inspiration i need because today after such a long wait did you know i drove to jellybean in this seattle area jellybean it was close and remember the end of the titanic when that women threw the diamond into the ocean my heart sunk faster and deeper than that actually i had never had jolly be here in the u.s so i wanted to just kind of see what it was like um in the philippines because today flushing it's so nice to actually have a place to go eat now i'm flushing my car is freezing right now trying to keep the hollow hollow still sort of frozen and not spilt through new york traffic i just won the parking spot lottery it happens like every once in a blue moon in new york city here look i got this one parking spot and there's the building this is incredible seriously you get one of these like maybe a year oh my goodness there's certain things just this just excites me my first bowl ramen in japan the sizzle of a5 wagyu on the grill and fast food places i absolutely adore and this bee it just makes my day it just makes my day i'm so glad i did not eat this morning so this is like breakfast lunch it's like 3 p.m so almost dinner combined into one and we're going to do a little out of water today because obviously we have to eat the the items that's going to perish that's going to be the hala halo and the peach mango pie oh my gosh do i have a smile on my face i think i do look at that crusty peach mango pie i've waited for so long jollibee could you please do all americans a favor please i don't know if you're friends or not but uh sit ronald mcdonald down and teach him how to make a good pie i know i shouldn't really use words like perfect to describe certain food items but in the words of the great chandler being could this be any better what do you look for in a great pie from a fast food place i look for that delightful crunch let's say that near it up that crunch was so beautiful it deserves its own spotify playlist sweet harmony of peach and mango now you don't want to bite you just want to softly kiss and dig deep on this hollow hollow what 20 minutes in the car beans jelly a little flan here's what i love to do something crunchy with something nicey [Music] this pie honestly is one of my favorite things on the jollibee menu and this is so frustrating for me because i'm one of those save the best for the last kind of people so this is so different for me i mean the good thing is i got to have this right away but now the bar is raised high now like my taste buds demands that everything be on the same taste level as this pie all right let's dig into the other stuff namely the chicken i love how they have a little flag on top that says spicy it's almost like the spicy army came and they conquered so they just like yeah yeah this now belongs to the lid of spicy i honestly believe this is one of the best chickens i've had from jollibee of all the times i've been to jollibee comparing this to the jolly bee i had in the philippines i think this chicken is better i i feel like mainly because maybe this just came out of the fryer and i don't know if you heard how amazingly crunchy the outer shell is also i don't know whether to classify this as chicken with fruit that's how juicy this is amazingly crispy skin then once you break through just the tenders juiciest more source of chicken this skin is so good you don't want to waste a single bit of it it's just that extreme contrast of ultra crispy and light to supremely tender and juicy also the skin is flavored so well there's so much heat i love this oh this is gonna be a good piece i know because listen listen you know that turn all the noise around you down a bit if you can maybe go into like a like a room or something close the door because it's so good that's how you're eating parfried chicken i'm just part chicken skin chip how amazing does that shine just glistening with juice now i'm kicking myself because i didn't get the 10-piece bucket jumping really quick to the pants see this is new i don't think i've had this in the philippines but this is the pull-up box it's basically a rice noodle with all sorts of topping on top so here there's meat and shrimp and eggs on top of super thin rice noodles this is delicious you see now why this guy is jolly all the time stuff like this i know what it needs though and i have it right here my buddy adam richman is making pickles now so give me a jar of pickles this thing will go so well with the jar of pickles super soft noodles with little bits of meat tender shrimp i think it's chicharron on top little bits of shrimp but the trick really just eating this all together this noodle is so good it's savory it's buttery it's soft it needs like a little textural difference in a little acid it says i don't have hot oil yo adam you should sell your pickles to jollibee because this is just a perfect combo and it is really saucy it has a great seafood flavor so when you get a nice pickled vinegary hit the flavor just multiplies all right we got another noodle dish here and this one is super super famous meet the jolly bee spaghetti this thing when i ate in the philippines i remember saying that this reminds me of like my elementary school lunch little bits of cut up sausage and hot dogs tomato sauce and cheese just covering the spaghetti it even looks and smells like the elementary school lunch i used to have yeah i definitely have a love-hate relationship with this what i love is the spaghetti spaghetti is excellent the noodles are actually cooked perfectly al dente love the meat you can see that they have little bits of cut up sausage in addition to the hot dog pieces yeah i think there's little bits of minced meat in here as well so all those things i love the only problem i have with this again still a little too sweet for me this thing definitely needs some hot wheels i feel like a ton of spice will be able to reduce the sugar flavor and make this even better but as is love the noodles love the little bits of meat sauce just a little too sweet i think this is like their version of salisbury steak a couple of hamburger patties over rice little bits of mushrooms i'm gonna pop this in the microwave really quick so i can truly enjoy it by the way is that not the coolest microwave [Music] ever so think this is just a regular yum burger patty but there's a reason they call it a young burger love this i think mainly because i love the texture of the meat like my biggest problem with a hamburger patty for example like from mcdonald's is i can't really chew it it's kind of like disintegrates a little bit there's a super nice true i think this is the same patty i'm not sure let's do a side-by-side match uh-huh uh-huh same shape same color what look how thick the patty is this is just a regular yum burger not only is it thick look how juicy that is one bite you'll know why they call it a young burger also check this out it gave me extra gravy now there's quite a few things we can dip here so let's start with this now i'm just mad that our fast food places don't give us huge mango pies and a tub of gravy for us to dip our burgers in that this this needs to happen hmm oh that's good gravy is so rich and thick and peppery and you dip your burger in it that combined with the meat in the cheese i didn't think you could upgrade this burger but i was wrong i'm gonna dip everything into this oh my god i was thinking wouldn't it be great to dip rice into this i didn't get any fresh the one time i had the perfect things to dip fries in i forgot to get the fresh that's okay i got fried chicken [Music] still crispy it's been sitting there for like 30 minutes i'm going to call this the yuma fire like whatever this touches it yummifies it last thing to try jollibee chicken sandwich that is a good-looking chicken sandwich i think i should have tried this first because i had to microwave it so it's not gonna be as crispy as it was this is great look at the size of that patty and it's all white meat so if i got it here i would expect it to be kind of dry but not a jellybean ain't nothing dry in there good burger chicken skin pickle gravy and rice there's just certain fast food places i absolutely adore this is right there on the top of the list i feel like if memory serves me correctly there are some items i couldn't find at the jollibee here that was in the philippines like the hot dog i really liked the hot dog also i think there were some adobo dishes that i wish existed here but overall i think from a quality standpoint the chicken i definitely enjoyed more here like when i was in philippines i remember liking the chicken but i didn't remember just completely going gaga over the chicken like i did today and i really can't believe this is the first time i'm having jolly bee outside of the philippines i'll tell you this place did not disappoint the dishes are just as good as you will find in the philippines so if you guys want to taste a filipino fast food like this is like the most iconic this is like the mcdonald's of the philippines if you guys want to give this a try and see what the fuzz is all about without going all the way to the philippines the jolly bees here just as good try it out in the u.s at least the location i went to right near little manila amazing
