so glad that you can join us this evening uh just for a quick uh time in the lord in the word in worship we hope you enjoyed the emerging worship group again so glad that you can join us uh this evening every saturday at 6 pm just to add uh to your teach dad teaching to your life some instruction uh the word of god worship praise prayer another time for us to connect i'm so glad you can join us again uh we wish you were back in person we cannot wait for it uh but we're still just taking our time just in case with the numbers going up but lord willing will be back in the building soon um we're getting ready to pray for you all getting ready to believe god for you and with you trust god that he'll begin to move in your life trust that god will begin to heal your heart and your mind that these series of messages about jesus and our mental health will help encourage you help lift you up give you some tools that you need to survive and to not only survive but thrive in a difficult season again we're praying for you believing god with you um if you need to be saved for praying and believe that you'll give the lord your life this evening if you need to rededicate your life to the lord you walked away from god from at one point in time you will make every commitment and come back to him if you need to join this church you want to join our church you want to connect to the ministry uh you can make this connection this evening uh we're believing god that he'll draw you to him the bible says no man comes unless he is drawn we're believing that god will draw you to him we're believing god with you and trusting god that tonight be a life change for those of us who are saved we're praying that you receive this word and god will begin to add to you and build you up and strengthen you and perfect that which concerns you come on let's pray father i thank you for this moment we honor you for today we thank you because you have allowed us to see this day it is the day that you have made we will rejoice we will be glad in it uh it's a particular day that had its challenges good times is bad times and lord we thank you that you have allowed us to experience it and father i pray that you would speak to us this evening i pray that you would begin to open up our hearts and minds help us to receive what you have to say we pray lord that you would begin to touch us lord in the area of our emotions and our thought process we pray now that you would begin uh to save somebody that lord somebody to give you their life for the first time i pray that you will draw them to you those need to rededicate their life i pray that you will connect them to you those leaders church home we pray that you will make it they will be connected this evening to connect to this church bless us now as you go into the word in jesus name amen um if you need to give the lord your life you need to be saved you would dedicate your life to the church home come on make that commitment put your name in the comments section someone from our team will connect with you all right let's get into this so uh we've been talking about god and our mental health is trying to help add to uh what the lord has to say to help us through these seasons like this of frustration um all these things going on at the same time we're praying and believing that you would begin to uh open your heart to god and allow him to touch you um your mind your heart and strengthen you uh something we talked about on wednesday strengthen your heart when it's weak so we're believing god for you and we're tonight we're going to jump into kindness we talked about faith we talked about peace love joy we got into hope tonight we're talking about kindness the one thing the world is trying to conform us this really launched on uh romans 12 2 this whole series was be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind uh the transformation that god wants to give is opposite of the conforming that the world wants to do the world wants to shape us in the worst way it wants to watch this contort us there it is it wants to contort us it wants to change us from the outside in god wants to change us from the inside out he wants us to be transformed renewed revived by the renewing of our minds and a part of that is the world wants us to be unkind mean angry frustrated anxious stressed out all the time god wants us living in joy peace kindness it doesn't mean we won't have those feelings it just means that we learn to deal with those feelings and let the spirit of god the fruit of the spirit help us to overcome those feelings and a part of the character of christ is kindness god wants us to be kind in a very unkind world it doesn't mean that we are foolish and act like things don't happen or we walk around they say but you say back in the day with rose-colored glasses on we start to walk around perceiving and seeing the kindness in the world i see the worst and i acknowledge that it's bad but how can i add kindness to what's going on kindness god is kind to us god is good to us romans 11 12 consider therefore the kindness and sternness of god is to those who fail talking about israel but kindness to you providing you continuous kindness god loves you god is kind to us and he wants us to stay in that kindness he wants us to stay in that kindness he wants us to stay um with him all right and not be like the others who chose a unrighteous path and watch this receive the fruit of their decisions which is an unrighteous ending god wants us to experience his kindness he wants us to have kind words also proverbs 16 24 kind words are like honey sweet to the soul and healthy for the body kind words are people experiencing sweetness and health when they hear you talk are you speaking kind words to yourself or are we finding destruction in desecration all these things in what we say god wants us to speak kind words he wants them to be like honey something sweet to the soul he wants to be medicinal health to the body there's somebody that needs your kind words someone that needs you to be able to express good things to them to uplift them but also don't forget about yourself it has to be a part of who we are also colossians 3 12 therefore is god's chosen people and dearly beloved clothe yourselves with compassion kindness humility gentleness and patience we are god's chosen people we are dearly loved by him and god wants to clothe ourselves when he thinks about clothing means identify yourself uh wrap yourself in it become these things be compassionate be kind be humble be gentle and be patient god wants us to wrap ourselves clothe ourselves where when people see us they know we're a kind person when your name pops up in somebody's head they don't roll their eyes like oh not them they they have they have a positive feeling because you are a kind person god wants kindness from us micah 6 8 and we're going to finish this next week and dig into it some more what does the lord require of you but to do justice god wants us to do right by people and help those who are oppressed and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your god god wants us to be just exercise justice justice is a huge part of the scriptures justice and mercy justice for those who are oppressed helping those who are oppressed justice bringing equality all right and loving kindness and to walk with humility with with your god god wants us to love and pursue kindness last scripture when we're done the bible says in ephesians 4 31-32 get rid of all bitterness rage anger harsh words and slander as well as all types of evil behavior instead be kind to each other so god wants us to get rid of our bitterness the rage rages intense anger our anger issues harsh words slandering talking bad about other people as well as all other types of evil behavior instead of being those things be kind to each other don't be bitter towards others harsh words slanderous anger rage towards others instead be kind to each other tender hearted forgiving one another just as god through christ has forgiven you god wants us to treat people the way that he treats us he's not rea he's not bitter towards us he doesn't have rage towards anger he's not harsh words he's not slanderous he's not evil to us but he's kind-hearted he's tenderhearted and he's a forgiving god and god wants us to be the same kindness is intentional putting away all that old stuff is intentional you can choose to live a life we've been talking about this in bible study stuck in pain stuck in anger where all you see in life is anger pain frustration you take it on everybody else you're closed up to everybody you want anybody in you can live and let your pain erode you and eat at you or you can live free work to get rid of that bitterness work to get rid of that anger that's controlling you those harsh words that are coming from a bitter angry part of you slanderous all types of other evil behavioral behavior but god says instead be intentional be kind to each other you don't like everybody but be kind to each other tenderhearted all right have a soft heart not weak in the sense of you can't take nothing uh but tenderhearted meaning that you have compassion towards others and forgiving one another forgiveness doesn't mean we're gonna be friends again doesn't mean we'll ever be cool again i just choose to let you go why because jesus god did it for me i can do it for others kindness is intentional choose to be kind we'll pick this up next week for those of you need to be saved rededicate your life connect to this church again put your name
